Number of Maryland school shooting deaths rise to two after teenage girl taken off life support.

Courtesy of NBC News:

The teenage girl who was shot by an ex-boyfriend inside their Maryland high school died late Thursday after she was removed from life support, the sheriff's office said Friday.

Jaelyn Willey died at 11:34 p.m. ET just hours after her mother said the 16-year-old was brain dead and that there was "no life left in her."

"My daughter was hurt by a boy who shot her in the head ... and took everything from our lives, " Melissa Willey said at a news conference. "She will not make it."

The teen was shot Tuesday by 17-year-old Austin Rollins at Great Mills High School in St. Mary’s County.

This young lady was apparently the main target for this gunman, as she had recently ended a relationship with him.

The teenage gunman shot her and anther student, before being gunned down by a school resource officer.

So what should have been a momentary teenage heartbreak, ended with the completely unnecessary deaths of two young people who would still be alive in a country where guns were not so readily available.

Guns do not protect life, guns take life.

Period.

Another school shooting. This time in Maryland.

Courtesy of the AP:

A shooting at a Maryland high school Tuesday wounded three people, including the shooter, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Authorities said the situation was “contained” as deputies and federal agents converged on the crime scene.

St. Mary’s County Sheriff spokeswoman Cpl. Julie Yingling said three people hurt, including the shooter. She didn’t know the extent of their injuries, but said all three were taken to hospitals and none were killed.

The Baltimore Sun reported that a student said the shooting happened around 8 a.m. Terrence Rhames, 18, told the Sun that he heard a gunshot and saw a girl fall as he ran for an exit. “I just thank God I’m safe,” Rhames said. “I just want to know who did it and who got injured.”

I held off on posting about this because as usual there was all kinds of misinformation coming out, including that there were far more than three shot, including some fatalities.

What we think we know now is that there was one shooter, weapon unknown, who fired on at least two students and was taken down by a school resource officer. The shooter and a female student remain in critical condition.
So keep in mind that the school HAS a police presence on campus and still there were students shot.

The fact that there were no fatalities (As of yet.) is good news, VERY good news.

The bad news is that it appears that this will never end.

Update: Okay new reports are that the shooter has died.

Let's hope he is the only fatality from this unfortunate, and all too common, incident.

Students at an all girls Catholic School in Maryland out their substitute teacher for his alt-right views, and participation in Charlottesville riot.

Courtesy of Fox News:

A substitute teacher and field hockey coach at an all-girls Catholic school in Maryland was fired after his "alt-right" views were discovered by students.

Gregory Conte was fired this week from the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington after students discovered his personal Twitter profile in which he made remarks such as “Hitler did not commit any crimes,” FOX 5 DC reported.

The Twitter account, in which Conte used the name Gregory Ritter, said he was the director of operations at the National Policy Institute, which is run by high profile white supremacist Richard Spencer. Conte's Twitter account was still active when this article was published.

The students also found footage of Conte at the deadly August white supremacist “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va.

The school issued a statement to parents in which they claimed that Conte's views did not seem to have a negative impact on his students.

Oddly enough the school learned about Conte's troubling alter ego in October, but did not notify the parents until January.

As for Conte, he does not seem to have had his beliefs shaken in the least.
Well that's a troubling tweet.

Homeland Security informs officials in 21 states that Russians attempted to hack their election systems in 2016.

Courtesy of USA Today:

Russians attempted to hack elections systems in Wisconsin and 20 other states in the run-up to last year's presidential election, Wisconsin officials said Friday.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security notified states of the attempted breaches on Friday, said Michael Haas, director of the Wisconsin Elections Commission. The attempt in Wisconsin was unsuccessful, he said.

According to the Associated Press, Alabama, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Virginia and Washington were also among the 21 states targeted.

Wisconsin's voter registration system was targeted, as were election systems in other states that have a presence on the internet, Haas said. Haas said he did not know which states other than Wisconsin were part of the attempt by what Homeland Security officials told him were “Russian government cyber actors."

I am not at all convinced that these were only "attempts."

I think there had to be some successful hacks, and I would not to at all surprised to learn that there were a number of them.

I also think that ultimately we will learn that there more than 21 states targeted.

As I have said before, we are still at the beginning of all this and it is certain that there is so much, much more we are going to learn.

