Wikileaks releases those DNC voicemail messages that the Russians hacked for them. My response is either "Ho" or "Hum" I haven't decided.

Courtesy of CNN:

Wikileaks released a series of voicemails Wednesday from the Democratic National Committee hack showing donors plying top-level officials for favors, and one donor expressing outrage that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders had won a say in the drafting of the party's platform.

In one of the 29 voicemails released, a woman who donated $300 to Clinton called the party finance director Andrew Wright and said she was angry the party was acquiescing to Sanders by allowing liberal activist and prominent Sanders surrogate Cornel West to have one of 15 seats on the party's platform-writing panel.

"I'm furious about what you are doing for Bernie Sanders, he's getting way too much influence. I'm on a fixed income, I spent over $300, donated to Hillary, what I see is the DNC bending over backwards for Bernie and Bernie is the worst person in the world to even be running in the Democratic Party, because he's not a Democrat," said the unidentified woman in a voicemail that was sent to Wright's DNC email account.

In another voicemail, Bill Eacho, a longtime Democratic donor and former U.S. ambassador, inquired about the details of a "small dinner with President Obama."

Wait, what? So the "smoking gun" here is that Democrats were upset that the  DNC did not crush the Bernie Sanders campaign?

Hell I already knew that!

Here is more from The Hill:

Many of the voicemails were messages of callers leaving their numbers in hopes of being called back or innocuous greetings.

But multiple messages came from voters upset that the DNC was giving too much support to Sanders.

Okay if Julian Assange and Wikileaks is trying to damage the Clinton campaign, and the Democrat's hope of winning the 2016 election, this does not seem to be helping much.

Here was the headline over at Gawker:

BREAKING: Wikileaks Retweets Some Boring-Ass Voicemails

Yeah, that about sums it up.

Isn't this sort of quid pro quo illegal? Buying political access and favors?

Yes, but how much political access and favors would someone get for $300?

    2. Anonymous3:17 PM

Seriously, for $300 you could get a nice dinner for two, pay your cable/internet bill for a month or buy a couple pairs of shoes.

It's not even a car payment FFS.

Not only that, it isn't illegal to ask (and the donor didn't do that, she just complained) itnos illegal to offer x for y.

    4. Anonymous8:12 PM

I'm not talking about the lousy $300. (And I find it interesting that $300 is dismissed but everyone is livid about $27 donations but never mind.) That's misdirection, but thanks for playing.

There are other voicemails from other donors.

About dinners, invitations and access to the President. Outside of normal, visible channels. Under the table stuff.

Those are the ones I'm talking about.

Give money and have a private dinner with the president (as opposed to a state dinner or in a large hall through an appearance at an organized function). No, not through a charity or other specified occasion.

"In another voicemail, Bill Eacho, a longtime Democratic donor and former U.S. ambassador, inquired about the details of a "small dinner with President Obama.""

"A few of the messages highlight the relationships between donors looking for favors and goodies, and the party officials trying to bring in money to their coffers."

"While the information contained on the recorded voicemails appears to be more of the same that we saw during last week’s email hack, it does further implicate party leaders in colluding against Sanders to secure the democratic nomination for Hillary Clinton."

The Latest: Some Sanders backers want DNC apology on TV

    The Associated Press
    4:25 p.m.

Die-hard Bernie Sanders supporters from Oregon's delegation say they're demanding a nationally televised apology at the Democratic National Convention before Hillary Clinton takes the stage Thursday night to accept the presidential nomination.

The matter involves leaked emails from the Democratic National Committee that indicated party officials were biased against the Vermont senator.

The DNC has apologized and the party's leader, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is resigning her post.

But Melissa Pancurak tells The Associated Press that those steps don't go far enough. She says the Oregon delegates are part of a coalition of Sanders supporters working to get their demand to appropriate DNC officials before Clinton's speech.

What about Wasserman Scholtz? She lost her job and can't do her convention speech due to the ho hum.

That sucks. Why did Hill allow that to happen to her friend? Big deal that she would give he another job.

I guess it is all ho hum for Wasserman Scholtz?

Can she get back her good name?

It must have killed Hillary to ask her to step aside. But all that noise was going to take over. Plus, it's one thing when people just use their voices, but who knows how crazy things would have gotten with the optics. Once that FLA breakfast mess happened, she had to act the way she did. Bernie's people were so rude and full of themselves, and here and there they have continued to be and it's feared that they'll act up tonight. But, man, how low it was when they wouldn't even let a reverend do the opening prayer that first day. I hope DWS can make a move back into a visible position. And I sure hope this convention thing doesn't ruin her reelection bid.

All the vicious lies and false narratives about Sanders should have never been refuted. It was terrible people would want to clear the record. How despicable. People that stand up should be put down until they are squashed. This is America. Who needs a party that doesn't see eye to eye and everything? The only way to manage a political system is to be in control and never tolerate anyone else. That has screwed things up for democracy.

The Hillary supporters look like they are held hostage by their lies. Bernie supporters just want to be heard. They think this is still the America the old slave owning forefathers and others wrote about. Somewhere down the line there was once freedom of speech. If Hillary wants she can have the Bernie supporters taken out by the security people.

Otherwise, let them speak, they can't be heard in that arrangement anyway.

The Hillary people are the big cry babies and un-American. As far as I know it is not Hillary that whines about people with views other than hers. She has her own idiot followers.

If it was a convention, you could hear all kinds of ruckus. Trouble is Hillary supporters are all about a show. They want it to appear to be perfect in their idea of perfect unity. Instead it is a convention and it is life. The good, bad and ugly. Hillary supporters are the bad and ugly ones now.

    For example:

Of these 10%, 1% of the top 1% give 99% of the money, meaning that the wealthiest in our country are making more of a monetary influence in politics and small donations under $200 get lost in the shuffle.
