Donald Trump's new anti-Hillary ad. "Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi!"

A video posted by Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) on
Of course what Trump and his fellow conservatives fail to recognize is that is there were a lot of people originally convinced that the attacks in Benghazi were the result of that video "Innocence of Muslims." Which made perfect sense because it had inspired protests and attacks all over the Middle East.

This is not all Trump has in his bag of tricks. He is also planning on inviting the women who accused Bill Clinton of sleeping with them, sexually assaulting them, or raping them to campaign with him.

There is "ugly," and there is "Donald Trump ugly," and this is going to get all kinds of "Donald Trump ugly."

    @Beaglemom

You seem respected around these parts for your informed opinion and political acumen. There's a new reply to one of your comments on the Ed Rendell hosts the convention thread that you may not have seen. While there remember what you said earlier on that same thread:

Wow, when people become Sanders' supporters they seem to forget history and forego the real world.

    Pot, meet kettle.

    ---------------------------
I just can't see this working well for Trump. Everyone already knows Bill was unfaithful. As for the sexual assault or rape accusations, those are either old, already hashed out stories, or if they are recent, the timing will be suspicious.

Even if they are true, the blame is on Bill, not Hillary.

If he pursues the accusations that Hillary was mean or vindictive against women her husband had affairs with, I think most people would consider that a regrettable but personally understandable reaction on her part.

Trying to portray her as complicit in covering up rapes and assaults with no evidence or proof I think will backfire.

At some point, Trump will have to address issues, not just keep saying "Hillary's a bitch, so elect me."

As a woman, I think my reaction would be if Trump thinks Bill Clinton raped or assaulted women, he and the women should be talking to the police and trying to prosecute Bill. Using his (alleged) crimes to attack his wife? That wouldn't sit well with me.

I am sure most of these women will show up, as long as they are PAID. Many of them rode their 15 minutes to the hilt. I doubt that Bill had to rape any of them, willing participants all of them. Maybe tRump is trying to project HIS own history with females onto Bill? I wonder how much Malaria cost him?

The rightwing has thrown countless dollars at women to get them coached and "purtied up" to make good wailing "victims" of Bill Clinton. Fact is that all that time, effort, and money spent has led to nothing. Because there's no story. Interesting that every rightwinger that's gone after Bill Clinton has been convicted of sex crimes against children (Hastert) and women (Gingrich).

    4. Anonymous7:46 AM

What the right wing missed before, and they (evidently) will miss again is that this works to humanize Hillary; many other women in the world held their families together after marital cheating, and sometimes their children know it. It did not work before and it won't work now.

I'm one that maintained my marriage when there were two affairs!

Each married couple handles things - in their own way - to include Bill and Hillary Clinton.

      I say 'good for them'!!!

Bottom line is that most men will screw around on their wives - especially mid age. It's a fact and can be forgiven and handled. Just look around you - most men do it and there are many women in the same category as well!

      Delete
    7. Anonymous11:15 AM

I don't believe that Bill Clinton EVER had to rape anyone!

Back in the day he was physically attractive, had/has a great personality, is talented and charming and had a healthy enough marriage w/Hillary to work through their problems and maintain their marriage all these years.

Most men cheat that are married! Get over it America!

Plus, it's been proven that many, many past POTUSs have cheated or carried on an affair with a specific woman for years during their presidency!

The toxic political legacy of ‘The Apprentice’

...The Apprentice has become a training cell for politically toxic ideas.

Let’s start with the head of the snake. The Apprentice was created by NBC and Mark Burnett Productions in 2004 as a vehicle for Donald Trump . At that stage in his life, Trump was a circus clown on the slide, whose businesses had gone bankrupt four times . He was a product of a bygone age ; an age of hairspray and Filofaxes and breezeblock-sized mobile phones. The man was a relic, lost at sea in a world he could no longer hope to understand. Just look at all his failed ventures from that decade . Trump Steaks. Trump Vodka. Trump Magazine. Trump: The Game. GoTrump.com. Each and every one of them the dismal, drain-circling spasm of a man desperately trying to stay relevant.

