Gee I wonder if Track Palin's mommy will go to court with him?

Track Palin and his punching bag.
Courtesy of Radar Online:

RadarOnline.com has learned that Track Palin will soon have to face the court to answer for his recent arrest for assault and possession of a weapon while intoxicated.

The army vet, who pled not guilty to the charges, must attend a pre-trial conference on Feb. 19 at the Palmer Courthouse.

If Palin does not settle his case at the pre-trial conference, the courts have set a trial call for March 24.

I am hoping against hope that Track stubbornly refuses to plead guilty to these charges, and that we get to watch this whole thing play out in the media.

I am already trying to get somebody to cover my work responsibilities so that I can hang out in the Palmer courthouse.

I will convince Dennis Zaki to come back too, and film them entering and leaving the courthouse.

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this idiot will not listen to reason.

And why would he? After all he's a Palin.

Attaboy Gryphen! You & Dennis march right up to that courthouse with your cameras so you can make sure all of the participants in this know you're there.

Whatever happens, make sure you don't use any of your energy or money to help Anchorage area battered women's shelters. After all, that's no fun, that wouldn't show that you take an issue like this seriously, no siree!

This isn't about helping decrease domestic violence or seeing that Jordan receives justice. It's about your amusement, your entertainment, adding points to your score in the Palin war. This whole situation is hilarious, isn't it? Milk it for all it's worth, make sure that it becomes as much about you as possible - that'll show the Palins now, won't it?

You are a sad , sick, pathetic excuse for a man. And I dare you to let this comment go through, you fucking misogynistic coward.

My thoughts, too. I've questioned several times if he went straight into rehab to impress the court and why he filed to participate in all hearings telephonically.

Pretty certain that's why sp rushed back to AK; whisk him off to rehab for the benefit in court and to lock him down so she could return to her life and not have to be bothered about him.

Has anyone seen him since his release from his arrest last month? Any hints from "the cousin"?

No job, yet lots of travel, money, vehicles etc? If he had a real job, he would have to show up sober on a daily basis. He will end up in prison, because he is no longer a juvenile. Anyone can ask to "phone it in", as I stated down thread often times the attorney has a prior engagement that precludes him from attending a hearing in person out of town. Track's attorney is in Anchorage so if he had a conflict he'd file a motion to attend telephonically. The judge does not have to approve the motion but often does if the reason is valid.

      Delete
    6. Anonymous6:53 PM

I have a family member who got arrested as a consequence of untreated mental illness. The case dragged on for years, and I attended more hearings than I can count after he was out on bail. *Never* *once* was it presented as an option for my relative to "phone it in." Sitting in the courtroom I moreover watched even more hearings for other cases, and *never* *once* did anyone, either a lawyer or a defendant, "phone it in." Defendants in rehab show up with people from the rehab program. Defendants out on bail show up with their lawyers. If a lawyer isn't present the judge doesn't take up the case. If a defendant on bail isn't present then an arrest warrant is issued. If you're charged with a crime, you Do. Not. "phone it in." At least not in the universe most people live in.

Don't know if it is a "Palin prerogative" but here in Alaska they do a lot of phone-in and teleconference court cases.

Mostly because of the distances involved and difficulty getting from point a to point b, especially if the weather is bad.

As the person above said, the attorney probably had something going in Anchorage....or just thought he/she would at least ask as it would be a benefit to his client not to show up.

And for the person who had to sit through a million court sessions, sorry for you. But, I doubt, even in Alaska that the judge offers the option to call it in. Gotta know to ask. And now I do!

And speaking of the judge. The judge OK'd the call in sessions. He/She may not want the Palins in the court room if it will cause a public scene.

Anyone is allowed to go sit in on the court session and listen to what goes on. Probably lawyer will do all the talking.

Sarah will pay her way out of this one, if she knows the judge. But something tells me her "Get out of jail free" card expired. If he gets Virginia Gentleman to represent him, we're screwed. LMAO.

