Why aren't more people talking about the fact that Donald Trump gave his longest press conference since "winning" the election with a multi flag waving Don King by his side?

Courtesy of the New York Times:

President-elect Donald J. Trump said Americans should “get on with our lives” in comments to reporters before Thursday’s expected White House announcement that the United States will retaliate against Russia for its election-year hacking of Democratic Party computers.

Asked late Wednesday night at his Mar-a-Lago estate about President Obama’s plans to take action against Russia and its president, Vladimir V. Putin, Mr. Trump was dismissive. He appeared to concede the need to make computers more secure, but was vague about how that related to a possible response to Russia. “I think we ought to get on with our lives,” he said.

“I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what is going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I’m not sure we have the kind, the security we need.”

Mr. Trump took questions from a handful of reporters as Don King, the sports promoter and a longtime friend, stood next to him. The president-elect has not held a formal news conference since July, though he promised on Wednesday to hold one in early January.

Okay so as you see the Times mentioned the Don King shaped elephant in the room, but only in passing, while other news outlets seemed to ignore his presence altogether, DESPITE the fact that he interjected himself into the Q & A several times.

Yes I recognize that there was some news made with his impromptu press conference, such as that Trump had talked to the President, his fumbling response about Israel, and his dismissal of the importance to investigate the Russian hacking, but for me the biggest story was that he made all of those statements while standing next to a convicted murder/circus clown.

If there is ANYTHING that sums up the Trump presidency in a nutshell, it is a picture like this.

Because essentially these are two sides of the same coin, with the only real difference being the pigment of their skin and the fact that one of their daddies gave them millions of dollars.

These are both fast talking charlatans, who each made their money by exploiting those with real talent, and by cheating their workers out of their fair share.

And now one of them is going to be the President of the United States.

  1. Anonymous4:42 PM

It wasn't a press conference, it was a distraction. Trump knows the idiot media will come running even though they get punked every time. He is not a real president and never will be.

It's fine for Trump to troll the media during the transition but soon he'll be neck-deep in hot manure and trying to cover it up- the shoe will be on the other foot then.

    1. Anonymous4:55 PM

Agreed. It's a reality show on steroids.
I shut off media long ago covering this ass.
You call yourself a journalist? Horse shit.
If you were, you'd do your damned job.

    2. Anonymous10:25 PM

lol. Maybe you can't see the truth the the media has been a joke for the last 15 years, and Trump is just running herd over it.

    3. Anonymous6:35 AM

The lamestream media, as your old lady queen e$ther would say, IS a joke.
If you weren't such an old fart, LOL TROLL, you'd know that the future of this nation, the younger generation, get their news from a thing called The Internets, not cable or network TV.
And your orange anus is 'running herd' over that, like it's an accomplishment to be proud of?

  2. Anonymous4:58 PM

Totally agree with you on your comment. This was so weird. Don King standing waving some flags from side to side - Trump making his usual nothing statements. it all made no sense. What the heck? Don K was holding an American flag - I think. Also a flag of Israel - I think - but there was a third one I could not make out. So bizarre.

    Pat Padrnos

    1. Anonymous5:48 PM

It was a scene straight out of The Idiocracy.
We are being punked I tell ya.

    2. i saw korea's flag in there... i think they are donald's declaration of our allies according to him.

    3. Anonymous6:30 AM

Possibly the South Korean flag...they along with Saudi Arabia purchased the most munitions from USA this last year.

  3. Anonymous5:00 PM

#WhereIsMikePence is what I want to know. Check out his social media, google when he was last in the news and how often, and then ask where is he, and why is he missing in action. And how does he feel about all that is happening.
The Mar-a-lago show was as 4:42 said; a distraction.

    1. Anonymous5:49 PM

He is with Darth Cheney planning the next false flag on US soil, the better to get us into WW3. Count on it.

    2. Anonymous6:37 PM

"the sum total of Pence’s understanding of science and the world is based on his rationality that “god did it.”"As horrifying as the idea of the bible being taught as fact-based science is, it will be the least of Americans’ worries in a Pence-led theocratic America.

