Courtesy of the Independent:
Sarah Palin has responded to Donald Trump winning the White House by likening it to the UK's vote to leave the EU.
"Well, see, Great Britain and America, see how we're hooking up now?" she told the Associated Press at a Trump rally as the results rolled in.
"We're going rogue and saying, you know, the people are going to take back control of our governance."
Ms Palin continued: "Really, we're going to be able to say, no, we don't want this globalism [...]
"We can't be telling other countries, other nations how to sweep their porches if we can't sweep our own yet.
"So we've got to take care of what's going on here within our borders, just like you all have done, especially recently."
When prompted over whether she saw a similarity between the surge of popularity of Mr Trump and the UKs decision to leave the EU, she said: "Yes, that's exactly the movement [...]
"And when, when the vote came down [for Brexit in the UK], I was looking at it like, watch.
"This is gonna come on over to the pond, and we're gonna have some of that - just bleed on over into America and certainly we see that tonight."
You know it is really only the anarchists, sociopaths, and bottom feeders who can really celebrate a Donald Trump victory.
And I think Sarah Palin qualifies as all three.
One thing we can know for sure is that this is going to revitalize her reputation and inspire her to get even more involved in politics and with the media.
She jumped on the Trump train early and shook her droopy pom poms for him until the bitter end.
Donald Trump keeps an enemies list, but he also rewards loyalty.
I hate to say it, but we are going to see a whole lot more of Ms. Palin in the years to come.
She sure has gained weight! Look at that ugly face!
ReplyDeleteHate the thought of her talking some more during the next four years. Will someone please sew her mouth shut?
Holy shit, are her looks gone!
Deletelooks like she got her lips inflated again. Wish they'd sewn 'em shut.
DeleteShe resembles "Madame," of Wayland and Madame fame, every day.
DeleteThose cheek implants!. Is it my imagination, or does her voice rise each time she gets her lips inflated? That screech is awful, she really belongs on the bed of a truck when she screeches. That is not an indoor voice.
DeleteYep, Gyphen, Palin is still an idiot and so is the new President - but he's "NOT MY PRESIDENT"!
DeleteHer head is all swollen like she's been in a fist fight. That's one fugly woman.
DeleteI'm going to stay away from the internet and TV for a few days, maybe weeks. Sorry to say that also means not reading here. I somehow have to maintain my sanity and if that means staying in a little bubble of ignorance then so be it. Thank you for all you do Gryphen. I've been reading here since before the 2008 election although I seldom contribute. I am devastated to my core by the results of this election.
ReplyDeleteLikewise.
DeleteLinda, I am with you. So very upset, I can hardly function. The US just showed the entire world how STUPID many of the citizens here are. tRump and PayMe are not the only dumb asses here in the USA.
Deletefeel the same, I need to disconnect from social media and political blogs so I can retain some form of sanity to deal with the next four years. As a woman, and a minority, married to a white man and have a mixed race toddler and live in VA all I can do is hope to make it through the next 4 years safely.
DeleteIt's hard to think of the Trump voters as even the same species. They can't even spot a glaringly obvious lying fake.
DeleteDitto. Going to focus on my world.
DeleteSame here, Linda @6:10, anon @6:37 and anon 6:39. My God, what a horrible, deplorable thing to happen.
DeleteLast night between ten and two, I pooped three times. (Sorry) There's nothing like fear however, to open your bowels. Who knew? "Scared shitless" is actually a thing.
DeleteOne friend said she can't stop crying. I wish I could start, but I'm stuck in shock on one thought.
Donald Trump, with the nuclear codes.
No one who voted for him will ever convince me they love their offspring. I've got a right-wing aunt in Florida who, earlier last night on Facebook, was saying leave it in God's hands, but I'll bet this morning she's plenty more chipper. I'd like to ask the old bitch some details of how Trump with leave a better world for her grandchilden, but even in her glee she'll surely default to the 'wisdom' of an invisible, unprovable deity.
Did the stock market rally back? I haven't even looked. I want to get in the car go somewhere, but at the same time, Martha & the Vandellas "Nowhere To Run" is playing in my head.
My hearing has been going south on me 20 years, and I need the commiseration I can find in the right places on the Internet, so IM will not see me gone, though Facebook can starting the days till I'm back.
Did Trump not promise somewhere along the way to gut the Affordable Care Act in his first hundred days? I suppose my insurance will be the first thing to go. I don't really believe he gives a shit about my same-gender marriage, but he'll want to consolidate power with those who do.
I don't need to ask anyone here to forgive my rambling this morning, do I?
My internal is playing, "Destination Anywhere". Word is the markets are actually rebounding quite a bit. Thanks for the Martha and the Vandellas whiff of palate-cleansing perfume, I love them.
DeleteI want to offer you some encouragement, dvlaries.
DeleteI, and MANY Americans DO care about your same-sex marriage and spousal rights. We also care about those who are different from us in many ways because we celebrate diversity. There's still a sheee-it load of us.
Give this a few days.
Let people reconcile this, let all the fall-out do just that...fall out.
Then we get our shit together and protect our 'everybody should be welcome and equal' values and fucking Advance Them.
When tRump's U trial starts, maybe he can be impeached? That would leave holier-than-thou
DeletePence in charge, though may not be a good thing.
I won't be watching the news for four years. I absolutely do not want to see or hear that Orangutan Man for the remainder of my life.
DeleteI'll only be reading Huffington Post Good News and Taste from now on. Even Green will depress me, listing all of the atrocities being committed on our nation's natural wonders.
