Nicely said.

I found this quote apropos in light of Eric Hovind's assertion that Evolutionists believe that man is nothing more than "bags of molecules."

It is not what gives us life that is so important, but rather what we do with the life that we have been given.

"It is not what gives us life that is so important, but rather what we do with the life that we have been given."

I have long thought that I would accept miracles if the people who denigrate and fear and hate atheists - or anyone else, for that matter - EVER accepted that!

My guide through life has long been living by 5 words: Love, Understanding, Compassion, Forgiveness and Tolerance. However, I can't count the number of times I have been informed "you can't get into heaven by deeds alone".

My answer is usually something like: "Gee. I would have thought living as your so-called savior taught would offer me a better chance. To me, your idea means that your so-called god is an egotistical and vain thing who really DOESN'T care about what the son taught. I guess he only requires worship." It almost invariably causes extreme anger.

A word of caution, however. Do not attempt that scenario if there are more than one or two "true believers" within earshot! Oh, and be prepared to run!

People like Eric Hovind live in a colorless world, black and white only and no shades of gray.

"Bags of molecules", eh? Hey, does that make me an honorary "bagger"?

Cool, actually! I always kind of envied their self-chosen, with-it moniker....