Trump supporters deface Maryland church with racist message.

Courtesy of WJLA:

A church in Silver Spring Maryland was vandalized with racists statements in support of Donald Trump Saturday night.

According to church officials, the phrase "Trump Nation whites only" was written at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior at 1700 Powder Mill Road on a sign advertising the church's Hispanic service and on a wall in the church's memorial garden which serves as the church cemetery.

"I guess none of us realized where we were living," says Margaret Gordon, a member of the church's vestry.

According to Robert Harvey The Rector of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, about 80 percent of the church's members are immigrants and there are people from more than 50 countries of origin as part of his congregation.

"They're afraid," says Harvey who also says that this was not the first such incident of racism in the community during the week.

This is just one example I literally had dozens of others I could have chosen to illustrate what is happening all across our country right now.

Somebody on Twitter actually had the gall to point out that there was a similar outbreak of racism after Barack Obama was elected, right up until somebody pointed out to them that those instances of racism were directed AT the President, not inspired BY the president.

I actually think that the Sarah Palin victory lap the day after a Donald Trump blowout might be the worst part.

Interesting that she left off all of the SarahPAC logo except the bear.

She has one graphic posted for each of Trump's victories, and THEY have the complete SarahPAC logo.

But let's not kid ourselves I doubt very seriously she will raise any money by pimping for Trump right now. Even the few supporters she has left are not so ignorant as to believe that she had anything to do with his success.

I think right now it is more than obvious that the 2016 race will come down to Clinton vs Trump.

Which means when Hillary beats this orange tinted asshole it will be especially enjoyable to watch Palin lose her shit over it.

Actually I think that once that happens it will be essentially over for Palin in the political realm.

It is hard to imagine any politician, no matter how desperate, wanting Palin associated with their candidacy after watching her piss on every conservative talking point she every vomited forth and then throw her support behind a reality show star only to have him lose to the first female President.

THAT is the kind of loser stench that even tomato juice and hydrogen peroxide cannot wash off.

Okay kids you know what day it is right? Yep, it's PRIMARY day again! Update!

Okay so up for the taking today are Pennsylvania with 189 delegates, Maryland with 95, Connecticut with 55, Rhode Island with 24, and Delaware with 21.

Currently Hillary is leading Bernie by double digits in both Pennsylvania and Maryland, is slightly ahead of Sanders in Connecticut and Delaware, while Sanders is slightly ahead in Rhode Island.

Just a reminder that even if Hillary only gets half of the votes tonight it will put her over 2000, and she will only need a little over 300 to clinch the nomination.

On the GOP side it appears that Donald Trump is positioned to take every primary tonight, so really not a lot of drama there.

For that one idiot who claimed that Hillary Clinton is NOT making gun legislation a focus of her campaign.

Sucks to be wrong doesn't it?

Polls close in all five states in about a half an hour so let the games begin.

Update: Donald Trump is projected to win Maryland, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, while Hillary is projected to win Maryland.

Update 2: Trump is now projected to win Rhode Island.

Update 3: Delaware was just announced for Clinton and for Trump.

Update 4: Now Hillary is projected to win Pennsylvania.  That was of course predicted, however it is always the biggest prize of the night.

Update 5: Bernie Sanders just put one on the board with a projected win in Rhode Island.

Update 6: And finally Hillary wins her fourth primary tonight with Connecticut now added to her total.

Gun manufacturer Beretta moves company from Maryland to Tennessee, not to avoid taxes but in search of lax guns laws.

Courtesy of NPR:

The company recently moved its factory to Nashville, Tenn., because it says the law in Maryland threatened its business. The opening day was celebrated with shooting demonstrations and a warm welcome from state officials.

The Italian gun maker says it's being driven out of its longtime U.S. home on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. The political culture there has grown hostile to guns and to the people who make them, the company says.

The view couldn't be more different in the city of Gallatin.

"They do what the people who live here really appreciate and respect and enjoy," says Mayor Paige Brown. "And so it's been a real pride thing for us."

The state of Tennessee spent more than $10 million to woo Beretta. Gallatin has also thrown in a $2 million property tax break and 100 acres for free.

Gov. Bill Haslam says the plant has made him the envy of his Republican colleagues.

