Courtesy of CBS Miami:
George Zimmerman says he is auctioning off the gun he used to kill Miami teen Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman made the announcement on Wednesday night during a newscast on Orlando’s WOFL television.
The online auction starts Thursday. The opening bid is set at $5,000.
Zimmerman was asked for his reaction to people who feel the sale is in bad taste. He said those who don’t approve wouldn’t be bidding, so he doesn’t care what they think.
Zimmerman refers to the gun as a piece of "American history."
He is not wrong there, American history is riddled with senseless gun deaths.
The original auction house bailed on Zimmerman after receiving some hate mail, but another one quickly volunteered to take its place.
At this point it seems that George Zimmerman is working his hardest to become the most hated man in the country.
Good news George, I think you made it
Gryphen, it wasn't too long ago that you blamed Zimmerman's girlfriend for his beating up on her.
ReplyDeleteHe most certainly did not.
DeleteGive me the date of Gryphen's posting blaming her, the time of Gryphen's posting blaming her and the title of Gryphen's posting in which he blamed her so I can look up your proof.
DeleteOtherwise, go away.
I know God is not particularly popular on this blog, and it's often been stated that those of us who believe in God are a bunch of deluded scaredy cats who only act morally and do the right thing because of the threat of punishment.
ReplyDeleteSome of us, however believe in God because, as human beings, we have a deep-set, innate need to believe that there is an ultimate justice in the universe.
There is nothing that can happen to George Zimmerman in this world that can begin to balance the scales of what he has done, and selling off the weapon that took another innocent human life is just the latest despicable act in a long string by this man.
Laugh at me if you will, talk of sky fairies, flying spaghetti monsters, whatever, but I fervently believe that Zimmerman will someday face the divine justice that he so richly deserves.
I hear ya, 3:06am.

DeleteWell, I see he has not been getting that mental health care he has so desperately needed for years ...
ReplyDeleteI cannot think of a person I'd more like to see this Earth that that POS. What a despicable excuse for a human being. So the Smithsonian wants the gun? Yeah, I bet. For their exhibit on the most senseless murders in history. You know, young Emmitt Till, George Tiller, Trayvon, and all the other people shot in this country by white (half white) idiots with superiority complexes. May you rot in hell, Zimmerman.
ReplyDeleteHas Donald Trump bid and won yet?

MAYBE YES......$53Million????
DeleteA despicable man and act, proving (once again)
ReplyDeletethe sad truth that he knows there is a market for this thing, and so do we. America is sick & pathetic and needs to be put into a Home.
No longer on auction. Gun removed.
ReplyDeleteZimmerman is the classic example of how retarded America has become. You just can't fix stupid.
ReplyDeleteBecome?

ReplyDeleteAs long as that keeps you from being a vigilante in this world, fine.
RESULTS true or false>

From the May 12 LA Times quoting the listing on GunBroker.com and responses from Sec. Clinton and the Martin family:
ReplyDelete"In the listing, Zimmerman says a portion of the proceeds would go toward fighting alleged violence against law enforcement by the Black Lives Matter movement and to stop what he called anti-firearm rhetoric made by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
The proceeds will also help pay for efforts to end the career of Angela Corey, who led the prosecution against Zimmerman, according to the post.
Clinton indirectly responded with a tweet saying she’s thinking of Martin’s mother, followed by a link to the Trayvon Martin Foundation.
“Sybrina, you and all mothers of gun violence victims have taught us hate will never win,” the tweet reads.
Martin’s family released a statement saying the foundation is focused on ending “senseless gun violence.”

Well, Trayvon got shot in self defense while pummeling George Z. So as the courts agreed it was not murder, it was a justified shooting.
ReplyDeletePerhaps if Trayvon's parent actually did their job as parent while he was alive, this never would have happened. As is typical in these situations, they sure cared a lot more after he was dead mugging for the cameras and cashing in on a foundation. Now that is sick.
You are an idiot 8:44.
DeleteMy God, 8:44, you disgust me so much with your self-righteousness and willful ignorance that I can't even respond.
ReplyDeleteBut then that's what you wanted, right, troll?

I generally wish no harm to anyone, but in this case I'll make an exception because of his sheer chutzpah and the orgasmic glow he has when getting his photo taken. Apparently, pugsley kills a kid armed with skittles and a soda, against orders to remain in his vehicle, and the justice system failed Treyvon and his family. Treyvon had every right and privilege any other person living in that area had, his father lives there and pays maintenance and taxes.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days, we'll read happy news, like Pugsley handle the same gun and has an "accident" happen.
Wow his gun is going for 65 million right now!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most disgusting sick stories I have ever heard. There ought to be a law against making money from this kind of sale - the sale of a murder weapon, by the murderer.
ReplyDeleteThere was no murder, no matter how many times you say it. Luckily George Zimmerman was able to use his firearm to stop Trayvon from killing him. He has every right to sell his gun. Trayvon's disgusting parents sure cashed in on his death, even though they couldn't bother parenting before this tragedy.