I may have to add Netflix to my subscriptions as I've pretty much gone through HULU, HBO and PBS. A good chance to catch up on my long Acorn TV watchlist. DVDs are good too.
It will also give me a lot of time to practice and improve my watercolor as I have a workspace set up now.
With luck, I can ignore the Orange Menace for four years.
What he inflicts on our country is another matter. And I'll have to live with his destruction of our Supreme Court until I die.
Will Track Menard Palin come out of hiding like a little pussy and get a Trump pardon for beating a pregnant woman? Will Bristol Palin get a job as White House nursery chief with all of her bastard babies? Will Willow be Trump's Midget Ambassador? Will Piper finally attend school to learn how to read flashcards? Will Todd Palin join Jeffrey Epstein as a White House Pimp? When will Melania pose nude for foreign dignitaries?
ReplyDeleteDonald flashes his wife's nude photos to all, so she does not have to pose anymore. She looks upset, as though she just realized there is no quick divorce and exit from tRump Tower. Had he lost (which he should have) I am sure a divorce was their next move.
DeleteMost of the photos showing Trump's wife do not reflect a happy wife! She appears very unhappy. This is going to be a real interesting family to watch for four years.
DeleteOh, God, the thought of it makes me want to puke!
7:34 AM - I refuse to watch. As I told my husband this morning, the first SOTU speech I will miss in my lifetime.
Delete8:00 Me too. I refuse to watch this giant orange anus mouthed cretin give speeches. He is not smart, or educated. His kids are vile, too. Ivanka seems to believe that what her father says is true, and she IS hot. Take a good look, she ain't all that. Her brothers, Uday and Qusay are strange also, too'
DeleteOur White House will be renamed the KKK Whore House.
DeleteThe skies here are weeping. How appropriate!
As to Don the Con getting his tiny little fingers on the Nuke button: Yes, he will However, there are several safety steps in there, which will make it impossible for him to act on a whim. BUT! Putin now has his ear right there on the table with our National Security information sources. When Don the Con gets briefed, Putin gets first choice of information, and we (the US) will not be able to make one single move w/o him knowing in advance what will be doing. Unless there is a general uprising in our National Security and our military.
History will repeat itself until it's made right...here we go again on a larger scale!
DeleteDon the Con will have handlers for every thing in DC and not show up for work!
You're making me even more depressed than I already am.
ReplyDeleteThey get along now because Sarah knows her place. He says come, she comes. He says stay home, she stays home. He says jump, she jumps. But I can't imagine her doing that long term. Sooner or later she will break the rules and then all Hell will break loose. Those fireworks will be fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteHaving her screech from the bed of a truck should have told her SOMETHING!! No dignity in that woman at all. Those cheek implants look awful, also too.
Delete@643
DeleteHer cheeks are Yuuuge! No matter how much restylane dr. jackmeoff pumps into those lips(notice the newly lumpen lips) or her face, she can't escape the fate that is hers---to look just like her old Moms!
Bristol's implants look worse.
DeleteSo now we get this idiot in our lives again?
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but we are going to see a whole lot more of Ms. Palin in the years to come.
ReplyDelete---------
More Palin, more Ghouliani, more Newt, more Kellyanne, More Preibus, more... I can't go on.
Why oh why didn't Obama turn out to be despot they all claimed he was and taken over the presidency for life??
She wasn't in the election results room or on stage after with Trump, right?
ReplyDeleteThe delay in the concession speech doesn't reflect well on Clinton, imo. It was bad enough to tell her crowd to go home then call Trump to concede less than an hour later. She should have been in front of the cameras within an hour of that call. Now it's almost 11 AM eastern time and still no sign of her even coming out of the hotel. Obviously a stinging disappointment, but come on. Put on your big girl pantsuit and just get it over with.
ReplyDeleteLook, I''m as disappointed as you. That last sentence was a bit disrespectful of Mrs Clinton.
DeleteI did want to hear her at least thank us for our support. It wasn't easy around here for us Clinton supporters in red NC.
Maybe they are waiting on info about how much Putin influenced the elections.
DeleteLike Trump would have? Right.
DeleteShe did nothing different in this regard - check your history 6:44 AM! John Kerry did the same thing - gave his speech the next day.
DeleteI totally support and supported Hillary Clinton -
I truly am now worried for America and the pending dictatorship of Donald Trump.
Wow, maybe she waited until the majority of Americans would be awake. I don't think waiting until 8:30am on the west coast is a bad thing at all. So why don't you put on your big girl panties and realize that many of us aren't in the same time zone as you.
DeleteOK, Mrs Clinton made her speech and it was GREAT. So let's get on with the work of not being dragged back into a world lit only by fire, shall we? Game ON.
DeleteHillary poured herself heart and coul into this campaign. We ALL know she was the best candidate, out classing tRump on EVERY level. After all that, she lost to a bunch of red neck, gun toting, bible thumping low life people. All indications were that this was her win. What the HELL happened? This election was rigged, tRump was right about that. Scummy tRump family will be in the WH, painting everything gold and making the place look trashy. Maybe tRump will put his $20,000 portrait of himself in the entrance? He can put nude photos of Maleria along the hallways, and have Ivanka give him lap dances at the State dinners?
DeleteAren't there absentee ballots to be counted yet? Also, too, it ain't quite over until the fat lady sings - Dec. 10, when the actual votes are being cast that will be the important ones - the electors...
DeleteI worry about the very nice people who work in the White House. They are long-term employees who serve whatever First Family comes along. They are federal employees and I wonder if Trump will require them to sign confidentiality agreements? Or if he will simply replace them by his own servants.
