Witness to Palin brawl who went public has been fired. Update!

Courtesy of TPM:

A man who said he witnessed an epic fistfight last weekend at an Anchorage, Alaska party that allegedly included Sarah Palin's family was reportedly fired from his job after telling ABC's "Good Morning America" what he saw.

Eric Thompson, who said he was one of some 70 guests at the rowdy party, told ABC that he saw Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol land several punches on a man who once dated her sister Willow.

"Bristol just reached back and started clocking him, she hit him -- reached way back here and caught him right on the chin, I counted at least six times."

Thompson was fired from his job after sharing that account with ABC, according to a producer for Entertainment Tonight.

Some of you already sent me this link to Coyne's Twitter page that gave me a heads that this has happened.
For those of you who wonder why nobody in Alaska dishes the dirt on the Palins I think this helps to explain why.

Thompson worked for the McKenna brother's, whose party the Palins crashed, and in fact they are good friends with Todd, so of course he is going to pressure them into firing the man.

And by doing this the Palins are also sending a warning to anybody who may be thinking of doing an interview or selling video to the tabloids.  (Of course the good thing about video is that you don't have to identify the source, just allow the content to speak for itself.)

Over the years the Palins have caused MANY people to lose their jobs for daring to call them out on their crap, or revealing things that they do not want revealed.

Why do you think Joe McGinniss had to use so many anonymous sources?

However just so you know this last escapade has angered a number of people who have up til now kept their mouths firmly shut, so stay tuned for more Palin dirt to come.

P.S. Oh and that dirt is about far more than this little fracas. And you can take THAT to the bank.

Update: It looks as if even if nobody files charges against them that the Palins may still face possible legal repercussions. This from the New York Times:

The police chief, Mark T. Mew, said Friday that even if the victims did not decide to press charges, the municipal prosecutor could still file charges if the facts warranted it.

Well from what I hear they are more than warranted.

By the way I have just learned that Track actually got into another at a local bar, and apparently got his second beating of the night.

Kind of makes you wonder just what kind of military training this kid received?  Not hand to hand combat, that's for damn sure.

Update 2:  The APD spokesperson just answered my e-mail asking when their report might be released:

Hi there,

Nothing can be released until our municipal prosecutors office has conducted a review and the case is closed. Will likely be at least another week.

Seriously, a week?

Though come to think of it, that might be just about the time that this story has run its course and starts to slip from the headlines.

And the fact that municipal prosecutors are on the case is certainly encouraging.

Update 3: Just saw interview with Amanda Coyne on CNN.

She managed to get quite a bit of information out about Bristol's slugfest.

Damn I am loving this week!

Oh, and since municipal contracts were involved, that means federal money was probably also involved. That means, who knows now where this road (pun intended) could take the Palins and their 'friends'?! And particularly if the Palins are leaning on the Parnell people to cooperate with them at this time. Our Wasilla self-proclaimed Nixon expert apparently did not learn that the cover-up can subject you to far more serious charges than the original crime.

At first when this story started to break and then it started to gain such unbelievable momentum in the media, I thought it was just lucky serendipity on the followers of the Queen of Grift. But the more I've thought about it, the more I think it's absolutely deserved. Think about it - FIVE adults in one of the most obnoxiously toxic and famous family in the country - the faux Christian hypocrites who bash everybody then hold up one of their youngest members - grandchild, child, whatever shield works - to deflect from their nastiness, and a former VP candidate to boot. The Kardashians would have been treated exactly the same way. Live by the Reality Show sword, die by the Reality Show sword.

"The party was at Korey Klingenmeyer’s house,
who is the office manger at McKenna Bros."

So it could be very well the case that the firing of Eric Thompson is a "warning shot" for Korey Klingenmeyer, who was punched repeatedly by Bristol, so that he is not going to file charges against her. It appears to me that they try to shut him up.

The company McKenna Brothers Paving have also started to delete all the critical comments about the firing from their facebook page. Clearly they do not want to be "disturbed" in whatever they are doing.

It must be investigated. I don't trust Alaska, I want the municipal prosecutors to be alright, but what are the chances they are better than the police?

