Sarah Palin's Arizona house going, going, nope still not going.

So as we all know Palin put her Arizona "get the hell away from Todd" house on the market in January of this year for a whopping 2.499 million.

I'm sure at the time she thought her "celebrity" status would help it sell quickly and since she only purchased the house for 1.695 million that she would pocket a tidy profit off of her investment.

But no such luck.

So now, and with snowmachine accidents,  child custody cases, and assault convictions draining her resources, Palin has reduced the price to 2.375 million. A reduction of $124,000.

So will it sell at this lower price?

Beats me, but has anything really gone her way lately?

ironic thing is there was recently an article in Anchorage Daily News ( AK Dispatch ) about a red light runner in downtown Anchorage, totally blowing a stoplight and T-boning a vehicle proceeding through the intersection. The whole thing was caught on somebody's dashcam.
And in the comment section somebody made mention of how badly we needed photo radar back up here. Of course that comment was followed by some mouth breather claiming it was the *libruls* who had the program yanked.

Said mouth breather was quickly shotdown by comments stating it was his ilk that had it shutdown - you know, *murika* - *i'm trashin' this ticket unless a badged officer of the law hands it to me*

It's kind of funny because where my parents now live in CA they paid over $900,000 for a "fixer upper" on a lot measured in square feet, rather than acres, and it is only 2200 square feet built in the 60's and they spent 180,000 on updating and remodeling.

In that regard this pile is quite the deal at 2.4, except it needs about 300 grand in upgrades, but still that could be a lot of nice house for not a bad price in many areas of this country and Canada, California, Seattle, and Vancouver area in Canada, to mention a few places with even moderately sized homes going for over a million bucks, although at the Palin place you can't go outside for half the year because it's too hot!

Why is nobody asking Troopers for a copy of report if they were called and if they were, why was the report not posted in the daily online reports?

      Delete
    6. Anonymous1:19 PM

      11:51am

Todd, being so critically injured, was transported by Talkeetna EMS to the hospital before Troopers could reach the scene, not that Trooper's would necessarily be involved in a single-person snow machine incident, therefore there would be no photos of machine or scene of accident.

Now if there were two snow machines or snow machine and car involved, the Troopers may have followed up on it in order to establish legal liability in reference to the accident.

There is no longer an AST post near Talkeetna, and if you have a dude who's half dead and needed critical medical care because he wrecked his snow machine, medical care supersedes investigation into the cause of the accident.

Even if he was drunk the EMS or hospital would only test him for BAC as pertaining to complications with any drugs they may be administering and unfortunately unless AST tested him he will not be charged with DUI.

I think that it's obvious he was under influence and wrecked, as stated by his father saying "I hope he's learned his lesson".

      Delete
    7. The official story is "found helpless in the wreck of his snowmobile," isn't it? So the question would be, why this accident happened. Considering that his snowmobile was probably insured, and that it's pretty standard practice to do so, I'd bet that a screening panel for alcohol/drugs would have been done- they'd have been drawing basic labs anyway. Of course, the results are protected by HIPAA, so unless Sarah announces that he had no drugs or alcohol when he was screened on arrival to the hospital, we won't know which drugs and how much alcohol. (Because she's dumb enough to bring up a subject out of thin air, which means the opposite of what she is saying is true. "No drugs or alcohol" from her would naturally mean Tawd DID have substances, licit and not, in his system.

Because she can't figure out how to disguise her lies.

She's stuck with a house that she paid too much for, in cash, and then stupidly sunk a bunch of money into a basketball court that totally ruins the aesthetic of the property. It's outdated and in need of a total remodel inside to bring it into this century.

A person could build a similar home in that area, a modern new home, for less than half what she's asking.

I'm sure she still has a bit of her book and speaking money left but still, having all that cash tied up in a home that isn't selling, after having sunk a bunch of money into that ugly basketball court, while having to pay property tax on it, is not an ideal situation.

She 'bought' it via an LLC, not all cash. The defaulting previous owner had the backyard 'improvements' (gag) in the works and she and her LLC attorney likely 'negotiated' with the various original contractors on the project to complete the work for a much reduced price. They could keep any retainers/deposits received from the previous owners and try to salvage a few bucks from their now zero-profit defaulted contracts.

I'm in the crowd who believes this property was purchased solely as the beginnings of the fantasy of $arah establishing residency to run for office in AZ.

She saw there was a loud right-wing fringe in the state and thought she could buffalo them the way she did the citizens of more rural AK. She failed to do her demographics big time or she would have discovered the big-city money Rs in AZ don't cotton to condescending tirades delivered in faux folksy screech. To them she was never more than another snowbird with a carpet-bagging agenda. Doubt McCain was also no longer inclined to smooth her path to glory.

Sarah Palin, Ben Carson being blacklisted?