Donald, if someone is intelligent enough to invent a computer, they are intelligent enough to know how it operates.

He really does think he is the smartest person. If he can't figure out how something works, no one can.

    1. Anonymous5:50 PM

drump's 10 year old son Barron can >

  6. Anonymous5:15 PM

Some say Don the Con met with Don the leach to persuade him to get some entertainers for the inauguration.

All I got so far is some girl from America's Got Talent, a choir that's not even Catholic, a bunch of dancers who's afraid to show me some Taint (area between their two holes, Taint pu$$y-Taint ass), I got some house bands and several wacked DJs.

    1. Anonymous5:35 PM

Desperate for talent? There's some old broad, a grandmother, in a city called Wasilly who can play a mean flute. Warning, just don't try looking at both of her eyes at the same time or your eyes will become like hers. Tell her Gryph got her the job.

    2. Anonymous8:20 PM

Wasilly gramma! Lol. And pageant walking.

    3. Anonymous5:05 AM

Oh, puleeze! Her flute playing is on a par with her basketball playing. All smoke and mirrors.

  7. Anonymous5:46 PM

    GoPee on you drumpf:

  8. Anonymous5:47 PM

    MSNBC was from 6-7 EsT.
I think he needs his handler Ivanka, who is on vacay. We won't hear much from his majesty til she gets back.
    Scary shit.

  9. Anonymous5:48 PM

Good grief, computers are SO hard. (First graders are quite proficient in computers).

He would rather trade hair tips with Don King than listen to a daily security briefing. It sure wasn't a computer that made him ignorant. He was already ignorant. But he doesn't have the common sense to change his ignorance to knowledge. He owes us this effort. We are so seriously fucked by this POS.

    1. Anonymous2:41 AM

All the gop seem to be quite satisfied with tRump, he is one of them. Ignorant, wealthy and able to fool people into voting for them. We are screwed as a country. Oh, take back "wealthy" I seriously think his wealth is all smoke and mirros. He owes many foreign countries, and can not pay them back. He will be the most blackmailed president in history. Putin's "useful idiot" as he is called.

  10. Anonymous5:50 PM

Because there's a sucker born every minute, and now they're all on facebook reading fake news. A con by any other name is still a liar, despite being our president-elect. Somebody bless America, 'cause God seems to have written us off as idiots, as well he should.

  11. linda6:16 PM

Let's make America great again. Another benefit of taking us back to the 50's would be to eliminate computers. Go back to keeping track of things on paper so we can't get hacked. Is that the message he's sending? I know I read that he doesn't use a computer - apparently does not know how?

  12. You might want to watch O'Donnell tonight.

    1. Anonymous9:54 PM

Why, so he can fill your head with more stupid liberal crap that raises your haunches but has no basis in reality lol?

    2. Anonymous10:26 PM

9:54 PM Up your lol ass, troll. You are always here sucking Sarah Palin's dick.

    3. Anonymous6:27 AM

The term is 'raise your HACKLES', Stool. I'm not surprised you didn't know that.

We all know how much you like to raise up your haunches for all ya baby daddies, and then some.

  13. Anonymous6:23 PM

    Fuck you djt:

  14. Chenagrrl6:51 PM

When Donald Trump says "nobody knows," and he says it all the time, he means that he hasn't paid attention and he doesn't know.

    1. Anonymous12:09 AM

Bingo! One if the most intelligent and spot on comments I've seen here.

  15. Anonymous7:15 PM

Mr Rehash Every Old Fucking Grievance wants everyone to "get on with their lives" Reality and this asshole will never run into each other.

