It's the Hillary Clinton/Donald Trump health off. (Or the "I'll show you mine if you promise to and then fake showing me yours on television.")

So in the wake of that video showing Hillary Clinton on the verge of collapse on 9-11, the health of both candidates has been on the forefront of everybody's mind.

In response Hillary has released this letter from her doctor:

The letter appears to be fairly standard with an overall healthy assessment, but also mention of an ongoing hypothyroidism concerns, a sinus and ear infection, and of course the pneumonia.

On the other hand Trump has been a little evasive with his his health records, and instead went on the Dr. Oz show to share a letter from the same doctor who declared that he would be the healthiest individual ever elected president.

Here is Politico's reporting on that letter:

Bernstein’s note released on Thursday was more restrained. It reveals that Trump takes a cholesterol-lowering drug (rosuvastatin) and a low-dose aspirin in addition to reiterating that his only hospitalization was for an appendectomy at the age of 11. Trump is 6-foot-3, weighing 236 pounds, placing him in the upper bound of what is considered "overweight" by the National Institutes of Health Body Mass Index calculator.

Bornstein wrote that Trump’s test showed a cholesterol level of 169, HDL cholesterol 63, LDL cholesterol 94, triglycerides 61, PSA 0.15, blood pressure 116/70, blood sugar 99 and C Reactive Protein UQ 0.7.

Bornstein reported Trump’s liver and thyroid function tests as “all within the normal range,” with an annual physical exam taking place every spring. Trump’s last colonoscopy was on July 10, 2013, according to the note, and it was normal and “revealed no polyps.” His calcium score was 98 in 2013. An EKG and chest X-ray conducted on April 14 of this year showed “normal” results, Bernstein added, going on to note that Trump received a transthroacic echocardiogram on Dec. 16, 2014 that “was reported within the range of normal.”

Trump’s testosterone level is 441.6, according to the report, which also states that his family has no history of premature cardiac or neoplastic disease, nor does the candidate use tobacco or alcohol.

“In summary, Mr. Trump is in excellent physical health,” Bornstein wrote in the note dated Wednesday, released in conjunction with the airing of Trump's appearance on "The Dr. Oz Show," also taped Wednesday in New York.

First off I have to admit that I am somewhat skeptical of anything that this doctor writes in a letter for Trump, based mostly on the  ridiculous letter from before.

Now it was previously reported by some members of the audience that Trump's weight was 267 lbs. However I heard the exchange between Trump and Dr. Oz and he clearly said 236 lbs. which I find almost impossible to believe.

In my opinion, as somebody who used to do personal training, Trump is packing at the very least 250 to 260 pounds on his frame, and what is more he clearly does not engage in any physical fitness regime, which also makes me doubt the validity of the other numbers on this letter. (Trump literally suggested that he gets exercise giving speeches and using hand gestures. I am not making that up.)

I think for me the main reason I have trouble accepting the validity of this letter concerning Trump's health is due to the almost overwhelming number of times Trump has been caught lying.

So do I think that Trump is lying about his health? Yes.

Do I think that Hillary might be fudging some of her health issues in order to win this election? It's possible.

However the next question I have to ask myself is if something terrible were to befall either person should they win the White House, whose running mate am I more comfortable with taking over.

Tim Kaine?

Or Mike Pence?

Oh yeah, I don't care if Hillary has terminal cancer in every pore of her body and only minutes to live after her swearing in ceremony, I would still rather have the country in the hands of the affable Tim Kaine and the Democratic party than in the hands of the Russian Winter Soldier, or his pal Mike "Cotton Mather" Pence.

So in my opinion this whole health debate is no longer even an issue.

tRump, as usual is hiding something. My vet has given a more detailed health report of my dog, than that "report" from tRump's whacko doctor. Dr. Oz just confirmed his reputation as a fake with that so-called interview with tRump.

He is on a statin drug which at his age indicates a blocking of major arteries. Dr's do not put you on a statin category drug just because you reach age 70, they only do it when there is a medical need.

I don't believe the 0.15 PSA. EVERY man over 60 has a prostate that is at least slightly enlarged. As the prostate gland enlarges, it secretes more PSA, thereby driving up the PSA level. It's not that Trump has an enlarged prostate, it's that, at his age, his PSA should be higher.

Another thing he's lying about is his height. He is not 6'3", I doubt he's even 6' even. I stood for over 5 minutes right next to him one day years ago while attending an event when he was married to Marla Maples. He is not 6'3"! Plus, during the debates he stood next to Jeb Bush, who is a tall guy at 6'3" or 6'4". He cannot even stop lying about something as easily debunked as his height! I also question why Trump is taking aspirin daily if he's never had any conditions or indications of an impending heart attack or stroke. You don't just take aspirin for the hell of it.

