New poll shows that Alaskans are pretty happy with their elected officials, but REALLY do not like Sarah Palin.

Courtesy of Alaska Dispatch:

New polling shows that Alaskans are generally happy with their current elected officials; that U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who is up for reelection this year, has an edge over two potential primary opponents; and that most Alaskans just don't like former Gov. Sarah Palin.

A look back at quarterly polls since 2010 by Alaska Survey Research shows a trend of generally positive views held by Alaskans about their congressional delegation and Gov. Bill Walker, though Rep. Don Young’s support has waned a bit over time.

The article goes on to say that most Alaskans consider themselves moderate, while just over thirty percent consider themselves conservative, and about twenty percent self identify as progressives.

The poll also shows why it is very unlikely that Lisa Murkowski is going anyplace soon:

Nearly half of self-identified voters polled in March said they have a “very positive” or “somewhat positive” view of Murkowski, compared to 26.7 percent who had a somewhat or very negative view about her. Less than five percent of those polled weren’t sure who she is and 19.5 percent had a neutral view of her.

However Don Young might finally find himself in dangerous waters as his positives and negatives are both at 37%, and his negatives have been drifting down for some time now.

Of course none of these results are anywhere near as bad as the poll numbers tracked fro Sarah Palin.

Alaskans polled last month didn’t think too highly of former Gov. Sarah Palin:

56.4 percent had a negative opinion of her. Just 23.8 percent of those polled said they had a positive opinion of her -- only 7.9 percent “very positive.”

Compared to quarterly polling in which Alaska Survey Research asked about Palin in 2010 and 2011, her negative ratings have stayed high -- around 50 percent, and her positive ratings have dropped from a high of around 42 percent. In 2010 and 2011, zero people polled said they didn’t know who she is -- a figure that rose to 2.2 percent in the latest poll.

This is why Alaskans simply laugh whenever some dimwit from out of state suggests that Palin might run for office up here.

Even SHE is not dumb enough to think that she would have a snowball's chance in Hell of actually winning an election. Certainly not up here at least.

So to sum up it appears that we are stuck with Murkowski for the time being, Don Young is on shaky ground, and Sarah Palin is dead in the water.

She wouldn't fare better much better in the lower 48. There's a reason that she's not stumping for Trump down here!

Sarah Palin is a universal laughingstock, and her daughter is following in her footsteps. People can't stand them with their uneducated dumb pathetic asses.

      >>Sarah Palin is a universal laughingstock,

Tina Fey was on Graham Norton's show and it came up about her SNL character of Sarah. The guests and the audience were howling. She was being mocked, ridiculed and it was so obvious that Brits see only a joke in her. It was so obvious and so satisfying to see and hear. Yep, she is utter trash and the world is witness to it.

What do you mean Alaska doesn't like Sarah Palin?

Our former Gov Sarah Palin and Bristol stumped their hearts out and held rallies all around Alaska for Donald Trump which paid off for Donald because Sarah and Bristol brought Alaska home to Donald's side and he won Alaska. Need I say anymore?

What do you mean Donald Trump lost in Alaska?

What do you mean Sarah Palin was hiding instead of holding rallies in Alaska for Donald Trump?

Oh, ignore what I said. I guess we hate Sarah Palin's ass up here in Alaska?

How do they like him this week since he came out in favor of changing the republican platform to include abortion exemptions for rape, incest, and health of the mother? And then he said that the bathroom law against transgenders is a bad idea.

Where did that winsome duo appear in the Kenai peninsula, Kodiak, Fairbanks, western Alaska, the Aleutians, Northern Alaska, or Southeast? Or do you have some other meaning for "all around alaska"??

Check the records folks! Palin came out for Ted Cruz first and then switched to Donald Trump when she saw he was drawing bigger numbers nationally.

Cruz actually won Alaska and not Trump! That fact has been on the national news!

I've noticed Sarah Palin holds rallies in the lower 48 where people don't know her. In the past her lower 48 followers financially supported Sarah's SarahPac because of her looks but now as she starts to rapidly age faster and looks like her mother, Sarah's SarahPac took a financial nosedive.

SarahPAC has definitely taken a nosedive.

We are in a presidential election year and SarahPAC is taking in less money than it ever has. In the first quarter of this year, SarahPAC took in a measly $135,000, putting her on track to rake in just over $500,000. In 2010, she was raking in millions per year.

    Twistypants Palin. Always walking around
with her granny pants in a twist about something. Even her face has a now, hard,
    twisted look. Ugly soul inside.