  16. that was a whole lot of nothing, and as you said, it's no surprise to see these two dons hanging out together as they are both full of shite con artists. donald sounds like a used car salesman - "i think you're really gonna like it...." and what was that shite about him creating jobs while he's doing nothing hanging out with don king? that bit went over my head, but i suspect it was a load of lies anyway. i just want to wipe that smug ald smile off of donald's face and remind him not only is he not the president, but more than half the country and most of the world don't want him to be president. and that was not a press conference, that was a pre-boxing pep rally for israel. the flag of israeel might mean peace but they like the US has done many times, have overplayed their hand. might does not make right, and if they want peace in the middle east, they have to make some concessions and not encroach further than previously agreed on palestinian territory. donald is putting his whole torso into shark infested waters by getting into this conflict blind and without understanding. and his statement about graham was him all over - well he ran against me, so i haven't talked to him. big baby. i'm sure lindsey's not waiting by the phone. and i never thought i would have as much respect for graham as i have developed this year - he's really stuck to his principles, he and mccain, and even though i might not agree with them on policy, i can greatly respect them going against their despicable party.

  17. So, are we an Idiocracy now?

    1. oh, most definitely. that and more. as well as less, as we have lost some things for now to this election, like much of the respect the world had for us with obama as president, and a feeling of gravitas for the office of president that is gone now that there is a reality star clown and bs artist coming in after one of the most intelligent and gracious presidents i think we have ever had in modern times. and we have lost a sense of purpose that we used to have in the world. maybe a little re-evaluation will do us good; in fact i'm sure it will. but at the cost of having donald as president? that's just an american horror story and a tragedy rolled into one.

    2. Anonymous2:50 AM

8:07 Agree 100%. What a tragedy this entire fiasco has become. tRump keeps saying how smart he is, but his record proves otherwise. He is a fraud in every sense of the word, in every area of his life. From the asinine gold painted homes he lives in, to his "wealth", to his "smart family" it is all smoke and mirrors. His wife is nothing but a soft porn nude "model" who could not make it in the legitimate modeling world. He said she had two degrees and spoke 5 languages!! Not true, quietly removed that from her bio. Fake family, fake qualifications. No way could these con artists replace our wonderful Obamas. NO WAY.

    3. Anonymous6:12 AM

Yes and the movie should now be re-released and entered into the Academy Awards as a documentary.

  18. Anonymous7:46 PM

    ● Be happy for Don the Con's short press conference with Don King.

    ● After you read this you will understand why.

    ● I remember reading about several commenters on IM talking about how lousy a speaker Don the Con is.

    ● Could this explain why he has been avoiding the press?

    ● He is starting to come across like Sarah Palin. Does he know anything?

    ● Does Don the Con hire people who knows and run things and he takes credit for their work?

    ● Just like the recent announcement about Sprint which Don the Con is taking credit for the 5,000 jobs which he had nothing to do with.

    ● Those 5,000 jobs were developing before Don the Con even knew about it.

    The Blaze:
Trump spokesman hints that Trump might not hold regular press conferences

RNC communications director and future White House press secretary Sean Spicer told conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday that President-elect Donald Trump could replace daily press conferences with more social media interaction, including Facebook “town halls,” and even more controversial, asking for feedback from Twitter users.

    1. let's crown him president of twitter then, and tell him to feck off white house property. and get a suit that fits while he's at it. and trash that awful red, taped tie. bruce wayne would never dress that way, and he's a real fake billionaire, too. because he can't face the grown-ups in the press, he'll have dumpster fire chats to modernise FDR's fireside radio chats, which my nana used to tell me about as she was a girl then. and the town halls will have carefully chosen people with assigned questions that he will answer from cue cards, if he does read, that is. why of why does he have to play house and president? it takes some ego to run for president - even just a little. but to do it the way he did it, especially since he is so under qualified, takes brain dysmorphic disorder, in which you think you're much more intelligent than you really are. what did he think, if president obama could do it, surely he could. that's a laugh and a cry in one very idiotic and disturbing thought. i still feel gutted about him taking office. i feel like i did post 9/11, living not far from nyc at the time, and going back in as soon as i could to make sure life kept going on in nyc. still, waking up, there was a moment for a long time that i would wake and think, holy shit what an awful nightmare. this feels similar, not to diminish the loss of lives that happened in the 2001 terrorist attack.