"I literally had the governors of Texas and Georgia and North Carolina and South Carolina and I'm sure a few others walk up and go, 'Dang, Haslam, that's one we really wanted,' " he says.

Makes sense. If your company is making a deadly product that the citizens want protection from, then you simply move to a place where profit takes precedence over human life every time.

After all isn't coal mining still one of the main drivers of Tennessee's economy?

And I guess that shooting in Chattanooga last year that left four Marines dead was not enough to convince the state to adopt stronger gun laws.

I wonder how many mass shootings it would take to do that?

Perhaps this will be a trend which will find more and more gun manufacturers moving to the more hospitable political climate down South, where of course folks unabashedly cling to their guns and religion and eschew such Northern ideals as public safety and corporate responsibility.

Benghazi Committee bad ass Elijah Cummings endorses Hillary Clinton.

Courtesy of Politico:

Top Benghazi panel Democrat Elijah Cummings endorsed Hillary Clinton for president on Sunday, a move that could further sink the House Libya investigation into partisan mudslinging but helps Clinton in Cummings' home state.

The Maryland Democrat, who also leads House Oversight Democrats, had declined to endorse the former secretary of state up to this point, telling reporters he was holding off until the Benghazi probe of the attack that left four Americans dead concluded. Clinton's work at the State Department is a key pillar of the investigation.

But with the investigation approaching its two-year anniversary, and Maryland's late-April Democratic primary just days away, Cummings backed the front-runner in an op-ed submitted to The Washington Post, writing, according to the paper, writing that Clinton "not only understands the challenges facing Baltimore and other cities, she’s laid out a clear and detailed agenda that meets those challenges head-on."

Cummings also took an implicit shot at Bernie Sanders: "Families in Baltimore who are hurting right now need more than the promise of a political revolution."

I have no idea if this will actually help Hillary in Maryland, but going forward it certainly will not hurt to have Cummings in her corner.

Let's face it Elijah Cummings is a rock star to the Democrats and if you need someone to talk about the Clinton's relationship with black Americans you would be hard pressed to find a better surrogate.

And finally remembering the three year anniversary of Sandy Hook.

Courtesy of NBC News:

There are at least 555 reasons to ask whether American children are safer from gun violence today than they were three years ago, when the unthinkable happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

That's how many kids under the age of 12 have died from gunshots — both intentional and accidental — since Adam Lanza stormed into the school in Newtown, Connecticut, on Dec. 14, 2012, and shot dead 20 children and six staff members, according to an NBC News analysis.

That figure, derived from news reports, other publicly available information and data from the Gun Violence Archive, is likely significantly lower than the true number of child gun deaths, as suicides often are not covered by news media and other gun deaths sometimes go unreported. Even so, it works out to a rate of just under one death of a child by firearm every two days in this country.

I don't know about all of you but the massacre at Sandy Hook hit me almost as hard as the attacks of 9-11.

Just like 2001 I was riveted to my TV, completely unable to fathom what I was seeing.

And then I thought, "Well this is it. Surely NOW we will start working on comprehensive gun legislation to keep our children safe from another attack like this one."

And I could not have been more wrong.

It was not that there were more victims in the Newtown shooting than in other massacres before it, but these were babies. Surely that would be enough to shock people out of their complacency and get the country angry and frightened enough to insist that we do something.

Something perhaps like what Australia had done in the wake of THEIR mass killing.

But that didn't happen.

Instead NRA President Wayne LaPierre blamed the politicians and the schools themselves:

" Politicians pass laws for gun free school zones, they issue press releases bragging about them. They post signs advertising them. And, in doing so, they tell every insane killer in America that schools are the safest place to inflict maximum mayhem with minimum risk."

Sarah Palin responded by suggesting no real answer to gun violence other than more prayer:

Unspeakable evil slammed America in the beautiful little town of Newtown, Connecticut, just days ago. No words can express the collective shock and sorrow shared by Americans who know the murder of innocent children is the most horrendous crime imaginable. The Connecticut state motto, “Qui transtulit sustinet,” promises that only God can sustain us. Though still insufficient and unfulfilling for the grieving families of these beautiful babies in the Lord's arms now, perhaps those words are all the inconsolable loved ones can hold on to at this time. May God show His sustaining love to them right now. Please Lord.

