The Mayor of San Juan was quite unimpressed with Trump's photo op in Puerto Rico.

Courtesy of Politico:

“He was insulting to the people of Puerto Rico,” Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz said Tuesday night on MSNBC hours after meeting Trump face-to-face at a briefing with Puerto Rican leaders and the president. Beyond the briefing, Trump also toured damaged areas and helped distribute supplies, flicking paper towels into a crowd with the motion of a jump shot in basketball. All of it, Cruz said, was disingenuous.

“This was a PR, 17-minute meeting. There was no exchange with anybody, with none of the mayors,” the mayor said. “And in fact, this terrible and abominable view of him throwing paper towels and throwing provisions at people, it really — it does not embody the spirit of the American nation, you know?”

Particularly egregious, according to the mayor, was Trump’s remark during the briefing with Puerto Rican officials that they should “be very proud” because the death toll on the island has not spiked as it did in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, which the president said was “a real catastrophe.”

“He kind of minimized our suffering here by saying that Katrina was a real disaster, sort of implying that this was not a real disaster because not many people have died here,” Cruz said. “Well you know what? They’re dying. They don’t have the medical resources.”

Yeah I knew yesterday when Trump claimed that Mayor Cruz had "come back a long way," that he was full of shit.

I watched footage of Trump's visit yesterday in horror.

He went out of his way to minimize the devastation and to humiliate the people of Puerto Rico.

And the worst part was the Puerto Rican politicians who sat around trying to give him credibility while sacrificing their own.

This San Juan mayor seems to be the only politician on the island with any balls.

They should make her the freaking governor.

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey Donald Trump once gain visits Texas. Because apparently they have not suffered enough.

Courtesy of WaPo:

President Trump swooped into this flood-ravaged city Saturday to meet with survivors of Hurricane Harvey in his second visit to Southeast Texas since the storm came ashore eight days ago.

After focusing exclusively on the government response to Harvey and staying out of the disaster zone during his first trip to the region Tuesday, Trump planned to highlight storm victims and shine the presidential spotlight on communities dramatically altered by Harvey’s enduring floodwaters.

Trump, who traveled here with first lady Melania Trump, met with residents affected by the storm at the NRG Center in Houston, stopping by a lunch line where volunteers were distributing hot dogs, chips and apple sauce.

The Trumps, escorted by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), stopped for hugs and posed for photos with storm survivors. In the children’s area of the center, the president got into a scrum with three boys, one with a fake sword, while the first lady sat on the floor with children and books.

“The message is that things are working out well. Really, I think people appreciate what’s been done. It’s been done very efficiently, very well, and that’s what we want,” the president said. “We’re very happy with the way everything is going. A lot of love. There’s a lot of love.”

Happy with the way everything is going?

He does realize that there is billions of dollars of damage to the state and people still trapped in their homes right?

Not to mention this.
Trump also participated in a number of photo ops where he pretended to load supplies onto a truck, and to do something helpful.

Trump did a number of odd things during his visit, such as autographing a wall.
And bragging about the size of his hands.
You thought I made that last one up didn't you?

Perhaps the greatest picture that will ever be taken in the Oval Office while Trump is president.

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

Presidential photo ops are normally a staid affair, but Rhode Island teacher Nikos Giannopoulos brought some unique flair to the Oval Office when he met with President Donald Trump.

Giannopoulos carried a black lace fan that he unfurled alongside Trump at the Resolute desk in order to, as he put it in a Facebook post, “celebrate the joy and freedom of gender nonconformity.” Giannopoulos met Trump with a group of other teachers on April 26, but he only received a copy of his picture with the president this week. Since he posted the photo on Facebook on Thursday, it has gained widespread attention and, as of this writing, was shared over 2,600 times.

“I walked into the Oval Office, I was probably like the fourth person to walk in,” Giannopoulos told Yahoo News in a Friday phone interview. “I kind of popped open my fan just to be kind of a little bit sassy, as I am prone to being.”

According to Giannpoulos, Trump immediately took notice of the fashion accessory.

“I started fanning myself and he complimented the fan actually, so that was his first sentence to me. It was basically, ‘Oh, I like the fan.’ And then he also told me that I was very stylish,” Giannopoulos said.

Giannopoulos teaches special ed students in Rhode Island so he is undoubtedly used to dealing with individuals with Trump's intellectual limitations.

