Trump supporters deface Maryland church with racist message.

Courtesy of WJLA:

A church in Silver Spring Maryland was vandalized with racists statements in support of Donald Trump Saturday night.

According to church officials, the phrase "Trump Nation whites only" was written at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior at 1700 Powder Mill Road on a sign advertising the church's Hispanic service and on a wall in the church's memorial garden which serves as the church cemetery.

"I guess none of us realized where we were living," says Margaret Gordon, a member of the church's vestry.

According to Robert Harvey The Rector of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, about 80 percent of the church's members are immigrants and there are people from more than 50 countries of origin as part of his congregation.

"They're afraid," says Harvey who also says that this was not the first such incident of racism in the community during the week.

This is just one example I literally had dozens of others I could have chosen to illustrate what is happening all across our country right now.

Somebody on Twitter actually had the gall to point out that there was a similar outbreak of racism after Barack Obama was elected, right up until somebody pointed out to them that those instances of racism were directed AT the President, not inspired BY the president.

Raw Story has too many stories along the same lines as this one, a Muslim teacher finding a note telling her to hang herself by her hajab, a sign supporting lynching, etc. He just appointed a white nationalist as his chief strategist, with his first priority to take over the Sudentanland.

    1. A. J. Billings7:53 AM

STeve Bannon, who Trump just appointed "special adviser" is not just a white nationalist.

He is a blatantly anti-semitic, racist, misogynistic asshole.

Bannon is an outright bastard in the mold of David Duke.

Bannon told his wife that he didn't want his kids going to a private school "because there are too many Jews there.

Steve Bannon is degenerate sybarite who deserves nothing but scorn and shame, and the fact that Trump doesn't care, is astonishingly terrible.

    2. He's considering an Anti-Muslim for his the head of Homeland Security. I guess with Steve "Goering" Bannon he'll have a matched set of bigots.

"WASHINGTON ― Donald Trump is reportedly considering appointing Clare Lopez, an anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist, to serve as his deputy national security adviser.

Lopez is the vice president of the Center for Security Policy, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that focuses on the threat of Islamic jihad. She was on a short list of names that the Daily Caller reported as coming directly from the Trump transition team.

According to Lopez’s biography, she spent 20 years working for the Central Intelligence Agency before she became a popular writer for conservative websites like Breitbart News and World Net Daily. She served as an adviser to the presidential campaign of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), and while she didn’t hold an official post within Trump’s campaign, the president-elect regularly cited her work to support his anti-Muslim positions."

"Lopez gained notoriety among right-of-center conspiracy blogs after authoring a report suggesting Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s longtime aide, is part of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Lopez called Abedin a “Muslim Brotherhood operative” and has intimated that Abedin, along with Obama, has assisted the Islamic organization."

      Oh, look. Breitbart News.

Will there be anyone left at Breitbart after Trump finishes his appointments?

  2. Anonymous6:35 AM

We know that Trump supporters are racists thugs.

  3. Anonymous6:36 AM

We are back to the KKK days where the coward Klan wears hoods when when they instilled violence.

Trump supporters are cowards too. They strike at night.

    1. Not really.

They feel so bold now they're taking off their hoods and operating in broad daylight.

  4. abbafan6:48 AM

Gryphen, I am afraid that this is only the beginning. When the media gave the fuckin' idiot palin a free pass, she spewed her poisonous vitriol all over gullible voters. Now, history repeats itself; this time, the racists have the green light to do so, under the umbrella of a demagogue.

Sadly, things will not improve for a long time. Damn you McCain, for not shutting her down; "country first", my ass!

  5. Anonymous7:08 AM

Include this to the list of incidents. My daughter's friend said her child's pediatrician told her boys in his child's elementary school are grabbing girl in the crotch saying "Trumped you!"

She also told me Trumped denied knowing anything about any incidents since the election on 60 Minutes.

    1. Anonymous8:05 AM

I guess that's because he's been resting. Remember that he's still "uncomfortable" with the idea of being the next president. He should think about the majority of voters who did NOT vote for him and how we feel.

    2. Anonymous8:30 AM

      Professional women are DISTRAUGHT too>

    3. We knew he was a fucking, illiterate, ill-informed pathetic piece of shit unfit for the office of President.

Thanks to 60 minutes, now everyone knows.

I can't believe that pathetic response. Gee, I'll tell them to stop if you think it will help. Stop it.

      How presidential.

  6. Anonymous7:13 AM

1933 Germany, we are living it.

  7. When asked by my Canadian friends how I am, I want to say, "I have bad days and ... worse days," but don't. I come here to be with people are have paid attention over the last 18 months and are as grief-stricken as I am. But is it therapy or feeding my worse nightmares and predictions?

