You know I think the animals in Alaska are getting a little TOO comfortable with people.

Courtesy of Alaska Dispatch:

A moose calf was born in the parking lot of an Anchorage Lowe's hardware store on Tuesday, to the delight of shoppers.

"I just seen a brand new baby moose 15 minutes old born in a Lowes parking lot!!!" one onlooker posted on Facebook, along with several photos of the cow moose and newborn.

You know first we have a mama bear blocking traffic up the street from my house with her unruly cubs, and now we have moose mothers just birthing calves right on the edge of town.

It is like a damn critter day care around here.

What an adorable little baby!! When SarahPac runs out, maybe there will sightings of Bristles giving birth in the WalMart parking lot?

Maybe the people are getting a little too comfortable with the animals. But then again, the diehard Alaskan "hunters", the ones feeding their families consisting of a young wife and young kids, are probably loving this. Somebody run and get the rifle.

      Too close to the truth.

I can see some enterprising and lazy hunter going to get his gun and killing this mama for meat, claiming she presented a danger. And of course that newborn would then also die.

Poachers do that in Africa all the time.

      It's a mindset.

LOL 6:30! You got that right - except one thing. The Palins have gone all fancy these days and do most of their shopping at the 'silla Tar-sjay. I believe Saray helped git that thar - along with other shoppin ops - to hell with the' invirowmint' and regulations. Got wetlands? Not no mo in Sarah's 'silla!

More on Bill. "in one place, a tuft of grass, first buried some 20,000 years ago, dangles in the dark, still green with chlorophyll that never had a chance to degrade."
He moved here nearly three decades ago, from Buffalo, New York, to open a Burger King on the Air Force base nearby. He was forced to resign shortly after and found other work. “It was before ‘don't ask, don't tell’ ended, and I told."

It’s very comfortable here. I love having the opportunity to do what I want on my piece of property. I loved being able to build the house I wanted to build,” he says, then pauses. “Well, houses.”

Only in Alaska! Sometimes I miss that place.

Remember: Alaska belonged to the moose long before Europeans arrived and paved the place.

Love the way you assholes move in to wildlife's domain, then bitch about the animals. No doubt your answer will be to kill them. Sick people.

I think we should name the new baby "Jordan" and I hope people just let them be. We lost a regal gorilla in a zoo because a kid fell into it's habitat. I think it's beyond time we stop exploiting wild animals for our amusement.
