Donald Trump goes off on RNC, and hints at possible run as third party candidate.

Courtesy of ABC News:

At a town hall today in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Donald Trump floated the idea -- without explicitly threatening to do so -- that he may run as an independent candidate.

Trump attacked the Republican National Committee, saying it "better get its act together" and it "does a terrible job."

Trump said he believes the RNC treated him unfairly. Trump also went off on the crowd that booed him during Saturday night's GOP debate in South Carolina: "Look at it, that was a wealthy room."

"The whole room was made of special interests and donors, which is a disgrace from the RNC," Trump said. "The RNC better get its act together because, you know, I signed a pledge. The pledge isn’t being honored by the RNC."

Trump signed an RNC pledge in September, agreeing not to run a third-party candidacy and to support the eventual Republican nominee.

"I signed a pledge, but it’s a double-edged pledge. As far as I’m concerned, they’re in default on their pledge," Trump said of the RNC.

Let me just say right now that if Donald Trump decides to run as a third party candidate in 2016, I will take back every nasty thing I ever said about him.

It would quite literally be about the greatest thing ever for this election, and could possibly damage the GOP so badly that it would never recover.

I can almost hear the RNC filling their Depends at the very thought.

Jeebus, who ISN'T treating Trump "unfairly"?

What a whiner, I can't even work out if he's a bigger whiner than even Sarah Palin or if she is still world champion. Both of them do nothing but whine.

The pond seem to think old Sarah is hanging out for VP. I'd love for the old orange fool to go there, you could run a side of beef against that ticket and it would win.

Hi Gryphen! As I have stated here previously, I firmly believe that The Donald is a "false flag": he is stirring up dissension and infighting within the GOP. As much as I think he blows hot air most of the time, he proved me wrong in last Saturday's debate. He had the balls to call out Dubya and his minions over 9/11, and was jeered. Meanwhile, Rubio tries to pin 9/11 on President Clinton, and is met with wild applause?!! As far as I'm concerned, he may also have cut ties with palin. She may brag about being "important"; however, after the Iowa cluster-fuck, and her loser kid outed as a whupper, he now sees otherwise. He looked very embarrassed off-stage while she screeched psycho-babble, and you could hear a pin drop in that room! I think that his game plan is to undercut the GOP from within, and go third-party to split the vote.

IMO...I think Trump has told Palin to wait in the wings until the announcement is made that Dakota is not the father. Also, I think Dakota is waiting for Sarah to get back on the stage for Trump to release the DNA results and embarrass her maybe for a final time.
Then again there is something to the "keep your enemy closer" that could have been Trump's plan all along!

I totally agree with this. Let Boopsie show up in SC, after the mess she has at home, and give the "sacred speech," as Woody Harrelson coined in "Game Change," that she was hell bent on and the lights were turned off onstage leaving her in darkness.

Please proceed, "governor," by all means. You just can't help yourself. Sheesh.

  4. Trump is a hired hitman paid by the Clintons and possibly others within the democrat party. I've always believed that and each time he makes an outrageous comment (all the time) he proves my theory. No matter what, he's not interested in the presidency. He's after more fame and fortune.

I also don't think he's a hired gun. I've long been convinced that he has his own reasons for wanting to stick a big middle finger directly in the eye of the GOP establishment. If he isn't actually trying, he could hardly do a better job if he were trying. The embrace of Palin, from whom the GOP is clearly scrambling big time to distance itself, was a stroke of genius. Laying the blame for 9/11 and Iraq squarely at Dubya's feet was an even bigger one. Whatever else the man might be, he is not dumb. This is one heck of a choreographed dance he's pulling off.
An interesting scenario: Trump wins the nomination and goes on to win the election after Hilary gets blindsided by something unexpected, maybe even a health crisis; the Senate tips Democratic; Trump realizes what side of the bread the butter is on and appoints a more liberal justice than anyone Obama would have dared pick.
Alternatively, Hilary winning & appointing Obama works for me as well.

If Donald Trump was 100% sure he could win, he would stick around with the RNC. Now that Cruz is so threatening, Donald will turn and run. He's either going to go third party drop out altogether (and bluster about how he wasn't appreciated and the RNC is LUCKY he won't be running as an independent).

The one thing Donald Trump can't do is lose. His ego wouldn't be able to take it. Look how much he freaked out after Iowa. He will save face and come out of the whole thing pretending that he COULD have won if he hadn't be thwarted by the RNC or the process or cheaters.