    1. Anonymous8:29 AM

      Unfortunately it is reality.

The nation will be in the hands of people who have already told us what they intend to do.

They will keep as many of their promises as they can.

    3. Connie2:46 PM

Barbara, you are practicing Radical Acceptance and Distress Tolerance with like minded people.

In facing the idea of Nazis welcomed and voted into the White House I HAVE to have people who think like me. Glad we all have each other.

  8. I live in New Orleans, probably one of the most racially diverse cities in the south and we voted bright blue this election.

However, we have a race war going on in the city following Trump's election. We've had protesters defacing Lee Circle & marchers shutting down busy streets for days. Tensions are high here. I've seen guys with Trump bumper stickers throwing drinks out their car windows at blacks just waiting for a bus, and I've heard the "N" word used a LOT more freely than it was before.

Trump's election has stirred up the simmering racism that has always bubbled beneath the surface. They just kept it hidden because to voice their bile would identify them. Now? They don't don't care who knows what they really think. Because they now have a President who believes what they do and makes no secret of it. When they say he "says what they're thinking"...they really mean it.

  9. Anonymous7:29 AM

As Alexander Hamilton writes in “The Federalist Papers,” the Constitution is designed to ensure “that the office of President will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications.” The point of the Electoral College is to preserve “the sense of the people,” while at the same time ensuring that a president is chosen “by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice.”

    1. Anonymous8:03 AM

Yes, it looks like the Electoral College has also been hijacked by the GOP.

    2. Anonymous12:07 PM

The electoral college can't be "hijacked". When we vote we aren't voting for a candidate, we're voting for the electors chosen by the state party. They change every election. So when Trump won a state, e.g. Ohio, all 18 of the electors from Ohio are Republicans. It would have been 18 different people, 18 Democrats, if Clinton won Ohio. Do you see why it can't be "hijacked". In addition, it's a state by state process, not an institution or organization. The electors for each state meet in their own state on Dec 19th and cast their votes for president and vice president.

    3. Electors aren't Constitutional scholars and they haven't studied the writings of our founding Fathers or the details of the creation of our country.

They just rubber stamp what their party tells them to.

You will not find any rebels, anyone with integrity or ethics. As far as they're concerned a Republican won and that's all that matters.

  10. Mission Accomplished7:40 AM

Lesley Stahl: They’re harassing Latinos, Muslims--

Donald Trump: I am so saddened to hear that. And I say, “Stop it.” If it-- if it helps. I will say this, and I will say right to the cameras: Stop it.

    1. Anonymous8:02 AM

Thanks a lot, Donald Trump. You gave us a hate-fueled campaign and now all you can muster is "stop it"? Well, Trump has to rest now; those two words were so difficult for him to say.

    2. Anonymous8:23 AM

      >>>If it-- if it helps.<<<

      it won't.

    3. Anonymous8:36 AM

And the only reason he said anything was because he was forced to by Stahl's interview.

    4. Really, Trump? Where the hell were you when this was going on during your campaign? Oh, that's right, you were encouraging it and instigating it.

    5. Someone tell me just how inspiring and presidential that statement was.

      Anyone? Bueller?

Orange Adolf couldn't even bring himself to attend any Veteran's Day memorial anywhere. Fuckface was hiding in Trump Tower from the scary "professional" protesters.

  11. Anonymous7:53 AM

I feel anger toward Trump voters I know and do not know who are not racist because they voted for racism, hate crimes whether or not they considered this reality. Just saying I hold them accountable for their short sided to ignorant decision.

    1. Anonymous8:36 AM

I do not buy--at all--the reasoning that says many people voted for him based on what he said about the economy. All the other stuff was there and people's values were tested.

They were absolutely fine with the incredible amount of hatred toward groups different from their own. They were basically saying that if they stood before a man assaulting a woman and an almighty dollar bill and had to choose whether to help the woman or take the money, they would not hesitate and would ignore the assault and take the money. Same goes for every possible scenario that could be set up against choosing it or that dollar bill.

As much as I like Michael Moore, when he says in that sincere voice of his that he doesn't think all Trump supporters are racist and sexist, I just roll my eyes. Who people really are came through loud and clear. I am not going to find a way to excuse his voters. I come from a blue collar family in Ohio and my family's history is one of being very down and out, starting with when my grandfather died when my dad, born during the Depression, was just an infant. No matter what, the family found ways to survive and not lose their moral courage.

    2. Anonymous11:02 AM

His supporters, whether racist to begin with, are now branded with the racist label. They lost their identity when they voted for this man.

When you support someone like Trump you don't just get to pick and choose from his ideologies.

