So I think I first noticed this in an article at The Nation entitled "Carly Fiorina is running to be 2016's Sarah Palin."
Here is an excerpt:
For a movement that so often disdains identity politics, conservatives sure love to deploy them. In 2008, Sarah Palin’s vice presidential nomination was a risible, tone-deaf attempt to capture women voters disappointed by Hillary Clinton’s primary loss. After Barack Obama became president, the GOP attempted to shed its overwhelmingly white image by putting the clownish Michael Brown (Editor's note: Should be Michael Steele.) in charge of the party. And now, Carly Fiorina is counting on conservatives’ desire to counter excitement over Clinton’s renewed ascendency with a lady candidate of their own.
Then something similar popped up over The New Republic in an article entitled "Sarah Palin 2.0."
Here is a portion of what they had to say:
Though she’s committed fewer blunders than Palin, Fiorina does have some obvious similarities to the former vice-presidential candidate. Both favor words like “outsider” and “tough,” and allow themselves to be cast as a woman who does it all: They’re breadwinner moms with business savvy and enough charisma to make their raw ambition palatable. Similarly, both women’s careers have been marred by major professional failures: Fiorina’s firing from Hewlett-Packard and Palin’s "bridge to nowhere" (which, ironically, Fiorina initially defended).
Even the Weekly Standard chimed in with a piece called "What Do Sarah Palin and Carly Fiorina Have In Common?"
Here is what they had to say:
Whatever one makes of either one of them, the similarities between Sarah Palin and Carly Fiorina (who’s just announced she’s running for president) stop more or less at the chromosomal level. Fiorina is an accomplished (if controversial) businesswoman; Palin, a half-term governor and television star. Fiorina is a graduate of Stanford (with a degree in philosophy and medieval history) and MIT (with a master’s in management); Palin received a degree in, alas, journalism. Fiorina is an unusually articulate for a candidate for public office; Palin is . . . well, Sarah Palin.
That is especially damning as the Weekly Standard is the brainchild of Bill Kristol who is often blamed for discovering Palin and bringing her to national attention.
The finally there is this from The Hill:
There is a difference between Fiorina and Palin. I will confess to having a soft spot for Palin as a person. I suspect if I knew her, I would like her, which I mean as a compliment even though she is not appropriately credentialed to be president or vice president. Fiorina, by contrast, was cruel and heartless to her workers when she was CEO of Hewlett-Packard.
Let me first assure this reporter that if he knew Sarah Palin it is seriously doubtful he would like her.
However he is spot on with his characterization of Fiorina.
As we all know anytime a politician is compared to Sarah Palin that is not a good thing for them.
However it might simply be that people are doing it so often in Fiorina's case because she is a conservative with a vajayjay. Which would be unfair.
However Fiorina is a conservative with a vajayjay who also almost destroyed the reputation of Hewlett Packard while she was there, treated her subordinates like garbage, and is known to be driven to pursue power at all costs.
Oh and here's her current scorecard over at Politifact:
Yeah, the comparison is appropriate.
I love that picture of Sarah, taken from her cornfield presidential announcement in 2011. Her breast padding looked so rill, unlike her campaign.
ReplyDeleteIt was only 4 years ago, but she looks 15 years younger than she does now. Her inner ugliness is eating her alive.
DeleteI wonder if she is worried about some secret being exposed? That has a way of wearing on a person.
DeleteI don't see any point in trying to compare Carly and Sarah. Carly has no experience in government and she is not attractive. Sarah had limited experience serving in government and gets by on her looks. While Carly did run Hewlett-Packard, she was asked to resign. Sarah had limited experience in government. Being mayor of a town of around 6,000 is not real experience. My kid's high school is that big, counting teachers, staff and students, so Sarah's experience as Mayor of Wasilla is on a par with that of a high school principal. Sarah did hold an important job, Governor of Alaska, but she quit. Sarah's record as Mayor was to leave Wasilla $20 million in debt. God knows what Carly did to HP. She fired over 30,000 people. Worst qualification for Carly: She served as an adviser to the McCain 2008 campaign, and McCain lost, so her advice wasn't all that good. In the end, I think that Carly is much smarter than Sarah, but not very likeable. Those who meet Sarah claim that she is personable, but she needs more qualifications than a wink. Come to think of it, I don't like either of those two gals very much. At least Carly announced that she is going to run. She has no chance, but she did announce. All that Sarah did in 2012 was tease. Sarah won't run in 2016 either, but she will continue to tease to get donations to her personal slush fund, her PAC.
ReplyDeleteThe teacher Sarah bullied wouldn't characterize her as personable. Nor would anyone at the brawl--face it, unless Skanky Pay-me wants something from someone, she's rude.
DeleteTrue dat 4:15 pm
DeleteIn her extreme ignorance, Carly Fiorina shut down the scientific research branch of Hewlett Packard, something from which the company has never recovered. What does a technological company do without scientific research for future projects, anyway? Fiorina justified her actions, saying "I didn't understand it." She then fired about 18,000 employees, most of them highly skilled, asked many other employees to take substantial pay cuts, and sent still other jobs overseas to be performed by lower-skilled workers. She then spent about $24 billion on a secretive and worthless merger with Compaq Computers; at the time, corporate media described this decision as 'disastrous' and a 'total flop' . Under her tutelage, the stock lost 50 percent of its value, and the once-great company never fully recovered. She said her greatest regret was in not firing more people more quickly. Fiorina was eventually fired by HPQ's Board of Directors, a rare occurrence indeed in today's corporate America. Unlike the gifted Marissa Mayer of Yahoo, Fiorina's background was in sales and marketing, and not in technological knowledge (which she seemed never to grasp). Oops!
DeleteAs a one-woman wrecking ball, Florina surely is comparable to Palin. Both are described as relying on their charm, rather than heavy-duty knowledge or substance to address the jobs for which they were chosen. Both are plastic surgery repeat do-overs, both take advantage of private jets whenever possible, both are narcissists who preen as high-paid welfare queens and take their perks from others whenever possible, neither has learned from their mistakes, and neither will ever be taken seriously as a contender for high office. To this day, Fiorina believes she made no serious mistakes while at Hewlett Packard.