DeleteI am also ashamed to think that Melania Trump will be our First Lady. She has lied, plagiarized and posed for nude photographs. I do not think that she will devote herself to helping children eat or learn better or to making lives easier for military families. Both Michelle Obama and Jill Biden were superb in their positions. This country will not see the like of them for many, many years.
Beaglemom
Why should she?
DeleteShe did her job and conceded.
It's over. She doesn't "owe" this fucking country anything else.
On behalf of Hillary Rodham...fuck you.
I just started watching the news today. No matter what flaws can be found with Hillary's campaign, to me, it all comes down to the fact that several million people who could have voted decided not to vote. They should not have needed Obama-level inspiration to get off their asses and get to the polls. They knew what was at stake. Now, surely they are stunned.
ReplyDeleteI don't care about the percentages when the person on TV says that Hillary got this % of a group's vote and Trump got that % of a group's vote and these percentages are based on the number of people in a group who voted. What I care about is how many people in a group were able to vote and how many of them did and did not vote. So many votes did not get cast last night and what I care about is having those numbers looked at. I want to know the percentage of whites, blacks, etc. who could not be bothered to go vote.
Take that finger you're pointing at other people and bend it right back at yourself. That's what you get for spiking the ball before you cross the goal line, folks. People here and all over crowed "85% chance she'll win." That was the wrong message to send to voters in Cleveland, Detroit, Columbus, where it was raining and people knew the lines were long.
DeleteWhy? What difference will it make?
DeleteSeveral thousand voted for a dead gorilla. You can't out vote stupid.
DeleteAdd into this equation mix the fact that almost 900 polling places got cut in predominantly minority (i.e. black and Hispanic - democratic leaning)areas, and you have the perfect storm.
DeleteI blame the Dems for not foreseeing this and putting a stop to it a year or two ago.
6:49am
DeletePerhaps when the new "stop and frisk" laws are enacted nationwide the police can ask the African Americans whether or not they voted, while they are frisking them.
She knows better than to go against him. Trump is finally someone that will control her IF he even wants her around!
ReplyDeleteMcCain was basically afraid of her and let her get away w/murder.
She is a mental and emotional mess which has been proven time and time again throughout the years.
And, I seriously doubt that Trump is going to include her in any high position in his Administration.
Yes, the bottomfeeders is it. Trump has been embroiled in so many lawsuits and investigations that are criminal and show him to be debased, and yet millions of people didn't care. All the harm he has done to so many decent people didn't matter. The assaults and all the cheating on Melania, including when she was pregnant, is just normal to the yahoos and bottomfeeders of this country. Women's rights don't matter. Non-white's rights don't matter. Cheating people out of their livelihood doesn't matter. And so on. There are so many things about Trump that are horrible. Yet millions of people just don't care. That is scary.
ReplyDeleteIt is scary.
DeleteFacit that young white males can draw from this election: if you are white, you can get away with being a rapist and a sexual predator - you will even get rewarded!
DeleteHere's something for the rapist population to consider: It's legal to kill your rapist during the attack in many states, and in those it isn't, a jury usually won't convict a rape victim for offing their attacker, during or after a rape.
DeleteThat's because his voters voted for someone who best represented their values. Masoginistic, racist, immoral, uneducated cheating assholes.
DeleteTrump is not much different than a Hitler or Stalin: , a narcissist, and a colossal sybaritic megalomaniac who views the Presidency as the ultimate status symbol and tool to punish others, enrich the wealthy, and run rough shod over democracy and the rule of law.
ReplyDeleteThat Palin would support and gloat over this is no surprise, as she's drawn to the stench of this horrible person Trump like flies to shit.
I fear you're right Gryphen, he'll probably give her some role that will keep her media profile going, much to the detriment of the USA
I really don't see Trump appointing Palin to anything. He knows she's not bright and would bring nothing to his Administration.
DeleteI see Alaskans stuck w/her forever!!
He better die in office.
DeleteBecause this is like a drug to him. He isn't going to want to give up the presidency. And he'll want something even more powerful. But what?
He's going to need a bigger "fix."
I think he is going to start "annexing" stuff to increase his "empire". Little countries and islands that can't defend themselves. They'll just be "territories", not states.
And yes, there will be war. Because he is going to want to exercise his Commander in Chief franchise. He is just itching to launch a nuke. You know. Because he can.
Trump didn't invite Sarah Palin and her brood to watch the election results with his inner circle?
ReplyDeleteAren't they good enough to hang out with the Trumps?
Wake up Sarah, you were used.
She was there.
DeleteWell I think I will finally have lots of time to catch up on all my Netflix. I was texting with my daughter in Singapore all night, she was frantic as WIFI at hostels ain't that great...we need a new word for what happened. Every horrible adjective doesn't come close. I have read dozens of "what happened" blogs, and I agree with most of them. This election was stolen...again, just in a different way. The media played a huge part in all of this, starting with the primaries. They all gave Trump unlimited access to "phone it in" daily, no one cared about his business resume (failures), lawsuits, taxes, lies in general and always showing his rallies in full. After Benghazi was done and proved nothing, they went after Clinton's e mails with a vengeance. Non stop coverage of the server, blah blah blah. Pay for play SOS, paid speeches, linking Clinton Foundation with that stupid book Clinton Cash...they crucified her daily. Then we had the FBI pulling that letter krap twice....Russia hacking the DNC and Wikileaks being controlled by Russia and the NY FBI leaking whatever. Lets not forget the GOP 4 year plan to suppress the vote ever since Obama won twice. They purged voter roles, got rid of polling places, shortened days/time and voter ID bullshit. Trump managed to get the white non voter out...period. He used the simplest language, repeating over and over dog whistles telling the white males what they wanted to hear. You lost your job, your not rich because of non white people and women belong barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteFor the 2nd time, the president was elected without the popular vote....Bush.2
There will be such buyer's remorse this time around but it won't be pleasant to watch. America will become another 3rd world nation...the world is reacting today and it isn't pretty.