On Friday, Amanda Carpenter, a former speech writer for Sen. Jim Demint, R-S.C., and a former communications director for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, produced a list of conservative and Republican office holders she said needs to be "blacklisted" for endorsing GOP front-runner Donald Trump, the candidate who called her an "idiot" in January. The fairly lengthy list includes former GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, both of whom have endorsed Trump.

"It’s time to make a list," she wrote at Conservative Review. "A list of those so-called conservatives and Republicans endorsing Donald Trump, the megalomaniac who regularly threatens his opponents and the press, raves about making members of our military adopt ISIS-like tactics, has funded Obamacare and Gang of Eight Democrats, promises to forcibly relocate American companies to his liking, and has demonstrated again and again he intends to govern as a tyrannical King rather than a President."

Wow, Sarah's buddy is so sneaky:

In the 1980s, when reporters called the Trump Organization to request an interview with the boss, they were sometimes referred to a spokesman, instead. That a busy and image-conscious executive such as Donald Trump would place a buffer between himself and the media was hardly unusual, but there was a twist: The spokesman, John Barron, was actually Trump, hiding behind a fake name.

Well now, the house is a rather basic big, box mansion. Nothing special but big with lots of areas. But it is in the middle of horse county and not that type of pool and sport court area. When they have one of those huge dust storms it must blow up horse dirt around there big time. Also, horse flies and barn smell would be nothing to the scorpions and rattlers that move into a property that isn't occupied.

The thing that stands out is the decor that looks like a quick trip to the Hobby Lobby for accessories and "art." The furniture doesn't stage a house in that price range at all well. That is pure Palin.

Just sold a house, not quite that price range, but not cheap either. Once a listing is "tale" if you keep dropping the price, the buyers know you are desperate and will low-ball their offers. Knowing what she paid for it, they will likely offer her her money out of it, or less.

I find it odd that the listing describes the property as an 'equestrian estate', yet there is nowhere to stable a horse.

She obviously didn't put much thought into the purchase of the house--she is surrounded by properties which have horses on them. There's a hunter/jumper stable two doors down, and the place right next door also looks to be a hunter/jumper stable.

Now, I love horses (I own five of them), but it's not everyone's cup of tea, and I would imagine that Mrs Palin probably did not really enjoy being around all those horses. Plus, her daughters would have had NOTHING in common with the clients of the stables.

O/T Finally, now is Trump going to have a temper tantrum and ban the press or refuse to speak to them? There goes his free air time.

    ---------

Chuck Todd Bans Trump Phone Interviews From Meet The Press As Media Backlash Grows

Donald Trump will no longer be allowed to phone in to NBC’s Meet The Press. If Trump wants free media coverage on the Sunday show, he will now be forced to appear on camera in person.

Jim Ruttenberg of The New York Times reported, “On Friday, Chuck Todd, the moderator of “Meet the Press,” told me he had only grudgingly allowed Mr. Trump to call in to his show earlier in the campaign, determining that he would rather have Mr. Trump take questions via phone than not at all. Now, Mr. Todd said, he will no longer allow Mr. Trump to do prescheduled interviews by phone on the NBC program.”

Todd was following the lead of Chris Wallace and Fox News Sunday, which was the first Sunday show to ban the Trump phone in interview. Trump has gotten an estimated $1.8 billion in free media from doing nothing more than sitting on his backside and talking on the phone.

The phone interviews allowed Trump to blanket the Sunday shows without having to show up and face questions on camera. The phone interviews have also almost always been worthless garbage that was completely devoid of journalism and news value. Trump has been easily able to dodge questions and steer the conversation on the phone. The Republican frontrunner has struggled the most when he has been forced to sit down and answer questions on camera.

The corporate press has been shamed by several reports about the deals that they cut with Trump that allow him to dictate their coverage and the exposing of the discrepancy in the amount of free coverage that he has received in comparison to the other presidential candidates.

The media has helped to build Donald Trump, and as voters reject the possible Republican nominee, the media is distancing itself from their role in potentially handing a hatemonger the Republican presidential nomination.

I've said it before, will say it again. The Palin's tribulations with Trig are only just beginning. DS kids are usually pleasant and easy to control. But they grow up. When a DS child reaches puberty and the hormones start to kick in, they'll need to watch him around little girls. Hard to say but true.

      Then, when he's in his 20's and full-grown . . .

I'm an EMT in rural Virginia. Two of the families we and the sheriff visit often are older couples with DS children who are 40-50 years old. They attack their parents, break things, set fires in the house and garage -- don't necessarily intend to do it . . .

By the time Trig is 20, Sarah and Todd will be in their mid-60's; Bristol and Track will be in their 40's . . . who will wrestle with Trig?

