Al Franken endorses Hillary Clinton in 2016, though at first he did not realize he was doing that.

(Franken's somewhat clumsy endorsement comes at the 7:25 mark, but really the whole interview is worth a listen.)

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) endorsed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for president in 2016, even if he didn't realize it at first.

"I think that Hillary would make a great president. I haven't announced that I am supporting her, but -- does this count? I guess? Maybe this counts," Franken said in an interview with MSNBC on Tuesday.

When asked if he felt he needed to see other potential candidates before endorsing Clinton, who has yet to declare she's running, Franken said he's ready for her to make a move.

"I think that I’m ready for Hillary," Franken said. "I think that we've not had someone this experienced, this tough, and she's very, very impressive."

I think that right now Franken is my favorite member of the Senate.

Mostly because I think we are on the same wavelength most of the time.

Though arguably he is a tad wittier.

Franken is my favorite Senator, too, especially since I'm from Minnesota. Along with Amy Klobuchar, Minnesotans are represented by two of the best Senators in the country.

    3. 6:53, I join Gryphen's jealousy. I live in Texas. That's really all I need to say about that.

I too had the pleasure of voting for Al and Amy! So proud of our Minnesota senators -- as well as those who had the honor of voting for them!

Not Lisa. It's someone closer; someone you'd never ever think would say a word! "Oh! What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive."

Why do you want to know, $arah?

      So you can blackmail her?

      Who is Lisa?

    4. Riiiight. Because if you ask the right name, Gryphen, with his near decade of protecting sources in an ironclad, unflinching loyalty, is just going to say YEP, YOU GUESSED RIGHT!

Maybe Sarah really DOES post here. I mean, I know for a fact she reads here. But only she could be that dumb, to think she can not only get Gryphen to break his ethical code (Sarah, you might have to look up eth-uh-kull) but to do so right here in blog comments.

It reminds me of a case here in south Texas where a guy was arrested for groping women on a jogging trail. He had done it so many times, he had no idea which one went to the police. So he asked the investigating detective for the woman's name so he could "apologize".

I'm sure Gryphen's reaction here is similar to that good ole boy detective. ("Who-ee, you must think I'm as dumb a sum-bitch as you are, son!")

Lisa Ann? While she was extraordinary in Nailin' Palin and Nailin' Palin II, I don't think she really knows them.

I watched Franken on Saturday Night Live and about, oh, ten, fifteen years ago or so, I read:
Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot and Other Observations
Through the next decade or so I also read Franken's books:
Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right
    and
    The Truth (With Jokes)

I also caught a couple of 'debates' between Franken and Bill O'Reilly - which Franken, IMHO, won hands down.
(O'Reilly's famous comback to a Franken witticism: "Shut up! SHUT UP!")

Franken is one of the few in national government that I usually agree with. Another is Liz Warren. Another is Bernie Sanders.

    I've gotten off-topic - what was I talking about?

OH yeah: I don't always just immediately agree with what Franken says on any topic. But I DO stop and think about what he says. Al Franken's opinion on most topics is definitely worth consideration.

Unlike, for example, say... Sarah Who?

I've always liked Al Franken as a comedian, but I like him even more as a politician. He looks straight into the camera and speaks as if you're in the same room with him, you know, like he's telling the truth (rare in a politician).

I was never crazy about him as a comedian. However, I think he is one of the most brilliant minds in Congress today, and I think he will do some great things for our country during his time in Washington.

When he was elected, I think the Republicans expected him to be a clown, acting like a fool and embarrassing the Senate. Boy, were they wrong!

  5. While endorsing Hillary Clinton for president, Sen. Franken says, I think that we have not had someone this experience, this tough, and she is very, very impressive.

Earlier a great number of distinguished persons have endorsed her for U.S president and have praised her with highly singular titles such as Effective President-Rock Star-Extremely Smart-Spectacular and Transformative- Unrivaled and unparallel- Unbelievably accomplished-Tremendous.

These distinguished people are: President Barrack Obama, Rev Jesse Jackson, Sen.Debbie Stabnow, Sen.John MaCain, Sen.Bernie Sander, Sen.Dianne Feinstein, Sen.Chunk Sihuner, Sen Franken, David Bossie, David Petraeus, Babara Bush, Warren Buffett, Condoleeza Rice, Ehud Barak and many more.

Further, her own gender loves her passionately; middle class follows her to see a better change in their economic conditions, politically conscious people applaud her on taking notice of the current direction the country is going and her determination to bring about a change.