This pre-trial hearing will be low key, basically a conversation between judge, lawyer(s) and client where most likely his lawyers will try to get him to change his plea to guilty in exchange for not going to trial.

I'm sure his family would advise him to take this route to avoid the publicity of a nasty trial.

      Delete
    3. Anonymous6:08 PM

This is just a pre-trial conference between client, attorney and judge. There will be no evidence submitted. Usually an attorney will use the conference to try to get client to plead down for lesser penalty instead of continuing to plead guilty and go to trial.

His actual trial is not scheduled until 3/24, where, if he does not plead down, he will have to attend in person and evidence will be submitted and subpoenaed witnesses will speak.

If he doesn't plead then yes, the 3/24 trial will be very interesting and Gryphen should definitely be there for the circus. If found guilty of his charge of Assault in 4th Degree (Class A Misdemeanor) he could face a year in prison, up to $10,000 fine or probation and community service. I doubt he'd like to take the chance of spending a year in jail, although a first time misdemeanor charge such as his usually doesn't net jail time why take the risk?

I bet he pleads down and gets a fine and some community service and there is no trial. If he's smart he will.

Lots of people have their lawyers file a motion to attend non-trial court appearances telephonically, it's pretty common. The judge is the one who ultimately decides whether to confirm or deny.

In this case Track's attorney is in Anchorage so this way he doesn't have to come to Palmer, and in fact, if he had another case in Anchorage court that day he would have been unable to travel to Palmer in person.

Telephonic representation happens for all sorts of reasons, just as often at the convenience of the attorney as for the client. Track is not getting any special treatment.

    1. Batterers have an intense need to control the women they love: The biggest misconception about these guys is that they have "anger management" issues. They don't. They don't blow up at work or at the driver who cuts into their lane. Instead they have an overwhelming need to control their loved one—how she dresses, where she goes and whom she talks to. That's why, before they actually start using physical violence to stay in control, they are often constantly phoning and text messaging the object of their affections so that they know exactly what she is doing at all times.

Jordan Loewe have you ever heard the expression, You hurt the one you love? Well, Sarah Palin's son is deeply in love with you. Just be happy Track didn't love you with cans of corn like his mammy loved his pappy.

    2. Batterers do genuinely love the women they beat up: In fact, they are often obsessively in love with their girlfriends or wives, which makes them even morejealous and controlling—they just don't know the proper way to express it. They most likely grew up in a home where there was violence. Apparently Chris Brown hated when his stepfather beat up his mom.

I DON'T KNOW WHY I EVEN WASTE MY TIME TRYING TO GET NICE THINGS FOR YOU IF YOU'RE JUST GOING TO RUIN THEM

One friend of the Palins’ remembers an argument between Sarah and Todd: “They took all the canned goods out of the pantry, then proceeded to throw them at each other. By the time they got done, the stainless-steel fridge looked like it had got shot up with a shotgun. Todd said, ‘I don’t know why I even waste my time trying to get nice things for you if you’re just going to ruin them.’ ” This friend adds, “As soon as she enters her property and the door closes, even the insects in that house cringe. She has a horrible temper, but she has gotten away with it because she is a pretty woman.”

Jordan it is all your fault you're getting this beatin'. You made provoked me. Now quit cowering under the bed like a pussy and come on out and take your whoopin' like a man.

    3. Batterers actually blame their girlfriends for forcing them to be violent: There's a very good chance that Chris Brown, to this day, blames Rihanna for starting the argument that left him with "no choice" but to attack her. In his mind, she had no right to look at the text message from his manager, Tina Davis. A batterer will tell himself and his girlfriend that SHE provoked the violence by looking at another guy, wearing a skirt that's too short or not cleaning up the kitchen fast enough.