    3. They voted for it, they own it.

      That was their choice.

They don't want to be considered racist by association? Tough shit.

  12. Anonymous8:01 AM

Here are some clear suggestions on how we can act.
Maybe a long shot but at least we tried.

    1. Here's a better use of your time.

This is what people are going to have to do practically daily in order to keep the pressure on our government representatives to serve the public, not their little tin god.

  13. Anonymous8:07 AM

Welcome to Hitler World, it's the new reality show. And who better to star in it than someone named dRUMPf?

I hope all those little girls are taught what to do when slimy boys grab them - kick their balls so far up inside that the gene pool will be cleansed of their type in future.

Too bad they didn't do that to dRUMPf's father.

    1. If I were a parent all of my daughters would immediately be enrolled in self defense classes and I would encourage them to SING to anyone that dared to touch them. Those little boys with bloody noses or knees in their groin will learn quickly exactly how nasty a woman can be.

  14. Anonymous8:15 AM

We're living in interesting times, it is good (safe) to be white.

    Trump goes Palin!

"During their private White House meeting on Thursday, Mr. Obama walked his successor through the duties of running the country, and Mr. Trump seemed surprised by the scope, said people familiar with the meeting. Trump aides were described by those people as unaware that the entire presidential staff working in the West Wing had to be replaced at the end of Mr. Obama’s term."

    Shades of Sarah Palin-

“As for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.”

Except these Trump people will actually have access to the football of doom.

    1. Anonymous8:31 AM

Link for not knowing "what is it exactly that the VP does every day"

    2. White house staff? That's Melania's job, right? Isn't the little woman in charge of hiring the maids and cooks?

  16. Anonymous8:25 AM

Trumpf will ride on anyone's back> TRUTH IS COMING!
with an infrastructure program and a relatively short lived fiscal boom in 2017-2018, it’s hard to see Trump doing anything that fundamentally changes the downward slide of the bottom 70 percent. Because of automation as much as trade, it’s hard to see large numbers of high-wage manufacturing jobs coming back. Trump can’t wave a wand or sandbag the EPA and revive coal, because natural gas and solar is already cheaper than coal as a source of electric power."The election wasn’t rigged in Trump’s sense that voting fraud was pervasive or someone messed with the count. It was rigged only to the extent that Republican operatives used Voter ID to made it harder for minority people and poor people to vote, that a bizarre alliance between Vladimir Putin’s hacking and James Comey’s meddling very likely stole an election that Clinton still won by nearly two million popular votes."

  17. Anonymous8:28 AM

  18. Anonymous8:28 AM

OT, but this has me seething. Trump said last night he's fine with same sex marriage. He said it's done. It's law. It's been here for less than a year and a half. But abortion rights have been here for over forty and he thinks Roe will be overturned. He's fine with that. He doesn't think same sex, this very controversial matter, is a problem and that it should be up to the states and doesn't see it as going back to the courts. But with abortion he thinks just the opposite.

  19. Anonymous8:41 AM

Be informed. Here's where to see the real vote count from AP, updating every couple hours:

    1. Anonymous3:10 PM

      RIP Gwen Ifill.

"Trump aides were described by those people as unaware that the entire presidential staff working in the West Wing had to be replaced at the end of Mr. Obama’s term."

Yeah, well, that was before we knew Priebus was going to be chief of staff. Priebus knows this stuff.

    1. Anonymous10:54 AM

Knowing the Reince Preibus is the smartest guy in the room makes me feel so much better.

    2. Anonymous11:41 AM

Who said he was smart? He knows how the staffing of the west wing works.

  21. Here's our new normal:

Chili's offered veterans a free meal on Veteran's day.

Some old white Deplorable questioned this man's right to a meal, saying that when he served in Germany and they did not let blacks serve there. (LIE)

This white piece of shit then complained to the manager who came over to question the man. Despite showing the manager his military ID and his discharge papers, the manager took his food away.

Chili's apologized and removed the manager but they DIDN'T FIRE HIM!

    There's your new normal.

    Fuck Trump. Fuck them all.

  22. Trump just got his first serious assassination threat. Matthew Harrigan, the President & CEO of PacketSled of Del Mar, California was arrested for posting statements on the internet about getting a sniper rifle and finding a view of a bedroom.

In other news, the attacks by Deplorables continue:

    North Carolina

  23. I'm honestly absolutely terrified of the upcoming Trump presidency. My husband is Mexican, and my daughter is Hispanic and I am terrified that they will be attacked or hurt. It's already happened to a friend of my husband's son (he was followed home by teenagers telling him to get out of the country and shouting racial slurs). We live outside of the US but are moving soon so I can take care of my parents and I am terrified of moving back to my own country.

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
