Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Both Cruz and Trump are scary crazy but if I hsd to choose between the two, I would vote for Trump. He isn't the religious fundamentalist that Cruz is. I really can't see Trump putting Sarah in a position of any relevance or power if he were to be elected. I strongly suspect it won't be much longer until Trump and Palin are crossways and in an full blown feud. I am hoping that Cruz will lose his Senate seat in two years. He is a very dangerous man.
ITA. Both are arrogant, egotistical assholes. I'm not so sure Trump isn't suffering from a BPD at best and bipolar disorder at worst. His grandiosity is a clear sign he ain't playing with a full deck. But I still think Trump is less scary than Cruz, because he's not an inflexible evangelical ideologue who sees everything in apocalyptic terms.
Crudz has himself a big problem. If his parents were Canadian citizens when he was born, as it appeared they voted in Canadian elections as only Canadian citizens can, then ..... He gave up his Canadian citizenship, and maybe is not an American citizen. May have to be deported. but he is a man without a country. Only place that will take them is .... Guantanamo. Good news is after 6 months of Crudz in Guano-land, Congress will beg Obama to close Guantanamo!
There is no proof that the Cruzes showed proof of Cdn citizenship, which they would have had to do in order to actually vote. There are any number of reasons people show up on the voter rolls, which are preliminary. I think Cruz Sr. and Jr. are both bat-shit crazy mixed with evil, and I sincerely hope enough Americans find legitimate reasons for not voting for Ted. Cdn citizenship isn't one of them, I'm afraid.
Maple If you are foreign born and did not petition for natural-born citizenship of your child at the time of their birth, guess what?
Do you really believe there are people all over the world whose parents were/are Americans whom we have no idea they even exist but are still natural born Americans?
Sorry to be Off-Topic, but something just occurred to me:
Isn't DNA sampling performed on any military member so that in the event it is needed for identification of remains, there is a sample for comparison? And if Track Palin's DNA is on file, could it ever somehow be compared with some from Curt Menard to prove or disprove a blood relationship?
4:24 -- 3:19 cares so much because it would be one more nail in her coffin of life-long hypocrisy, another example of her pattern of lying about "her" children, added to her lie about birthing Trig.
1. It could, but won't be; the military would never give it to you even if they still have it. 2. It isn't necessary; most people already know the truth. Sarah has never denied it.
What I would like to see is honest journalists (not Fox News sycophants) ask Sarah Palin for specifics: how exactly has President Obama failed veterans/military personnel? Specifics, Sarah, not word salad nonsense, mangled talking points. Act and talk like an adult and sit down for a real interview and tell Americans how the president has failed veterans. Don't stand at a podium and scream your childish gibberish to a crowd of knuckledragging nincompoops! Sarah's charge against the president is serious. Someone needs to hold Sarah accountable for her words. Those words that are comprehensible.
Exactly! The Repubs are in melt down mode. What started as a whim (because Trump has threatened, teased that he would run for president many times before) has snowballed! He's a force, a player now and they own him. Load up on the popcorn and or vodka, cause it's going to be a bumpy ride!
Trump has supporters across political lines from those who are authoritarian in their life outlook. But, if he is the nominee, it would certainly rally the sane people to get out and vote this time -- unite them against a common cause: a thin-skinned, narcissistic blowhard.
One Single, All-Too Common, Character Trait Unites Trump Supporters
“Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot in behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as the Donald himself,” the cover story out Friday reads.
And THAT remark comes from 22 Republicans: from Glenn Beck to William Kristol.
After the editors of the conservative National Review published their “Against Trump Symposium” Thursday night, the party swiftly moved to sanction the magazine, stripping it of it’s media partnership for the pre-Super Tuesday debate on CNN.
The magazine spokesman said it was a small price to pay "for speaking the truth about The Donald." Implosion much, GOP? Didn't you see this coming when you let Trump get away with his crap?
Barbara Carlson - I've got news for republicans, any and all of em, every GOP candidate would be a menace to America. Just the fact that you would align yourself in the same party as Cruz and tRump speaks volumes about your judgment. There is no defending what the republican party has become.
As much as I disrespect tRump, I'm thrilled with how he has exposed so many of their policies as being ridiculous.
Trump finally showed up for the news conference he hastily announced last night while he was in Vegas. I'm guessing he was speaking at that Shot Show because the Sportsman Channel was on the backdrop behind him. A few hand-picked reporters, of course, as Lawrence O'Donnell mentioned, & most likely pre-arranged questions.
He didn't saying anything about Sarah needing some time off to be with her family, but he did respond to 2 different questions about her endorsement.
He again reiterated that SHE approached HIM about an endorsement, & that he was happy she had been with him YESTERDAY. He emphasized the YESTERDAY part like it was completely in the past, & no future appearances were scheduled.
One of the questions also addressed the protection of public lands. For this, he turned the mike over to his son Don, who hunts on a regular basis. Stressed the importance of keeping lands available, etc. pretty much the opposite of the Bundy Bunch squatting in Oregon. So Big Game Hunter Grisly Mama wasn't invited to speak on that topic which should have been a natural fit.
Yeah, I think The Donald is done with Snowflake Snookie. Can't publicly fire her, because that would mean admitting a mistake. But if SHE decides to attack him, I imagine he now has a lot of oppo research he'd be ready to drop.
You are reading this so correctly. He sent that ass home! Apparently he took Joe Scar's advice from yesterday morning. Sarah went too far with her Obama put down and got more attention then Trump bargained for. Also, this morning Tom Brokaw joined Morning Joe to take her down another peg or two using the Peggy Noonan WSJ article: http://www.wsj.com/articles/palin-and-the-gops-uncertain-trumpeters-1453422465?mod=rss_opinion_main
Joe Scarborough lurks among us. He lives in a glass house, haunted by Lori Klausutis who was murdered in his congressional office. The reason nobody knows is Joe had the media make a federal case over the Chandra Levy disappearance, blaming democratic congressman Gary Condit.
Remember when a dead intern was found in Joe Scarborough's office. The medical examiner was paid to say she died from falling and hitting her head. She was a health fanatic.
Right now, the only slight criticism he's using is that her speech went on longer than he expected. But no, he was not happy that her appearance garnered more attention for her.
But seriously, what can you expect when 2 ginormous narcissists are on the same stage?
Ha ha ha! The cartoon is funny because she's so undeniably awful!! She deserves some tiny speck of grudging admiration to have the sturdy cajones to show her rapidly aging face and spew her gibberish in public when the vast majority of us mercilessly ridicule her seemingly endless string of failures and humiliations.
It is interesting that Trump keeps bringing up that it was Sarah Palin who approached him. It looks like he's putting a little distance between them. I doubt she's going to be out campaigning with him. That speech she gave endorsing Trump was CRAZY! Combine that with her dysfunctional children and their problems and the backlash she got for blaming Obama for Tracks domestic violence, and I think Trump wants to quietly ease her out.
I read that Trumps interview last night was at the Shot's Show. Think maybe Sarah went home so she didn't run into Dakota or she might have seen a few f u signs with her name on it this year!