Elizabeth Warren Just Went Straight Savage On Donald Trump And It's Everything We've Ever Wanted

Let’s be honest – Donald Trump is a loser. Count all his failed businesses. See how he kept his father’s empire afloat by cheating people with scams like TrumpUniversity and by using strategic corporate bankruptcy (excuse me, bankruptcies) to skip out on debt. Listen to the experts who’ve concluded he’s so bad at business that he might have more money today if he’d put his entire inheritance into an index fund and just left it alone.

Trump seems to know he’s a loser. His embarrassing insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, and flagrant narcissism. But just because Trump is a loser everywhere else doesn’t mean he’ll lose this election. People have been underestimating his campaign for nearly a year – and it’s time to wake up.....

In January he was saying Ivanka was due in two weeks, so by Feb. 8, and he's been using that baby-at-any-minute line for months and thinking it should somehow affect the election.

I wish the network hadn't cut out so soon after the last question. Trump had forgotten to say something and was now trying to grab people's interest in it, whatever it was. Did you catch what he was saying?

I've always thought the "Look at Me Google Satellite" basketball court was ridiculous.

How much do you think it cost? $150,000?

How often have we EVER heard of a Palin playing BBall, except for Sara's high school lies of being state champ, and Piper playing middle school ball.

It tends to be close to 100 degrees there, so how often do you think non-motivated Palins got out and played ball?

Maybe 10 times total? That works out to $15,000 per play.

    Real smart financial investment.

Shows that a fool and their money are soon parted. They like shiny things, but don't think through the decisions.

How many other people in Arizona have fancy BBall courts? I'm guessing not many.

It's called Research (into the area) and Reality (something all Palins and especially Sara has trouble with).

White Trash got some money and is blowing through it just like lottery winners.

Exactly what I was thinking. They had a windfall and flippantly decided to put in a basketball court despite the weather being very hot for most of the year and its true none of them are the outdoor sport types. It's kind of like a lottery winner who decides their first thing to buy is Rolls Royce. Whoever may buy it will most likely want to have it removed and that will be a big job - construction equipment needing to get in there causing a big mess not to mention the expense. I'll bet they used it less than even 10 times. That house is going to be on the market a long time.

    12:17 Booger Eater?
    Seriously?
You are all of 8 years old, right?
It is no wonder that all of the thoughtful, intelligent people who used to comment on this blog jumped ship long ago.
My god. After all of these years of hanging in here; to be equated with the likes of you.

12:54 PM So you admit that you are not included with the thoughtful, intelligent people jumped ship long ago? What do you consider yourself since you still comment here? Do you consider yourself better than others who comment here? Get over yourself.

It's just humor. Not every comment has to be an intellectual debate and that's why I still read this blog we may not agree on everything but we can voice our opinions. Even the Palin defenders can. Unlike C4P where they are deleted we can ignore them or give a response.

I don't think the people who voice their opinion here should be made to feel that it was a bad choice to post here. We don't know each other. It's not personal.

Hey, go back to the "other blog" where you can boss people around and they'll take it, oh wait people DON'T take it and you end up driving every decent commenter away and over to this blog...Nevermind.

Still we don't want your opinionated drivel over here, shoo!

  53. Nobody wants that cursed property. She'd probably added that tacky basketball court thinking some rapper or sportsman would buy it.

It's a huge monster that she will be selling at a lost because it is draining her short funds.

Sarah's going to have to do more than respond on Facebook to a slight from a nobody like Amanda Carpenter. I need to see a Palin do something bizarrely stupid, it's been at least three days without a good belly laugh at them.

I know I warned Bristol to stop publishing pictures of her house or she'd be looking for a new one, but there is still plenty of room for ill-advised ugly face-pulling and child exploitation.

Trump will never be president, which means
granny Palin will not have a job.
She could go on QVC and sell jewelry and
crosses made out of moose bones .
How about an auctioneer . No one understands them anyway. She would fit right in!

That is some fugly piece of property.

I have a small house built in the 1930's on 1/4 acre that is more appealing. Large trees, peaceful area, moderate weather... and 1/20th the price.

I doubt it will sell for what she paid for it. It has palin slime on it, and ya can't scrub that off. Doubt it can be removed by exorcism either.

I'd hate to be the sucker who buys that catastrophe. First rule, Have it processed with luminol, fingerprinted, etc... have it de skanked with hazmat suits, rip up the fake grass, the wall to wall carpeting, put everything new in, including bath fixtures. But these idiots always buy at the height of the market, then dump it at a loss. What's the rush? Kids going to school?
A normal person would wait for the market to rebound, even in Scottsdale, then sell. They do everything ass backward. Bristol bought high, sold at a loss in Arizona, what makes them think someone would pay more because of their last name? The place looks like a fricking hospital with the trampolines missing.
