Julian Assange threatens to destroy Hillary Clinton's campaign, and then...you know...ends up trolling his followers instead.

Courtesy of Fox News:

Anyone who stayed up late or got up early anticipating an "October Surprise" from WikiLeaks heard no bombshells from the organization's founder in an overnight appearance via video.

Julian Assange, who was originally planning to make an announcement from the balcony of the Ecuadorean Embassy in London where he has lived for five years, instead appeared via videolink at a Berlin conference commemorating the leaked email clearinghouse's 10-year anniversary.

Despite widespread speculation he would reveal game-changing information on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Assange's 3 a.m. ET appearance featured no new revelations, although he did promise to publish information regarding the presidential election “every week for the next 10 weeks.”

The anticipation for this great "reveal" was amped up by one of Donald Trump's surrogates.
Well when asked if he was still going to destroy Hillary's campaign, Assange said this:

“There’s been a lot of misquoting of me and Wikileaks publications,” Assange said when asked if he believed his work would end Hillary Clinton’s political career.

However it should be noted that he himself said that his information was "significant" and could be a game changer.

This did not go over well with some Assange supporters:
So far the biggest impact that Wikileaks has had was to get Debbie Wasserman-Schultz fired as the head of the DNC. (Which I still contend was due to pressure by Sanders' supporters and a misreading of those leaked DNC e-mails.)

Other than that most of his leaked material has had very little effect, and now that he and his organization have been linked to Russia, people are starting to suspect that his motives are not as honorable as they were once given credit for being.

“And I must tell you, I hate the way they spend our tax dollars.”

      Donald Trump
      ---------------------
Those who don’t pay any taxes can’t complain.

I am sure there is more to this story. He is spending too much time trying to convince us that he had a responsibility to his workers/investors, that it is all legal. No one ever said it was illegal, just disgusting.

It seems his latest lie is to cover up the fact that he took the deduction on his PERSONAL taxes, which has nothing to do with his mismanaged businesses or workers. What else is he hiding?

Also it is hard to sell his tax plan cuts for the rich and corporations (they pay too much) when people see how much they really pay-nothing !!!

GOP distances itself from Trump -- again

    By Maeve Reston, CNN

    Pueblo, Colorado (CNN)
Donald Trump -- struggling to move past a week of one controversy after another -- is making clear that he's willing to go it alone in the final weeks of the campaign.

As the Republican nominee tries to recover from one of his toughest stretches, few prominent GOP leaders -- other than those who advise him or are on his payroll -- seem willing to launch a full-throated rescue effort.
So Trump sought to do the heavy lifting himself Monday, delivering a feisty speech here that attempted to reframe the campaign and extract him from the quagmire of the past week, which included a disappointing debate performance, a roiling controversy over whether he paid taxes, and ill-advised attacks on a Latina beauty queen -- a feud he couldn't seem to let go.
Trump running out of time as controversies pile up...

I can't decide how I feel about him and what he believes. I definitely think he could acquire knowledge/data that would destroy both candidates and it appears he hates peeople who Hide international affairs secrets.

Kind of comes across as an attention whore. Though I probably is receiving threats. Hillary knows dangerous people.

Trump Used Foundation Funds for 2016 Run, Filings Suggest

.... “Great meeting with you and your wife in my office,” dated May 6, 2011. Enclosed was a check for $10,000 from the Donald J. Trump Foundation.

That check is one of at least several donations to suggest Trump used his private foundation, funded by outside donors, to launch and fuel his political ambitions. Such contributions, if they were made solely for Trump’s benefit, could violate federal self-dealing laws for private foundations.

From 2011 through 2014, Trump harnessed his eponymous foundation to send at least $286,000 to influential conservative or policy groups, a RealClearPolitics review of the foundation’s tax filings found. In many cases, this flow of money corresponded to prime speaking slots or endorsements that aided Trump as he sought to recast himself as a plausible Republican candidate for president....