I think this should be a new thing when getting your picture taken with Trump.

Just try to do something that will be both eye catching and ultimately embarrassing to him personally, and every inbred redneck who voted for him.

Well she finally made it. Sarah Palin visits the Trump White House.

Oh an look, she brought poopy pants with her.

Personally I did not realize that they made doilies that big.
Sarah Palin, Kid Rock, and Ted Nugent. Well now it's official, the White House is now the "White Trash House."

So what does this mean, if anything?

I would not even try to venture a guess.

This Trump presidency is batshit crazy, so Palin could be there to interview for some job with the Trump cabinet, to pee on one of the beds that the Obamas slept in, or to simply get her picture taken in the room that the American voters kept her from accessing on her own.

Who knows?

All I know is that the White House staff should waste no time in getting the place fumigated.

That Palin stench is tough to remove.

Louisiana resident working to help flood victims has a question for Donald Trump: "Where is the f**king check?"

According to Raw Story this was written by Louisiana resident Neva Butkus, and she was clearly fed up with the attacks on President Obama and Trump's bullshit photo-op.

To be honest I was not going to talk about Trump's visit to Louisiana again since I posted something about it on Friday.

But that is until this showed up on one of the morning comment threads:

Donald Trump visited Louisiana today. He brought with him a truck loaded with food, supplies, and toys that he personally passed out. He also donated money to a flood relief charity. He went and walked flooded houses in a community. He didn't ask for state police or military security, I I imagine he may have had his personal security with him but hey he pays them so not my business. He didn't ask for any road to be closed to bring him in or an escort to his destination, matter of fact he didn't inform the government of his visit at all. He didn't care if the government knew he was coming, he just came and brought needing people needed supplies. And the news covered it about 15 seconds and then used it as a hit piece to plug Obama's visit that will happen. It was just wrong on many levels. No matter of you agree with Trump political are not what he done today was honorable and good, and he did it without making a big deal of himself. I hope more people of his statue will do the same in the same way, without all the hype of announcing their visit with intent of a public photo op.

This person spent some time writing this so they clearly wanted us to believe that it was a factual account, despite all of he evidence which disputes that.

And since I have a very hard time believing that ANYBODY on their own would bother to write something like this, and post it on a blog located all way up here in Alaska, I think it indicates that there are now Trump brand paid trolls surfing the internet and attempting to change the narrative on his campaign.

THAT is the kind of thing for which his new campaign chief Stephen Bannon is well known.

In other words Trump has no intention of changing anything about who is he or what he plans to do as President, but he is going to change the amount of bullshit pumped in our direction to alter our perception of who he is and what he plans to do as President.

Dakota Meyer has been assimilated.

Capation:

dakotameyer0317 Everyday I'm reminded more and more of how lucky I am to have @bsmp2

Some are suggesting that this was taken in a church on Easter Sunday, but they certainly did not seem to be very close to a house of worship the other day.

And besides the un-cropped photo shows them sitting in the audience at CPAC.

Nice try.

Well it's pretty clear that Meyer is falling in line when it comes to providing propaganda to continue pimping the Palin family's image of a pro-military, faux Christian value embracing, tribe of misfits.

Hard to imagine a more tragic fate for a Medal of Honor winner.

Sarah Palin basks in praise from conservative writers over her fake hunting.

Courtesy of Annie Okey Dokey's Facebook page:

Do the "scientific" haters not realize that it's considered practically illegal, immoral and fattening NOT to help control predators that decimate the food source these granola-crunching yahoos live on? And by food source, I mean grain fields.

According to the article: "Sarah Palin will unfortunately not be able to make a dent in the hog population in Texas even if she stayed for the entire year with an unlimited supply of ammo."

PLEASE, let me try, let me try!

 - Sarah Palin

The article that Palin's ghostwriter refers to is this one from Hot Air which says, among other things, this:

Sarah Palin will unfortunately not be able to make a dent in the hog population in Texas even if she stayed for the entire year with an unlimited supply of ammo. Spare us the sanctimonious sighs and comments about the cruelty of slaughtering God’s creatures. She’s doing everyone a very small favor and somebody will probably get a meal out of the deal.

For one thing as I pointed out in an earlier post, Palin did not kill that "wild boar."

Most likely the Motor City Mammal Massacring Maniac did it for her.

