Louisiana resident working to help flood victims has a question for Donald Trump: "Where is the f**king check?"

According to Raw Story this was written by Louisiana resident Neva Butkus, and she was clearly fed up with the attacks on President Obama and Trump's bullshit photo-op.

To be honest I was not going to talk about Trump's visit to Louisiana again since I posted something about it on Friday.

But that is until this showed up on one of the morning comment threads:

Donald Trump visited Louisiana today. He brought with him a truck loaded with food, supplies, and toys that he personally passed out. He also donated money to a flood relief charity. He went and walked flooded houses in a community. He didn't ask for state police or military security, I I imagine he may have had his personal security with him but hey he pays them so not my business. He didn't ask for any road to be closed to bring him in or an escort to his destination, matter of fact he didn't inform the government of his visit at all. He didn't care if the government knew he was coming, he just came and brought needing people needed supplies. And the news covered it about 15 seconds and then used it as a hit piece to plug Obama's visit that will happen. It was just wrong on many levels. No matter of you agree with Trump political are not what he done today was honorable and good, and he did it without making a big deal of himself. I hope more people of his statue will do the same in the same way, without all the hype of announcing their visit with intent of a public photo op.

This person spent some time writing this so they clearly wanted us to believe that it was a factual account, despite all of he evidence which disputes that.

And since I have a very hard time believing that ANYBODY on their own would bother to write something like this, and post it on a blog located all way up here in Alaska, I think it indicates that there are now Trump brand paid trolls surfing the internet and attempting to change the narrative on his campaign.

THAT is the kind of thing for which his new campaign chief Stephen Bannon is well known.

In other words Trump has no intention of changing anything about who is he or what he plans to do as President, but he is going to change the amount of bullshit pumped in our direction to alter our perception of who he is and what he plans to do as President.

Most horrifying of his arrival was the first two people to leave his jet were goons with battle helmets and assault rifles. WTF? Where did he think he was visiting. Afraid of the GOP regulars?

He did use state resources when the secret service(the federal tax payers paid for that) used local sheriff's dept to help shut down the road while he came in and left, they also provided extra security. Also too, tRump donated nothing, the truck he unloaded for a few seconds was someone else's.

Trump polluted the environment by flying a private jet there. He wasted resources; paid personnel were required there. By the way, there's still no proof of the supposed cash donation he made to a church there. Reporters have NOT been able to get it verified.

Oh puh-lease. It was an entirely self-serving photo op that wasted resources and accomplished nothing. You know, just like visiting remote villages with a plate of cookies, or swooping into Haiti to spend 30 seconds on the ground being photographed next to poor people. If Trump gave a shit about making a real contribution, he would have taken the money it cost to make the trip, added to it from that vast personal fortune of his, and written a check to help flood victims. He could also roll up his sleeves and figure out how Trump resources can be deployed to make a real contribution to the recovery. He might ask Bill Clinton for some pointers here; Bill made many, many trips to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake to help lead the International Commission that oversaw the recovery and the first Presidential election afterwards.
(You say you never heard about this? Never saw photos from the photo ops? Well bless my socks.)

He did not purchase or procure those supplies he just glommed onto a group that had filled the truck and offered to hand out the first few items in the truck, which stupidly happened to be worthless PlayDoh.

He never informed the Governor he was coming and flew in and back out within an hour, if that's not a photo-op I don't know what is.

And he did NOTHING to help, unless you count that 50 second clip where he actually slowed down the unloading of someone else's truck filled with donated items. So there were no "good acts" by tRump, get over it. It was a photoop and nothing more.

If I see him handing the Governor a big check (NOT made of rubber) to help with the recovery, I might believe he genuinely cared for the people of LA.

Otherwise, he was there to get his picture taken and to thumb his nose at the President who knew that declaring federal disaster status, staying away so as NOT to interfere with the first responders, and sending his top emergency team to the area is so much more effective.

9:33 - The criticism of Bush came because of the outrageously incompetent and politically-driven response to Katrina by FEMA and its Director, Michael Brown. Brown's previous 'experience' was as the Judges and Stewards Commissioner for the International Arabian Horse Association, which he resigned while facing disciplinary charges.

The response to Katrina was slow, despite the advance warning of the potential of the storm's strength. The repeated examples of failure to establish response plans prior to the storm, coordinate responding agencies, maintain proper communication and oversight, and effectively evaluate and prioritize needs resulted in far more fatalities than might have otherwise occurred.

Had Bush responded immediately - from ANY location - and placed competent, experienced people in charge of disaster relief agencies, the outcome would have been very different. Getting on television and proclaiming, "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job," while hundreds of people lay dying as a direct result of Brown's failure was the final insult.