Ted Cruz puts family's health in jeopardy, uses it to make political point
Ted Cruz told a New Hampshire crowd Thursday that he and his family are among the ranks of the uninsured—and it's Obamacare's fault, the demagogue whined.
"I'll tell you, you know who one of those millions of Americans is who's lost their health care because of Obamacare? That would be me," Cruz told a Manchester, New Hampshire, audience. "I don't have health care right now." […]
"So our health care got canceled, we got a notice in the mail, Blue Cross Blue Shield was leaving the market. And so we're in the process of finding another policy," Cruz said. "I hope by the end of the month we'll have a policy for our family. But our premiums—we just got a quote, our premiums are going up 50 percent. That's happening all over the country. That's happening in New Hampshire."
Cruz didn't explain why he allowed his—and his family's—coverage to lapse. It's certainly not Obamacare's fault. Politico reports that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas has not pulled out of the exchange, though it did stop selling some of its plans. And, of course, "while premiums did rise across the country this year, they did not spike 50 percent."
He did make a joke about it, though, saying "when you let your health insurance policy lapse, your wife gets really ticked at you. It’s not a good—I've had, shall we say, some intense conversations with Heidi on that." Hahahaha. The little woman is mad at him for endangering his family's health. You know, women.

Now Obamacare caused Cruz to forget to renew his health insurance. Guess Cruz can rely on his Canadian healthcare, oops forgot, no longer available.
He should be happy none of his followers are able to use logic, otherwise they might question how his lapse in memory is Obamacare's fault.
BCBS pulled out of the ppo market in NM. It's possible it did the same thing in Texas. Unfortunately, I lost my BCBS private plan Jan 1st. My new insurance is more, and about $50 a month more for me and $200 a month for my spouse. We don't qualify for substidies so are now paying about $1000 a month for 2 people. I'm not happy with the Insurance company, but still am very supportive of the ACA. Without it, I wouldn't have Any insurance as I had a pre existing condition.

Not necessarily, Maple. Cruz's eligibility is far from settled.
DeleteMaple, sorry but his citizenship is a BIG issue and they FACT that he is playing it down disturbs me.
DeleteHe also lied about when and how his father came to the US, why embellish a story if it isn't necessary.
There is proof that his father had Canadian citizenship, his mother could have gain Canadian citizenship when they married.
They still have not proved she was in the USA for the necessary time in order to qualify for US citizenship.