    2. Well, no wonder Korey Klingenmeyer stood there and took Bristol Palin's "6", or "9" punches. Did he already know that he had to take whatever any of the Palin's dished out? He can't even protect his own face? Or the guests he invited to his own home? Eric Thompson doesn't have the right to speak up and simply tell the truth about what he - and 50 or more other people - saw?

It looks like Klingenmeyer is in the Palin pocket.

Hi There, Sarah and the rest of the Palin Fight Club: You can try to shut up some people in Alaska, but there are 49 states where you don't have that kind of clout. We had Sarah's number the moment she gave that mean girl speech at the Republican 2008 convention. Oooh, a community organizer, how terrible. Sorry, Sarah, but because of that community organizer experience Obama put together a better ground game and a better campaign that beat the pants off of you and McCain. You didn't lose by a few votes. You lost big time.

You can try to shut up the people who are frightened of you in Alaska, but those of use in the lower 48 know exactly what you are. It's the reason that you will never run for president. It's the reason that you quit your job as governor. It's the reason that SNL found it so easy to make fun of you. We are all laughing at you, Sarah, because you are stupid and you haven't bothered to learn anything. You may have gotten by with your push up bra, a wink and a you betcha in Alaska, but we expect more down here. We expect people who run for high office to be smarter than a 5th grader. Oh, we were fooled by GWB and his strong man shadow president, Cheney, but you can't get fooled again.

We know that you read the on-line blogs. You are filled with that high school mentality of "what did they say about me?" The story is true, and your family acted like drunken slobs. You can try to stop people from giving interviews and filing complaints with the police. But, one day, someone is going to want all of the money that National Enquirer or any one else offers in return for spilling the goods on you. We know that you did not give birth to Trig, and it's awful that you don't provide him with much therapy. Sorry that his birth mother is not equipped to care for him, too. But, some day, you will push the wrong person too far, and they will decide to cash in (just like you did when you quit your job as governor). The money for a tell-all will provide the ability to retire and buy the retirement home far from Alaska. Some day, Sarah, some day. Keep looking over your shoulder because you never know who it might be. Someone you pissed off when they worked for you. Someone you angered along the way. Some day.

Too many witnesses have already told their stories to the Anchorage Police Department!

Reporters can now investigate Sarah and Todd's description of Trig's birth and see how they endangered the life of their unborn son. It's recorded and written.

All they need to do is real the Palin's version on how they behaved hours before his birth and they would have these people categorized as abusive, psychopathic, crazy parents.

  13. To me, firing Eric Thompson is a big misstep. It's going to anger people, and not just Thompson. It's too much of a "come and get me if you think you can" statement. And somebody can.

And, I hope, someone will be outraged enough to do so. To expose how the Palins intimidate and ruin careers, to expose how they bully for sport, to expose their violence, to expose their hypocrisy.

One thing I am sure about is Palin is hiring lawyers and buying off witnesses using PAC funds. It's the easiest thing in the world for her. She just will add their names to the long list of "consultants."

I don't think it was only alcohol and I think it must been learned what potential dangers Tripp was in.

One story had him with a stranger after his mother abandoned him being driven around in the Hummer.

It seems they were partying for quiet some time. the drugs need to be established. They could have dropped any number of things in the Hummer and Tripp could have put it in his mouth and swallowed who knows what?

Or was Tripp battered and bruised and no one noticed. The police should have had him checked out.

When could Levi see if his son had bruises or not? He was also psychologically traumatized the next day at his home when his mother had to call the police.

The McKenna's (and the Palin's) will not be able to sweep this under the rug. Even if Alaska employers don't need a reason to terminate an employee, and employee can still charge a civil suit for wrongful discharge, of which this is clearly. Our witness was not "on the job" during the incident or during the interview. He was not a paid spokesperson for his employer, representing them, or speaking about the business in anyway. And the McKennna's would have a heck of a time trying to prove that the firing had anything to do with Thompson's job performance.

Then there's that whole public ire thing. The McKenna's profit margin just took a nose dive.

Freedom of speech - he was fired answering questions about the private party that turned into a brawl! We are ALL thankful he disclosed the information which has circulated the country.

