Alaska Senate candidate Dan Sullivan REALLY does not want to answer questions about receiving money from the Koch brothers.

So after a fish policy debate in Kodiak. KTUU reporter Grace Jang managed to corral Sullivan and ask him how much backing he was getting from the Koch brothers.

Take a look at his response.

“Look, um, we’re getting broad based support from Alaskans first and foremost. That’s where I’m focused on in this race. And getting out the message with regard to what we’re doing in this race.”

Well there's an answer that holds to the proud Sarah Palin tradition of word salad that we have all come to know and loathe.

Did anybody else notice that Sullivan got a little green around the gills after Jang asked her question? And I swear that pause was pregnant longer than Palin was before the "delivery" of her last child.

Speaking of pregnant pauses check this response after a reporter with the New Republic asked Sullivan about a Palin endorsement:

When I asked if he wanted the endorsement of Sarah Palin, who appointed him to be the state’s attorney general in 2009, he waited a few awkward beats before saying: “I want the endorsement of everybody. Anybody who believes in less government, more freedom, and pushing back on the Obama administration’s overreach into our lives.”

Do you hear that Sarah?

Sullivan wants the endorsement of everybody, possibly even including you.

How about it? Unless of course you are no longer interested in supporting candidates and causes in our great state that is.

Come on, I double dog dare you.

(H/T to Alaska Commons.)

Seriously, the Anchorage Police Department haven't released their report of the #Palinbrawl yet? Not blaming you, Gryphen, but ugh! WTF?

I've been asking about this today, too, and went back to re-read the email Gryphen received last week. Taking it literally, there's no promise or expressed expectation that a statement or report would be released today.

      Key words and phrases:
      "EXPECT"
"REVIEW completed by the end of next week"

      Disappointing.

      Hi Jesse,

The municipal prosecutor’s office informed me on Monday they expect to have their review completed by the end of next week. No new information has been released at this time.

      Thank you,

This guy is a liar and a deadbeat! Plus, being terribly slow on his feet to answer questions!

An endorsement from Sarah Palin will really be the kiss of death for him (which I suspect he knows!). Come on Palin - give him one of your big endorsements and appear w/him in Alaska!

Vote for Senator Mark Begich - the true Alaskan that has a proven history of working for Alaskan for years.

Why don't liberals care about shadiness in their own party? about lib states where you don't need ID to vote? About huge lies in transparency in this admin?

I've been voting since 1958. All I have ever needed was my drivers license. When we moved we had to show a utility bill from our new residence also since we were on the books. We have lived in very Red Counties. Was an election officer for 35 years. I turned in a neighbor who tried to come back after they moved to vote in our precinct. They "forgot" to register in their new place. Sorry Charlie. They never came back. Today I vote by mail-in as I'm crippled and can't stand in long lines with my walker. I had to send a photocopy of my drivers license and utility bill to do it. My husband got a free ID at the Drivers License Bureau and he voted before he became to ill to do it. We have always had to have ID to vote. You just can't walk-in and fill out a ballot. We had blind people vote with assistance by filling out a paper and signing that the person who assists them will do only as instructed. As a judge I assisted a blind lady for years to vote. I had Gary Hart vote in my precinct and he had to show his ID. One person - one vote. It is the law and you always have to show ID. Every state, regardless of their affiliation leaning has voter ID. And yes, it's hard for people who are old and don't drive to get to a drivers license/official ID place to get one. If you are so worried about the poor voting, I feel sorry for you. I have taken old, poor R and D's to get an ID. If they didn't have the money, I would pay for them, regardless of their affiliation. Voter fraud is a joke. People playing with voting computers is reality. Does George Bush/Karl Rove light up any lights for you?

If you know of any that do, please give the names right here. Alleging that your fantasy exists doesn't make it so.

I live in California and I've NEVER had to show an ID to vote. Ever. They SAY you have to have one, and I've always come prepared, but no one has ever asked me for it. I have to find myself on the list and point to my address, but no ID required and I've voted for 45 years.

    8. Voter suppression people like 4:44 don't want to require ID to vote. They want to require ID that people do not have or that is difficult to get.

They do not want to protect the system from voter fraud.

They want to keep people who likely will not vote for them from voting. Period.

O/T Here in Michigan we have 2 big candidates funded by the Koch brothers-Rick" I am a wedding dress, girls" Synder and Terri " I am a women and women don't want equal pay" Land.

There opponents have been running a lot of ads pointing out what the Koch brothers have done-dumping tar sands by products on the Detroit River, buying a paper mill, shutting it down, everyone lost their jobs etc.

All of sudden there have been ads for Koch Industries-with the happy farmer, baby in diapers (paper industry) etc. A truly " all American, we are wonderful, come work for us" type of ad (think ronnie regan ).

It looks like the Koch brothers are trying to do damage control and was wondering if anyone in other parts of the country are seeing the same ad?

And gee, where is our former 1/2 term Gov and US VP candidate? Why aren't we seeing TV ads, hearing radio spots, reading support pieces from her about her former AG and Lt. Gov?

What, don't they want her endorsement?

I can hardly wait to see the 'broad based support' he thinks he'll be getting from Alaskans! He'll have to disclose the information to all of us. I know my friends in Alaska do not support him!

So far, his donors are his Mommy and Daddy (very rich folks that appear to have a very spoiled son!), the Koch brothers and funds that he raised back east (or in Ohio). Plus, I would suspect the national Republican party will throw in funds as well as the Republican party in Alaska.

On another thread today, can't find it now, someone mentioned Sarah's Facebook and all the "fake likes" she receives. Well, now, you can kiss them good bye Sarah !

***Facebook said Friday it has stepped up its battle against spammers who promise to deliver "likes" to its members, and warned users on using such scams.

The world's most popular social network said that to date, it has obtained legal judgments of nearly $2 billion against fraudulent activities on Facebook. It was not clear how much of that was actually collected.

Facebook's moves appeared to counter concerns that users -- including politicians and companies selling products -- are buying "likes" to make them appear more popular. And it is targeting a cottage industry which seeks to deliver these results to Facebook members, often promising "10,000 likes" or more for a fee.***

Little Georgie Bush was born in New England, wasn't he? His daddy bought him spots in Yale and Harvard, yet he never learned how to speak correctly. His "cowboy" act was just that - an act. He had no class or even an educated manner of speaking. Now he is telling the world that his brother Jeb wants to be president. The "smart one" in the Bush family of crooks. IF he is smart, then he is the ONLY one in that vile family. The entire Bush family has ripped off taxpayers for years, every last one of them. W was an embarassment to this country, and should be in prison for war crimes, instead of painting assinine portraits of himself trying to wash the blood off.

Sullivan published a commentary on the Opinion page of the Alaska Dispatch News today entitled "We must return to engaged leadership"! All he does is talk about President Obama, the Obama Administration and some negative toward Senator Mark Begich (because he sees him as 'working with President Obama'!)

It's so obvious he knows little about the issues of Alaska, which should have been his focus!

It's quite apparent in reading his thoughts that IF he were ever elected (which I don't think he will be) he'd act no differently than the rest of the Republicans currently serving in the U.S. Congress. It's obvious from the article he'd do nothing more than obstruct which we know to be the method of operation by Republicans since 2008!

He'd get (not 'earn') a salary and benefits provided by the taxpayers for doing nothing.

Senator Mark Begich will have my vote! Dan Sullivan is the LAST person we need representing Alaskans in Washington D.C. He is all about Dan Sullivan w/zero regard for Alaskans!.