(Palin also claims in her book "Good Tidings and Great Joy" that she responded to the calls for more gun laws after Sandy Hook, by buying Todd a new gun.)

Other conservative politicians responded in similarly cowardly ways, as did a few Democrats, and then of course we have the Sandy Hook Truthers who simply refuse to believe the attack happened at all.

However it was President Obama who went to Newtown and tried to comfort the people who had lost loved ones and try to ease their pain:

The president took a deep breath and steeled himself, and went into the first classroom. And what happened next I’ll never forget.

Person after person received an engulfing hug from our commander in chief. He’d say, “Tell me about your son. . . . Tell me about your daughter,” and then hold pictures of the lost beloved as their parents described favorite foods, television shows, and the sound of their laughter. For the younger siblings of those who had passed away—many of them two, three, or four years old, too young to understand it all—the president would grab them and toss them, laughing, up into the air, and then hand them a box of White House M&M’s, which were always kept close at hand. In each room, I saw his eyes water, but he did not break.

And then the entire scene would repeat—for hours. Over and over and over again, through well over a hundred relatives of the fallen, each one equally broken, wrecked by the loss. After each classroom, we would go back into those fluorescent hallways and walk through the names of the coming families, and then the president would dive back in, like a soldier returning to a tour of duty in a worthy but wearing war. We spent what felt like a lifetime in those classrooms, and every single person received the same tender treatment. The same hugs. The same looks, directly in their eyes. The same sincere offer of support and prayer.

The staff did the preparation work, but the comfort and healing were all on President Obama. I remember worrying about the toll it was taking on him. And of course, even a president’s comfort was woefully inadequate for these families in the face of this particularly unspeakable loss. But it became some small measure of love, on a weekend when evil reigned.

In the end there were a few laws passed in Connecticut, New York, and Maryland, but nothing on the Federal level.

And here we sit, three years later, just as vulnerable as we were on December 14, 2012.

In fact it could be argued with this push for increased gun ownership and more conceal carry permits in the wake of recent terrorist attacks that the possibility for another school, mall, or theater mass shooting has only increased.

Because despite what the NRA might tell you, more guns mean more bullets, and more bullets mean more people killed and wounded.

It's just math.

Just a selfie with a bunch of baristas.

Our first selfie President strikes again.

For those wanting to know this was apparently taken at a place called Charmington's in Baltimore.

Gee, it's just too bad that Obama is so aloof and unfriendly right?

Well that's how the Right Wing media describes him at least.

Maryland city council member will not take oath of office on Bible. "I'm not upholding the teachings of the Bible."

Courtesy of The Frederick News-Post:

On Dec. 1, Jessica Fitzwater will raise her right hand and take the same oath of office as her fellow incoming council members.

But there will be one difference in her pledge before friends, family and elected officials: The book under her left hand will not be the Bible.

Fitzwater, who is Jewish, said she's not interested in replacing the Bible with a Torah. Instead, she is thinking of taking the oath on the Frederick County charter or some other government document that will represent her commitment to public service.

"I think it's more appropriate to swear my oath on something I will be upholding. I'm not upholding the teachings of the Bible. I'm upholding the charter or the Constitution," said Fitzwater, who will represent Council District 4.

Fitzwater said she has always supported the separation of church and state but only recently resolved on taking her oath of office on a nonreligious document.

I think I have a new political hero.

If only more politicians would make this choices, and let their constituents know that they are rational people, who will make decisions based on the rule of law, and not the superstitions of man, I think the world would be a far, far better place.

Maryland man, who previously served time for manslaughter, arrested for threatening to decapitate the President. Wait, so the Secret Service really can do their jobs?

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A42-year-old Maryland man accused of threatening to kill President Barack Obama and first lady Michele Obama in an explicit email strewn with racist remarks was in custody on Sunday, the United States Secret Service said.

Christopher Perkins O’Brien, of Annapolis, was arrested on Thursday and charged with making a violent threat against the president and threatening bodily harm against the presidential family in an email sent to the White House website on Oct. 16, according to court documents.

O’Brien was also charged with using interstate communications to make the threats, the documents said.

In the email, Obama is called “stupid” and a racial slur for his handling of ISIS, beheadings in the United States and of the Ebola outbreak before he is threatened with physical violence.