Did Todd Palin (the bully that is known not to be able to fight well!) promote the firing? Suspect so!

Some folks refer to Todd and Sarah as the Wasilla Mafia. They have supposedly killed others through house fires, putting water in gasoline for an airplane, etc. They need to be brought down!

These Palins need to be given their just dessert! I have so many things in mind that could be done to each and every one of them - Todd, Sarah, Bristol, Track and Willow.

Can you imagine even being a part of that horrible family that are the furthest from being Christians! What liars and frauds!

Look at what Sarah and Todd are responsible for in bringing their kids out in the public all those years ago. They have lied about them - their abilities - blown them up to be people they aren't and on and on. They - themselves - have ruined their offspring! What a pathetic family! Who would even want to be tiny part of them! Assuredly not me!

Later in the afternoon I had a source telling me the same story, and by the middle of Tuesday I had heard from about four or five that had some knowledge though were not at the party themselves.

I robo-posted it Tuesday night, leaving out some details I could not confirm, to be published Wednesday morning, and woke up to find that Amanda had beat me by about twelve hours.

Now that the firing of this guy has been brought to the international attention of the world's major news media--it's time to start providing them with a little more help in their research. Can everyone--all you Alaska folk--start chiming in and telling the names of those you know who personally got persecuted (fired, threatened, beat up, bullied, etc.) in the last 10 years? I bet that list is long. And I bet that some are willing to talk about it now. If reports can get 5 people to talk it shows it's not a one off, but a chronic abuse of power...Gryphen, why don't you set up a post inviting this feedback? Help the reporters out. It will give them a larger--and longer lasting angle to this story. They all know it will draw clicks/rating/purchases, so they will want to drag it out as much as possible. And since Palin has completey destroyed her own reputation by being on reality shows, by calling for the take down of so many people she doens't like, the media know longer owe her the respect of being a former vp candidate.

Everything about Palin is faked.. I seriously believe she ran and won the Governors job to parlay it into reality show business for her and her family. She hated being Gov. but loved the spotlight. She then scammed powerful Republicans and got on the 2008 Republican ticket with the other mistake, John McCain. In between she had a well choreographed plan to win over the evangelical vote by way of the faked birth and Bristol's planned pregnancy. What derailed things were the ethics charges and the Troopergate fiasco that today looks like childs play against a family brawl and exerting power to get a man fired.

"The city of Wasilla has made available all of its budgets during Palin's tenure. So we grabbed the fiscal year ending 1996 (when Palin took the reins), which showed the city's long-term debt at $1.12-million, mostly for PAVING and sewer projects."

Gryphen, I'm so happy for you. I always hoped your ultimate success would be earned by your dogged pursuit of this charlatan crew!

I'm sure you are experiencing the same thing I am......I have not been able to go anywhere in anch for the last two days without hearing everyone talk about this! And now an employee at mug's saloon is saying Sarah sent a minion to buy a cell phone last year when track was in a fight there too.......I think a lot of Palin dirt is about to hit this quickly spinning fan!!

Someone should find whoever was driving the Hummer limousine. It must have been hired, right? That must have been a doozie ride home.

Ok, so I'm watching the local news and this story comes up:

    http://6abc.com/news/sarah-palins-kids-accused-of-brawling-at-party/305656/

Then, I'm on my way to work and kept channel surfing because every channel was yakking about it, and this troll calls in to defend the Palins from false accusations, slander, character assassination, and so on and so on. The radio host starts laughing hysterically, saying he scoured the AP news feed and read "a few" Alaska Blogs, noting that it's the number three story of the day, behind rice and Oscar Pastorious.
She had that strange cadence in her voice that Meg Stapletongue has, because she did a 180 and spoke in complete sentences, still in denial and accusing "liberal bias". The host said "Google " this title and THEN we'll talk, then took another call.

"Anchorage Police Department provides an update and case number for the throw down at the hoedown."

Have you any idea how often our local news mentions her? The last time was the vacation and historical fable of Paul Revere's ride.

