Iowa pig mutilator Joni Ernst finds herself dropping in the polls. Could this be the Sarah Palin curse once again rearing its ugly head?

Courtesy of Politicususa:

Republicans got some bad news on Monday as a poll in a key Senate race revealed that one of their ‘rock stars’ is quickly losing steam and is now trailing against her Democratic opponent. In the open Iowa Senate race, Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA) is now leading Republican State Senator Joni Ernst by five points. Loras College released their poll on Monday. In early August, the polling institute showed Ernst up by six points with her likability numbers climbing. Now, she is scoring a net negative favorability rating with voters while Braley has a net positive.

A loss of eleven points in one month is nothing to sneeze at. It seems the more the voters of Iowa come to know Ernst the Ripper the less they like her.

This candidate is one of Palin's big endorsement success stories so if she flatlines in November it will serve as a crippling blow to Palin's already beaten and bloodied credibility.

Here's hoping that the good people of Iowa make the right choice.

Ah, the palin curse is alive and well, not that she gives a shit. Any endorsement by her this time around is merely a way to justify her P ac spending. She was obviously told she had to spend more on candidates instead of herself. Once she cashed Joni's check I'm sure she forgot all about Miss Piggy Balls.

It's sad that liberals blame everything on a woman who doesn't even think she's influential. Shows how small minded you are. No wonder Obama won twice despite getting flak from even John stewart

If she doesn't think she is influential, then why does she keep trying to influence people with her POS POV? Speeches, books, blogs. WTF?

If she doesn't believe she is influential why did she collect $100,000 from Karen Handel for endorsing her in Georgia? She lost in the primary, by the way. I wonder if Mrs. Palin returned the money, since her candidate didn't win? I somehow doubt it.

Also too, 2:37pm let's not forget that SarahPAC was ranked one of the top 5 worst leadership PACs when it comes to money collected vs. money spent on candidates. Less than 5% of the money that she has collected since starting her PAC has gone to candidates. Not a very sterling track record.

2:46--"doesn't even think she's influential"? You must be kidding. She plays that "just a hockey mom" garbage but she seems to think she's running the country. She's nothing but a negative, sour puss trying to drain this country of any happiness. Palin needs to keep her ugly, dark cloud of negativity to herself.

How did Ernst end up winning? I am a conservative, but I wish she would have lost. I don't care for her ideas towards animals, and I especially do not care for Palin. Just the fact that she backed Ernst would have turned me away if I still lived in Iowa.

And, she wasn't chosen by god only by the voice in her head. She scorns eating fruits and veggies so she never took a bite from the apple from the tree of knowledge. That meat she is so proud of killing and eating was supposed to be sacrificed to god. And, Joni, cutting the balls off of an unclean animal so it will fatten quicker, "to market, to market to buy a fat hog."

Not that I believe any of that biblical BS....but simple Sarah does.....she is waiting to be enraptured.

Oh yes, 2:44, people do vote because of some endorsements. Joni is on record just recently as saying we need more people like Sarah Palin serving in Washington. The majority of Americans and I assume the good folks in Iowa, think (know) that Sarah is a dumb ass. And the majority of us don't want anymore dumb asses in the government.

Perhaps it is a coincidence, but Joni's poll numbers began to tank after she made that statement. She could have dismissed Sarah's endorsement as so many other smart politicians have done, but she did not. She made the statement and I believe it will cost her the election.

So, Hallelujah, praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

This country does not need an elected official so damn stupid that they believe the endorsement of a vicious moron like Palin is something to be proud of.

Nor does the country need an elected official so nasty, bigoted, dishonest, and unethical enough that they actually admire Palin.

However, there is still an unacceptable amount of what we in the troll control profession call "anal leakage" (see "WOW brand potato chips/Olestra") which is basically unauthorized and undesirable trolling by assholes. Rest assured that such activity will not be tolerated and our legal counsel, Rufus T. Here is the deal. I have butchered many pigs in my lifetime, starting as a child( It;s a way of life on a farm. But I do have a problem with anyone that "glorifies" any one butchering, a pig, cow, or chicken.
    Farm/ranch life is
not always pretty, usually it involves someone( an animal) dying so you can live.
I think most consumers buying a chicken, sirloin, bacon, or ham don't think twice about buying that those or don't give a whit,
Sorry, but butchering happens on farms daily and the only thing possible to protect your family is to go meat free.
Sorry I am a meat lover and will continue to eat meat, but at the same time I treat my livestock well and use my herd as an example to others.
There is a way we can have meat( and have meat raised using humane means, but it might mean, buying less meat, hunting your own, or paying more.

Oh the pity for Iowa. Nut cutter looney 'toon splashes into politics with an absurd video, a ton of Koch cash, and an endorsement from Quitter McGrifter. That's 3/3 Iowa, so please reject this wing nut.

All American voters, please wake up and realize an infusion of Koch cash is your first clue the candidate is not for you. Truly, it is that simple. Koch is bad for your health.

Too bad the trolls are thriving on the noxious Koch fumes, may they be hit with a fatal load of Koch chemicals that ride our roads without paying.

Just imagine a states' rights on marriage initiative for a moment: while traveling across the country, a couple would never know if their relationship was considered to be legal or criminal. And the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the United States Constitution would be thrown out the window. This is basic high school civics, folks. Now imagine someone who does not understand these elementary concepts deciding that they are going to make the laws that affect the lives of all the rest of us. Beyond absurd, just beyond absurd. If we could only pull the Tea Party Toddlers out of politics, the IQ and emotional intelligence levels of the average politician would skyrocket.

I think a lot of this change has to do with folks getting over the dumb thing that Braley said quite some time ago (not really that dumb but of course the media deliberately took it the wrong way to make it a story) which initially artificially inflated Pigwoman's favorability. Nevertheless, if Pigwoman dragged old Sarah onto the stage with her now, she'd tank. Nobody likes Sarah as a political figure, they only like her for her hooker impersonations.
