Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Gryphen's - I couldn't agree more. The bible thumpers fail to see the irony in their self righteous accusations of attacks on their religious freedom. The Wasilla witch has used her favorite reference, "founding fathers" and how they recognized our "Christian" nation over and over again. Those of us who actually paid attention in school are quite aware of when and why "separation of church and state" was established.
The Wasilla idiot has made so many dumbass remarks about religious freedom under attack by current administration - as if the govt is the anti christ.
It's stunning how little people understand on this subject. The challenges to prayer in school, including any bible readings or referencing religion as part of their curriculum goes back to the 1940's and then again in the 1960's. The Supreme Court ruled against prayer in school because it violates religious freedom of all faiths - just as our founding fathers recognized.
Even now, I know people - intelligent people - that believe the govt infringed upon our rights when they ruled against prayer and religion in any state or federal office - the whole point of why is lost on those who still don't get it.
Our country needs to wake the eff up and go back to the basics of life, liberty and happiness. Stop with the infantile nonsense and focus our attention on why a racist, cheating, liar like palin was so close to the highest office of this nation.
Couldn't agree more, but how to explain "separation of church and state" when the perpetrators of the opposite nonsense are incapable of understanding or even acknowledging these facts.
For one...expose Sarah Palin... as if her Followers would believe for an instant she's lying about giving birth to Trig...see what I mean?
I often think about what this country would be like if the extremists gained complete control of the government. Freedom to judge, freedom to discriminate, freedom to exclude will become all too common. Because that's what people of a deep and abiding faith do when they have control and they don't like your beliefs. ISIS too extreme for you? Then try Salem. History has plenty of examples of how loving and caring theocrats really are.
Religion is a tool of man 2:57, man is not a tool of religion. Religion could completely not exist, and man would still kill each other, it is our nature. Got it?
AMEN!

Doesn't the bible say something like, render up to Ceasar that which is Ceasar's and render up to God that which is God's?
DeleteWhy doesn't the God Squad remember that particular part of what Jesus taught?

Just look at Afghanistan.
DeleteAfghanistan has one of the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the world. It is a very good place to watch women and babies die.
Half the population is forced to live in a cloth bag. If a woman tries to escape from the cloth bag, she is punished or killed.

Ditto. Religion will end life as we know it.
ReplyDeleteSilly.
DeleteIf anything ends life as we know it, it will just be mankind and his endless quest for power and control.

What do you think religion is?"