But The Apprentice papered over these cracks. It allowed him to appear on TV and wear a suit and jab his finger a lot. The Apprentice turned Donald Trump into a towering figurehead of authority. Even though he was appearing on a reality show – the sort of idiotic, ground-level piecemeal gig that no billionaire in their right mind would ever touch with a bargepole – people started investing in the Trump myth. And now he is the presumptive Republican candidate in a real-life general election. Without The Apprentice, failed boardgame salesman . With The Apprentice, the almost-leader of the free world.

Here’s the Real Reason Everybody Thought Trump Would Lose

...The 2006 movie Idiocracy depicts a future in which Americans have grown progressively dumber, and eventually elect as president of the United States a professional wrestler, who caters demagogically to their nationalistic impulses and ignorance of science. Only because the film took place in an imaginary world was it possible to straightforwardly equate a political choice with a lack of intelligence. In the actual world, the bounds of taste and deference to (small-d) democratic outcomes make it gauche to do so. But the dynamic imagined in Idiocracy has obviously transpired, down to the election of a figure from pro wrestling:

His impressive run is all the more impressive when you consider that he, too, was an independent that voted with the Democrats only a year ago. A guy who's been in the party for about 12 months has won more Democratic delegates than anyone not named Clinton, Gore, Obama or Kerry in the past 25 years. And he can thank other Democrat-voting independents for that distinction.

As forces in both major parties have begun to mobilize against a Trump presidency, a new national poll out Tuesday reveals the most surefire way to derail the GOP frontrunner: Nominate Bernie Sanders.

The NBC News/SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll found that if the 2016 presidential election were held today, 53 to 40 percent of voters would elect Sanders over Donald Trump—which is more than double the margin that Hillary Clinton holds over the presumptive Republican nominee.

According to the survey, which was conducted online from May 2 through May 8, the former secretary of state also leads Trump, but with a far smaller margin: 49 to 44 percent, with an error estimate of plus or minus 1.3 percentage points.

As soon as the GOP starts on Bernie with opposition research about taxes alone, not even bothering to mention his praise of Castro and other dictators, he'd be finished. NOBODY wants their taxes to go up and they won't take the chance with Bernie's numbers that have been panned by many economists. Several have said it would end up costing 3X as much to do what Sanders wants. These polls showing him ahead of Hillary don't take into account the fact that the GOP has been running against Hillary for 25 years and haven't said a single negative thing about Bernie during the primaries. They are meaningless at this time.

I heard a wild theory on CNN last night-- that Bernie could be Hillary's secret weapon who will go after Trump in a major way, starting in the fall. I wonder if that's true? It was during the 9-10 pm show.

Everything Donald does is in such extremely bad taste, but the Clinton mistress thing did make me smile a little bit.

Donald Trump is 'sleazy' and I'll join him!

Someone needs to cut off his 'little'
tallywacker. I know he's hiding many things and his little dick strikes me as being the main thing! Cover-up Donald should be how he is referred! I want to see his income tax returns and a current, audited financial statement!

The guy is a total jerk and needs to be brought down and his evil mouth shut! He is absolutely horrible for the United States of America and is being scorned throughout the country and world!

Clinton and her team have made a point of not describing the FBI's work as an "investigation," but alternately as a "security review" or "security inquiry." They've also noted that the issue was referred to the FBI not as a criminal matter but as an intelligence breach.

However, in response to a question Wednesday, Comey said he wasn't familiar with the term "security inquiry" that Clinton and her aides have used. The FBI chief said he considers the work agents are doing to be an "investigation."

"It's in our name. I'm not familiar with the term 'security inquiry'," the director said.

I feel like Repulicans are the anal retentive type A personalities like the guy in the first Ghost Busters that shut down the Ghost machine that allowed all that chaos, and the Democrats are like those people in that movie Mars Attack who keep trying to make peace with those little evil Martians. And Donald Trump is the leader of the invaders. Maybe if we play some old folk music his head will explode.

He's in another bitchfest with Liz Warren, wanna wager who's winning? Yeah, Trump, show your taxes, no excuses, but I have one question to a serial philanderer. If you hate Bill so much, why invite him and his wife to your wedding? Hypocrite Much?
No one's holding Bill's actions against Hillary, except for you. Why is that? At the very least, he stood like a man, worked hard to keep his marriage intact and family together. When was the last time YOU did anything close? Be careful what you wish for, there's plenty of cockroaches in your houses, and I'm sure Hillary has them on speed dial. My money's on Marla Maples to blow the lid under that bad toupee of yours.
