Ted Cruz gets called out for false claims about Obamacare by Fox News.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

Cruz has claimed that Obamacare is a huge job killer, but Wallace brought up how millions of jobs have been created in the past few years and millions now have health insurance. Cruz responded by calling the media fact checkers “not fair and impartial.”

Wallace said there’s no question millions of people now have jobs and health insurance. Cruz said, “Yes, there is question.” He argued that growth has been very small all of Obama’s years in office.

As they kept going back and forth, a testy Cruz said, “Chris, don’t interrupt me.” Wallace stepped in and called him out for “changing the subject.”

I swear Cruz must have taken lying classes from Sarah Palin. He does it so naturally.

However just because Cruz is a clown does not mean we can ignore him.

In fact Cruz represents one of the MOST dangerous member of the GOP goon squad this election cycle.

For example here is how Cruz responded to a question about his plans for the Supreme Court:

“I have spent my entire adult life fighting judicial activism, fighting to defend the Constitution, fighting to defend the Bill of Rights,” Cruz said. “Unlike the very fine individuals on that debate stage, I will be willing to spend whatever political capital is necessary, and sir I give you my word, every justice I put on that court will be a principled constitutionalist jurist with a proven record who will be faithful to the law and will not legislate from the bench.”

The concept of creating a more conservative Supreme Court is not new for Cruz. He regularly devotes part of his campaign speeches to the idea, repeating the same point: Republicans of the past have been too scared of political fights to appoint very right-wing justices. If he’s elected, he says, that will change.

“Many of the most liberal justices in this country — Earl Warren, Bill Brennan, John Paul Stevens, David Souter, Harry Blackman, the author of Roe v. Wade — all of those were Republican appointees,” Cruz said. “And the reason is simple. Over and over again we keep electing Republican presidents for whom the court is not a priority. And when it comes to a nomination, they take the easy road out.”

Yeah if that did not send a cold chill up your back then you might want to check your pulse to be sure your still among the living.

I have to say that as much as I despise many of the candidates on the Republican side, virtually ALL of them would be preferable to having Ted Cruz win the nomination.

It's really not because I have no confidence that Hillary can kick his ass, she can without even mussing her hair, it's just that I don't want that sleazy mound of pond scum to even get that close to the White House.

Hillary will make mincemeat out of Rafael with one arm tied behind her back as well as 98/100ths of her brain. After that sweet defeat it will then be paramount for my fellow Texans to make sure Rafael loses his Senate seat in two years.

    1. Anonymous5:50 PM

  2. Anonymous4:40 PM

The point is voters in both parties think Obama care Needs to go. It's awful and unaffordable. My household income is 100k so I don't even know how someone who makes 60k feels.

    1. Anonymous4:59 PM

    2. Anonymous5:07 PM

Concern troll. That's baloney. It depends on the players in the state. The more there are, the better the competition.

    3. Anonymous5:26 PM

      4:40 PM

      You are a lying fool.

    4. Anonymous5:39 PM

Save it, Buddy. Nobody is buying your bs.

    5. Anonymous6:11 PM

I made 10k last year. That is tips included. And I worked enough hours that my employer was required to give me health insurance under Obamacare.

Before Obama care I would have not had health insurance. I still haven't been able to get to the doctor, but at least if something happens or I am injured, I won't lose everything that I have accumulated or own over the last decade.

    6. Anonymous6:11 PM

I am the most "lefty" person I know, I live in a lefty state (NY) I voted for Obama twice, and have Obabma-care. Sorry it sucks. Like anon 4:40 said, Its completely unaffordable and unsustainable. My deduction alone doubled this year! We no longer have health insurance we have accident and hospitalization insurance. That's not the same thing.

Obama care did nothing for preventable diseases or early diagnosis like was told to us over and over again. It was a very lucrative deal for the insurance companies though.

Now to give credit where credit is due, the pre-existing condition BS that insurance co. used to deny everyone everything had to go. So well done Obama!

    7. Anonymous6:54 PM

Preventive care is covered under an ACA healthcare policy. Such things as annual gyno exam/PAP test, mammogram, prostate screening and colonoscopy. I'd say that goes a long way to early diagnoses of treatable diseases.