X 1,000! We can thank Putin AND the GOP FBI for the mess that is about to happen. Welcome to WWIII.
DeleteThe powers that bbe know tRump is not an intelligent person. He will be manipulated by others. They KNEW they could not control Hillary, she is way too intelligent to be fooled. tRump is what Putin calls a "useful idiot" just like PayMe.
Delete+++++++++++++++++++!!!
DeleteG. W. Bush is delighted.
DeleteHe's out of the dog house. Trump has guaranteed that Bush will never be considered close to the WORST PRESIDENT of the United States.
Or should we say, what *used* to be the United States.
I hope her family embarrasses the sh@t out of him... I didn't think this result would happen, nor did my stepson and grandson. Three generations. My husband DID think it would happen after Bernie was rejected. Still, I don't feel Bernie was that big a factor. Simple white Americans wanted those good paying simple jobs to return. (They won't.) I guess I'll be pondering this all day. I'd appreciate any thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThe media was relentless painting Clinton as a liar, while, they let Trump get away with everything short of murder. No tax returns, no mention of his upcoming RICO trial, no followup on Melania's cheating on her legal a=status and copying TWO speeches, no investigation into his Russian and Chinese loans, and on and on. The man is an actual criminal and the media and FBI just helped him into the WH. We are doomed.
DeleteI've wondered why any woman could ever bring herself to vote for Donald Trump. Those interviewed usually said that it's because he's a "businessman" and will make things better for everyone. Well, it's been proved again and again that businessmen and politics do not equal good government. And especially a "businessman" like Donald Trump whose filed at least two bankruptcies in the past six months and who's not nearly as wealthy as these foolish women think. Trump is not going to make the white working class wealthy. He doesn't even see them.
DeleteBeaglemom
Australia has a MANDATORY voter law. USA should too, especially after this fiasco.
ReplyDeleteNo we shouldn't. People get to exercise their rights as they see fit.
DeleteI understand the displeasure that drove your comment, 7:13AM, but a mandatory voter law kinda flies in the face of voting being a right and a privilege.
DeleteNo. No mandatory voter law. However, a mandatory test to prove that you understand what you are voting for. a mandatory test to prove that you understand how our government works.
Delete'
'
'
@8:57AM and the other side would use that as a literacy test hurdle to voting. That's already been tried in the South.
DeleteNo, sorry.
What we should have is automatic voter registration. If you apply for a driver's license or any sort of ID card, then you are automatically registered to vote.
DeleteMail in ballot should also be automatic. You want to drop it off at a polling place? Fine. But everyone gets a mail in ballot. Prepaid postage, no stamp needed.
Voter participation would go way up.
This morning I thought about Brexit too. But I also know that the British politicians that hyped it mostly fled from their positions once it passed and the lies that fooled people into voting for it were exposed. So, it's not quite the same thing, Sarah Palin, although I'm willing to suspect some computer skulduggery in turning those solidly blue states red.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
True. All of Trump's lies were exposed BEFORE the election. Way before We knew exactly what we were getting. His three debates were horrendous. The Tweets, the audio, the video. On every front Trump was exposed.
DeleteAnd still assholes voted for the bastard.
You just can't fix stupid.
They got the president they deserved. But we all have to suffer for it.
This is the kind of thing I want to know about. In NC the black vote was down by 8.7%. It was up by 2.3% in FLA, up by 3.7 in GA, and up by 18.5% in LA. In NC there was a GOP attempt to make voting difficult for blacks, and it succeeded.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/2016-election-day/black-turnout-down-north-carolina-after-cuts-early-voting-n679051
I want to know where all suppression happened.
I also want to know where it didn’t happen but Dem whites, women, minorities, age ranges didn’t get out and vote but could have. I have sympathy for anyone who had to endure the GOP and Republican govt people in their states making it harder to vote. But I have no sympathy for anyone who simply didn’t bother voting.
What happened, and I feared it when she did, was that HIllary picked a white male as her running mate. And a running mate that was much too conservative.
Delete@7:48 I wonder if you're onto something. A Clinton/Warren ticket would have been dynamic, to say the least(and my fave). If she had chosen Sanders as her running mate, she might have had most of those supporters' votes. In any case, liberals unite!
DeleteHillary lost Florida by the same 2% that Johnson got.
Delete@ 8:21am
I disagree, the VP should have been a minority, but why would you, another white person listen. Instead you want to rant about the percentage of the minority vote with your blinders on.
The White Male was/is not able to handle ONE woman at the top. Pray tell how you think the White Male would have reacted to TWO women at the top?!
Delete8:52 has need of a parachute for all the assumptions they seem to leap towards.
DeleteI'm Cherokee. I'd like to have seen Mrs Clinton chose a vp with Native blood, but there were none she looked at that I know of.
And you accuse me of ranting....I rather think I'm indulging in Monday morning quarterbacking. I realize that you think my approach really isn't helpful. I understand you're upset, no need to fling your poo at one who doesn't want to attack you.
8:59AM
I'm not terribly concerned with the feelings of white men being made uncomfortable by women in a position of power. I can tell you however, that those 2 ladies could have handily dispatched any of the macho men they came into conflict with, and without even so much as smearing their lipstick.
