In a reverse of 2008 this time it's the grandparents trying to get the kids to vote for Hillary Clinton.

Courtesy of Daily Kos:

Remember in 2008 when Sarah Silverman made a video called “The Great Schlep” about visiting your grandparents in Florida to make sure they would vote for Obama? Well, now the tables have turned.

A group called Bend the Arc Jewish Action has made a video where it’s “bubbes and zaydes who are stepping up to push the younger generation to vote for Hillary Clinton,” according to a story in Advertising Age.

“Join the Jewish Movement to Defeat Trump,” says the group’s website, which uses the hashtag #WeveSeenThisBefore. In a video, Jewish grandparents promise to “Rise From the Dead and Haunt Their Grandchildren if They Don’t Vote for Hillary Clinton.”

Okay that last part with the sheet really cracked me up.

And all kidding aside this is something that really needs to happen, grandparents and parents explaining to their children just how much is on the line with this election.

Even better than Sarah Silverman's ad in 2008.

And the media in 2016 isn't laying down judgment for Chelsea who leaves her newborn to campaign.

Why do you think this is a problem that needs your attention? I'm sure Chelsea's baby is being well taken care of while she works on her mother's campaign. Are you worried about the child... Or you just trying to shame the Clintons and enforce your view of what motherhood should be?

    2. Why should they? There is a competent parent at home with him, it's called a father. Plus, there are these things called airplanes that the Mezvinsky's can afford to use whenever they want. Chelsea is hardly away campaigning for weeks on end without ever returning home. Fun fact, Donald Trump would only recommend 6 weeks of paid maternal leave, the Clinton plan recommends 12, and its a couple of weeks over 12 weeks ago that the baby was born. I don't know why you are trying to make something out of this nothing.

Hey Gryph, keep an eye on the pond, their nerves about the debate are making them extra ugly, there may even be a post in it.

    ps: PFD is $1,022? WTF?

It could not be more obvious that Trump will create all policy and will make all decisions based on whomever spoke to him last. Yikes.

My 19 year old was a complete Bernie supporter. She was devastated when, as she put it, Hillary "stole" the nomination from him. She goes on about the "deleted" emails, and how "corrupt" and "establishment" she is. Yet she admits that Trump is most certainly not a viable alternative. I'm praying she's not leaning for a third party candidate. I need to have my mom, who has had her thumb on the pulse of American politics for her entire adult life (especially women's rights and children's health issues) have a little chat with her. I've tried to explain things to my daughter but yeah, "What does MOM know? (/s)" She'll listen to Nana.

It's disrespectful to Millenials to claim the reason they might not vote for Clinton because they don't understand "what's at stake." They're quite aware what they're facing - especially climate change - and they don't think either Clinton or Trump is going to solve the problems they face.

"Do what your Nana says"? Puhleez. They're adults, not toddlers.

But millennials DON'T seem to understand that in terms of OUTCOME, a third party vote is identical to a vote for Trump. Do millennials think that a protest vote is ok in a terrifyingly close election? If so, then they absolutely do not understand what is at stake.

If they vote third party, they're toddlers.

"“Should martial law, civil war — whatever — break out in this country, they will uphold the Constitution and rebuild our loss,” he said. “The war that’s going to break out if Hillary Clinton’s elected, if that happens. Your patriots are going to overthrow the government.”

I rolled when one lady said she'd make your kale spoil at twice the speed it does now. We told our kids to vote for whomever they choose, I doubt today's young voters need to be told, they have a keen sense of who's policies they agree with.