    8. Anonymous6:59 PM

Obama care did nothing for preventable diseases or early diagnosis like was told to us over and over again
I live in Mich and imagine it is the same in NY-preventative visits, vaccines and some diagnostics are all covered by ACA.

Maybe you don't understand your policy.

    9. Anonymous7:00 PM

4:40 PM You don't know diddly. You probably get free native healthcare like Sarah Palin's useless family does.

    10. Anonymous7:01 PM

Okay Obamacare isn't what it should be,
      tit for tat right now.

      The paradigm is misguided.

Healthcare should not be tied to employment!!!!

      Stew that concept.

    11. A Superfan In Atlanta7:29 PM

      Anon 6:11p,
If you only made 10k, then you qualify for Medicare. The exchange site automatically refers low income families to Medicare for coverage.

Do better research for your family or talk with your HR person about that alternative -- especially if they are deducting payments from your salary.

    12. Anonymous8:31 PM

100k for humping and bumping? is that all?

    13. Anonymous1:01 AM

Is that you, Trig? Welcome to the intertubes.

    14. Anonymous3:53 AM

7:29, you're confusing Medicare and Medicaid, and you're not clear on the requirements for the latter.

  3. Anonymous4:48 PM

Your entire adult life, Ted? HAH! You wouldn't be anything without the $arah Palin kiss of death comin' round again to meet and greet ya. Have fun, buddy.

  4. Anonymous4:54 PM

    kind of O/T:

'Even screechy babbling Bumpit-headed Sarah Palin, whose endorsement helped Cruz win in Texas, prefers Trump.

To be fair, there is probably a quid pro quo in play for Palin, including a shopping spree at Forever 21 and a comp room and all-you-can-drink mini-bar at Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York whenever she’s in town.

But do politicians, peers, and washed-up reality stars with rogue children actually know the REAL Ted Cruz?'

  5. Olivia5:00 PM

This man is such a creep, even his own daughter wants to have nothing to do with him. Look at her flick her fingers at his face. You can trust a child's opinion of how much an adult is an asshole, especially an adult she knows well.

    1. Anonymous5:17 PM

I hate Ted more than words can say, but I also think his bratty daughters need at best to learn a little respect. They remind me of Trig Palin. I won't say what I would do to any of those kids only because Gryphen would simply block the comment.

    2. Anonymous5:25 PM

Maybe they really don't want him to touch them. Even little kids have a right not to be touched, even by their own parents. Similarly, when Trig Palin tries to wack Sarah in the face, it could be because he doesn't like her and doesn't want her to touch him.

    3. Anonymous5:28 PM

5:17 - You aren't fooling anyone. Pull that stick out of your ass.

    4. Anonymous5:30 PM

I don't know about bratty. Maybe the little girl wasn't comfortable with the show of affection in front of a bunch of strangers. Maybe she was shy and embarrassed.

And it IS Ted Cruz after all.

    5. Anonymous5:30 PM

What would you do? Give them something to cry about?

    6. Anonymous5:47 PM

Trust me, I would've done something long ago to teach Cruz's little bitch daughters a lesson. I don't suffer children and especially the bratty ones. I'm not going to bother to go into more detail because Mr I-Hate-Censorship wouldn't post it.

      Sincerely, 5:17

    7. Anonymous6:56 PM

Ted has confirmed that he spanks his daughters so what else can he do? When corporal punishment doesn't work next step, military school?

    8. Anonymous6:58 PM

My father used to spank us bare bottomed with a belt, with big rivets in it, of course this was the 70's and more common that it is now.

I never forgot what I'd done to deserve those beatings and I certainly never did whatever it was again :-)

Throughout our lives my brother and I, if we do or say something out of line, find that our hands go up to cover our butts instinctively.

    9. Anonymous7:05 PM

Hitting children is barbaric, even if they are you own.

    10. Anonymous7:07 PM

      "little bitch daughters."