Warren DOES indeed have native blood, she just isn't an official member of a tribe.
DeleteI think the Clinton/Kaine ticket was a good one. The media deliberately failed to cover their campaigns adequately. While Trump's speeches were shown on cable news almost daily, none of Hillary Clinton's or Tim Kaine's were. All of the times that Hillary Clinton made policy addresses, she was ignored by the media, usually because Trump was making some grotesque accusation about an ethnic group or menacing reporters.
DeleteAnd I'm afraid that too many Americans don't think that it's important to vote or think about the consequences of their votes. Just think how much more President Obama could have accomplished had he had Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress all eight years. Just think how much mayhem the GOP can now wreck on the American people because the GOP still controls them. This travesty was not Hillary Clinton's fault, it was not Tim Kaine's fault. It was brought about by the ignorance of the great American electorate, guided by the substance-starved, headline-craving media. Those factors created the monster that emerged victorious yesterday.
Beaglemom
I hope the minorities that didn't bother to vote for Hillary because of some piddly butthurt are going to be happy living with national stop and frisk. Trump's Supreme Court pick will make sure it's declared Constitutional and so, legal.
DeleteShould I be afraid for our country or should the alt-right get prepared for HUUUUUGE let-downs? Or both?
ReplyDeleteBoth.....
DeleteMichelle Obama, you will forever be my First Lady. I will not accept a Ukranian, barely speaky dee Englee porn queen. Ever.
ReplyDeleteI will never accept Trump as our president who will now become the GOP puppet dictating our lives. Is it true that every cloud has a silver lining? I need some hope but today I just don't see any. I am done!
DeleteMe too.
DeleteShe's Slovenian.
Deleteshe's not Ukrainian. Slovenian
DeleteUkranian, Slovenian...who cares.
DeleteNot, nor ever will be, my First Lady.
To be honest, there IS a difference between Ukraine and Slovenia. But the important thing is: Melanoma is the daughter of a former relatively high communist officer, and she also took communist indoctrination in her one and only semester at the university. And this former communist operative lives high and dry in the Trump Tower! (How did he get his immigration visa?!)
DeleteIn our house we just call her Euro Trash.
Delete7:57-it seems incredible that the evangelicals bow down to a man who has cheated on three wives, bragged about it, is not sorry, and has kids by all of them. His current wife has nude pictures all over the web, and cheated with Donnie on Marla Maples, so she's a common w****. But they all just forgave him for every sin. How swell. She will not be my First Lady either, and I frankly do not believe they won legitimately. I think there were machines flipping ballots.
DeleteSlovenian Mrs does not want to be your First Lady, either. She will stay holed up in NYC.
DeleteHow shall Melanomia be labeled?
DeleteFirst Trollop?
First Slut?
First Illegal?
Putin's watchdog?
First HOSTAGE?
Thankfully, I don't think we'll see or hear much from her.
Putin's Popsicle more like it! Suck baby!
DeleteWow. A lot of people thought America was exceptional. Well it is but not in a good way. United States of Hate pretty much sums it up. A wall, a Muslim ban, deportation force, overturn Roe v Wade - yup, lots of look forward to.
ReplyDeleteI will add foreigners be servants, women and girls second class citizens, blacks hung from trees again, bullying will reign. Sexual assault not only permissible but to be applauded.
DeleteJonathan Alter just summed up what the election result means to me "last night decency lost".
Also too, all the little evangelical kids running around saying "grab her in the pussy", because hey, if it's good enough for POTUS it's good enough for them. And how many young lads will have their first sexual experience using nude photos of the first lady? That's gotta be a first!
DeleteI worry for our American friends that are black, Mexican, Asian, handicapped and gay under Trump's dictatorship.
DeleteI hope those communities speak up immediately if something happens to any of them. Remember - Trump said he would shut down our media which would allow him to create havoc on all minorities with it not getting in the media.
I truly fear for our country and do not support Trump as our POTUS. I voted for Hillary Clinton and still maintain there is no comparison between the two - I trust her and I do not trust Trump.
God bless Hillary Clinton. Satan supports Donald Trump!
What a dope head. Clintn now speaking. Still here and still in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteHillary gave an outstanding speech that brought tears to my eyes.
DeleteDamn, but I'm worried for our country w/Trump as our leader!
Cannot imagine what President Obama is going through in having to turn the reigns over to Trump - to a man who will void and demolish all President Obama has accomplished these past years as our wonderful and outstanding POTUS.
Trump and the Republican party want to wipe out all successes President Obama has accomplished so that his presidency can pretty much be negated for the history books. Plus, they hate the fact President Obama is black!
I would not be surprised to learn at some point - to include through Trump taking his oath of office - where Trump will privately say some nasty racists things directly to President Obama that will only be in his earshot and heard by him!
Trump detestss President Obama!!!
The first black President in the history of the US will have to give the keys to the nation to a P.O.S. who got endorsed by the KKK...
Deletereins, not reigns. A King reigns. Reins are used to guide things.
DeleteMelanoma, good luck on sharing what is actually not a very big apartment with Donald for the next 4 yrs. Oh, and you may actually have to care part time for that ugly kid of yours. There will be not enough rooms to be able to hide from your husband for weeks at a time.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they'll even reside in the White House? Remember when Arnold was Gov of CA he and his family stayed in their home and SoCal and he commuted to Sacto.
DeleteShe can be like Mrs. McCain and live out of state. I can't believe HE got another six years. Good Lord. And little "I dislike being a Senator so I won;t run again" just got the same six years to do nothing for anyone but his banker. The GOP is truly insane. Down to the last voter. Half the country has no more idea about running a country for the good of the people than Trump does. That is terrifying.