As for this Thompson guy, I'm with the others, Glad he got legal advice and hope he gets his job back and then some. Amazing how the screech screeches about "Free Speech", only when it applies to herself and shiny things that interest her.
I took Mr McGuinness at his word, he'd never print anything without doing his due diligence, and knew what he was up against way before he wrote the book.

Post the following on every site that has the story.
Would someone in the press investigate whether the McKenna boys have received any government contracts for projects under Palin's term as mayor or governor? It might explain why they fired the guy telling the truth!

Maybe the McKenna men have enjoyed the company of oh, how shall we describe Todd's little sideline business and I don't mean the Rainbow Resort Fishing Lodge). If the Palins hold that information about the McKennas, then they might have to fire someone if Todd says, "Fire him." The "or else" is implied.

    2. If they were beneficiaries of Palin favoritism and they help to suppress anything about this incident, do you suppose that we shall see a Virginia-style trial in Alaska?
What sort of dots are about to connect here?

I don't see how past contracts would mean anything. We know the Palins and McKennas have a history.

On the other hand, there might be some consequences if McKenna was threatened with the loss of ongoing work or future contracts for any AK government entities.

I believe all the Law Enforcement, including the APD, in AK supports you. They are as fed up with the Palin mob as we are and eager to aim the spotlight square on the Palins.

They, too, believe in doing the right thing.

This story will not fade. Not this time.

Having that gentleman fired is one of the worst actions the Palins could have taken.

They exposed themselves to the world.

I love this response to that spitting deranged deedeethree person:

Please provide links to your statements re: Jessie Griffen being convicted of child pornography. To make unsubstantiated comments, such as you have made against this individual, is libelous unless you have the proof to back it up. He was not fired, but resigned after making allegations that the Palins were getting a divorce and there was backlash..

He was also not the person that started writing about this story.

You are not doing the Palin family any good by posting untruths.

Again, if he had been convicted it would be acceptable for you to have posted this numerous times, but he was never convicted or charged with anything of this nature.

Bristol Palin threw at least 6 or more punches at the host of the party and he took them without fighting back. Smart move on his part because had he hit her, he would be in jail. I don't know the guy but I'd bet money that he took the punches from a woman not because he was afraid of her, not because he couldn't have knocked the silly fool out with one punch but simply because he's obviously smarter than Bristol. She's not a tough girl. She's not a fighter. She just took advantage of a man who had the decency to not hit a woman. All he finally did was push her back and she fell on drunken ass. All while Mama Grizzly screamed at her to hit him again or so one of the eye witnesses said.

25 yo Hard-Bodied Warrior Track with his military training, started a fight with a 21 yo and somewhere between the start of that fight and the end of it, Track didn't fare so well. Track is no tough guy, he's a drunken fool with a history of getting drugged and drunk and sneaking around in the dark to flatten the tires and cut the fuel lines of 50-plus school buses all because HE didn't want to go to school the next day.

Tough guy Todd Palin started choking Steve Cleary, Conner's father who was trying break up the fight between his son and Track. It didn't end well for Todd. Todd's a bully. We've seen him shoulder bump a middle aged woman teacher who had the audacity to put up a sign saying "worst governor ever". We've seen him try to intimidte a much older man who was just trying to take a photo of Sarah in a public airport when Sarah was clamoring for the public to take pictures of her. The man's a bully.

This isn't going to end well for Sarah and her whole clan of bullies who were all reported to be drunk. We've seen so many of Sarah's messes swept under the rug but that's not going to happen this time. Makes no difference whether any charges are filed against the Palins. She's done. She's history. The entire world is laughing and make no mistake about it, in the Comments section of each and every site that I've visited, there may be one or two people standing up for Sarah but that's it. That's out of hundreds of people who are ridiculing her and her family, angry at her and her family, angry at John McCain for unleashing her on the country. Sarah's done. She should have been "done" when the Tucson massacre happened. It's time folks.

If I hear her bashing our gracious and dignified President anymore ... oh hell, if I hear Sarah Palin anywhere commenting on anything, I'll make a point to email the sponsors of the shows. It's time to get that trash off the airwaves. She's a disgrace as are her family. Except for the small children - Tripp, Tri-G and Piper.