Carly Fiorina is more like Mitt Romney when it comes to treatment of employees. I can just imagine her callously saying "Let them eat cake" or "Off with their heads!".
DeleteFiorina has a California problem.
ReplyDeleteAs in we all know what she did and remember it very well.
Probably why she is running for President. She got her ass thoroughly whooped the last time she tried to run for office in just California.
We don't like her.
We won't vote for her.
Everyone else should take note.
how is it these boneheads think we should have convenient memory loss just becuz they say so?? guess our resident may 5 troll wasn't interested in this article. I don't see her dancing all over the comments. she must have run to the food bank. trolling doesn't pay well. Sarah is cheap, cheap, cheap.
Deletehey Sarah...baby princess charlotte just revealed Her birth certificate. where's Trigs birth certificate!!??
DeleteRNC chair was Micheal Steele (clown), murdered black guy in Ferguson was Mike Brown.
ReplyDeleteThere are no similar comparisons between Carly and Sarah! None, none, none! And, I don't care for either one of them.
ReplyDeleteSarah and her padded boobs AGAIN in the above photo! She is really, really, really flat as a pancake and hangs horribly!
ReplyDelete... "hangs horribly."
Deleteyep, that's what old worn out windsocks do ...
tits like a toddler's socks half full of sand.
DeleteThere is a difference between Sarah Palin and Carly Fiorina.. One faked a pregnancy and the other is thinking about it
ReplyDeleteAh yes, dear old Chainsaw Carly. If she should by some cosmic aberration become President, soup kitchens will become a growth industry.
ReplyDeleteCarly is a world-class mean-spirited bitch; just ask anyone at HP who got laid off about her. Ask their Board who paid over $21 million dollars to make her go away.
OT, but related: Another article targeting Huckabee as a Palinesque candidate on the extreme right.
ReplyDeletePretty big hit piece on $arah

Chlamydia is a terrible, family-destroying disease. Victims suffer miscarriages, and are unable to conceive later. Those who have never been pregnant never will be. So sad.
DeleteWell, $arah, to quote the COPS theme song, "what'cha going to do when they come for you?" Your followers are begging for you to run, and you've become the benchmark for horrible candidates.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me, after all the videos you've put on your SPC channel, you have all the answers. Methinks you either put up or shut up. What's it going to be?? Prove them all wrong, $arah, show us what you've got.
With Fiorina running it slams the door in Sarah Palin's face and keeps Palin tied to the cheap seats she loves.
ReplyDeleteShe was put out to pasture as soon as they got rid of her in '08. As for I-Carly, flash in the pan.
DeleteSarah has been tied to the cheap seats since the 2008 election.
DeleteThere's nothing stopping Sarah Palin from running for any office in any election.
DeleteExcept she won't, omomma, she found her calling. Here's a Veggie Tale for you, $arah:

