The kiss heard around the world.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. presidential hopeful Donald Trump are kissing on the side of a barbecue restaurant in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The mural, painted by local artist Mindaugas Bonanu, was unveiled by the co-owner of the Keule Ruke, Dominykas Čečkauskas, on Thursday. It has swiftly gained attention in both Lithuanian and international media.

Putin and Trump are known for exchanging mutual admiration statements, with the Russian leader calling Trump “a very colorful person, tatented without any doubt” and Trump saying it was “a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond.”

I can tell you that the image has most certainly caught on in social media far beyond the Baltic states since it has shown up repeatedly on my Twitter feed and e-mail box.

Personally I have nothing against same sex PDA's but this one did make my stomach lurch just a little.

I imagine it will have an even more profound effect on the notoriously homophobic Vladimir Putin's gastric system.

If trump maintains relationships with women only to show them off as trophy wives or trusting them professionally as mother figures, we could have ourselves the makings of a relationship not unlike that he had with Cohen.

I have long suspected that Trump's relationship with Roy Cohn had a more intimate side to it; that's partly how Trump got ahead in life. To him it's not a big deal, just business as usual, manipulating other people -- whatever it takes.

That's hot. What do you mean it's only okay if it's hot ladies kissing? Gryphen is as big a homophobe as any.

    1. I knew if I dangled the bait I would catch a big ole dipshit.

No my stomach lurched, NOT at the image of two men kissing, but at the idea of Donald Trump having a bromance with Vladimir Putin, a man who is just as xenophobic, homophobic, and hateful as he is.

Like I said I really need smarter trolls around here.

I'm with you, Gryphen. I'm not a fan of PDA's regardless of orientation. There's a time and place for everything. I've been far more "grossed out" by heterosexuals overdoing the PDAs and swapping spit in public than lesbian, gays, bisexuals, Transgendered and cross dressers.
And that doesn't make me anti LGBT either.

I agree that Trump will never be president. It will be amazing to me if Trump ends up as the actual candidate after the gop convention no matter how many delegates he has received during the primaries. He is so obviously mentally unstable and is already busy insulting leaders around the world.

The Majority of Today's Elected Democrats Are Moderate Republicans

"There used to be a quip that the United States was a one-party state with a business party that had two factions: the Democrats and Republicans—and that used to be pretty accurate, but it’s not anymore. The U.S. is still a two-party state, but there’s only one faction, and it’s not Democrats, it’s moderate Republicans. Today’s Democrats have shifted to the right,"

It’s not unlike the casting for “Celebrity Apprentice” — grab up the names who will bring the biggest ratings rather than lesser names who are, you know, competent. Palin seems to fit perfectly into Trump’s plan for the November sweeps.
It’d be the classic scenario of the blind leading the blind. A know-nothing circus clown and a mush-mouthed reality-show star. (By the way, those descriptions are interchangeable. Good luck guessing who’s who.)"The GOP is only now beginning to coalesce around their nominee. And, more importantly, we should never, ever underestimate the nearsightedness of the American voter. Roughly 50 million of them will likely vote for the Trump ticket, especially if Palin’s name is attached.

      50 million people....

    Obama didn’t birth Trump’s movement

Blaming President Obama for the rise of Donald Trump is popular among Republican leaders. They don’t want to take responsibility for the choices made by their own voters or their complicity in tolerating and even encouraging the extremism Trump represents.

They also don’t want to face the fact that many Trump ballots were aimed at them.

I even saw one of your female (Republican) senators on tv last week who, after viewing the ad where all things Trump has said about women was played, responded to the interviewer's request for a comment by saying I've been called names. Really?? As for Morning Joe - best described as a rating whore asshat.

An Open Letter to Trump Supporters: He’s Lied to You

    Dear Trump Supporters:

We all know how “angry” you are, and that it’s been that anger that Donald Trump has tapped into and exploited in order to win the Republican presidential nomination. But it’s about time you turn all that anger towards the man who’s been pulling the wool over your eyes ever since he entered the race. He’s lied to you, he’s used you, and now he’s turning his back on you to get what he wants, which is all that Trump ever cares about: himself.

Trump and the Demagogues of Modern Nationalism

...When I ask him about Donald Trump, his enthusiasm for this political phenomenon and media juggler becomes evident. “A lot of his ideas are unrealistic” and anyways, “it is impossible to talk about a single American ‘ethnicity.’ “However,” the taxi driver asserts, “he has the courage to talk about things that other people are afraid to say.” He adds that since the US (evidently) still has not fully recovered from the economic crisis “perhaps the time has come for someone to run this country like a business, and Trump is a great businessman.” When I tell him about another successful businessman, Silvio Berlusconi, he gives me a look that is both confused and skeptical.

Three centrist Democrats in the U.S. Senate are already pledging to work with presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Politico reports that Democratic senators Jon Tester of Montana, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota are all pledging to make nice with Trump should he actually be elected president.

There's a Super PAC trying to get the Amish vote out for Donald Trump

Ohio and Pennsylvania are historically considered important “swing” states on the road to electing a new U.S. president. Ohio and Pennsylvania have one thing in common: fracking sizable Amish populations. By last estimate, there are almost 50,000 Amish living in Ohio and a little more than 40,000 living in Pennsylvania. This election cycle has brought us Donald Trump and all of the “innovation” that comes with the Donald. So it is no surprise that desperate Republicans are trying to get out the Amish vote! Meet the Amish PAC.

Earlier today, I ran across something online that I found realky strange. I discovered an article in the Washington Post (April 5th) that covered the untimely death of porn actress Amber Rayne. In the comments section at 9:57 CDT, someone named "John Barron" with an avatar of Trump wearing sunglasses made a somewhat misogynistic remark questing whether this actress had been physically abused. It's kind of odd that this "person" made this comment back in early April, before the story broke of Trump using various aliases making comments (about himself). Since Gryphen is a long time porn lover, I thought he may have heard of this actress and her death. It certainly looks suspicious.

      Oh, please....

Trump has been using the aliases John Barron and John Miller and posing as his spokesperson or public relations contact since the 1970s, calling New York papers and reporters to get himself into the news -- just as he does now.

In fact, in reference to the John Miller alias, apparently he testified in a 1990 court case that “I believe on occasion I used that name.”

The story recently gained traction because an audio tape of an interview with then-People magazine reporter Sue Carswell surfaced.

What's interesting is that Carswell believes Trump himself must have leaked the audio of that 1991 interview to the Washington Post. She said she lost her tape, and never gave a copy to anyone, and she assumes the only other person who has a copy is Trump.

"It's just strange that it broke on Friday, the week that he had trouble with...the summit with Paul, [Ryan] the questions into his taxes. The butler saying outrageous things. And it seems to me that this was some sort of distraction," Carswell said.

For a recap, you might want to read this
      piece from the Washington Post.
