Before yesterday's election a Catholic priest used an aborted fetus to make a case for choosing Donald Trump.

 Courtesy of WaPo:

Ahead of Tuesday’s presidential election, the Rev. Frank Pavone took an aborted fetus, laid it upon an altar Sunday and posted a live video on Facebook. Pavone, a Catholic priest who heads New York-based Priests for Life, said the fetus was entrusted to him by a pathologist for burial.

During an already heated and divisive campaign season, Pavone’s video has raised questions for some about what is appropriate antiabortion and political activism in the church. As of Monday afternoon, the video, which is 44 minutes long, had 236,000 views. In it, he holds up a poster of graphics of abortion procedures.

In Pavone’s Facebook appeal, he wrote, “we have to decide if we will allow this child killing to continue in America or not. Hillary Clinton and the Democratic platform says yes, let the child-killing continue (and you pay for it); Donald Trump and the Republican platform says no, the child should be protected.”

Okay first off, that's really gross.

Secondly if the Catholic church REALLY wanted to reduce the number of abortions in this country they would advocate for the use of birth control, instead of treating women like breeding stock and telling them that if they get knocked up it is God's will.

And thirdly what ever made this priest think that Donald Trump was going to be an anti-abortion advocate?

The only thing that Trump changes more than the person he calls "Mrs. Trump," is his position on abortion.

Apparently this stunt has really blown up Pavone's face and he is receiving criticism from all sides, and is actually in danger of being disciplined by the church .

First, this is so disrespectful himself to the fetuses. That is wrong in itself.

  2. Anonymous4:09 AM

This so-called priest has been in trouble with his diocese for a while now. They should have fired him long ago. He's not a Christian.

  3. Anonymous4:19 AM

Where in the hell did he get an aborted fetus from? It sounds illegal. What sick bastard.

      Try reading the first paragraph.

  4. Anonymous4:25 AM

All churches need to lose their tax exempt status.

  5. WA Skeptic5:06 AM

"Disciplined by his church"??? I'll believe that when I see it.

Education fucking matters. All the blue areas of FL are where the universities are. ALL OF THEM.

It's only going to get worse
...and it's going to be worse for a long

Only if we sit on our asses and do nothing, Randall. Don't give up!

To borrow a quote from Bette Davis (All About Eve), "Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night!"

If anyone thinks the Trump supporters are going to content with winning the election, just read comments at places like C4P: they're already howling for revenge, assassination, imprisonment. Between the election outcome and people like the priest in this story, it's enough to make me wish that the "Jesus is coming soon" crowd is right.

I think his message was (should have been), dRUMPf IS an aborted fetus.

I've decided not to set foot in another Catholic church for the rest of my life.

My husband's side of the family are Catholic so this is going to be awkward, but really, if I just keep going along with their wacky behavior like it's normal, it will only encourage them to continue.

Personally, I feel that almost every person like this idiot has the same problem. They refuse to acknowledge that Mankind is an ANIMAL. There is absolutely NOTHING holy or special about us other than our propensity to destroy and attack ourselves - and anything else in our way. And to be perfectly honest, even things that AREN'T in our way.

Oh, we have intelligence, but most of us seemingly don't know how to use it intelligently, so what's the point of having it?

  12. We are heading to the dystopian future of The Handmaid's Tale and The Hunger Games.

Authors and Filmmakers have warned us of this impending path if poor decisions are made. But some people were too stupid to understand the cautions or just didn't give a fuck.

  13. Donald Trump doesn't have to be anti-abortion personally.

After all, Mike Pence will be in charge of everything while Donald is Making America Great Again.

We know where Mike Pence stands.

Plus, Donald is going to put an anti-abortion judge on the Supreme Court. It won't matter how many times he flip flops. That damage will be done for decades.

    The Handmaid's Tale. Seriously.
