Last night's New Rules referenced not only the Alaska reporter who quit to fight for the legalization of pot, but also our very own quitter-in-chief.

I was happy to see that Maher covered Charlo Greene's dramatic exit, and therefore Alaska's efforts to legalize marijuana, but somewhat less than happy to see him use Palin to suggest that we are all just a bunch of quitters.

The hell we are! We are a dogged and determined bunch as will be more than obvious in the weeks to come.

By the way I could not find the entire New Rules segement on one YouTube video, so here is part two. It doesn't take a shot at Palin, but it is still pretty good.

When someone mentions quitting, especially in quitting in grand style on TV-- why do people keep remembering that Sarah Palin quit her job as Governor?

Palin 'quit' - continues making appearances throughout the country and does nothing but continue to bring negative energy to Alaska. Most Americans think we were nuts in electing her!

I love Bill Maher who cannot stand Sarah Palin! He knocks her in some way on every one of his shows!

B/c she DID! Quittah! Quitters day is Jul 3 in Alaska I'm sure everyone, well almost everyone rejoices! Ding, dong...now if y'all can get rid of SPv2.0 you may have progress in your state.
I love how Bill Maher and Jon Stewart have the balls to say what these bought off wusses won't say in the MSM! So afraid Sarah the Thug from Wasilly will get mad and get them fired like Martin Bashir, where as Bill Maher throws down..." Sarah Palin is a C*unt"! Flying monkey's attack he makes more jokes...lol! They throw down about Quitter Palin!
They throw down about Bullshit mountain! These two guys are the only REAL news (under the *comedy label*) that will dare to say what other won't.
    I love them both!!!

5:45 Don't forget that a few years ago Sarah Palin went after Bill Maher and threatened him w/a lawsuit. She always referred to his lack of manliness and the fact he is short!

She didn't scare him off one bit and I love that he still comes after her.

Truthfully, he'd probably love having her sue him and get her in Court! She'd lose big time and he knows it!

@6:48 I agree, Sarah insults him by calling him "Little Billy," and she told President Obama to return Maher's million dollar contribution because Maher said rude things about her. (I don't think that the money was every returned. Bill said that it was the best million dollars he ever spent).

Maybe that's why Maher usually throws in a joke about Sarah, "Oh, I love to kid Sarah Palin," makes it political satire, protected by the 1st amendment that Track bravely defended. I don't think that Sarah should be making jokes about short people. She's not tall, no matter how high those red, white and blue heels are. And Todd isn't much taller than she is.

The segment with Alexandra Pelosi on the cluelessness of U.S. voters should be looped, playing non-stop anywhere there's a Democratic Party office or get-out-the vote effort.

As a former registered Republican who figured out I was really a Democrat once I started paying close attention to the issues (2008), I have a message for the Dem. Party: Stop with the identity politics. You are the party of freedom, personal and government responsibility, and economic prosperity but you've allowed the GOP to co-opt those words and convince the country otherwise. As long as large numbers of voters think you only represent single women, people of color, and union members, you're propping up the GOP and their misinformation campaign to get people voting against their interests.

It was horrible watching the show last night and seeing just how uninformed random Americans were when asked questions about politics!

America has a mess on its hands when it comes to education. We truly are a dumbed-down society and I blame it on the Republicans.

The school system provided the poor are awful - and, the buildings they are housed in as well! We should be ashamed of ourselves.

The rich (1%) will eventually be in control and folks are not going to know what hit them. It's frightening to think about! Remember too, they could care less about the poor or middle class!

Pay attention for whom you vote. It's so, so important!

Huh? I didn't comment about Maher yesterday but I'll see if I can help.

I found the Pelosi segment on YouTube. The video and sound is poor but the message is still there. (Since it's from an HBO show I don't know if there's a better video available.)

Bill Maher's personality frequently irritates me. But this man may be doing more to educate the public than any other single individual between his funding of Alexandra Pelosi's work and producing VICE News on HBO.

Maher's personality doesn't irritate me. I've been watching his show for a long time and I find him the only political/comedian that educates America!

He says it like it is! Plus, he's knowledgeable, well read, well prepared and has great people on his show that include Republicans, Independents and Democrats!

Plus, he is an Atheist which really brings interesting conversation when it comes to the religious leaning that are on his show! He was raised Catholic!

I recommend his show to everyone! He can be offensive sometimes - a fair warning! But, he also makes me laugh out loud!

He's also Jewish on his mother's side and according to Jewish culture, you're Jewish if your mother is Jewish but because his father is Catholic, he was raised in the Catholic faith. I love Bill Maher. He's intelligent and witty without even trying. I could tell he was pretty pissed about any intervention in the Middle East. I love it when he says "I kid" and has some of the best one liners on the Quitter Grifter!

I notice (at least when I see it) the R's laugh nervously when he makes fun of them! Do they Really believe the shit they spew? Even on Jon's program when he tries to debate a R they won't go there with him or laugh nervously...hmmm why I wonder?

I have a question about Glenn Grothman, who is running for Congress as a tea partier from Wisconsin. Seems that Grothman wants to abolish the laws that provide for a 40-hour work week. Hmmm: wonder whether Grothman is ALSO one of those guys who is intent on erecting, at taxpayer-expense, of course, a stone monument to the Ten Commandments in front of every public building? You know, that set of laws from God that commands us to "Remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy (and "thou shall do NO WORK on the Sabbath")"?