I think you may have just hit the nail on the head. He NEVER loses (even when he does lose, he finds a way to claim victory) and NEVER takes blame for anything. Your scenario would solve both problems perfectly.

He just wants the fame and adulation and has no intention of actually doing the hard work of running the country. This way, he can avoid the job itself, blame others for his loss, and say that he COULD have won it all if he really tried.

    2. Yes. Considering his psychic challenges -- and they are yuuge -- these analyses work well to explain what he has to do. First revenge, then an escape clause. The pledge thing: "They are not holding up their side of it." Another way out. It won't be the first of his "rationalizations".

But I must admit, re the video, I have never heard him speak without loud-mouthed bluster.

The GOP’s Fact-Free Year of Hysterical Denunciations Just Got Worse

The GOP has got nothing, and it knows it. The entire party lacks a platform and its candidates have resorted to the handy expedient of hurling insults and hysterical denunciations at one another and at their Democratic rivals.

John Kasich Proposes Federal Agency To “Push Christianity” On the Middle East

Kasich subscribes to the Republican delusion that the road to peace depends upon forcing extremist Christianity down Muslim throats

...It is apparent that like George W. Bush’s neo-conservative Christian administration, Kasich subscribes to the Republican delusion that the road to peace (read American dominance) in the world is predicated on forcing the religious rights’ particular brand of extremist Christianity down Islamic populations’ throats.

Governor Kasich failed to give his federal government agency a theocratic name, but he does know that its only purpose and mission is to “promote the Jewish- and Christian-based belief system to four regions of the world: China, Iran, Russia and the Middle East.” No matter what Kasich or any American theocrat names the new agency, based on its mission statement it will be America’s Department of the Judeo-Christian Crusade and Inquisition.

Kasich thinks everyone in the Middle East will become Americanized if the government will just “beam messages around the world about the freedoms Americans enjoy! It means freedom, it means opportunity, it means respect for women, it means freedom to gather, it means so many things.” What it means is that the alleged “moderate” Kasich holds the same extremist religious conviction that the Bush administration embraced to set America on a destructive path in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. Dissatisfied with the current effects of Bush-imperialism, the so-called “moderate” Kasich wants to expand the crusade with theocratic vengeance.

    This is great news!

Scalia’s Death Came As Conservatives Were About To Seize Historic Legal Gains

...The entire current legal strategy of the conservative legal movement has been stymied by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. His unexpected passing robs conservatives of the 5-4 advantage they had on the Supreme Court at the very moment they were making arguably their most aggressive play yet to cement some their most cherished and longest sought legal gains, in areas like abortion, voting rights, and affirmative action.

While much of the immediate focus after Scalia's death over the weekend was on the long game of who replaces him, and when, the impact is far more immediate and potentially historic. Even if a Republican president ultimately names Scalia's successor, the conservative legal movement will have suffered a dramatic setback by virtue of how many important cases it had queued up for this year that will be thrown into turmoil by a court with only eight justices and the potential for 4-4 tie votes.

With a number of high-stakes cases at or heading towards the Supreme Court, conservative legal advocates face a situation where they are unlikely to get the sweeping decisions they were hoping for, especially in the cases specifically designed to roll back progressive policies. Even any favorable outcomes in some of the test cases they lined up for the high court are now in jeopardy.

Of COURSE it's the RNC's fault! They obviously didn't read the fine print that his Bestest Lawyers in the Whole World added to the pledge. It said they were to provide him with a throne, crown and scepter for each of the debates. The throne was to be placed on a special platform, with a flattering-colored spotlight, and he was to be attended to by 6 beautiful handmaidens (because all anyone needs is a "young and beautiful piece of ass", right?).

After all, how could ANYONE, no less the Trumpster, possibly be expected to function properly without those small amenities??

That pledge was only as good as Donald Trump's word. I think we can see exactly how good his word is. His promises mean NOTHING. His pledges are meaningless. His word is worthless.

Yes, I think Donald Trump is running for EGO and publicity. I also think he has a false sense of what a president can do and is able to do. He has no idea what he is getting in to and he probably thinks that as president he can do whatever he wants any way he wants to do it.

Sure, let him run a third party campaign.

Even Bernie Sanders can win against a split GOP. Even if Rubio is on the Republican ticket. Trump will pull enough votes that either Hillary or Bernie can easily win.

So GO TRUMP! You go ahead and run an independent campaign.