    ReplyDelete

    4. Guy guilt works. Women blame themselves for provoking their boyfriends: They get brainwashed into believing that they've done something wrong—"it was my fault for leading him to think I was cheating." Apparently Rihanna blames herself for inciting Chris and has been terribly worried about how the incident and criminal charges could affect his career

    5. When batterers apologize it's another form of taking control: Guys who beat up their girlfriends can be dramatically remorseful—crying, begging for forgiveness and promising to never become violent again. Flowers and gifts like Rihanna's reported "$50,000 forgiveness" bracelet, can be typical. The apologies can seem so genuine that a battered girlfriend gets completely seduced back into continuing the relationship.

    6. Guys who batter are insecure and have poor impulse control: It's weird. They can seem completely normal and stable at times. At work, they can present themselves as completely nice guys. It's the fear of losing their girlfriend or being unable to control her, that leads to the intense outbursts of rage and violence.

Does Track's court appearance coincide with the Iron Dog? As if Todd has been a big influence in Track's life? Maybe Sarah and the lawyer can handle it alone.

'All of this probably would not have been possible without Sarah Palin. She got the country used to someone on the level of a car show spokesmodel being presidential timber. John McCain is the one who opened the Book of the Dead and let the monsters out. Trump may be their savior, but she was the immaculate misconception. She is beyond parody and beneath contempt. I almost feel bad making fun of her because I think she's on meth or something. I'm not kidding. It's crazy, the way she acts. She looks just like the people we knew in the '80s when they were on coke — just ranting, raving, not finishing sentences, way too overly energetic. That's the guy you couldn't get out of your apartment at 3 a.m. I was that guy a couple of times.'

George W. bush, also too. He is so dumb, every clown in the country thought "Well, if HE did it, so can I" Even the "smart Bush" Jeb. We are finding out just how smart HE really is - not!!

Sarah is going to play the PTSD card and show some papers that Track went treatment. Then, she will provide a doctor's note (Dr.CBJ?) that Track's PTSD is recurring and he will return for more treatment. Thanks so much for understanding, Your Honor, and course this will never happen again.

I kept thinking Alaska had a law that prohibits people convicted of domestic violence from purchasing and possession a gun.

Actually it's a federal law. Here are two links. One of Federal level and one from Alaska State Troopers.

    --------

"Federal law prohibits purchase and possession of firearms and ammunition by persons who have been convicted in any court of a “misdemeanor crime of domestic violence” and/or who are subject to certain domestic violence protective orders.

The federal prohibition that applies to domestic violence misdemeanants was adopted in 1996 and is commonly known as the “Lautenberg Amendment” after its sponsor, the late Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ). It defines a “misdemeanor crime of domestic violence” as an offense that is a federal, state or tribal law misdemeanor and has the use or attempted use of physical force or threatened use of a deadly weapon as an element."

Both state and federal law prohibit a person from possessing a gun if you have a domestic violence restraining order against you.

This may be why they are being so nice to Jordan. Wouldn't want a restraining order to prevent Track from legally possessing all his guns.

There is a lot more at the websites that I didn't understand. About if the conviction for the crime is more than 1 year then the no-possession stuff is triggered (no pun intended).

Anyway, the takeaway is...Track and his ability to possess guns and ammo in the future depend on the outcome of this case.

Expect the Palins to come out fighting. And to be fighting mad that Jordan had the gall, I say the gall, to implicate a Palin in such a dastardly deed.

Is it true Track crashed Todd's truck into their gate? WTF is wrong with Track? Imagine if he was driving down W Parks Hwy and plowed head on into oncoming traffic? Why didn't these people keep their car keys away from the family drunk? By the way way, does Track have his own vehicle? Did he total it while driving drunk?

Will Sarah go to court with no bra and her droopy breasts looking like wet socks on a clothesline?

Or will Sarah wear her push up bra like back in the old day when she was the acting governor dealing with the state legislature?

Judge: We can't send this loser to the National Guard to straighten out his pathetic life, it didn't work last time. What are we going to do with you? Okay the court has made its decision. Sarah Palin you will stay home in Wasilla and help Track recover from his years of drinking.

Sarah: WHAT? I'm due back on the campaign trail tonight. TeamTrump needs me. Do you have any other options like locking that drunk up?