    11. Anonymous7:14 PM

You know what I have to say, if anyone cares is that his daughter is a preteen or so, and has been thrust into the limelight. As much as I dislike the Cruz, who if you ask me is not an AMERICAN CITIZEN, it looks like he got caught up in a little bit of family angst. And so my wonderful IM friends, as much as we want to vilify creepy Teddy, he is earning his chops in fatherhood sadly right in front of a camera, with his sensitive teenage daugher.

    12. Anonymous9:17 PM

      Cruz's daughters are 5 and 7, so not pre-teens.

I also think you are being generous to him. He's such an asshole to everyone, chances are he's kind of an asshole at home, too.

    13. Anonymous4:00 AM

Those "little bitch daughters" are 5 and 7, you sick fuck, and they're modeling the bad behavior they see in their parents.

No doubt they're also frustrated at only getting affection from their father when the cameras are rolling. They see him so rarely that they refer to him as a "guest in the house." I also note that, like Palin's kids who missed school the entire fall of 2008, the Cruz kids are dragged around the campaign trail rather than being in school with a heathy daily routine.

I have noticed that the people who say "I was spanked/hit and I turned out fine"...didn't.

    14. That is a damning video -- that kid hates her dad and she's only 7 years old, not a teenager. He looks understandably worried that was caught on film. To continue to force himself on her was very creepy; refusing to take her rejection of him.

    15. Anonymous6:21 AM

      @4:00am -
Perhaps if the term "little bitch" was leveled at Tripp Johnston or another Palin kid, you'd be okay with it. Amirite?!?!?!

    16. Anonymous6:56 AM

You're as wrong as you have been throughout this thread. Calling small children "little bitches" is beyond creepy. Get some fucking help. I wouldn't leave you alone with anybody's child.

  6. Anonymous5:08 PM

4:40. If Obamacare goes, millions go without insurance. It is about life and death. It needs improvement, not abolishment. What is your alternative?

    1. Anonymous5:29 PM

      4:40 is a troll.

    2. Anonymous6:17 PM

      Single payer!

    3. Anonymous7:25 PM

I can only hope that whether it's Bernie or Hillary, we get to single payer soon. Let me just say this. My husband would have started his own business years ago but we needed health care and it was too risky to go without. When repuglicans discuss small business, health care or whatever the lie of the day happens to be, I can't help but wonder how much better it would be without the burden of an extra $14,400 a year in health care coverage and that's through his employment.

Trump just said today he would appoint judges who would overturn same-sex marriage.

IMO, the most significant powers any President has are: 1) Commander in Chief; and 2) nominating members of the Supreme Court.

If Trump, Cruz, or any Republican gets in, he will have the opportunity to appoint two, three, or more justices. And, most likely, younger ones who could live for decades. A radical right-wing SCOTUS--can you imagine six Scalias?--would destroy this country. That's what terrifies me, even more than going to war somewhere again.

    1. Anonymous6:03 PM

    2. Anonymous6:19 PM

Trump is just pandering to another narrow minded group for votes.

  9. Anonymous5:31 PM

Ok, Ted. Prove you are a USC and prove your mother was not a Canadian citizen while she was living and married to your father in Canada when you were born, thereby making you NOT a US citizen and unable to run for President or Senator of Texas. People are still waiting for proof

    1. Anonymous7:06 PM

The natural born citizen rule only applies to the Presidency. It doesn't apply to other political offices such as Representative or Senator. Jennifer Granholm former Governor of Michigan is an example. She was born in Vancouver, Canada.

  10. Anonymous6:02 PM

Gryphen, before I post my comment on Theodore "Ted" Cruz, I need your advice: Would you agree that suppuratingdouchebagsackofshit can be written as one word meaning what it sounds like it means without having to break it down into separate words?

    1. Anonymous7:09 PM

I'll take a stab at your question, 6:02. I don't know what the first 11 letters are spelling but I would say the last part of that would be one word.

    2. Anonymous11:18 PM

suppurating is latin for something like pus producing or pus oozing.

Yeah, if you are conjugating the shittiness of Ted Cruz it is all one word.

  11. Anonymous6:48 PM

Worry about the voting machines. History is against a Democratic Presidency for three terms in a row. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

    1. Anonymous8:36 PM

well now run down there to stare at cards now!