Alaskans, in general, aren't known for their political insight. If the elected hasn't overtly screwed them personally, they will drift with the complacent tide.

That's why AK is for the first time talking seriously about state income tax, state sales tax, and if that doesn't fill the holes in the budget, taking 1/2 the perm fund.

Tho other states have state income taxes, Alaskans abhor the thought.

I so agree, 8:04 AM! Look who Alaskans have voted for - Sullivan - former Mayor of Anchorage; Don Young, Congressman for way too long; Lisa Murkowski of the 'do nothing' and obstructionist Congress; and Fairclough of Eagle River - Alaska Legislature - just for starters!

What's even better - anytime the ADN does a Palin story (always grabbed from another source; none of the ADN reporters bother to cover anything PayMe) the comments run 100% against and lots ask the ADN to please not run anything about the PayMe clan ever. Bwahahahahahah

  9. So Lisa's favorability poll numbers mean she can't be beaten, but Hillary's unfavorability numbers don't mean anything?

That's right. For one thing she's much lower than the donald, and her ratings are good with women, minorities, older people, and they will be with younger people as they can't stand momma pants Drumpf. Anyway, go watch her take on the whole benghazi committee and their grandstanding for 11 hours. Cream rises and most people know that the charges against her by the republicans are bogus.

And Sarah, you can take your Climate Hustle crap and shove it. As usual, you are actively supporting the unsupportable.

Major Corporations and Trillion Dollar Investors Join Obama’s Climate Change Battle

...If Americans had not elected Barack Obama in 2008, there would have been no action on the climate or environmental protections over the past seven-and-a-half years. Fortunately, the President’s activism on climate change has produced results at home and abroad, and none were more important than America’s involvement in the Paris Climate Agreement that Republicans are still opposing like it is deadly plague. Now there is incredibly good news that President Obama is no longer waging a one-man-battle against Republicans and the Kochs’ seemingly never-ending supply of money.

As the Paris Agreement is put into action after its official signing by 150 nations late last week, news is emerging that there is a veritable army of extremely wealthy American investors, companies, and major corporations calling for immediate support for the Paris accord and a shift away from burning fossil fuels. In fact, according to the head of policy at We Mean Business, a group of investors and companies sitting on trillions of dollars, Edward Cameron said “For the first time, we’re seeing a genuinely changed landscape for the private sector. What we see now is growing momentum out of Paris urging a shift away from burning fossil fuels.”

I think this is all hype about Murkowski. They probably called all voters registered as Republicans in Alaska for the most recent poll! They assuredly didn't call me because I would have told them there is no way in Hell I'd ever vote for Murkowski (or Don Young!).

Murkowski almost lost last go around. She's not smart - flunked her test numerous times to become an attorney - her Dad appointed her to the position she holds.

Check how she votes in Congress folks, before you vote for her to be reelected to the U.S. Congress! She says one thing publically and then votes completely the opposite!

Good God Almighty! McConnell (U.S. Congress - Kentucky) loves her! That's nothing to be proud of in my mind - he's the man who so badly wanted to bring down President Obama, the 'first' time he was elected and led the obstruction fight! Lisa Murkowski was a part of that and a part of the most 'do nothing' Congress in history!

She has NOT represented Alaska well at all and has not earned our vote!

"Nearly half of self-identified voters polled in March said they have a “very positive” or “somewhat positive” view of Murkowski"

'Nearly half' sounds beatable to me if there's a worthy Democratic opponent and media coverage forces AKns to pay a little attention to the election.

Lisa has to win the primary first. Last time she did not.

She won't get any support from Democrats this time round after she made it obvious that she's really just your average lying wingnut.

Democrats voting for the Democrat, that would be a nice change- especially if you're only going to get a nothing like Dan Sullivan in the end anyway.

It is never a good sign, when the people who know you the best like you the least. I saw the exact same thing with the NPD queen I've dealt with for years in my professional career.
On the flip side of that coin, I figure it is a credit to both Sanders and Kasich that they remain so popular in their home states (and neither is my own favorite candidate at the moment.)

I'll never forget the Quitter's obsession with her popularity polls in Alaska while balancing two phones and a DS Prop while doin' all that hard work reading words on index cards and stuff.
My, how the flighty have fallen!!!! She couldn't get elected dog catcher, but, perhaps she could use her talents with guns by tranquilizing and tracking Polar Bear populations because of global warming.
Add someone sipping a shake, and you got a reality show I'd watch.