“I … hope to reach out to slash Michele’s throat… You?? I will make a point to behead you, then throw your head into the nearest body of water, as I drive off into Maryland,” O’Brien is accused of writing, according to charging documents first reported by The Baltimore Sun.

O’Brien was convicted in 2007 of manslaughter in the strangulation death of a 32-year-old female friend, the paper has reported. He served part of a 10-year sentence for the crime, which was later reduced to involuntary manslaughter.

Secret Service arrested O’Brien on suspicion of the recent death threats after tracing the email to his Annapolis home, the agency said.

Yeah okay I think when a person living in Maryland, who once served time for killing somebody, claims that he is going to cut the President's head off and assassinate the First Lady, THAT seems to me a credible threat.

I was also beginning to wonder if the Secret Service even knew how to do their jobs anymore.

It dawned on that perhaps we ought to fire the whole lot of them and try to hire that magnificent Canadian Sergeant at Arms who stopped that gunman at Parliament last week.

By the way I for one am getting damn sick and tired of hearing about all of these threats against the President. Don't they realize that if they were ever successful that he would rise up like Obi Wan Kenobi and be more powerful than ever?

If they think Ronald Reagan was deified, this would make the Reagan adulation look comparable to receiving the employee of the month designation at Burger King.

There would be Obama Day, Obama Lane, the Obama Towers, stuffed Obamas, Obama pins, Obama PJs, and a flood of Obama love that would sweep the nation.

The man is MUCH more beloved than these trigger happy lunatics realize, and rather than end his agenda, they would send it into hyper drive.

But even still we need the President alive and in one piece, and continuing to prove to Democrats that even if it seems that EVERYBODY is out to get you that you can still do your damn job, and make them eat shit every time you out maneuver them.

THAT is this President's legacy.

Federal judge upholds Maryland gun laws. Oh this is certainly going to give Wayne LaPierre a bad case of the vapors.

Courtesy of the Washington Times:

A federal judge has upheld a package of strict firearms regulations that went into effect in Maryland last year.

In a 47-page opinion issued Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Catherine C. Blake said the law “seeks to address a serious risk of harm to law enforcement officers and the public from the greater power to injure and kill presented by assault weapons and large capacity magazines.”

Judge Blake, appointed by President Clinton, agreed with lawyers for the state, who held that assault weapons and large-capacity magazines “fall outside Second Amendment protection as dangerous and unusual arms.” She also pointed out that the plaintiffs could not produce a single example in which an assault weapon or more than 10 rounds of ammunition were “used or useful” in an instance of self-defense in Maryland.

The opinion cites statistics showing that ownership of assault weapons and large-capacity magazines is comparatively rare and yet they are “disproportionately represented in mass shootings” as well as the murders of law-enforcement personnel.

“Upon review of all the parties’ evidence, the court seriously doubts that the banned assault long guns are commonly possessed for lawful purposes, particularly self-defense in the home, which is at the core of the Second Amendment right, and is inclined to find the weapons fall outside Second Amendment protection as dangerous and unusual,” Judge Blake wrote.

Hard to disagree with this decision. Unless of course you are an Ammosexual who thinks that having a military style weapon is the only way that you can express your manliness.

I have to imagine that the NRA is going to drop a load of ammunition in their pants over this on.

Sarah Palin's newest endorsement is an ex-Secret Service agent who is already angering many Republicans.

Here is more from the Wasilla Wendigo:

Dan Bongino is a unique candidate in politics today. His boots on the ground experience in Washington, D.C. has given him the wisdom and warrior spirit we need to stop the far left liberal agenda that is fundamentally transforming America. A bonus for all of us is Dan’s background and rigorous training as a U.S. Secret Service agent. He’ll put to good use the positive characteristics that have been instilled in him with tenacity and dedication to principles. (Apparently trust and respect for his President were not characteristics that Dan learned while serving in the Secret Service.) We need more like him!

I was proud to support Dan’s candidacy in 2010 for U.S. Senate against an entrenched liberal in a state that many in the GOP had long abandoned. (He actually ran in 2012, and lost to Senator Ben Cardin. Nice of Palin to not even get the date of that race right.) We’re not giving up! Maryland deserves the best, and Congress sure needs the help, so Dan is back, more prepared than ever! It’s an honor to support Dan in his bid to reclaim a very important Congressional seat. He’s running for the right reasons. He’s prepared for this opportunity to serve the people and to put government back on our side by getting it off our back. Watch some of Dan’s past videos and speeches and there will be no doubt he’s worthy of your support.

