Pennsylvania Governor touts success of his administration's job website which features openings for exotic dancers, prostitutes, and porn actresses.

Jobs so great that you can reach out and touch them.
Courtesy of Philly.com:

This is probably the last thing a governor dealing with a porn scandal needs right now.

Gov. Corbett, during his second debate with Democrat Tom Wolf today, repeatedly mentioned the state’s job hunting web site and said there are 250,000 jobs available.

That site – JobGateway.pa.gov – pulls from other job boards, including Craigslist.com.

Here are a few of the Craigslist options that come up on the government web site.
  • “Casting Couch – Looking for M.I.L.F.S….hot mom & daughter combos!!! Young busty females between 18-45. Please attach pic. Thank you ladies!!!”
  • “VIP Hostess – I have two visiting VIP gentlemen coming to town. Need a couple of female hostesses to join them for cocktailing, dinner and clubbing. Send me a couple of pictures of yourself – under 30 please, if you are highly attractive and in need of $$...”
  • “Bachelor Party – Looking for one or two dancers for a bachelor party in June. Please send photos and other info/rates.”
  • “Dancing – We are planning a private party for 15 to 20 guys, looking for 2 girls to dance for us. Cash plus tips.”
  • There were also four listings for “Car dates,” a euphemism for prostitution.
Well I for one am happy to see a Republican who supports women in the workplace and is not always pushing for them to leave their jobs and return to being housewives.

In other news the latest national Jobs report has been released and it is much better than anticipated.

No word on how many of those jobs involve casting couches, stripper poles, or "car dates" however.

Can you imagine what wonderful shape this nation would be in economically if Grover Norquist did not exist? Look at what Dems and Obama have managed to accomplish without a lick of help from any Republican. Look at the progress we have made in the face of their obstinate bullying and lies. Wanna bet they take credit for all of it for the next 30 days to keep their sorry butts in their pretend jobs? Meanwhile, look at where we could be if they would pass ONE of the infrastructure bills instead of trying to manufacture yet another fake horror scandal to generate fear and votes. GOP, you are pitiful. I hope we kick you all out in November.

I also wonder how a Republican can take an oath to support and uphold the US Constitution when they've also taken oaths to Grover Norquist, ALEC and the Koch Brothers. I've no doubt that the oath to uphold the Constitution is the least important to them.

I am getting a little worried that the Democrats will sit home this November.
Hope they all remember what chaos the Rethugs and Teabaggers have caused this country.

O/T -- SarahPalinChannel's Quote for the Day is "Better to light a candle than curse the darkness," which she attributes to "anonymous."
But, the motto of both the Christophers' television show and The Christophers -- "It's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness" -- comes from an ancient Chinese proverb, says wikipedia.
It also notes that it was a favorite saying of President John F. Kennedy,
    No "anonymous" here, Sarah.
The phrase fits into your religious victimhood, as though you were a righteous minority. But the meaning used by the Christphers was much broader than that.

I looked at The Christophers website. They were founded in 1945 by a Marynoll priest. It states in their 'about us' page that their motto "It is better to light a candle, etc" is an ancient Chinese proverb. Also, after googling around, most sources say that the first time it was recorded to have been spoken in public was by Peter Benenson, the founder of Amnesty international, at a Human Rights Day ceromony in December 1961. And of course AI's symbol is a single candle surrounded by barbed wire. Far be it from Sarah to give credit to anyone.

  5. Note also too, exports are up, in goods both capital and consumer--an administration priority from the get-go. This, despite a stronger dollar. And? We're ready to face down China.

  6. "In November 2013, Public Policy Polling announced that Corbett was the most unpopular Governor in the country, with 65% of registered voters and 51% of registered Republicans disapproving of his job performance."

There's his handling of the Penn State/Jerry Sandusky scandal both as Attorney General and Governor. His defunding of public schools. His giveaways to the natural gas industry. There's so much more. He's almost as bad as Sarah Palin although I don't think he's trash and doesn't live in a trailer with his extended trash family like the former governor of AK.

    There's also this:

P.S. "A federal judge struck down Pennsylvania's ban on same-sex marriage on May 20, 2014."
