On last night Real Time Bill Maher warns us about Donald Trump's "Basket of Deplorables" coming to Washington, and brags that he made Trump produce his birth certificate in court.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

In a segment that is long overdue, HBO Real Time host Bill Maher took a long look at the army of advocates GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump deploys to cable TV every night — using them as a preview of who you can expect to be running the country if he becomes president.

Maher began by listing off some of the more prominent talking heads who are cable regulars sent out each day to defend the worst that Trump has to offer.

“Steve Cortes and Katrina Pierson and Chris Christie and Omarosa are trundling down the corridors of power, bumping into the walls,” he explained. “We’re thinking of giving these people the reins of power? I wouldn’t put them on a bus without asking the driver to make sure they didn’t miss their stop.”

At the end of the bit, which was extremely funny, Maher brags about the lawsuit that Trump filed against him during which he actually produced his birth certificate to prove that his mother did not fuck an ape.

All I can say is that I can hardly wait to see what SNL does with all of this tonight.

Looks like I have time to watch this right now. I wanted to catch the start of Trump's PA rally tonight to see what lame initial statements he'd make, but the rally is now more than an hour and a half late.

Wanna bet his airplane was defective or rigged.

Now he has really gone off the deep end, if that is even possible:he is claiming Hillary cheated on Bill. Talk about taking the campaign to a new low.

..."Trump did not stop there. He said he did not believe Clinton would be loyal to her supporters and chuckled, “I don’t even think she’s loyal to Bill, to tell you the truth. And why should she be, right? Why should she be?”

He's trying to deflect from the fact that he's a cheat.

Bill Maher's Trump stuff last night was outstanding! Love his sense of humor! Getting Trump to provide his birth certificate to him was the segment being the absolute funniest!

Don't miss Maher's show - it's every Friday night on Cable TV.

Trump is late to a lot of his functions - as noted above in the writings of 4:36 PM. That means he has zero respect for the folks waiting for him. I dated a guy like that years ago and his always being late was what finally ended it w/me. So disrespectful of others!!

I didn't have HBO but I activated it to check out the new Westworld series on Sunday. I saw this was on and watched for the first time. Hilarious! Maher fillets Trump and Trump surrogates.

Thanks for posting this, one of the best takedowns Bill's done. Wonder what he has to say about Kellyanne Whatever her name is.
Seeing them on the same screen makes me think the basket of deplorable ones is losing. "What polls?"

    O/T

He probably hasn't paid Federal incomes taxes in years. He declared a 916 million dollar loss in 1995 and has filed 6 bankruptcies. This is the 'successful' businessman whom his brain dead supporters wave their flags for because he is telling them the minorities are taking their hard earned stuff. The folks voting for Trump are so colossally stupid it's too bad they can't quarantine them for enhanced study. They epitomize retardation. Dumb as shit.

His supporters will excuse this by saying he was a Democrat at the time and just taking free stuff, like all those liberals do all the time.

We can add “tax evader” to the list of his “winning” strategy.

    NEW YORK TIMES
Trump Tax Records Obtained by The Times Reveal He Could Have Avoided Paying Taxes for Nearly Two Decades

Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.

The 1995 tax records, never before disclosed, reveal the extraordinary tax benefits that Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, derived from the financial wreckage he left behind in the early 1990s through mismanagement of three Atlantic City casinos, his ill-fated foray into the airline business and his ill-timed purchase of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.....

I am sure this will make no difference to Trump supporters and they will be the first to complain when he raises their taxes if he wins. They are too stupid to realize his tax cuts do not include the middle/lower classes.

What I want to know is how Trump is not paying personal income taxes. His loses are from his businesses and that should be separate from personal income, like his salary from reality shows.

I still think there is something else he is hiding, as mentioned, if he is so proud not to have paid taxes and his returns show that, he should be running to the media with boxes of tax returns to prove he is the smartest man in America.

Love Maher. Back in March when people were in awe of everything Trump said, I would comfort myself by watching Bill. He knew Trump was nuts. I needed to hear that because the media and people were making him seem like a messiah, and it was messing up my mind. Bill Maher was on spot the while time to inform people that Trump wasn't playing with a full deck. It's sad that the comediennes are truthful, and the news people follow whatever train wreck that will get them ratings.

Oh. Please. Listen to the whole thing. Listen to her tone. She was mocking Sanders supporters. Listen to the laughing from the high-dollar donors.

It's funny how the defenders are parroting the campaign and leaving out these remarks like:
"If you’re feeling like you’re consigned to, you know, being a barista..."
“There’s just a deep desire to believe that we can have free college, free health care, that … we just need to, you know, go as far as Scandinavia, whatever that means, and half the people don’t even know what that means.”

