On the morning after Donald Trump’s inauguration, acting National Park Service director Michael T. Reynolds received an extraordinary summons: The new president wanted to talk to him.
In a Saturday phone call, Trump personally ordered Reynolds to produce additional photographs of the previous day’s crowds on the Mall, according to three individuals who have knowledge of the conversation. The president believed that the photos might prove that the media had lied in reporting that attendance had been no better than average.
Trump also expressed anger over a retweet sent from the agency’s account, in which side-by-side photographs showed far fewer people at his swearing-in than had shown up to see Barack Obama’s inauguration in 2009.
According to one account, Reynolds had been contacted by the White House and given a phone number to call. When he dialed it, he was told to hold for the president.
For Trump, who sees himself and his achievements in superlative terms, the inauguration’s crowd size has been a source of grievance that he appears unable to put behind him. It is a measure of his fixation on the issue that he would devote part of his first morning in office to it — and that he would take out his frustrations on an acting Park Service director.
Hey, hey Donnie. We understand.
Some guys simply don't measure up to the other guys.
It's nothing to be ashamed of.
You know some people compensate by being nicer people, or more attentive to their loved ones.
Putting their name on giant phallic shaped objects.
Being ostentatious with their wealth.
And of course arguing that it is bigger than it looks.
By the way it really would not have mattered if this Park Service director HAD sent Trump pictures.
As this time lapse video shows, his inaugural crowds were NEVER as impressive as Obama's in 2009.
Let's face it Donnie, you are just not the man that President Obama was, and still is today.
Well, la dee fricken Don...

He is unbelievable to watch! He spreads nothing but disruption, a crappy vocabulary, retaliation to those that hurt his feelings, hate, lies and racism. He also seems to like the idea of war! God help our country and the world!
Oh, and as to our relationship with England! President Obama was loved by Queen Elizabeth but we've not seen one statement to that 'fact' by any in the press or media. Hell, the press and media rarely are even talking about President Obama who did a heck of a job throughout his two terms in spite of the major disruption of the Republicans led by Mith McConnell.
Trump must have quieted the press and media as to not mentioning or referencing our wonderful past POTUS! God, but the country (and world) miss him!
I'll wager those in England do not trust or like The Donald they are viewing and hearing as the new leader of our nation. (And, I use the word 'leader' very loosely!)

ReplyDeleteLeaked Tape Reveals That Republicans Are Terrified And Running Scared On Obamacare Repeal

http://www.politicususa.com/2017/01/27/leaked-tape-reveals-republicans-terrified-running-scared-obamacare-repeal.html
Isn't it pathetic. In the 1990's when President Clinton tried to propose a kind of universal health care, the GOP opposed it and offered nothing in its place. Then for eight years the GOP was in charge of the White House and still no proposals for major health care reform. When President Obama put forth what became Obamacare, the GOP threw as many monkey wrenches in it as possible and, after it passed, continued their disruptive efforts and tried about 50 times to repeal the law. And still, today, the GOP has no idea how to make good health care more affordable and more accessible to the majority of the American people.

And now one of the White House insiders claims Donald Trump has become so exasperated by the growing level of public protest and resistance against him that he shouted “Don’t they know I’m the fucking president?” so loudly it could be heard outside of a closed door meeting. No Better Description Of This Ungrateful, Angry Monster Has Ever Been Written
ReplyDeleteWell, a commenter on the New York Times article, The Politics of Cowardice nails it right on the head, breaking it down in a way that I wish I had.
...Why is it that someone who had never wondered how he was going to pay for college, someone who (unlike myself) was backed by the generosity of the happenstance of wealthy parents, someone who cycles through luxury, why is he not grateful? Why is he so angry?
Look at this wealthy, powerful man's face. He is tormented, even twisted by his fears, and envy and pride, despite the evidence and, as he often brags, the rewards of his greed and gluttony.
Why do I, a poor man by comparison, live in a state of gratitude, while he is in service to his envy and wrath? I view Mr. Trump's fear, lust and sloth and I do not envy him.

