White supremacists plan armed march in Montana town.

Courtesy of Think Progress:

The Daily Stormer, a popular American neo-Nazi website, is organizing an armed march in Whitefish, Montana, home of white nationalist leader Richard Spencer’s mother.

In a recent blog post that features Hilter’s face as its banner image, Andrew Anglin, publisher of the white supremacist website, announced he’s planning an armed march in the town for the second week of January — days before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“Montana has extremely liberal open carry laws, so my lawyer is telling me we can easily march through the center of the town carrying high-powered rifles,” Anglin wrote, adding that he plans to be there personally. “Currently, my guys say we are going to be able to put together about 200 people to participate in the march, which will be against Jews, Jewish businesses and everyone who supports either. We will be busing in skinheads from the Bay Area.”

I wrote earlier that this same group was targeting Jews in Montana and releasing their personal information onto the internet.

This of course is just another example of what it will be like in Donald Trump's America, where no minority group is safe from intimidation, harassment, or physical endangerment.

I suspect not only will every minority group face intimidation & harassment, but women will, as well. I was trying to prepare myself for an onslaught of sexism back when we thought Hillary would won handily, similar to the racism that our dear President has faced daily for over eight years. I'm a white female snd certainly will not face the kind of prejudice that my sistets of color will experience but it breaks my heart to think of what others will suffer. I just plan to treat everyone with respect and to also do my best to defend those who are facing oppression and discrimination. Perhaps trump will try to roll back the accomplishments of President Obama but I will do my personal best to make that difficult for him and the Republicans.

Yet 53% of white women electorate voted for this asshole. What does that say about them? That their racism trumped their own best interests?

What it says about them is that some white women are as racist and srupid as some white men. Mean and obtuse also too.

I know these guys are Nazi wannabes but, really, just what do they have against the few Jewish neighbors they may have in Montana, of all places? I also wonder if, should this despicable event occur, what Donald Trump's reaction will be. He spent enough time encouraging this sort of thing during his campaign.

These clowns may want to give this idea some thought . . . especially the part about brandishing weapons while marching down the street.

This is MONTANA we are talking about.

Damn near everyone in Montana is armed because Montana is a state filled with hunters. All it will take is for a few reasonable, heavily-armed Montanans to take exception to these jackasses . . .

I knew there was an example out there.

These idjits might want to read up on the story of Ken McElroy of Missouri . . . long-time town bully, local people got fed up with him, he was shot to death in broad daylight on main street with a crowd around . . . everyone was stricken with amnesia when the cops tried to solve the case.

This would never happen in Canada. We have laws in place to protect minorities from intimidation, harassment, or physical endangerment. I realize that the freedom to express your bigotry while carrying a deadly may be legal in the U.S. and is sacred according to the Constitution and Amendments but, when a hate group can march through a town targeting Jews or anyone supporting them, it sure puts your country in a bad light.

Republicans are always saying how much they support Israel so let's see how much they support Jews in their own nation.

The Republicans "support" Israel for two main reasons; Israel is practicing genocide against the Palestinians and that gets Republicans horny, and because they want all the Jews to move to Israel so that Jebus can come back and destroy the earth and bring the Republicans to heaven.

    2. excellent point. we also have a tradition of protection of a minority group from the tyranny of the majority. so i don't know if the actual harassment part could be a good cause to bring these guys up on charges and/or a law suit. but that also depends on the cooperation of the group being targeted. if they are too afraid things can - but shouldn't - be dismissed. i'm sure there are plenty of neighborly people who aren't targeted to report it as well.

    3. though in this case it would be the tyranny of one minority over another. thank god the hitler wanna-bees are a minority, as we see they need to beef up their numbers by bussing in skinheads all the way from the bay area.

I never understood why people need to walk around with firearms? Are their penises that short they need extensions?

Look, my gun is bigger than yours.

Okay so the rednecks walks around the city carrying their guns. Imagine if all the minorities including Muslims started carrying their guns on the same sidewalks as the armed rednecks. Will we start having drive by shootings?

Montana Governor Steve Bullock was rightly appalled at the news that a modern-day version of Hitler’s Brownshirts were preparing to converge on Whitefish and issued a statement “emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and love.” Mr. Bullock said, “we will not tolerate hate against our fellow Montanans, not because of their religion, color of their skin, or gender. We will not tolerate hate and intimidation of any kind. Not now, not ever.”

Obviously, Governor Bullock is a Democrat who does not comport bigotry or support Trump’s hateful rhetoric that incited the likes of the Daily Stormer, the Ku Klux Klan, Richard Spencer, skinheads, and neo-Nazis who are preparing to descend on Whitefish with guns in tow and targeting Jews.