Delete"Not a very big apartment"???? HAHAHAHA!!!
DeleteThe private family living area of the White House is almost 20,000 square feet.

DeleteYou are off by about 17,000 sq ft.
It is 3,000 square ft., plenty big for most families, but not the tRump's who really don't have much of a relationship. Add in whoever is actually raising Baron and that will be quite small for them.
She and Barron might stay in Trump Tower.
DeleteIn fact Donald might stay there too.
Mike Pence will move into the White House. After all, it will really be him running the country.
The worst is having to live through the BS coming out of all these Trump buffoons' mouths --and the consequences--for the next 4 yrs.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that we have the impeachment process if he gets in office and does horrid things as he said he would and breaks the law! He would not last under that scenario and I'd be one of the first to jump on that bandwagon.
DeleteHe will be under observation as he's never experienced throughout his life and it's going to drive him nuts! Remember how he hates being countered or questioned!
I doubt if the GOP-controlled House or Senate will ever undertake an investigation of their president. And Trump is theirs.
DeleteBeaglemom
Just wait until they start whining about all Trump's broken promises and recognizing the lies.
DeleteThen you can shut them up with TOLD YOU SO and then ignore them.
Fucking assholes got the president they deserve. They have no right to bitch about anything. Assholes, all of them.
Well he can hire inbreds and see what the country will become, blight, no man on mars nothing.
ReplyDeleteman on Mars? We'll have no contraception, no medical care, no salaries, no pensions, no SS, no EPA, no CDC, leaded water, fracked ground, unbreathable air, and we'll be at war within six months. Mars is the least of our worries, dear. I'd like for my grandkids to grow up in America, not AmeriKKKa.
Delete9:05AM
DeleteWe're already warring with several countries that have not attacked us.
We already have leaded water in several cities, not just Flint. We already have fracked ground and the resultant earthquake damage isn't covered by the causative corporations who are subsidied by Federal Gov't. The EPA is a joke, salaries and pensions don't even cover the basics of life and working adults aren't even able to live paycheck to paycheck right now.
It's not good Right Now.
Granted, the Orange One isn't promising to make it better.
See with opened eyes. That way we can work together to fix these problems you listed, and hand America's kids something better than what we have.
Okay. I've kinda got my oxygen back again. In all fairness to my fellow American, I know how it felt for you when Obama won those two times. It felt like the end of the world as you know it. That's how I felt last night. Everything, I grew up believing was disqualified last night. Do I think Donald will make a good president? Time will tell. I'm betting no. Like Hillary's emails, his misogyny is on his back for life. Will we pay the price? Hell yes. We have two months to adjust and figure out how we personally fit into this equation. I almost didn't send my kids to school this morning. I mean what's the point? But the kids wanted to go to school so I let them. You know how Donald promises "he" will heal the national divide, I hope he really has a plan. But I just can't seem to forget the platform on which he campaigned. I wonder, was this a show? Or is he and his that hateful? Is fascism now a reality? Okay, breath. Now, sign off. And think for two months before they swear him in. Think, we had a good run, America. We had plans that were inclusive. Now...I don't know. We shall see. I remember someone commenting on this blog that if Donald wins, he will actually make it worst for those that voted for him. We shall see. Hope he has a good plan. Doubt it. But hope. Hope when there is no hope.
ReplyDeleteDon't take all your marbles and go home, stay and fight this orange bastard with us!!
DeleteDon't tuck your head and hide, FIGHT!
8:18am
DeleteNice thought but there's not a lot left to do with a Republican POTUS and Congress and a Supreme Court that will soon be turning very conservative.
These 4-8 years will just be watching and waiting, at least for me.
I truly feel for the people that this will impact the most; those who will undergo ramped up "stop and frisk", those who will see their families split apart when parents, one or both, are deported, minorities and gays that will see their rights stripped to the bone, that's going to be hard to watch, but this was the last chance for the hateful old white people to make their voices heard and they did it, and it ain't gonna work out the way most of them thought it would.
8:18: HOW???
DeleteLike Stephen King, it is time for me to go silent for awhile and mend this broken heart.
ReplyDeleteGiuliani,Gingrich, Palin, oh, my..............
It's time to publish any and all Palin dirt you've been holding back on.
ReplyDeleteWe need to do what we can to keep Palin out of Trump's cabinet.
Trump doesn't like drug and alcohol abuse - can you start there?
Trump won't put a Sarah Palin in his Administration. He knows she's not the brightest and would not want her disruption.
DeleteTrump's not very bright either, Anon at 9:01 am. But I think he wants to save some jobs for his sons.
DeleteBeaglemom
8:15. Would your just fucking stop it. He doesn't have any new or additional dirt on the Palin's. Period.
DeleteSlightly O/T but still related, this excellent comment by Ezra Klein on VOX
ReplyDeleteThere is danger in Trump. He’s a man with authoritarian impulses, a conspiracy theorist’s bent, and a taste for vengeance.
He has an alarming temperament, little impulse control, and less decency. He has a demagogue’s instinct for finding enemies and a bully’s instinct for finding their weaknesses.
He is uninterested in policy, unrestrained by shame, and unbound by norms. He surrounds himself with sycophants and enablers, and he believes both the facts and the falsehoods he finds congenial.
Ezra Klein is one of the top leftie journo's to tell his fellow liberal journalists to leave the Trig Truther 'rumors' to the tin foil hat folks.