Speeches and hand gestures? That's not exercise.

And I would have said more like 280 but what do I know.

BTW I read a rumor on the internet (maybe here?) that Trump wears a corset. That's why the baggy suit coat he never takes off and never buttons and why the very long and wide ties that he must have special made since no off the rack ties would hang that low on a 6 foot frame.

There are things that do shrink with age.

    4. Anonymous1:45 PM

A lot of sites are commenting today on his claimed height (and that if did go by his real height then that would make his BMI definitely obese) and showing pics of Trump standing next to many other men over the years and not being his claimed height of 6'3" or even 6'2". In older pics with Trump, Don King (not counting the hair)is taller (and this was when Trump wasn't a hunchback) and then when King ages he appears the same height and shorter. Jesse Jackson, who was once 6'3" but he lost an inch of height, was taller than Trump. Trump next to Letterman is a go-to set of pics, with Letterman at 6'2" and taller--obviously taller. Some people have defended Trump by saying that people shrink with age, but he is still claiming to be oh-so-tall. Some people claim that Jeb is trying to look tall in a photo of the candidates, but there are soooo many pics showing Jeb as a couple inches taller. Jeb says he's 6'3" and I believe that.

The doc is vague in using the wording "normal range." I bet that Trump is just barely in that range. I figure if he's going to eat meat I'll just get him the stuff that won't kill him as fast (mostly because he needs to stay around for a while longer because his 401K and investments aren't quite large enough yet to support me should he die at 60 because of his bad diet ;-)

My 18 year old son is 6'3", muscular and 180 pounds...and looks very healthy and thinnish. Drumpf is waaaaaaaaaay heavier looking than said son. Like easily 80 pounds heavier.

Yep. Spouse is 6'1" Which appear to be T.Rumps actual height. Spouse works out (weightlifts/cardio sport) and is about the same weight as T.Rump claims. But spouse has a 52" chest, legs like tree trunks, an ass that mmm mmmm ... oh, sorry.. got distracted... he is solid muscle all over, not thin. No way, T.Rump at the same height weighs the same. 270 at least.

AND he'll get away with this lie, just like he got away with all the other lies.
And the MSM will keep on going after Hillary for not being 'transparent enough'.

I just knew that the Dr. Oz thingy was going to be a scam. Dr. Oz is into the money like Trump. Didn't his ethics get questioned last year on something? I never pay attention to those tv doctors and judges. They have obviously sold out. It didn't surprise me when they wouldn't be up front. And even if they show anything, I wouldn't believe it. It's a yuge scam just like Donald. I know a few sociopaths and steer clear of them. The Republican party are going to have to go full Nazi when he gets elected. It's going to be so bad.

Who goes on a fake doctor's show to divulge a two page letter written by a "doctor" who looks like the dead heads didn't want him around? That's not a record and says nothing of substance, it's an outline anyone can make up.

Personally I could careless what Trump's clown doctor letter said. I find it too convenient that Hillary has pneumonia and little Donnie just happened to have had a physical. I am sure if someone could pin him down exactly when he had this physical, we would find out he was in another state at some rally at the same time.

I am more interesting in a full psychiatric evaluation of sociopath Donnie.

Also, I don't believe he doesn't have high blood pressure, all that anger at any criticism, yelling, lying and ranting til his face is red is not conducive to low blood pressure.

I'm uncomfortable with the level of 'Christianity' Tim Kaine embraces because I prefer leaders that understand the difference between superstition and reality.
But - yeah - Kaine would be better than Pence - Pence is NUTS as well as being a festering asshole.

Yeah, I hate that about him as well, but no one is perfect and despite his religion he seems like a decent person, I know, famous last words, but I'm willing to give him a chance as long as he keeps that shit to himself.

This country and our government has religion shoved so far up its collective ass. National prayer breakfast anyone?

Ya know, just like us atheists, some Christians are pretty good people. Not because of their religion - though they may think that, but because they are just decent people. And some religions really do follow their teachers. And that Christ dude was pretty cool.

-So in my opinion this whole health debate is no longer even an issue.-

That is is quite an opinion. If she headbobs, goes googely eyed, or drops during the debates. Game over. And that is what a lot of people are watching for right now.

This is why you vote for the Vice President, not just the President.

It's what made John McCain unfit for office. Because if he died, Sarah Palin would be president.

So you look at Kaine and Pence and there's your answer.

    President Kaine, fine.

    President Pence, nightmare.
