In other news, escaped criminal Richard W. Matt has been located and killed by law enforcement. Well that's one.

Courtesy of the New York Times:

Richard W. Matt, one of the convicted murderers who staged an elaborate escape from New York’s largest prison nearly three weeks ago, was shot and killed on Friday by federal agents, two people with knowledge of the situation said.

There was a report of a second episode of gunfire as law enforcement officers pursued David Sweat, the other inmate, according to the two people. Mr. Sweat’s fate was unclear.

The shots were reported as law enforcement officers zeroed in on an area of remote terrain in Franklin County, near where investigators discovered evidence in two hunting cabins that indicated the missing inmates had been there.

It marked a violent turn in a sprawling manhunt that began in Dannemora, N.Y., a village near the Canadian border, and soon spread to large swaths of the state after Mr. Sweat and Mr. Matt engineered a daring breakout from Clinton Correctional Facility.

You know usually I hope that law enforcement takes criminals alive, but fuck this guy, he is too damn dangerous to be out here with the rest of us and if he died in the attempt to capture him so be it.

Just in case you think I am exaggerating how dangerous this guy is check out the Wikipedia page on him:

On December 3, 1997, Richard Matt attacked his 72 year old boss, William Rickerson, in his North Tonawanda home. After attacking him, and stopping to eat pepperoni and drink wine, Matt put Rickerson in his trunk and drove to New York. Matt was convinced Rickerson had large sums of money in his possession and demanded to know its location. At one point, Matt grasped the duct tape around Rickerson's hands and pulled it back, breaking his boss' fingers. Later, Matt snapped Rickerson's neck with his bare hands. He then dismembered the body and fled to Mexico to avoid capture.

Yeah like I said, fuck this guy.

Yes. And I have been thinking about this. If sweat is the weasel that he looks like. He will turn himself in. Spill the benos on all the corruption etc. And go into protective blah blah. IF he wants to die? He will surely find that out very soon because the boys with toys are out huntin. And skinney weasel is the target.

Remember, cops shoot to kill, not to maim! And, you don't even have to have a gun opposing them!

And, they especially like to kill black or brown people that are unarmed! Thank god we have video showing their nasty deeds across the nation!

I'm white! Don't get your panties in a wad!

Matt also killed a man in a bar fight in Mexico and was incarcerated there but escaped. He was a true psychopath, conning guards and others to help him in his escape plan. I hope that there will be a thorough investigation of how they were aided in their plan by the guards and that severe punishments are handed out. The hunt for the two men has cost the taxpayers millions of dollars.

I've already seen some people on some threads try to go all "oh, so police shooting and killing this guy is OK but not ______" (fill in the blank with Eric Gardner, Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, any unarmed black person).

If you encounter any of these idiots making a pointless comparison, please remind them that the unarmed black people were first unarmed (these fugitives - excuse me, just "this fugitive" now - can be expected to be armed) and the unarmed black people weren't doing anything dangerous (or in some cases anything wrong at all) when they were killed, and if they were doing "something wrong", they had not had a trial and been convicted of their wrongdoing, sentenced, sent to prison, and then violated the law again by escaping like these/this fugitive did.

That's kinda a different thing altogether. The situations are not comparable.

As I said, please just remind people of that if you have the chance.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

The media coverage of this subject is boring as hell. I don't believe anything the cops are saying about the hunt and non-hunt. They shoot before they are shot at and KILL! They'll kill the other guy too, whether he has a gun or not.

One channel showed they had 11,000 people out hunting for the one guy. You have to be fucking kidding me! They are wasting so much money and the people are falling for it.

Good. I'm no death penalty advocate but this man was a monster on the loose. He got what was coming to him.

One of them, according to the female seamstress accomplice who had sex with them, was "extremely well endowed", She chickened out the last minute because she realized they would kill her husband AND her. How does a high security prison supposed to work? What the hell does his junk have to do with anything? Anyway, I'm glad they got this guy, and hopefully the other one is taken alive and grilled for details. They had way too much leeway and help from more than one person, just my opinion. This is testing my anti death penalty stance, but if there's anyone who deserves it, it's these two. I'd love to know how much this fiasco is costing the taxpayers.
Dead or Alive, I hope they get him soon.