Trending #NotMyPresident. Idiocracy is here. Goodbye middle class, poor class and womens' rights. I hope Trump hates living in the white house prison where everything is not gold plated..yet.
ReplyDeleteJust wait until Trump sees the scrutiny he'll be under constantly once in the White House.
DeleteWill be interesting to see how publically he cuts off certain media OR if he'll actually be able to do so.
He is not going to want the constant coverage - as he won't be able to get away with things as he has throughout his life.
I hope life in the White House is pure Hell for him and his family.
What I worry about is that there will be no one to tell him "No, the President can't do that." Who will say that to him?
DeleteWrap your mind around this: The first black President of the US has to hand the keys to the White House to a P.O.S. white guy who was endorsed by the KKK...
ReplyDeleteWrap your heads around the fact that President Obama has to meet and greet the asshole and racist Donald Trump at one of the entrances to the White House. Cannot imagine!
DeleteHe looks orange to me.
DeleteWe've come a long way baby-backwards.
DeleteI hope Obama tells him what he really thinks of him, if he hasn't already done so. Obama is such a public symbol of all that is classy, but in private he has the right to tell Trump he's an asshole and that his birtherism crap and everything he's done to women and hardworking Americans makes him a piece of shit. I hope Obama tells Trump that he makes him sick and that he doesn't deserve to step foot in the White House.
DeleteWrap your mind around the fact that the trump clan will be moving into public housing abandoned by a family of color...
DeleteChange can be uncanny at times.
On the upside, once that wall isn't built, those same rural white voters are gonna be pissed!
ReplyDeleteThey'll be pissed about a lot of things, including the jobs that don't come to their coal towns--this so-called "clean coal" is a lie and these people who refuse to accept it and move on into this century are delusional.
DeleteThis morning I was listening to some finance types on CNN talking about how prices on products are going to really rise based on Trump's trade beliefs and the tariffs he wants to add on imports and how much more costly it will be to make a lot of things here. Some things you can at a good price but many you can't, and we all know how blue collar white America loves their super-low prices at Walmart and Target and the like and have never supported local businesses because they want the cheapest things from China. Wherever things now get made, whether overseas or here, they will cost more. The Trump fans will not smile and be proud of buying something made in the USA. They'll be bitching about the cost.
When their healthcare is gone and there is no "something better."
DeleteMy president Barack Obama won handily twice by inspiring the better angels in us. Donald Trump won last night by inspiring the most bitter and angry and bigoted among us. The devastation we all feel especially combined with the Obamas exiting the White House can be and is overwhelming......today.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow however, each one of us have to get up and fight. Fight for justice. Fight for equality. Fight for right. Trump has four years and yes with the house and senate he and they can do much damage to our causes. We can limit the damage to four years. We can take back the White House. Yes we can.
I am even today encouraging the words of MY President Obama to pour over my disappointed heart to lift me high over the mud storm of this day. We elected him twice and we proved to ourselves that yes we can effect change. Today eat drink sleep cry moan and despair. Tomorrow get up and resolve to fight for all of us but especially for those who are the most vulnerable. Each of us can continue to effect change everyday by not standing silently by while witnessing injustice. We can and should and will lift up our fellow citizens and protect them and ourselves and our rights to be free and equal.
Many states have already and will continue to pass laws for the betterment of their citizens. Work on the state and local level to make your voices heard. Together we are stronger and yes we can. No one can take away my heart no one can take away my will no one can take away my voice.

Palin Speaks at the Trump Party
Wednesday, November 9th, 12:57 a.m.
Sarah Palin stood proudly at the entrance to the Trump victory party, at the Midtown Hilton hotel in Manhattan, greeting well-wishers.
I'M NOT SURE DID SARAH PALIN WIN?
HOW MUCH WAS SHE INVOLVED IN THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN? WHY IS SHE STANDING AT THE DOOR GREETING PEOPLE?
DIDN'T TRUMP BENCHED HER BUT RECENTLY TOLD HER TO SPEAK AT A COUPLE OF BARS?
“It’s like a vindication,” she said.
YES THAT'S OUR SARAH. FIRST THOUGHT THAT COMES TO HER MIND IS VINDICATION.
“It’s crazy good. I have predicted he would win.
SARAH PALIN: "I predicted he would win"
SARAH THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM
Well those that predicted she would be a Wal Mart greeter...

ReplyDelete"We can't be telling other countries, other nations how to sweep their porches if we can't sweep our own yet.
-Sarah Palin
Wait a second, didn't Sarah Palin tell America how to raise their children?
Doesn't she lead Wasilla with bastard grandchildren?
Then there was the infamous Palin Familia Brawl, domestic abuse beating a pregnant woman, a divorce, breaking and entering, underage pregnancy, one daughter who has never been married has two kids from two different sperm donors, no kids in college.
So don't tell America how to sweep our porches (raise a family) when your child rearing porch is filthy.

TRUMP BOLSTERS FOREIGN-POLICY TEAM BY ADDING CARSON AND PALIN
ReplyDeleteBy Andy Borowitz , AUGUST 2, 2016
NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—After stumbling badly on an interview question about Ukraine, the Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump attempted on Tuesday to reassure voters about his geopolitical expertise by adding the retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and the former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to his team of foreign-policy advisers.
“Donald Trump always said that, as President, he would surround himself with the best people,” Trump’s spokesperson, Hope Hicks, said.
“In Governor Palin and Dr. Carson, Mr. Trump now has the Dream Team.”

Sarah wants to be Sec of Energy in Washington DC. Isn't that a little too far from Wasilla? I mean Sarah turned down leaving her Facebook job in Wasilla to speak at the RNC because it was too far to speak.