Leaving behind families and jobs and homes in places where their families have lived for generations, until climate change went and messed it all up?
Clearly critical thinking skills are not your strong suit, 1044a, but could you possibly, just once, put your brain in gear before you start spewing garbage?

Anon at 9:33 am. When the Hurricane Katrina money finally came from Congress, most of it went to the state of Mississippi, with its GOP governor and Bush buddy. The governor of Louisiana had begged Bush to declare a federal emergency but he dithered for days and days. President Obama reacted immediately and federal aid was there as soon as the flooding began.

Many Americans seem to have no sense of history: Bush was president when Hurricane Katrina struck. In fact as the levees were being threatened and the worst of the catastrophe was beginning, he was off celebrating John McCain's birthday. And it was George W. Bush who chose to ignore intelligence warnings of an imminent attack shortly before 9/11. Yet there are idiots who blame President Obama for the fiasco that the response to Hurricane Katrina was, just as they blame him for the 9/11 attack. Totally ludicrous. But, oh so American.

These people could be proactive now and move on their own before they lose everything again.

What's the better solution, wait for the next disaster and rely on government or your insurance (if you are lucky enough to get insurance in that area) to rebuild your home, again, or wait until you #1 Drown in the next storm, #2 Lose your home again and have no insurance to cover it and a government that will not rebuild for you and perhaps does not have the resources to relocate you to a more suitable area?

Try being realistic when looking at this situation. I realize that emotions run high during these crises, but the reality is this will happen again and there may not be free resources to assist so proaction is the logical choice.

Now, add in that they may have a job and family in the area - and family can mean cheap child care or back up child care - that whole network of family and friends support system, especially for the poor and middle class, who can't Ivanka like just dump the kids with the nannies. He's a selfish piece of shit who can't bear to spend a cent of his own money. He was dressed in his usual layers of suit that he'd worn in LA the entire time he was there, complete with French cuffs and cuff links. Poor Trump. So, he had his dumb hat on indoors now like he did outside (always need to keep the bald spots from showing in case of wind gusts), but who goes around claiming to look so worn out from a photo op in LA and is still wearing his thousands of dollars of clothing and he never once took off his jacket and never rolled up his sleeves!

But I did read that before the photo op he met with Tony Perkins and Samaritan's Purse, Franklin Graham. I assumed they were providing the goods since that was why they were there. That also explains the toys. Another tidbit someone pointed out was that Pence was the leader in holding up Katrina aid if it was not offset by cuts to SS

    4. Snopes may be reporting that Trump "paid" for the supplies but I seriously doubt it. He isn't paying for his own plane - the campaign is. He isn't paying for his office, staff or food from Trump Tower - his campaign is. IF he did pay for it, good on him but he could have sent a check or sent the supplies without all the extra bullshit. I saw him riding out of the airport following at least 10 to 15 motorcycle cops, so yes, he diverted resources.

It amazes me that Trump supporters don't see a problem with the potential President of the United States needing a team of spin doctors to defend, interpret and explain everything he says and does. Have they thought about what this would mean to fragile or hostile negotiations with foreign leaders?

The Trump campaign spent just $18.4 million, albeit its highest monthly total so far. This spending, however, seemed to largely go toward raising money. His largest expense was $8.5 million to the digital marketing company Giles-Pascale for online advertising, which often consists of direct click to fundraising appeals. The purchase of hats, T-shirts and other apparel added up to $1.8 million. The campaign spent half that ― $921,000 ― to pay its 148 staff and consultants in July.

Trump also continued to spend money on his own properties to the tune of $782,000. This included paying rent at Trump Tower and covering the salaries of Trump Organization employees who are also working for the campaign. The largest of these expenses within his own empire was $495,000 paid to cover the use of Trump’s personal airplane.

Private air travel was actually the Trump campaign’s second biggest expense overall. It spent $2.7 million on private jets and Trump’s personal plane."

"As a funder of the conservative website Breitbart, hedge fund billionaire Bob Mercer is an instrumental player in the many moving pieces of the infrastructure now making up the Trump campaign. He is also now one of the largest donors to Trump’s election efforts."

Mercer is probably the one that got Manafort fired and installed Bannon and Conway. Now he controls Trump.

I don't care how much money Mercer has, he can't solely fund the Trump campaign.

But now we know how the decisions are being made. You just follow the money.

Trump doesn't write checks his butt can't cash. Where are your taxes and health records, fool?? In a race to look relevant, he goes to a mostly white area and makes sweeping generalizations about African Americans. Don't worry, Don, they don't bite.