And the other thing is that this is NOT a wild boar. It is a pet from Nugent's SpiritWild Ranch, where he allows city folk to come and play act as great white hunters.

So the animal that was killed, was a pet that was killed for her, so that she could pose for a picture, to fool the paint chip eaters.

And look it worked!

You know another little tidbit that my source revealed to me is that as far as she knew, and she is positioned to know quite a lot, Sarah Palin has never shot and killed ANYTHING.

She also hated going fishing with Todd, but only did it early in their marriage because he insisted. She then stopped altogether later in the marriage, only returning in 2009 for a day of photo-ops to feed to the press.

Don;t forget, EVERYTHING about Sarah Palin is phony. And I do mean EVERYTHING!

Making even eating an ice cream cone seem super cool.

Fuck the Republican's constant attacks and the media misrepresentation of everything I do. I am just going to stand here and totally enjoy my damn ice cream, while everybody takes my picture like I am a Kardashian walking around nude.

Sarah Palin shows up at a traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial. I guess there were no Piggly Wiggly's opening that day. Update!

Courtesy of My Fox Phoenix:

The traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial is on display in Buckeye.

It's a smaller version of the permanent Vietnam War Wall in Washington, but still features all the names of the service members who were killed or listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War.

"So I honor them I thank them, I love them, I'm proud to be the mother of a vet and there are no words to express the appreciation so many Americans feel for the United States military," said Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor, who made an appearance at the memorial.

Still pimping that mother of a vet meme huh Sarah?

For some reason they also let her speak, though I am not certain why?

I think at this point Palin is just looking for ANYPLACE where people will let her speak and then take pictures of her so that she can remain even vaguely relevant.

Look at me! Look at me! I used to BE somebody!

So sad.

There are more pictures here if you have not had enough pathetic for this morning.

Update: By the way somebody mentioned earlier that Palin appears to now be a permanent resident of Arizona, and that may well be true.

I have heard of only ONE recent encounter with her in Wasilla, and that was while she was came up to the drive thru at her local Taco Bell and was told "Wow, you look just like Sarah Palin."

When Palin responded with "That's because I am Sarah Palin," the female employee said "My husband hates you."

Apparently that really pissed Palin off who drove off in a huff,

Gee I wonder why they don't see more of her around Wasilla?

Paul Ryan soup kitchen photo-op causes mass exodus of donors.

Courtesy of the Huffington Post:

In the wake of Rep. Paul Ryan's embarrassing soup kitchen photo-op last week, the organization that runs the facility tells The Huffington Post that donors have begun pulling their money out of the Youngstown, Ohio charity.

Ryan may have suffered a few late-night jokes, but the fallout for the soup kitchen appears to be far more bruising. Brian J. Antal, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society, confirmed that donors have begun an exodus in protest over Ryan's embarrassment. The monetary losses have been big. "It appears to be a substantial amount," Antal said. "You can rest assured there has been a substantial backlash."

Antal says he can't give an actual dollar amount. "I can't say how much [in] donations we lost," he said. "Donations are a private matter with our organization."

Antal's charity represents the kind of organization that conservative Republicans might champion. But that was before the Ryan incident went viral a few days ago. According to The Washington Post, Antal said that the moment should never have happened. He told the newspaper that the photo-op was not authorized and that the campaign had “ramrodded their way” inside.

Ryan supporters have now targeted Antal and his soup kitchen, Antal said, including making hundreds of angry phone calls. Some members of Antal's volunteer staff have had to endure the barrage as well, he said. "The sad part is a lot of [the callers] want to hide behind anonymity," he said, adding that if someone leaves their name and number he has tried to return their call. In addition to phone calls, people have posted a few choice words on the charity's Facebook wall, including statements like "I hope you lose your tax [sic] emempt status," Anyone who is thinking about donations to you should think twice" and "Shame on you Brian Antal!"

On the phone with HuffPost, Antal seemed worn out by all the vitriol. "Honesty, I really don't need any more attention," he said. "I really just want this to go away."

Just because your candidate is a giant douchebag who gets caught bullying his way into a charity to have his picture taken creating more work for the staff by contaminating sterilized dishes is NO reason to blame the charity!

Okay WTF is wrong with these people?

Paul Ryan shows up uninvited to soup kitchen and washes clean dishes for photo-op. WTF?