ReplyDeleteCNN
Donald Trump: Sarah Palin won't speak at RNC because Alaska is too far away
(CNN) It's a long way from Alaska to Ohio -- a bit too long for Sarah Palin, apparently.
The former Alaska governor was a noticeable absence from a partial list of speakers announced to speak at next week's Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
In an interview with the Washington Examiner on Thursday, Trump said that Palin was asked to speak, but that the distance ultimately precluded her from making the trip.
"It's a little bit difficult because of where she is," Trump said, referring to Palin's home state of Alaska. "We love Sarah. Little bit difficult because of, you know, it's a long ways away."
Sarah Palin how is Trig doing?
ReplyDeleteWho?
It's time to let the truth out about her. Before it's too late and she takes a Cabinet post.
ReplyDelete'Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who endorsed Trump in January and this week stumped for him in Detroit, Michigan, a state he's likely to win, is reportedly being considered for the job of secretary of the interior.
DeletePalin is known for her trademark line 'drill, baby, drill,' and her love of hunting game. '
per The Daily Mail
It won't matter now.
DeleteThere's no way in the world that Trump will reward Palin for anything. She did nothing for him but a few half-asssed speeches and delivered nothing. She's the trailer-trash end of his constituenancy, and he has lots of representatives of those. He doesn't need her or her baggage or her terrible voice or lack of intelligence or knowledge of the English language. He already has enough of those.
ReplyDeleteBury this bitch, with her dirt.
ReplyDeleteDon't know about that. Trump has shown that he doesn't like being mocked on Saturday Night Live, and you gotta admit that Tina Fey made people laugh at him when he invited Palin to give that crazy speech. He isn't any smarter than her, with a 200 word vocabulary, but at least he doesn't mangle the English language like Palin.
ReplyDeleteAnd Trump has spent his whole life trying to break into the wealthy elite..........rubbing elbows with Sarah Palin just emphasizes his own vulgarity and crudeness.
Also, I'm thinking that Ivanka will be the power behind the throne, and I doubt she thinks much of the Palin family.
Narcissists don't like being around other narcissists. Trump can't stand it when Palin tries to co-opt "his" attention. I don't think he'll want the competition.
ReplyDeleteI see where some States like California is calling for secession, I'm from PA, where do I sign up?
ReplyDeleteSorry. No can do. In Texas v. White in 1869 the Supreme Court held that the Constitution does not permit states to unilaterally secede from the union: The Articles of Confederation created a perpetual union between the states.
DeleteSounds like a good time to take advantage of new Mary Jane laws in your state. Make a bundle of $$ and hunker down the next 4yrs. or head for Canada. Trump doesn't have the power he wishes he did. Hang in there, folks.
DeleteLet us become the collective burr under Trump, Palin and the GOP's saddle. They obstructed Obama all they could. It's their turn now.
ReplyDeleteListen to our heroes- Warren,Obama and Clinton. There is nothing to be gained as a nation by obstruction for the sake of obstruction. We are not going to be like the Republicans.
DeleteAnd just how are we going to do that with a Republican Congress, a conservative supreme court and an absolute idiot in the Whitehouse?
DeletePlease Gryph, take down that picture of the gloating witch.
ReplyDeleteI think the pic captures her role perfectly!
DeleteOpen wide Sarah!

ReplyDeleteYep, Granny got new lips and cheeks to dribble that regurgitated garbage . . .
DeleteThose huge cheekbones look like giant cysts along with the mega lips. Not at all a purty female.
DeleteIf you thought Sarah Palin stalked President Obama, you haven't seen nothing yet. Sarah Palin gonna be callin' and stalkin' Trump day and night as if she's his best piece of ass.
ReplyDeleteMelania: Next time that crossed eye bitch calls at all hours of the night I'm gonna fuck up your little girlfriend and then I'm gonna fuck you up. You better believe that Jack.
"But when it comes to women to include, Politico also reported that Trump is coming up relatively empty. That’s why Palin’s name has started cropping up in speculative talks about who will fill certain roles"
ReplyDelete(Does that give you a warm fuzzy feeling that they must find a woman but can't find anybody so they are considering settling on our Sarah from Alaska?)
The entire country is waiting patiently (or trying to) to see who Trump picks as his main advisors as he embarks on his potential term as president. And one name being thrown around? Sarah Palin, the former vice president nominee for the Republican Party and long-time Trump loyalist. But will Palin be the Interior secretary? Some people are speculating that she might get a seat at the Trump table soon enough.
But when it comes to women to include, Politico also reported that Trump is coming up relatively empty. That’s why Palin’s name has started cropping up in speculative talks about who will fill certain roles, like the Interior secretary or his secretary of Energy. Palin was eager to talk about the idea of having a place in Trump's cabinet as far back as September 2015. At the time, she told CNN, "Energy is [her] baby. Oil and gas and minerals — those things that God has dumped on this part of the earth for mankind's use instead of us relying on unkind foreign nations for us to import their resources." Of course, what Palin is maybe forgetting here is that the Energy Department doesn’t actually regulate oil and gas development.
So maybe a different position would be better for her to tackle. Something like the Interior secretary might be a better fit for the former governor of Alaska, especially since its main job is to oversee the Bureau of Land Management, the USGS, and the National Park Service. That sounds right up her alley with all of that mineral talk, that’s for sure. Plus, it sounds like Trump is pretty keen on the idea of having Palin as one of his top officials. In January 2016, he told Today exclusively that there would "certainly" be a role in his cabinet for Palin
