Elizabeth Warren may turn out to be Hillary Clinton's most effective surrogate in 2016.

The Daily Kos recently gathered a few recent Warren quotes concerning Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Here they are:

  • “Donald Trump clearly feels threatened by Secretary Clinton’s qualifications to be president so he’s attacking Hillary Clinton for being a woman”
  • “That’s what weak men do.”
  • It is an old story, and I don’t think the American voters will fall for it.”
  • “I hoped you were going to ask me if I thought he was a sexist,” Warren said. “That’s like asking if he has bad hair,” she said. “He wears the sexism out front for everyone to see.”
  • “We need someone in the White House who isn’t afraid to fight for equal rights for women,” said Warren. “That person is not Donald Trump.”
I have to say that I enjoy the fact that Elizabeth Warren appears to be so scholarly and refined but when somebody starts throwing elbows she is more than willing to jump into the scrum.

Now I'm not going to bore you once again with my fantasy ticket (Clinton/Warren 2016) but I would like to say that no matter who Hillary picks (Hills and Liz 2016) that I think she will find Elizabeth Warren to be an effective and willing advocate for her campaign (Clinton and Warren, because haven't the men screwed things up enough?) moving forward.

And hopefully this will finally shut up those idiots trying to convince everybody that there is animosity between Hillary and Elizabeth, when Warren has said repeatedly expressed her admiration for Clinton.

Love EW. Her time will come. It's hard enough in this country, with half of it being so backwards and unevolved, to get a female elected pres--if Warren were on as veep I really think the race would tighten because all the sexists and subordinate women of the country would really feel the need to go vote for Trump. I'm so looking forward to seeing support from our best Dems on the campaign trail once there is a nominee.

What an ugly few days it's been having to hear Trump praise rapists and defend them and say the same things about women "asking for it" that he did back in the 1990's. And because the word "rape" has been so on his mind, he's now even using it to make his complaints about China.

My family is very, pale blond hair Norwegians. Tall, too skinny (always made fun of in America because of tall and too thin).

Funny too a story brother married a Jewish girl very dark hair and hairy on arms and legs and she has always been a question to us because she shaves legs and has "waxing" before our beach trips and we laugh and she thinks is nice that we don't do that and wants to trade her dark hair for norwegian no hair.

It is nice to have her in our family because all of us looks same and are with same and she is our hairy tan sister!

Donnie the Douche is a weak man with very small hands. He's old, slow moving with very low energy. He's fat, jowled, dyed hair wound tight around his fat head and his face sporting an over-sprayed tan. He always wears pantsuits with an extra long tie to cover up his meatloaf of a gut. He is a card carrying ol' white male.

Donnie the Douche is a shit salesman selling fake gold plated turds. If he closes a deal on our country we can't fire him. We've got nothing in writing to renegotiate. Can we impeach him for giving the country a loud and long and nasty verbal blow job?

He is physically extremely unattractive and he is obese and so out of shape. He's like a slug walking across the floor to the podium. Just compare his slow movements to that of President Obama going toward a podium. No comparison!

Can you imagine having to share a bed with him? He's so NOT sexy and appealing! Feel for all of his wives, prostitutes and girlfriends that he used as sex objects throughout the years!

Can't help but wonder if he and his current wife have separate bedrooms? Wouldn't surprise me a bit! Their home is so large that it would be easy to get away from each other.

"No one as unstable as Trump should be allowed within a mile of the nuclear button, but come January, it could be a phone call away.

If Hillary Clinton wins in November, we're in the same boat without all the shouting. She is not as frightening as her presumed opponent, but her judgment on matters of war and personal freedom have been shown to be sorely lacking. Clinton voted with the Bush administration on the Iraq war (which gave us ISIS) and the Patriot Act. Her recent hawkish speech at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee convention would have made Barry Goldwater hide under the bed with a daisy pressed between his palms."

I think a Clinton/Warren ticket would be as if Obama chose a Black man as his running mate. In such an unprecedented, historical party choice, Hillary would have to choose someone to more balance the ticket in order to get elected. Sorry, as much as I like Warren, she needs to remain in the Senate in order to help move the party's platform.

I think Hillary will choose a white, male governor from a mid-western or western state. (No one comes to mind, but that is who she needs to offset the troglodyte vote for Trump.)

    ReplyDelete

    1. If Clinton chooses a white male governor, it will do nothing for her at all.

And if she chooses a Hispanic politician like Julián Castro it will seem too contrived, and too predictable.

What she needs to do is to energize the base of the party, because at this point it is all about turn out.

And I can think of NOBODY who will help to do that better than Elizabeth Warren.

    Clinton's Battle Plan

Don’t expect Hillary Clinton to stay above the fray in the general election—her campaign plans “sustained and brutal attacks” on Donald Trump.

Rope-a-dope isn’t Clinton’s style. When facing political threats, her pattern has been to strike first—and with great force.

In the words of one aide, “She’s happiest when she’s fighting, when she has identified the enemy and goes into attack mode … That’s what she thrives on more than anything—the battle.”

Clinton has won the female vote in every single primary except three – Sen. Bernie Sanders' home state of Vermont, New Hampshire and Wisconsin, where Clinton lost but still was nearly even with Sanders. In every single state where exit polling was done, Clinton over-performed among women, meaning that she got a higher percentage of female voters than the individual primary electorates as a whole. That's true even in states she lost to Sanders.

Further, in almost every primary state so far, Clinton has captured higher percentages of the female vote than she did in those same primaries in 2008, including in states that could decide the general election. In Virginia, for example, Clinton took 39 percent of the female Democratic primary vote in 2008, and 70 percent this year. In another swing state, Florida, Clinton's share of the female primary vote went from 54 percent to 70 percent. In Nevada, Clinton went from 51 percent of the female vote in 2008 to 57 percent in February's caucuses, and in North Carolina, she improved from 43 percent of women voters to 59 percent this year.