Some say your son Caint Get Right doesn't have PTSD anyway, he was violent in high school. Wikileaks is glaringly a trouble make for Putin. Snowden is Putin's lil biatch. Edward and Snowden sold to that devil and they are doomed to stay exactly where they are. That's what happens when you deal with the devil. And that is what Putin is, a demon. What his purpose is? It's anyone's guess. World domination. Put those Americans in their place. Whatever. Now Trump, because he's broke and struggling to stay alive financially has made a deal with Putin. Handing our American asses over without a thought. The GOP use to be the first one to sniff out a commy but now it's been blindfolded by hate for Hillary. In November, a vote for Hillary means America remains free. Sure we have fuckups in our political system but after Donald hands us over to Russia without a thought, we no longer have that option to be free and complainin'. Putin has a habit of shutting the fuck up out of his critics.

Trump a 'Brilliant' Businessman? Tax Experts Say Otherwise

... "As a businessman and real estate developer, I have legally used the tax laws to my benefit, and to the benefit of my company, my investors, and my employees. I mean, honestly, I have brilliantly, I have brilliantly used those laws," he said in Pueblo, Colo. on Monday night.

Tax experts, however, say his potential use of the NOL loophole doesn't indicate "genius" — it's what any business owner would do.

"There's nothing morally wrong or unethical" about using NOL to offset taxes, said Dan Shaviro, a tax law professor at NYU who worked on tax reform as a Congressional aide. "But you don't have to be a genius — you could be a chimp."

While "it's perfectly normal" to use NOLs to offset a business owner's taxes, Shaviro said, a loss of more than $900 million is "unusual."

"It doesn't speak well of his business sense that he had that type of [net operating loss]. It makes him look like a fool or an incompetent in his planning," he said.

OT? "Leader McConnell argues that with an election looming, the Supreme Court should remain short staffed, and he certainly knows his way around DC. But the last time a Supreme Court seat was kept vacant through Election Day was in 1864. At the height of the Civil War. So, this isn’t about precedent. This is about the obstruction of a broken Republican-led Congress. Every day that GOP Senate leaders block this nomination, they hamstring the entire third branch of government."
On countless priorities – issues that matter to people across the country, regardless of their politics – Republicans in Washington have traded progress for partisanship."By hobbling the Supreme Court for what could be a year or longer, Republicans are eroding one of the core institutions of American democracy."

      Enough is enough.

"Their obstruction underscores a fundamental misunderstanding of the way our government should work. Sure, they’re blocking Merrick Garland – and maybe scoring a political point or two – but in doing so they are failing the American people. By hobbling the Supreme Court for what could be a year or longer, Republicans are eroding one of the core institutions of American democracy.
This cannot be the new normal. Let’s disagree on the issues, but let’s work together to protect a system of government that has stood strong for 240 years and made us the greatest country on Earth. We must expect better. You must demand better.

That’s why it’s so important that you make your voice heard. Call your representative. Tweet your Senator. Tell them what matters to you. And in November go vote. Then do it again in the next election, even when the presidency isn’t at stake. Send a clear message that Congress, at the very least, needs to perform its basic, Constitutional responsibilities – and should do much more.

We didn’t grow from a fledgling nation into the greatest force for good the world has ever known by flouting the institutions that define our democracy. We did it through fidelity to the values of our founding, and an understanding that our American experiment only works when we the people have a say. So do your part, and demand your representatives do theirs. That’s how we’ll carry forward the work of perfecting our Union."

I think Obama should continue to hammer McConnell, Ryan and Congressional Republicans not doing their jobs while continuing to take their pay. It can only back fire on them.

They can see what's going to happen in November and there is no more excuse for any delays. Hillary will likely nominate someone even less to their liking and they won't get away with obstructing the nomination of a Supreme Court justice for four years. They could do a lot worse than Merrick Garland. They should just bite the bullet and move quickly to confirm him now, before the elections. If they don't, they risk losing some more down ticket offices and giving the Democrats the majority they need.