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

The head of a northeast Ohio charity says that the Romney campaign last week “ramrodded their way” into the group’s Youngstown soup kitchen so that GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan could get his picture taken washing dishes in the dining hall.

Brian J. Antal, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society, said that he was not contacted by the Romney campaign ahead of the Saturday morning visit by Ryan, who stopped by the soup kitchen after a town hall at Youngstown State University.

“We’re a faith-based organization; we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations,” Antal said in a phone interview Monday afternoon. “It’s strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there, and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors.”

He added: “The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”

Ryan had stopped by the soup kitchen for about 15 minutes on his way to the airport after his Saturday morning town hall in Youngstown. By the time he arrived, the food had already been served, the patrons had left, and the hall had been cleaned.

Upon entering the soup kitchen, Ryan, his wife and three young children greeted and thanked several volunteers, then donned white aprons and offered to clean some dishes. Photographers snapped photos and TV cameras shot footage of Ryan and his family washing pots and pans that did not appear to be dirty.

So let's get this straight.

In an attempt to fight the image that the Romney/Ryan ticket does not care about 47% of the population, Ryan pushed his way into a soup kitchen after all of the hard work was over, and had his picture taken washing already cleaned dishes.

Oh yeah THAT ought to help their credibility!

P.S. Here is video of the photo op. You can clearly see that the kitchen is spotless and Ryan simply says "I'm going to get them wet, and you're going to dry them" to his son.

EPIC FAIL!

Seriously Michele Bachmann, seriously? Update!

Okay now this is supposedly a serious Presidential candidate, trying her best to shrug off the mantle of Tea Party wingnut, she should know better than to allow herself to be photographed like this.

This is the kind of crap that Palin is always pulling. I don't like Bachmann's policies, or essentially anything about her, but I thought she was too professional and self aware to have allowed something like this to happen.

But she did allow it, leaving us with NO choice but to make immature juvenile cracks at her expense.

Here I'll start:

"Oh this is one of those corndog thingies. Fortunately my husband Marcus taught all about how to eat one of these like a lady. Somebody hold my hair."

I did not know that Viagra sponsored a booth at the fair??

Suddenly Sarah Palin realized that Todd had run over to the other side of the fairground and was now carrying Michele Bachmann's purse.

Okay I have a million more, but then I will just have to spend the rest of the day apologizing to the ladies that come here, so I will leave the rest up sick twisted minds of my visitors.  Have fun!

Update: Since so many of you sent me the link to this picture, I guess I really have no choice.

"You don't need to squint Marcus. Nothing is spraying out of this one."

Yes I know I am going to hell. The only question is how close will my seat be to the flames?

Sarah Palin's photo op with Margaret Thatcher will be "bogus".

From Opinion LA:

There's word rumbling around Great Britain and beyond that Sarah Palin is angling to meet Margaret Thatcher, the first woman to be that nation's prime minister.

It's a photo op that would be a triumph for Palin, an image supposedly showing the solidarity of conservative female leaders.

But it would be bogus. Not photoshopped-bogus, but dishonest nonetheless.

Baroness Thatcher is suffering from dementia, according to her daughter, Carol. Writing in the Daily Mail more than a year and a half ago, Carol Thatcher chronicled her mother's decline: "On bad days, she could hardly remember the beginning of a sentence by the time she got to the end.''

For a woman of Thatcher's formidable intellect and unflagging energy, it's a sad decline. For Palin's camp to use her as a human prop, as in a photo op, it's unforgivable.

For one thing, Thatcher was never about female solidarity. For another, she did not suffer fools gladly; her exacting impatience with anyone not up to snuff was legendary. And what the woman who fought to become prime minister and fought harder to stay there might have said of a governor who walked away from her elected office can be vividly and acidly imagined.

Of course as we all know none if this will matter one bit to Sarah Palin and her graceless sycophants.

If the worst came to pass and Thatcher's life ended before Palin was able to get her "pitchure" taken with the Iron Lady , it would not even slow Siser Sarah down.  She would still show up, stand next to the corpse while flashbulbs popped to record the historic moment, and then later tweet, "Met PM Maggie Thatcher. Thrill of lifetime! She was SO polite and just like me never blinked ONCE! Great conser hero/role model, exactly like Pres Reagan. It was eery"
