Well Sarah Palin wanted attention, and she is certainly getting in response to her defense of the Duggar family.

"I have an idea. I'll say something really stupid and then everybody will write about me."

So as all of us know, yesterday Palin posted her incredibly angry diatribe defending the Duggar family, and launching a venomous attack against actress Lena Dunham, who up to that point had NOTHING to do with the Duggar story.

We talked about it for most of the day yesterday, so we all know how insane the attack was.

And unsurprising we were not the only ones who took notice. Let's list the media outlets now covering this Facebook post shall we?

Time Magazine offers a straight up report, no comments.

The Daily Beast however has a very definite opinion of Palin's rant, with a piece entitled "Irrelevant Sarah Palin Defends Molestation-Apologist Duggars, Deflects Blame onto Lena Dunham." (And oh yes, there are comments.)

Raw Story offered their take, with comments that have already tarred and feathered Palin.

US Magazine also has a piece.

As does MSNBC who also offered this portion in defense of Dunham: 

Late last year, developmental psychologist Ritch Savin-Williams, director of the Sex and Gender Lab at Cornell University, told Slate that Dunham’s behavior was “clearly not a case of abuse,” and added, “Children have been doing this stuff forever and ever and ever and ever, and they will do it forever and ever and ever.”

The comments over at Entertainment Weekly are not exactly Palin friendly either.

The Washington Post had this to offer as well: 

Sarah Palin is an increasingly infrequent and diminishing voice in today's Republican Party, with polls showing she is broadly unpopular among all Americans. But she maintains goodwill among a certain portion of the party -- social conservatives, who happen to be the target audience of shows like the Duggars'.

To be fair you can find a handful of internet sites that agree with Palin, like Breitbart for instance, however the vast majority of them either take Palin to task like the Daily Beast did, or simply report on the Facebook Post without comment and then have visitors tearing her into bite six pieces for her ignorance.

All I can say is that if Sarah Palin wanted attention, well she is sure getting it by the truckload.

However I should point out that at this point even the folks over at the Sea O'Pee would have to admit that angrily accusing an actress of being a pedophile in all capital letters pretty much seals the deal on Palin ever becoming a viable political candidate.
