Man wonders aloud if bullet proof vest will stop bullets. Friend shoots him. Spoiler alert: It didn't.

Courtesy of WFLA:

A man wanted to see if a bulletproof vest that he had actually worked, so his cousin shot him in the chest, and wound up killing him, according to Tampa police.

It happened at a home located on Gordon Street in Tampa Saturday evening. Shortly after 10 p.m. TPD officers responded to the home after a report of a shooting.

When they arrived they located the victim outside of the house with a gunshot wound to the chest. In the house, the officers found blood and a bulletproof vest. Alexandro Garibaldi, 24, told them that he heard a gunshot and found the victim outside.

But a witness at the scene told another story. The witness said that the victim Joaquin Mendez, 23, sat in a chair and put on a bulletproof vest. He wondered out loud whether it still worked. Garibaldi took out a handgun, stated “Let’s see,” and shot at the vest. The vest was found in the house with a projectile entrance hole, according to TPD.

Mendez was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

What, this happened in Florida?  Who could have guessed that?

Oh, everybody? Well okay then.

P. S. I have a new idea for gun control.

Every single person in this country can have a gun once they pass a mental health evaluation and score 100 or above on an IQ test.

That right there not only excludes Donald Trump supporters and reality show viewers from getting their hands on guns, but also everybody in the Palin household.

Reminds me of the old joke about a good portion of emergency room visits begin with "here, hold my beer."

"IF" Donald Trump was the shooter in this case, there would be no need to worry about the case going to trial since Donald Trump donated $25K to Florida's Attorney General Pamela Bondi's election campaign.

    CASE DISMISSED

For enlightenment in a snapshot of everyday deplorable lives, try reading the Pasco Times in the Tampa paper every damn day.
I swear there are Palin tribe members living there. Not so vibrantly either. It has been run by redneck cracker Repubs forever and displaced New Yorkers who retired early on disability pensions.
The economy is based on drugs and strip clubs and used pickups. Murder, sex crimes, homelessness, and fundie religion ... it's all there.

He just accidentally found his calling..... quality control for bullet proof vests. Hint: They're spending millions on mosquito control because of Zika. Quick, pass a law that all mosquitoes have to wear bullet proof vests. That's like killing one bird with two stones.