These elections are more than just liberal vs. conservative or Republican vs. Democrat – it’s come down to us vs. them – the people vs. the politicians. We need more of “We the People” – like Dan – to take on Washington and take our country back.

A staunch defender of our liberties and Constitution, Dan will be an important voice for our cause in Congress. As a Secret Service agent, Dan has seen first hand the ugly underbelly of Washington, D.C. behind the scenes – backroom deals and crony capitalism at its worst. He knows better than most what we are up against and how to combat it. Let’s cede no ground in the fight to restore America in 2014. Please get behind Dan Bongino and send him to Congress where he will help lead America toward exceptionalism again!

- Sarah Palin

Apparently Bongino used his experiences while in the Secret Service to write a book, a real no no among that elite group, and then use THAT as a springboard for his candidacy.

The book seemed to do fairly well and even made it onto the New York Times and Amazon Best Sellers list.

However it was not as well received by Republicans, one of who said the following:

Bongino has brought shame to the Secret Service and done a disservice to the president of the United States. It’s bad enough that future book writers are everywhere among us in Washington. Everyone has had to learn to tailor their remarks in order to anticipate how an author will characterize them in a book about “insider” Washington. White House staff and Cabinet members supply enough kiss-and-tells and self-serving accounts of what goes on inside the White House. But one of the president’s personal bodyguards writing a book that betrays the trust between the Secret Service and the commander in chief is beyond the pale. And as everybody in Washington knows, I have a pretty big pale.

Anyway, during my time in the White House, I worked in close proximity to the Secret Service, and based on what I know about those men and women, I bet they are sickened by the very idea that one of their own would write a book like this.

And that last assessment seems to be accurate, as this is what the agents said about his claims that he had " been in the room during some of the most important conversations."

Secret Service agents who served with Bongino but asked for anonymity confirmed his resume, but said the candidate "tends to exaggerate his importance on the presidential detail and exaggerate his proximity."

"We don't sit in on meetings at the White House. We don't sit in on high-level meetings," the agents said.

And their overall assessment:

"He's trying to draw attention to himself and he's hijacking the Secret Service brand," agents who had worked with Bongino told ABCNews.com. "That's all he's got going for him."

With that lack of integrity, of COURSE he received Palin's endorsement.

Homophobic politician walks back his criticism of marriage equality supporting football player in wake of negative publicity.

Maryland Del. Emmett C. Burns
As I, and many others, reported before, there was an almost universal condemnation of Maryland politician, Emmet Burn's demand that Brendon Ayanbadejo stop exercising his First Amendment rights.

Clearly the backlash has finally managed to pierce the veil of stupidity surrounding this religious nut, and he has had to eat a little crow. (Though not nearly enough crow in my opinion.)

This courtesy of Baltimore Sun:

"Upon reflection, he has his First Amendment rights," Del. Emmett C. Burns Jr., a Baltimore County Democrat, said in a telephone interview. "And I have my First Amendment rights. … Each of us has the right to speak our opinions. The football player and I have a right to speak our minds."

Burns, who is also the pastor and founder of the Rising Sun First Baptist Church in Woodlawn, has been under fire for a letter he wrote last month urging Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti to "take the necessary action" and order Ayanbadejo to "cease and desist" his advocacy of gay rights.

Yeah except this douchebag did not just "speak" his "mind." He demanded that this player's boss shut him up and take away HIS First Amendment rights. And he did it while using official letterhead from the Maryland House of Delegates, which is kind of the very definition of the government trying to suppress somebody's right to freedom of speech.

In other words, as a representative of the government, he is making a false equivalency and his attempt at an apology sucks ass.

Fortunately for him Mr. Avanbadejo is a much more generous human being than he is.

Ayanbadejo said that the delegate's revised sentiment is "a little too late from a damage control perspective" but hopes that Burns will "open his heart" on the issue.

Yeah I also think that the damage to Mr. Burns reputation has already been done, but unlike Mr. Avanbadejo I hold out little hope that he will ever change his intolerant opinion concerning who should, or should not, be allowed to marry the person that they love.