    2. Anonymous2:54 AM

Vlad Putin played the dirtiest joke on the USA. "Fixing" the election so that the least qualified goon would become our leader. Well, maybe others will wake up soon, and right this ship.

    3. Anonymous6:09 AM

What is the average age of twitterers? My dad who voted for trump hasn't a clue about it.

  19. Anonymous8:05 PM

Trump don't be a scared bitch. You wanted to play president so be one and face the press!

  20. Anonymous8:10 PM

It seems so far that Don the Con is having a good time being president elect. He is weaving in and out of his attention gettin' state. He thinks he has America where he wants it and is just passing us around at his leisure. Man, does he even know us Americans? The pissed off factions got him in and they want him to discriminate like he said he would. But the rest of us, we are gettin' more and more pissed off as he intends to turn this presidency into a fucking clown town.

  21. Anonymous8:14 PM

Donald may not know whats going on but Melania does.

Everywhere she goes with Donald she will be thinking about how all the people are looking at her and her husband. They will be laughing at that joke and saying to themselves the reason he's president is because of Putin.

    1. Anonymous9:53 PM

Actually it is because people, American people, voted for him. But don't let that worry your fat little liberal head.

    2. Anonymous10:23 PM

9:53 PM Is this why they voted for Heir Drumpf?

The Oval Office will become a Bordello and incest den.

But don't let that worry your fat, uneducated CONservative head.

    4. Anonymous4:22 AM

@ 9:53 PM - Actually, people, MORE American people voted for Hillary Clinton. But don't let that worry your fat little Trump a** licking brain.

    5. Anonymous6:21 AM

Melania is also running scared in case the public find out Barron is on the spectrum.
I find NOTHING wrong with that, but his father does.
Drumpf is humiliated that his dusty old sperm created a less than perfect kid, in his sick narcissistic mind. He blames Melania for it, never himself.
That poor little kid. He's just finding out that his dad considers him an embarrassment. Money won't stop that kind of soul crushing.

    1. Anonymous2:56 AM

Many, many people agree with that assessment.

  24. Anonymous8:34 PM

Well before Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, I sent a holiday greeting to my friends that read: “These times are not business as usual. Wishing you the best in a troubled world.” Now I feel the need to share this message with the rest of the world. But before I do, I must tell you who I am and what I stand for.

I am an 86-year-old Hungarian Jew who became a US citizen after the end of World War II. I learned at an early age how important it is what kind of political regime prevails. The formative experience of my life was the occupation of Hungary by Hitler’s Germany in 1944. I probably would have perished had my father not understood the gravity of the situation. He arranged false identities for his family and for many other Jews; with his help, most survived.
The Year Ahead 2017 Cover Image

In 1947, I escaped from Hungary, by then under Communist rule, to England. As a student at the London School of Economics, I came under the influence of the philosopher Karl Popper, and I developed my own philosophy, built on the twin pillars of fallibility and reflexivity. I distinguished between two kinds of political regimes: those in which people elected their leaders, who were then supposed to look after the interests of the electorate, and others where the rulers sought to manipulate their subjects to serve the rulers’ interests. Under Popper’s influence, I called the first kind of society open, the second, closed.

The classification is too simplistic. There are many degrees and variations throughout history, from well-functioning models to failed states, and many different levels of government in any particular situation. Even so, I find the distinction between the two regime types useful. I became an active promoter of the former and opponent of the latter.

I find the current moment in history very painful.

    1. Anonymous2:58 AM

This educated man is more qualified to be president than ignorant showman tRump, even at 86 years of age.

    2. Anonymous6:16 AM

      NO. Soros is Donor Class.
Instead of buying politicians, I wish he'd buy every homeless family a home, and feed the hungry, make health care available to the poor. He wouldn't miss the pocket change.

  25. Anonymous8:58 PM

I won't link to it; SP was interviewed by Breitbart and spent her time advocating the U.S. disengage from the UN...has she no shame?