  12. Anonymous6:55 PM

My Dad was a Physician. A Radiologist. He was called to heal. He was a diagnostician. First, do no harm. Healthcare has been usurped by insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Let television tell me all the things that are wrong with me? And I need a drug to fix it? Why would I participate in this debacle? There is nothing wrong with me. What is wrong is corporations telling me how fucked up I am. I'm not fucked up. Greed is what's fucking everything up.

    1. Somebody on my Facebook feed recently pointed out we do not have a health care system, we have a disease management system. Big Pharma doesn't get richer from healthy people.

    2. Anonymous11:15 PM

Go to the doctor and watch them do data entry instead of diagnosing.

The fucking MBA bean counters run things anymore.

  13. Anonymous6:56 PM

Sadly, we've seen it before with Sarah Palin.

  14. Anonymous7:00 PM

Ted Cruz is a frightening prospect because he follows through with the craziness that he promises, such as shutting down the government. He followed through with that even though it cost the Federal government billions. He's a petulant child and he will prove his points no matter what it costs.

Graydon Carter reveals the presidential candidate’s thin-skinned response to a favorite 25-year-old epithet.

"Just to drive him a little bit crazy, I took to referring to him as a “short-fingered vulgarian” in the pages of Spy magazine. That was more than a quarter of a century ago. To this day, I receive the occasional envelope from Trump. There is always a photo of him—generally a tear sheet from a magazine. On all of them he has circled his hand in gold Sharpie in a valiant effort to highlight the length of his fingers."

    1. Anonymous4:36 AM

Hmmm. Short fingers...short you know what.. HA!

  17. jkarov8:10 PM

Ted Cruz is a radical, militant Christian Dominionist above all else.

I dont' think I've seen anyone more rigidly fanatical, hateful, and despicable as Cruz in the last 30 years.

His ultimate agenda is to try and fulfill prophecy about his "anointed" status as a "King", and to force evangelical Christian doctrine on every US Citizen by law, if at all possible.

In Ted Cruz's world, his faith and belief in the supremacy of his god is paramount, and anyone else's viewpoints are mere obstacles to overcome.

He does not, and cannot believe or support the US Constitution based on the 1st amendment, and Article 6, paragraph 3.

There is no quarter given by the Dominionists in their attempt to dominate the USA in what they call the "Seven Mountains", being government, church, education, family, media, arts, and business.

These folks feel called by their God to dominate, every single aspect of society, and force a virtual theocracy on the USA, in clear contradiction to the 1st amendment, and Jefferson's clear statement about
"separation of church and state", in his letter to the Danbury Baptists.

Ted Cruz doesn't want the general public to know anything about his hidden agenda, but it's crystal clear that he is not about being a US Senator, and fulfiling his obligation to Texas citizens.

He is 100% for Christian domination of government in exactly the same way that Sharia law functions in Islamic countries.

Cruz would to FAR MORE DAMAGE THAN W BUSH as President, because he would use religion as the ultimate litmus test for every single appointment he would make.

His Cabinet meetings would be more like a bible study, and the USA would suffer untold damage.

I despise Trump, but I'd take him as President 1000 times over rather than let Cruz the Christian Hitler into the Oval office.

Palin family drama about to be drowned out?

"The stars of the series recently suffered through some scandals when it was revealed that Joshua Duggar took part in, a website that serves as an online dating site for married men. With the family known as devout Christians, the news of Joshua's infidelity led to the show's cancellation."

Shit! I had it all wrong. I thought it was his serial molesting and all that pedophile trooper buddy of his daddy's cover up shit that caused the trouble.

  19. Anonymous11:36 PM

Pure slime was elected in Texas on the endorsement of Sarah Palin years ago. His opponent was an establishment Republican, David Dewhurst, who absolutely expected to be elected. Then the damn tea party, Kochs, trotted this freak out. He held the position of solicitor general under Bush administration, but even GW says he doesn't like him. He is a vile reptile propped up by tea party traitors. If he wins, pack your bags because he is a fascist and he and his cuckoo father will ruin the country in a millisecond. One of the most frightening people in politics today, that would be Cruz.

  20. Anonymous1:03 AM

And he has no support from fellow Republican congressmen.
