John Boehner refers to Ted Cruz as "Lucifer in the flesh" and calls him "a miserable son-of-a-bitch." Update!

Courtesy of CBS News:

John Boehner sounded off a litany of insults for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz Wednesday night, labelling the Texas senator "Lucifer in the flesh" and a "miserable son of a bitch."

"I have Democrat friends and Republican friends," the former House speaker said during a frank on-stage discussion at Stanford University Wednesday. "I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life."

Hard to argue with those characterizations.

My favorite part of this story is Cruz's response to Boehner's words.

"The truth of the matter is -- I don't know the man," Cruz said at a press conference in Indiana. "I've met John Boehner two or three times in my life. If I have said 50 words in my life to John Boehner I'd be surprised, and every one of them has consisted of pleasantries."

I actually heard Cruz give this response on video and yes it was just as whiny and butt hurt as it appears in print.

Of course the problem for Cruz is that every other person who worked with him in the Senate has a similar opinion.

Remember that before Lindsey Graham became so freaked out about Donald Trump's nomination that he ran screaming into Ted Cruz's arms, he once said this about him:

"If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you."

Even the Republican money men who are panicky about a Trump nomination cannot bring themselves to give Cruz any money to stop him.

Personally I really don't need for John Boehner or Lindsey Graham to explain to me why Ted Cruz is a disgusting SOB. That fact is glaringly obvious every time I see him on my TV screen.

Update: I actually wrote this post fairly early in the day yesterday to be robo-posted this morning.

Since that time this story has received quite a lot of additional attention.

In fact the Satanists have also now had the opportunity to chime in:

Boehner’s comment is illustrative of how well past time it is to adjust our mythologies to reflect our realities. Cruz’s failures of reason, compassion, decency, and humanity are products of his Christian pandering, if not an actual Christian faith. It grows tedious when pedophile priests and loathsome politicians are conveniently dismissed as Satanic, even as they spew biblical verse and prostrate themselves before the cross, recruiting the Christian faithful. Satanists will have nothing to do with any of them.

Just when you thought that Ted Cruz could not be dissed any harder. Now it is even an insult to Satan for him to be compared to Satan.

Don't you love how he insulted every Democratic person in the nation? IF Boehner had any friends across the aisle,he would not refer to them as 'my Democrat friends.' Once an ass, always an ass.

6:46 - it's the deliberate refusal to use the adjective form of "Democratic," a tradition started by Rush Limbaugh.

Democrat as opposed to democratic. Repubs like the fact democrat ends with "rat".

  2. ""The truth of the matter is -- I don't know the man," Cruz said..." Truth of the matter is that Ted Cruz was John Boehner's attorney at one time. I wonder if Cruz's memory could be jogged with that piece of info. Maybe Ted actually didn't speak to Boehner as long as he was his attorney. In that case, I think Boehner has grounds to sue for mal-practice. A-hahahahahahahaha

OT-The group – known as Gippeumjo, or ‘pleasure squads’ – was first introduced by Kim Il-sung, the founder of North Korea. It is believed some of the girls are as young as 13 or 14 and are examined by a doctor to check whether or not they are still virgins. "

I wish this kind of insanity garnered the constant mainstream media attention it deserves. I wish Americans, especially politicians, would get riled up and hostile over this sick shit.

He must be an ironclad sociopath when everyone so vocally trashes him and obviously despises him. Just think of how little cooperation he would get from Congress if he were to be elected. We have had bad Presidents before but he would absolutely be the worst.

Is Cruz really any different than say Boehner, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, etc.? I don't think so!

I sense something about Cruz. No I can't say exactly what. But I think you know what I mean.

It's a creepy feeling. An evil. A bad. Sinister. Soulless. When somebody puts a 'not good' tingle up my spine, it's not good.

The Democrats just voted to allow Wall Street to take more of your retirement money. No post about that? Hillary agreed. What a bunch of scum bags.

Actually yes that is true there was an article on Huffington Post about it - they did pass a bill that would protect retirement funds (forcing the rich companies to actually HELP the folks and not swindle them out of their money and take high risks) - but it was a Republican block to not pass the bill - I don't have time to look up Hilary's stand on it (I'm at work)

    5. I believe the HOUSE under the leadership of Paul "Lyin'" Ryan did that and last I checked, the HOUSE was majority Republican.

The REPUBLICANS in the HOUSE blocked a bill that would require those administering retirement accounts to work for the benefit of the retirees whose money they manage. Good faith sort of thing.

The Republicans didn't like that and have blocked it.

      But thanks for playing.

I don't know. I always felt sorry for the guy--he seemed like a reasonable enough politician drowning in the tea party maelstrom.

Besides, President Obama kind of likes the guy. That's a good enough judge of character for me.

Boehner is also an asshole politician! He retired from the U.S. Congress because he could not get the majority to go along with him - i.e. follow his lead!

I never liked the man! Always appeared so polished when he was also known to be a huge boozer! A fine Catholic man he was/is not!

Seems like they are demonizing Cruz so that Trump can waltz into the nomination. I see them all sitting around Trump's living room hatching up this grandiose plan. Take down Cruz by any means, then work on Hillary. Sander's wife saying what she said about the fbi and Hillary is just the precurser. How many men and women will it take to bring down Hillary? I just knew the man world would make it hard on her. The old white man in suit and tie days does not want its reign to end. Never noticed America so much as this year as being the country with a stick up its' ass. Donald Trump is a mouthy man and worst he's a billionare who's convinced millions that he's not like the establishment. He is the establishment! I guess his downtrodden followers are blind to that and Donald will surely wake them up and help them smell the roses if he gets elected with the mob mentality that's taking place now. We can't fix it folks unless we are working together. Don't let one man convince you that he will be your savior. Hitler tried it. Didn't win him any favors with history.

    1. I don't think Böhner is for Trump. I think between Trump and Cruz he'd rather see Trump in office. (Which shows how poor his judgement has become). But in truth I think he doesn't want either of them to win. Between the three I think he'd rather see Kasich in Office. Or Paul Ryan. I think he's praying for a brokered convention to rid him of these troublesome candidates.

I saw the clip when Boehner was saying it and parts were difficult to make out, but the update is spot on. Thanks, Gryphen. I can imagine Cruz whining, pissing and moaning that the former speaker put him in his place. I never thought I'd say this, but I never thought much of Boehner, now I have a shred of respect for him.
