Never has the difference between Creationism and Evolution been explained quite so well.

And there you have it.

So you believe hawkins knows more than the evidence that nature provides. Namely that evolution produced two complete dna stands from elements in a broth. I don't know if Cameron knows more than Hawkins but his faith isn't nearly as strong as it takes much more faith to believe that nothing can create complex factories called simple cells then rna and dna both male and female at the exact same time and then evolve into you. Yes mr Hawkins may be intelligent but denies himself the ability to approach life with an open mind.

How is Mr. Hawkins not open minded? A vast knowledge developed through a life time of study does not close ones mind.
Believing all life"s answers come from a book written so long ago by people who knew relatively nothing, that's what shuts a mind down.
And you really don"t know if Cameron is smarter than Hawkins? Really?

Clearly, you did not excel at biology and chemistry in school.

Really? Where did God come from? From nothingness? How did two of all the species arrive at the Ark, which by the way was smaller than an ocean liner? Where was the food for them? What kept the tigers from eating the deer? What kind of God kills everyone, including children, by drowning them when He had the power to gently guide them? You're an idiot.

Well, now, that's your problem right there.

    6. I swear that I NEVER expected somebody to come over and defend Kirk Cameron this morning.

I think that just made my day.

I don't think you understand the definitions of "open" vs "closed."

Watch a few episodes of Cosmos (if you dare) and then try to tell us that scientists are closed minded.

      Just to clarify:

Stephen Hawking (not Hawkins) is a theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author, and one of the most brilliant minds in the world. He has written several best-selling books, done groundbreaking research in black holes, won countless international awards and honors, and is still searching for a single theory that can unify cosmology and quantum mechanics to explain the origins of the universe. He has survived decades with ALS, 50 years beyond the doctors' original prognosis. At age 72 he is still having an enormous impact on the world and the field of scientific theory.

Kirk Cameron is an actor who reads the words other people write and is most well known for appearing in a television situation comedy that stopped airing 22 years ago.

    9. Your definition of an open mind doesn't add up. A closed-mind is one when presented with the evidence, denies or ignores it. An open-mind is one that when presented with the evidence accepts it. Has anyone presented evidence that supports Creationism that cannot be classified as wishful thinking? Until they do, claiming the lack of an open-mind is an unsupported argument.

I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday. In the "religion" section, someone had laid down a Harry Potter Illuminating Wand on the shelf in front of the Bibles. Didn't have my iPhone handy, damnit. LOL
