The Jeb! campaign considering bringing in George W. to give it a boost with conservatives. Oh, yes that is EXACTLY what this campaign needs, more George W. Bush.

Courtesy of the New York Times:

With Jeb Bush struggling to connect with some Republican activists, his campaign has begun exploring whether to bring in the person it thinks may be best equipped to give him a boost with skeptical conservatives: his brother George W. Bush.

The 43rd president is a very popular figure among Republican voters and could deliver a needed jolt to his brother’s sluggish campaign.

Advisers to Jeb Bush in this crucial early primary state have asked national campaign officials in recent weeks to send in George Bush, 69, who so far has appeared only at private fund-raisers, to vouch for his younger brother on the campaign trail.

The request for reinforcement underlines the growing urgency that backers of Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor, feel as other candidates vault ahead of him by stirring the passions of the party’s base.

Yes, yes, yes, what a splendid idea!

And the great thing about it is that it will stir the passions in the base of BOTH parties!

You know if I were a consultant for the Jeb! campaign I would suggest just as many photo-ops with his brother as possible. I'm talking tons!

Hey maybe they could do a joint appearance on an aircraft carrier wearing matching flight suits?

Oh god, PLEASE make this happen!

(Sorry I got a little over excited there. I think I may have to change my pants now.)

Wait, wait how about this?

Bush/Bush 2016

(Yep I am definitely going to have to change my pants.)

What a picture of two rocket scientists!

P.S. my apologies to all rocket scientists.

  2. I'm not sure that the Rethuglikans are even that stupid. I'm sure they have retrospective love for him, and his supposed conservative bona fides, but I'm sure they remember his profligate spending and would not be looking forward to more of the same.

But what do I know. Just when I think I've seen THE most stupid thing said, or done, by a Rethuglikan, they go ahead and surprise me.

Is this the same George W Bush that Republicans didn't invite to speak at their convention in 2008 or 2012?

Oh yes, W is certainly going to give him a boost. Though I must admit, when you're getting down to 5% in the polls, you do have to try ANYTHING

Jeb! wants voters to see his accomplishments as Governor of Florida, but wants to invite Dubya to stump for him?! HAHAHAHAHAHA

      Desperation thy name is Jeb!

Well, JEB! was governor of Florida when Dubya was appointed president. Jeb'sstate was the one that broke the law to put his brother on the throne.

Funny - always loved that song. In this case it is totally appropriate.
I can see why Gryphen is excited about this idea, though. I don't know what the various IQ's are in this family - but Barbara probably has the highest one - seeing as how she dissed Palin.

      We're always clowning around...
If a majority of voters are stupid...
      Jeb'll be White House bound...

I think ol' Babs sucked ALL the oxygen out of the air the day she delivered those "boys" Not a smart one in the entire group. Google Neal and Marvin. If not for the name, they would be unemployable. So Jeb! has gone from not using his last name, to hauling out the most notorious of the Bush clan to stump for him. Poor, poor Jeb! no charisma, no personality, no intelligence, just a name.

Why is Jeb bringing in George Dubya Bush when he can bring in Sarah Palin for a certain fee?

Sarah Palin doesn't the "it" factor any more Jeb! knows it.

What a great idea. Now we'll finally get to hear all about the weapons of mass destruction and how killing Saddam stabilized the Middle East.

I have an even better idea since Jeb is doing so poorly. His brother was really just the acting president. It was Dick Cheney who was really in charge. Why not trot out Uncle Dick? That would really give Jeb's campaign the right boost.

I'm sure Cheney, Rove, Rice, Hughes, et al, are already advising Jeb who can't run on his last name.

George W. Bush was not smart enough to be president. He will never live down what he did. Jeb! is far worse as a candidate than even George.

Picture Jeb! standing on the rubble of 9/11, declaring to all the world "stuff happens"!

the following is a paragraph "carmton13" wrote on the c4P site in the comments' section. It is all one sentence. Who, other than $arah, talks like this?

Romney, Rove and their hacks are the ones who started going after Gov. Palin from the day she was selected VP nominee......why because they saw how people identified with her and she has something all pols wish they had the "IT" factor and is one of the most political savvy people to come along in many years who happens to be a woman, had to be made irrelevant, taken out because Romney wanted to run the GOP. ......the only problem was Gov. Palin 7 years later is the most influential woman in the history of the republican party is very much more relevant then the establishment, Romney, their political hacks, Loser Rove and his white board that I'd like to slap him upside his head with, just can't comprehend how this could have happened after all the lies and attacks they threw at her she is still standing stronger then ever.

Yes sarah, you were Influential .as in the DEMIZE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. THANK YOU!!! Somehow you've continued to confuse Infamy with being famous. Typhoid Mary was known as spreading a killer disease. The Tundra Tart is infamous for the spreading of lies and hate.

It does sound like sarah. From the run on sentence, using the word "hacks" to describe others & the highly delusional inflated opinion of herself I'd say it's her.

  22. These are the same people that would CRUCIFY Hillary for bringing in Bill to do exactly what Jeb! intends George W. to do.

By all means, bring George W. in. Let everyone remember Mr. My Pet Goat, Katrina, Iraq, Weapons of Mass Destruction, lower taxes for the 1%, higher debt for all of us, bailout for Wall St, foreclosures for the rest of us.

And to top it off, let's remind everyone who was actually responsible for 911 and who finally got Osama Bin Laden.

Yeah, bring ol' helluva job Georgie on the campaign trail. That will kiss Jeb!'s chances goodbye even faster. Take out each of the viable candidates one by one until nothing but the crazies are left.

Even Biden will be able to beat them.

Look at the size of his HEAD.
    I mean...
    Jeb's head is HUGE!
It's like a puffy bag of dough or something.
    Huge.
    Like a hot-air balloon.