There's that "half" again. Her tone was derisive and sarcastic, not sympathetic. She got laughs, not a sympathetic murmur. Totally condescending.

The liberal media has stolen my tax records.

    Sad!

    They claim I lost $915,729,293 in 1995!

    They wish!

All I have to say is who is the biggest loser now! Biggest loss, biggest writeoff, biggest ass! I've got all that shit!

It's just like my old friend Leona Helmsley said! "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes". And the IRS locked her @$$ up!

We can make America great again. If everyone's a giant loser then don't we all win?

    Trofire:
Could Gary Johnson Be Even Dumber Than Sarah Palin?
    September 29, 2016

Gary Johnson, the Libertarian presidential candidate, seems to have a problem with knowledge. He has committed so many gaffes that he’s making Sarah Palin and Rick Perry look like brilliant, sophisticated leaders, and that’s no small feat. The Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this...

Yeah, Trump’s a moron too, but at least, at least he is not as blatantly stupid as Gary Johnson.

Gary Johnson is the Sarah Palin of Libertarianism....

Gary Johnson sounds like a real brain trust. As former governor of New Mexico, when asked what foreign leader do you admire, I would expect him to at least come up with the president of Mexico, but no, he had an “Aleppo moment” and couldn’t name one leader in the whole world.

Maybe that is why he is resonating so well with the millennials.

Right, because the only issue Sanders supporters, including Millenials, care about is dope. Can you not see why this attitude toward Sanders supporters, starting from Clinton herself, is not winning them over to Clinton?

I'm only addressing the close to 30% portion of Millenials that appears to currently support Gary Johnson. Given his recent lack of demonstrated knowledge regarding Aleppo and world leaders and his bizarre interview where he was speaking while his tongue was sticking out, can you provide a better explanation for why these Millenials support him???

    Trump may have a mole

The New York Times reported that they received these documents in an envelope mailed from New York City with a return address of Trump Tower.

Someone can, of course, write whatever they wish as a return address. But tax documents are sensitive material and would be extraordinarily difficult to obtain without inside access.

    UPDATE (10:22PM):
The Trump campaign released a statement on the disclosure of his 1995 tax returns.

(See statement of disclosure below. What's funny is that it says "20 year old alleged tax document was illegally obtained")

    https://thinkprogress.org/one-year-of-trumps-tax-returns-were-just-revealed-now-we-know-why-he-won-t-release-the-rest-a68e88a6038a#.v8cpryol2

    $$$$$$$

Donnie, alleged means - said without proof

If it is alleged then why mention it was illegally obtained?

Donnie if it is alleged then why even worry about and mention it was illegally obtained?

Okay, I watched the entire episode and Bill was great.

But he needs to take more care in the token Republicans he invites on the show. I don't know who that asshole Steve Moore was, but he just didn't shut up. He was worse than Trump on Monday. Was it because the person next to him was a woman or black or maybe a bit of both. Constantly interrupting her, and the guy next to her and Maher and never letting anyone get a word in edgewise and denying the facts. It was a fucking idiot. Now there's nothing wrong with some intelligent debate. But this guy started talking, didn't stop and didn't let anyone finish a sentence. He wanted to dominate the entire show. They were making fun of him and he was oblivious. In other words. A typical Trump Republican.

I applaud them all because after I while I simply would have screamed in his face "SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP" until he finally stopped. Then told him "Shut the fuck up and let other people talk. You know. Like GROWNUPS do."

At least he let Bill do his thing. Loved the magazines that endorsed Trump. And the New Rules was one of his best.

Trump produced his birth certificate in court to prove one of his parents wasn't an orangutan. Priceless. To my knowledge Bill Maher has not been compelled to give Trump $5 million dollars so he must have LOST his case. He's a LOOOOOOOOOSER!

Steve Moore was definitely unbearable, but he was just playing the role expected of Trump mouthpieces. It seems they are all acting on a common strategy, which is to:

      - keeping talking over anyone they are in dialog with, including reporters. This is an attempt to throw the other person off their game and derail their line of thinking
      - Immediately deflect on an agreed set of talking points. For example if Trump Foundation is questioned, immediately change conversation to Clinton's Foundation, or if Trump tax returns are brought up, deflect to 33,000 lost emails.
      - Never, ever admit any wrong doing
      - Whenever an African American is the other person in the conversation, incessantly talk about the danger they live in when walking out their door and that Donald is the only one who can help them by reinstating "Stop and Frisk"

The funny thing is, for critical thinkers, this strategy is terribly transparent, and only demonstrates that the Trump campaign has got nothing.