Carly Fiorina has a Sarah Palin problem. People cannot stop comparing them.
ReplyDelete-Immoral Minority
Carly Fiorina has a Sarah Palin problem. Gryphen I thought you were going to say people cannot stop laughing at their dumb asses.
Gryph, you made a mistake: after Obama's election republicans did not put Michael Brown in as head of the republican party. They put "the clownish Michael Steele " in as head of the republican party.
ReplyDeleteActually that was a mistake made at The Nation.
DeleteHowever I added something to correct it.
4:25 PM When The Republican Party DUMPED Michael Steele, he went running to the liberal MSNBC with his tail between his legs begging for a job.
DeleteBesides her hubris, she is running for president because:
ReplyDeleteA. She is promoting her book
B. She is a narcissist --and an evil bitch (confirmed by most people who worked for HP during her tenure.
And C. She is there to bash Hillary so the men in the clown car don't have to and thus "appear" sexist---which of course they are, as we know.
She is no dummy, like the grifter, it almost makes it even worse because she knows she will not get the nod and is doing it anyway. Refer to reason B. above.
Oh I bet that chaps Sarah's ass! Gee missed opportunities sweetie! We will hear her cry that should have been me! Snooze U Lose! Ha!
DeleteCarly's a flash in the pan. She rose in the ranks of HP and screwed it up beyond recognition, now she wants a chance at doing the same to our country? LOL Hurricane Liz Warren could sink her battleship in two seconds flat. Sarah "Hadassah" Heath Palin? LMAO, I bet Chelsea could make short order of exposing the idiot, let alone Hillary.
ReplyDeleteAnon 4:08 are you saying with Fiorina running, Sarah Palin is going to have her face slammed again like Obama slammed Sarah's face in 2008 and 2012?
ReplyDeleteHow much slamming can Sarah take.
You people get your minds out of the gutter. I'm not talking about how much slamming can Sarah take from Genn Rice, Brad Hansen, Curt Menard, etc.
And Joe Schmidt.
DeleteHaha hey that poor fuck is security at school now...scary thought...
DeleteGood comparison. Fiorina is Palin, but WITH a university degree. Slight, but not overwhelming, difference.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Sarah Palin's thumb so erect in the above picture? Is Sarah about to give herself an oil check?
ReplyDeleteOil Check: the act of sticking a finger up someone's butt hole, through clothes, usually during pictures or other public events.
Ex: During the wedding pictures yesterday Joe Pa got me with an oil check.
Dumbkota what do you think of Sarah Palin's breasts at the top of this post?
ReplyDeleteDo you or your Kentucky family think they're real?
Has your mother ever wondered and asked you why Sarah's breast sizes fluctuates?
If you are curious, ask Bristol what's going on.
Todd is having a good old time with his new son Dakota while Track looks like the third wheel. I hope Todd didn't tellTrack, "Sit in the back bitch".

Is the one commenting as sarah khunt money boo boo?
DeleteCarly Fiorina will be to Hillary as Sarah was to Obama. She is in this race simply to be the woman to tear into Hillary like Sarah did (still does) to Obama. She is JUST like Sarah Palin in that respect. It is not about her running for president, its about her saying the things the men also running will not be able to say to Hillary! Mark my words, she is the NEW Sarah Palin.
ReplyDeleteShe also ran HP into the ground and $arah's record speaks for itself.
DeleteAnd there is a tear in her beer...cuz she's crying she's not there...and your on her lonesome mind...
Deletecarly reared her ugly head and HP laughs. sorry girlfriend, you're barking up the wrong tree. go away. you have too much in common with R- money. you shipped our jobs and economy overseas to the highest bidder.
DeleteAs CEO of HP Carly Fiorina treated the people that worked for her as mere 'resources' rather than persons with families:
ReplyDeleteshe fired 30,000 of them and shipped their jobs overseas, famously saying, "There is no job that is America's God-given right anymore."
Shorter Carly Fiorina: "Fuck YOU, Americans - profit trumps loyalty and patriotism.
NOW Carly Fiorina says she should be president because she "understands how the economy works."
If that doesn't cause you concern for the future of our country, then your brain isn't working properly.
ON the Palin/Fiorina comparison:
Palin is an idiot - Fiorina is a predator.
Bring it. As long as they're in the news, all good!
DeleteI will say this. It took two terms of a twice elected BLACK President that showed just how shallow these people are. Boy, did they come out of the woodwork like cockroaches.
Somebody needs to tell Carly about the power of teh Belmonts on the minds of the minions.
ReplyDeleteButt pads too.
DeleteIdk the brand. Lol.
Depends
DeleteLast time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it.
ReplyDeleteJust practicing my typing.
she definitely has a face for radio.
I have said it before - Universities/Colleges that are proud of people who graduated from them are usually falling all over themselves to publish it. Look at us - famous person X graduated from here. Unless and until UI actually CONFIRMS that she received a DEGREE from them we can assume that scarah didn't. Fiorina may be an evil b*tch we wouldn't want for any government position but she did graduate from several schools of reputation. Also too, the evil b*tch does know how to speak and in english no less. She was on Real Time where she represented herself as what she is - she expressed her nasty ideas in full sentences with actual words.
ReplyDeleteMiss Priss NEVER graduated.
Deleteno record on file of degree earned by sarah heath at U of I. bear in mind this isn't something screech would have had sealed.

NO CARLY, JOHNNY BOY DIDN'T LOSE BECAUSE SARAH PALIN DIDN'T TAKE YOUR ADVICE
JOHN MCCAIN LOST WHITE HOUSE RACE BECAUSE OF SARAH PALIN PERIOD
Even Nicholle Wallace, while schlepping her new novel, was on msnbc and made the comparison. She said something to the effect, and I'm paraphrasing, "After living the Sarah Palin experience, Carley's got a lot of heavy lifting to do to just be a candidate and not a realty star" It was on John Robert's show.