    1. Anonymous2:59 AM

No. None of the PayMe clan knows what the word "shame" means.

  26. Charlatan Evangelist is going to pray at Trump's Inauguration. Bet she gets more than $115 for the gig.

"A televangelist who encourages her followers to get closer to God by sending money to her has been invited to Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Paula White spent much of the 2016 presidential campaign convincing evangelicals to vote for Trump, assuring them that he “accepts Jesus as his Lord and savior,” she told Politico. Now she’ll be praying with Trump at his inauguration."

"In 2007, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) launched a congressional probe into the spending habits of White’s ministry, along with five other pastors. Grassley had questions regarding the televangelists’ use of church-owned airplanes and luxury homes. The Senate inquiry was eventually dropped, in part because White refused to cooperate with investigators.

Years later, White declared bankruptcy on the church she initially ran with her then-husband that had been the subject of the probe, Politico reported."

Is anyone surprised that *THIS* is the minister Trump would choose to officiate at his inauguration?

    1. Anonymous3:01 AM

Well, a woman after tRump's own heart! I wonder if he will "grab her p**sy?

  27. Anonymous10:14 PM

He is your next President dude. Do you still not get it? This is what happens when you go all in for Hillary Clinton per DNC instruction. Don't think just do baby. You were warned PLENTY.

    1. Anonymous1:34 AM

Awww, are you still whining about Bernie the Socialist?

    2. Anonymous6:13 AM

      @1:34am, failed troll.

Sanders is a Democratic Socialist who ran as a Democrat, which is not the same as a 'socialist'.

Have your mummy look up the definitions of both terms for you next time, since acquiring knowledge scares you. And maybe have Mummy compose your next attempt at a little jest, too? Since you SUCK at it.

    3. "This is what happens when you go all in for Hillary Clinton per DNC instruction."
What a stupid thing to say.

  28. First it was the Rockettes (who coincidentally only performed at Republican inaugurations.)

Now it's the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Okay. Let's set aside the fact that Donald Trump would invite Lawrence Welk if he were still alive. This is an inauguration for old fogies.

" “Participation in the choir, including the performance at the Inauguration, is voluntary,” church spokesman Eric Hawkins reiterated in a statement Thursday. “Only a limited number of choir members are participating (the number is limited by the inaugural committee), and none are required to participate.”"

Where have we heard *that* before?

"The choir previously sang at swearing-in ceremonies for George H. W. Bush (1989), Richard Nixon (1969) and Lyndon Johnson (1965). It performed in inaugural parades for George W. Bush (2001), George H. W. Bush (1989) and Ronald Reagan (1981)."

"Response to the choir’s appearance “has been mixed, with people expressing both opposition and support,” Hawkins said last week in a prepared statement.

The choir’s long tradition of performing for presidents “is not an implied support of party affiliations or politics,” he said. “It is a demonstration of our support for freedom, civility and the peaceful transition of power.”"

Really? Then why do you only perform at fucking Republican inaugurations you hypocritical douchebag? Oh, forgive me. Johnson. That was...50 years ago! And that was the swearing in ceremony. 1 out of 5 and 50 years ago. Not one Democratic President since.

"“Response to the announcement has been mixed, with people expressing both opposition and support," church spokesman Eric Hawkins said in a statement. "The choir's participation continues its long tradition of performing for U.S. presidents of both parties at inaugurations and in other settings, and is not an implied support of party affiliations or politics. It is a demonstration of our support for freedom, civility and the peaceful transition of power.”"

Again, Eric. You have to go back 50 years in order to include both parties. ONE Democrat.

"The choir has been a regular at presidential inaugurations for more than half a century, performing at five for presidents of both parties."

There's lies, damned lies and there's statistic. That statement really makes it sound like they are non-partisan, doesn't it?

Don King, whoever he is, was there because he's African American and willing to be a Trump patsy, not because he has anything substantive to offer. I think that everyone there was supposed to think how wonderful Trump is, he has an African American friend in tow.
