Journalist has message for Donald Trump supporters. It is obscenity laced, more than a little insulting, but ultimately one they need to hear.

Drew Magary
Courtesy of GQ:

Nothing that Trump says, no damning piece of Trump reportage, and certainly no opinion piece like this one will stop his voters from pulling the lever. Nor will anything stop Trump from being the officious, braindead goon that he is. He will never answer for his crimes, and there’s a frighteningly large portion of the electorate that will always love him for that.

And so I’d just like to say to that portion of the electorate: Fuck you. No, seriously. Go fuck yourselves. I’m not gonna waste any more time trying to convince you that you’re about to do something you’ll regret forever. I’m not gonna show you old clips of Trump saying rotten things. I’m not gonna try to ANNIHILATE Trump by showing you records of his hypocrisy and greed. I’m not gonna link to a John Oliver clip and be like, “THIS. So much this.” Nothing’s gonna take down Trump at this point, so I’m not gonna bother. No no, this post is for ME. I am preaching to the sad little choir in my soul here.

Because while Trump is a miserable bastard, YOU are the people who have handed him the bullhorn. YOU are the people willing to embarrass this nation and put it on the brink of economic ruin all because you wanna throw an electoral hissy fit. YOU are the people who want to revolutionize the way America does business by voting for its worst businessman, a disgusting neon pig who only makes money when he causes problems for other people instead of solving them. YOU are the thin-skinned yokels who clutch your bandoliers whenever someone hurls the mildest of slurs at you (“deplorables”), while cheering Trump on as he leaves a bonfire of truly hateful invective everywhere he goes. YOU are the people willing to overlook the fact that Trump is an unqualified, ignorant sociopath because DURRRR HILLARY IS BAD TOO DURRRR.

You know what? No, she’s not. She’s fine. I lived through one Clinton, and I can live through another. My reasons for hating Trump are better than your reasons for hating Hillary. Show me all the arguments against her you like. You guys don’t give a shit about facts and research when it comes to Trump, so I’m not gonna give a shit about whatever clumsy meme you cook up to explain why she did Benghazi. Nope. Sorry. Fuck your arguments, and fuck you. Trump has shown no respect for anyone, so I don’t see why you deserve any either. Whatever mildly frustrating centrist liberal bureaucracy that Hillary presides over will be fine compared to the spray tan mushroom cloud that would arise all because YOU thought Trump was such a brave, un-PC dickhead to everyone within shouting distance.

There is more, quite a bit more actually, but I will let you go over to GQ, give them the clicks, and read it yourself.

And I really think you should because it is very cathartic to do so.

And also because this guy is absolutely right.

Donald Trump's candidacy is indeed the fault of the least educated, most racist, most mindnumbingly gullible bunch of idiots in the entire country.

And once this election is over, and Trump is forever defined as the loser we all know him to be, we need to get very, very serious about improving education in this country, and possible getting all of those brain cell killing reality show, like the Apprentice, off of our TVs.

Because we really need to make sure this never happens again.

I agree wholeheartedly. The improvement in education should include you, however.

And the first comment proves the point of the article.

With all the educational suggestions being made for our country I believe a class or two in emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, and crisis management would be extremely beneficial. Just a thought.

Two things have cheered me up: I read that the commercial sites need the polls to be close for interest sake, and I researched the poll info during the same time periods and saw how close or ahead Romney was and the serious expectation that he could win.

Cussing at and insulting people is not the way to persuade them. This article is counterproductive. Clinton supporters do such a lovely job of alienating people who disagree with them.

Do you think he gives a flying fuck if he alienates you? You missed the entire point. Do you think he's trying to "persuade" you? He already knows idiots like you can't be persuaded by logic, facts, or reality. So he's left with telling you what you are - an idiot. Have a nice life...

'Cussing at and insulting people' is how creepy Trump has acted his whole life. Even his own family. He also lies and exaggerates to the point of ridiculous.

Maybe this author was writing in a way he knew daffy Donald would understand. Have you ever read any direct quotes out of his ugly mouth? Or watched any video of him in the last 45 decades? Donnie cusses, a lot.

I, the OP, am not a Trump supporter. So no, 8:07, I haven't been conned. Yes, 8:59, I have read and heard what comes out of Trump's mouth. And 9:03, based on your writing I guarantee I read better and am better-educated than you. The three of you are a lot like Trump people. Haters.

The Number One rule in politics is: Don't insult your electorate. Go after your opposing candidate but not your constituency.

Michelle Obama said, "When they go low, we go high." Instead, folks on our side are stooping to the same level as Trump. I'm sad and disappointed that the Clinton campaign has turned into a run against Trump at his level instead of For Democratic ideas on the high ground.

10:34, Hillary should condemn any electorate that welcomes racists, birthers, supporters of violence. Deplorables was an understatement, and half was an underestimate.

The Morning Joe show watched Hillary Clinton’s new Donald Trump ad this morning, called “Mirrors,” and they were not happy – with Donald Trump. Hillary for America says the ad “underlines Donald Trump’s hateful and offensive message that he’s sending to girls across the country.

The ad shows little girls and young women looking in the mirror as they hear Trump’s own words and asks, ‘Is this the president we want for our daughters?’”

In the ad, you are treated to Donald Trump’s views on women, saying things such as “I’d look her right in that fat, ugly face of hers”; “She’s a slob, she ate like a pig”; and, “A person who is flat-chested, it’s very hard to be a 10.”

I noticed Grypen, that you have a troll on your hands. One that questions if you are real. Get rid of it. It's disturbing the force. Also, liked what this guy had to say. Tis true. But the addled brain of the internet brainwashed human is hard to change. The likes of Alex Jones, and the other crazies on youtube have infiltrated the minds of those that now have the power to write crazy things on these sites, and come up with their own twisted view of life in these times. Reality and the internet have intermingled. The brains of many have tried to make sense of it all but reality mixed with fantasy has gotten out of hand. It's the stuff that the CIA and KGB live and die for. We as citizens have gotten in knee deep. It's hard to tell at this point if it's shit or quicksand that we are standing in but my guess with the Donald is that it is the latter.

Problem is, there are surely also people on our side who could read the piece and still not get off their asses and vote. It's all going to come down to turnout.

And sadly, Hillary rallying by herself draws such small crowds and doesn't inspire. People catching bits and pieces of her rallies on TV need to see and hear inspiration. I really think Hillary shouldn't just be sending her fantastic surrogates all over but that she should also be pairing up with a different one once or twice a week on the trail. When she paired up with Kaine right fater the convention and then with Elizabeth Warren, it was great. She needs to start pairing up and really get the feeling going out there that there is someone to be excited about.

"It really is very much an honor to have your support and your endorsement," Clinton said

    March 2016
Washington (CNN)Talk show and radio host Steve Harvey endorsed Hillary Clinton on Tuesday during her appearance on his radio show, saying she is the best candidate to build on President Barack Obama's legacy.

"She has fought for social justice, equality and policies that expand civil rights and economic opportunity out there," he said on the "Steve Harvey Morning Show," his nationally syndicated radio...

"And I'm endorsing you as my candidate for President of the United States and I just think that you're going to just do the right thing for the majority of the people in this country." ...