...It is important to note that armed march against the Whitefish Jews is no ordinary “protest” to make a point or a peaceable assembly to “petition the government for a redress of grievances.” It is a show of force, with firearms, against a minority religious group, their places of business, and decent Montana residents who support their right to exist; a right that Trump’s Aryan supporters do not condone and are ready to eliminate.

...What appears to be the neo-Nazis primary “grievance” is that Jews, their businesses, and decent people who support them exist in “their America.” It is an America they claimed in their Trump endorsement was “founded as a White Christian Republic. And as a White Christian Republic it became great.” Not unlike Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany, Trump’s Aryan supporters believe that as a “white Christian republic,” America has no room or tolerance for Jews, their businesses or the decent Americans who support their right to exist.

Neo-Nazi Site May Call Off Armed March On White Nationalist Leader's Hometown

...But the Missoulian reported that Anglin said he would call off the march if residents in Whitefish agree to his demands to “promise that any protest actions you take in the future against Richard Spencer will not involve his family members."

Spencer's mother,Sherry Spencer, who owns a mixed-use building in downtown Whitefish, has been at the center of the controversy in town over her son's views. She has written extensively about feeling that the community has protested her business in retaliation against her son's beliefs.

Trump fans’ ‘Deploraball’ party descends into chaotic infighting over Nazi salutes and book burnings

...A major fight has broken out among Trump’s white nationalist fans over whether they should celebrate Trump’s pending inauguration by showering him with Nazi salutes.

Alt-right leader Mike Cernovich, who is organizing the Deploraball, started a massive fight this week after he told popular alt-right Twitter personality @bakedalaska that he couldn’t attend the party if he was going to do Nazi salutes of the kind that white nationalist Richard Spencer encouraged during his talk at the National Policy Institute conference earlier this month.

White nationalists are ‘prepared to revolt’ if Trump runs from their support

...Leaders in the right-wing white supremacy movement are threatening President-elect Donald Trump if he plans to abandon their efforts to influence his administration.

According to The Guardian, activists are concerned the so-called “alt-right” will remain on the fringe of the Republican Party instead of having a seat at the table.

“Their hearts are bigger than their brains,” said Mark Weber of the Institute for Historical Review. His organization is dedicated to exposing so-called “Jewish-Zionist” power. “Saying they want to be the intellectual head of the Trump presidency is delusional.”

Jared Taylor, who runs the magazine American Renaissance, a self-described “race-realist” publication, said that Trump initially promised his supporters that every undocumented person would be sent back. “Now he is waffling on that,” Taylor lamented.

Fake news is bad enough but as Media Matters explains, the “alt-right” "embraces it for a more dangerous purpose": harassment and death threats

...Whitehouse goes on to separate “fake news” from what white supremacists are doing, explaining that, “the misogynist and white nationalist “alt-right” embraces it for a more dangerous purpose: to encourage fake news readers into harassing individuals and discouraging people from taking part in public life. The fake news ecosystem is broader than just lies; many of these lies are purposeful.”

Smear campaigns and harassment are their game, including death threats against those who speak out, or even just happen to belong to a demographic that somehow threatens white privilege’s place in the sun. Look what was done to electors and journalists, or to Newsweek‘s Kurt Eichenwald, or actress Emmy Rossum if you require a couple of prominent examples.

Trump Derangement Syndrome Says Trump’s Arms Race Means He is Anti-War

...The right wing has been the big beneficiaries of this new move toward fake news, and Trump enablers abound not only on social media and the right wing media, but even on mainstream media platforms (who can forget Corey Lewandowski, Joe Scarborough, and others?).

How The Theocratic Right Wing Will Reshape The Courts Under Trump

With the news that Republicans have successfully stolen 100 judicial nominees and a Supreme Court nomination, it's time to rerun this article from 2014. Expect to see these names come up at the beginning of Trump's term.

Earlier this month RhRealityCheck published a chilling exposé of a little-known organization which is quietly supporting, training, and placing law students in key internships in order to promote them into the judiciary. The group promoting these students -- Alliance Defense Fund via the Blackstone Legal Fellowship -- is a key connector between the fundamentalist Christian right and the libertarian right.

    From RhRealityCheck's article:

Imagine that a little-known but increasingly powerful group of ideologues had hatched a plan to transform the United States into a Christian theocracy harkening back to the Dark Ages of Europe, a time when society was governed by the laws and officials of the Catholic Church.

Suppose further that this plan had a scary simple strategy: Recruit bright, young law students; put them through an intensive indoctrination program; place them in plum internships across the country; and watch as they swim upstream until they reach the top of the legal system, where they can create, enforce, and interpret laws according to a legal philosophy infused with fundamentalist Christian theology.
