So Trump TV might have just launched. Kinda.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign on Monday began airing a live nightly video news program, fanning speculation that Trump may seek to capitalize on his supporters’ zeal by launching a media network after November’s election.

“This is an effort to bring our message directly to you. You don’t have to take it through the media filter and the spin they put on it,” said Cliff Simms, the Trump adviser who co-hosted the program, which was broadcast on Facebook. “We plan to do this each and every night.”

Co-host Boris Epshteyn, a senior adviser to Trump, insisted the Trump-focused news show was not a test run for anything else. “The left-wing media’s even trying to spin this, believe it or not,” Epshteyn said. “They’re saying, well this is ‘Trump TV.’ That’s not what this is. This is our campaign, and most importantly, our candidate being out there and speaking directly to the voters.”

Well we have been hearing about this possibility for over a month now, and even though there are denials coming from the Trump camp this seems to me to be Trump's first toe dipping into the world of conservative journalism.

As you know there was also a segment aired during the last debate, and THAT one seemed to do well.

However last night's segment suffered due to lack of interest:

Without a debate to stir interest, ratings were down. The audience for Wednesday’s show peaked at 200,000 people, according to Politico. Monday’s program began with just shy of 60,000 viewers, and within 30 minutes half the audience had moved on.

Yeah I don't think that 30,000 viewers is going to be anywhere near enough to give Fox News a run for their money.

If you visit the HuffPo link you will see an incredibly amateurism segment that looks like it was put together by a middle school media club.  (From a poor school, in a bad neighborhood, without access to modern editing software.)

In fact as I watched it I thought less of Fox News and more of another fairly recent attempt to launch a personality driven media outlet.

Oh god, he really is Sarah Palin 2.0.

“No, I have no interest in Trump TV,” the Republican nominee said Tuesday on Cincinnati’s 700WLW. “I hear it all over the place. I have a tremendous fan base, we have a tremendous base. We have the most incredible people, but I just don't have any interest in that. I have one interest, that's on November 8.”

The survey, which was conducted online from Oct. 14 to Oct. 20, discovered that 49 percent of "Republicans would not accept the legitimacy of this election if their candidate doesn’t win. It also discovered that 67 percent of Republicans would perceive another candidate’s victory as the result of illegal voting or election rigging.

"There was some good news in the polls, though. Eighty seven percent of Republicans were confident that they would be able to exercise their right to vote, and that their votes would be counted fairly — suggesting that distrust of our electoral process is viewed as an external problem rather than a personal one.

"While 80 percent of Democrats also expressed confidence in the election results being accurate and legitimate, only 45 percent of Republicans said the same thing."

I hope that Palin and Trump are flat broke some day and have to rely on Obamacare so they know what it's like to be a "little people".

Maybe then they might appreciated the millions who have had life saving procedures.

After all, the health care executives can barely scrape by and are eating cat food on their millions each year, while desperate humans have to choose between food and medicine

Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump frequently touts his support among law enforcement and military figures.

On Monday, he told News4Jax that the United States military "conceptually" endorsed him and that "virtually every police department" in the country backed his bid for the presidency. During last week's third debate, Trump said his hardline stance on immigration and pledge to build a border wall had earned him an endorsement from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

But none of that is true.

Federal agencies are barred by law from endorsing candidates in political elections. Under the Hatch Act, only the president, vice president and high-ranking administration officials are allowed to dip their toe in partisan waters.

The Department of Defense, meanwhile, has its own set of guidelines that tightly restricts any active duty military or civilian personnel from publicly choosing political sides.

The same applies to Trump's repeated claims about ICE, the agency tasked with deporting undocumented immigrants. Trump has doubled down during campaign rallies and onstage at debates by saying that ICE endorsed him.

But the agency has not endorsed any candidate, nor is it able to...

    TRUMP LIBEL BULLY

    New York Daily News:
Trump a 'libel bully' who never won even one free-speech suit

    BY ADAM EDELMAN
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 12:11 PM

Donald Trump is a "libel bully" and a "loser" who, despite having "been involved in a mind-boggling 4,000 lawsuits," has never won a speech-related case, a bombshell report compiled by the American Bar Association said.

.... "Donald J. Trump is a libel bully. Like most bullies, he's also a loser, to borrow from Trump's vocabulary," the report stated. "Trump and his companies have been involved in a mind-boggling 4,000 lawsuits over the last 30 years and sent countless threatening cease-and-desist letters to journalists and critics. But the GOP presidential nominee and his companies have never won a single speech-related case filed in a public court."

By BRENT GRIFFITHS 10/25/16 12:41 PM EDT Updated 10/25/16 12:41 PM EDT

A top Republican on national security said he advised Donald Trump that Russia was using hacked information to influence the election process, but the GOP presidential nominee didn't appear to believe him.

“I think he has in his mind that there’s not the proof,” House Homeland Security Chairman Mike McCaul said Tuesday during a Texas Tribune event in Austin. "Now he hasn't had the briefing I had, but I made it clear that in my judgment it was a nation-state."...

‘Maybe I’ll just run. Maybe I’ll show them all.’

Donald Trump’s candidacy, the documentary suggested, may have arisen as a result of some jokes made by President Obama. During the height of Trump’s birther phase in 2011, Obama gave a speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, laying into Trump with joke after joke.

“It just kept going and going,” recalled Trump’s now-campaign staffer, Omarosa Manigault, “and he just kept hammering him. And I thought, ‘Oh, Barack Obama is starting something that I don’t know if he’ll be able to finish.’” Trump’s fellow adviser, Roger Stone, agreed: “I think that is the night that he resolves to run for president. I think that he is kind of motivated by it. ‘Maybe I’ll just run. Maybe I’ll show them all.’”

I'll bet he's pissed he was talked out of running against Obama. That's who he *really* wanted to run against.

But the GOP probably told him Rmoney was their guy and he'd never be nominated.

Probably also why Drumpf brings up Obama so often, like he's running against him instead of Hillary.

Donald Trump Never Paid For Ryan White’s HIV Treatment, His Mom Says

WASHINGTON ― The mother of Ryan White disputed claims on Monday that Donald Trump paid for her son’s medical treatment and warned that the GOP presidential nominee’s bullying ways are setting a bad example for children.

White contracted HIV at the age of 13 when receiving a tainted blood treatment for his hemophilia.

In an interview with the Indianapolis Star, White-Ginder said Trump never paid for Ryan’s treatment ― a rumor that has circulated for years.

White-Ginder has met Trump multiple times, once briefly when he came to her home after her son died. “Donald was here maybe five minutes and then left,” she said.

White-Ginder added that she doesn’t like the way Trump conducts himself.

“Not respecting women, making fun of the handicapped — that really concerns me,” she said. “How can we expect our kids not to bully when a person who is running for president bullies?”....

It means descended from a family of notability, wealth, and he can say it's a name chosen for the future and represents his children taking over the reins one day (at the same time, it's to claim that he comes from a significant ancestry--sorry, Donald, but you don't).