So, since he’s a textbook case, let’s hit the textbook. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) – the American Psychiatric Association’s guidebook for mental health diagnosis – gives diagnostic criteria for all mental illnesses. Between the fourth and fifth editions, the criteria for NPD changed, so I am going to use both to paint a fuller picture. During a press conference in Philadelphia on Thursday, Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell were squirming like a couple of middle school teenagers caught spanking it in the boys room, and now trying to explain their actions to the principal.
ReplyDeleteIn actuality, this is Ryan and McConnell trying (and failing) to confidently come across like they know what they are talking about in reference to Donald Trump’s great wall. They both seem genuinely nervous, perhaps about what is happening in the country, and maybe just a little apprehensive that their master plan to use Trump — might end up backfiring on them and thus destroy their own careers. A hunch. Ryan’s facial expressions and body language speak volumes. Donald Trump's ban on federal funds going to international organizations that provide abortion information as part of their reproductive services will have sweeping health consequences across the globe. In part, that's because it is written much more broadly than those implemented by previous GOP administrations, writes the New York Times:
ReplyDeleteThe wording in the Trump order extends the restrictions to all American global health aid, an $8.5 billion pot of money, according to an analysis by the Kaiser Family Foundation, a research organization. More than half of that money goes to programs for H.I.V. and AIDS, including services for women of reproductive age, the analysis found. An additional 9 percent goes to maternal and child health care, which is partly aimed at promoting safe pregnancies.
By contrast, the last time the rule was in place, under President George W. Bush, it applied only to family planning money, an amount that is currently around $520 million, the analysis found.
As health providers braced for cuts from Washington, the Netherlands lost no time in casting itself as a defender of reproductive rights. Its Foreign Ministry said Wednesday that it would start an international fund “to make up as much as possible for this financial blow.” It gave no specifics.
Just to be clear, U.S. money was already prohibited from funding abortions abroad. This is just a really sloppy, overly broad attack on the mere mention of the term. Now it will adversely affect everything from the worldwide effort to combat HIV/AIDS to family planning services to basic healthcare needs. Social conservative groups like the Family Research Council are grinning ear to ear—they likely wrote the verbiage so its damage would go far beyond abortion. And it will.

DeleteReport: McConnell Shot Down Trump's Proposal To Abolish Electoral College
ReplyDeleteSenate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) reportedly shot down a suggestion from President Donald Trump this week that the Electoral College be replaced with a national popular vote for President
According to the Wall Street Journal, which recapped Trump’s first week in office on Friday, discussion of the Electoral College took place during a White House meeting between Trump and senior congressional leaders on Tuesday.
Citing anonymous sources who attended the meeting, the Journal reported that Trump raised the possibility of adopting a nation-wide popular vote in the meeting, even thought he lost that metric to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by nearly 3 million votes.
This would have been the same meeting in which Trump reportedly brought up, again, his baseless belief that millions of "illegal" votes lost him a popular vote victory.
McConnell cautioned against the idea, according to the Journal, pointing out the complex recount process in Florida in 2000 and projecting the headache on a national scale. Trump demurred, according to the report.

ReplyDeleteMelania is always one step behind whether it be on an elevator announcing her husbands run or exiting a limo by herself holding a gift while her husband ignores her for his glory.
Money does not equal class. Look at the footage from which the photo was taken. Melania sold herself for money but i think she never bargained for this. I almost feel sorry for her and the pressure she is under. Her kid Barron is autistic and her husband ignores her all that money and she is miserable.
Just look at that first photo. The God damn President left the First lady behind Melania was scared and it showed and the Obamas were so classy. Every woman who saw this knew immediately what Fake Orange fat ass Tan Trump really thought of her and all women.
ReplyDeletetrump (whining): "I do so have a yuuuuge dick and if I could find it or see it or reach it I'd prove it. So there! All you losers are jealous! Sad!

Not alot of unheartlandishly hued citizens
in attendance. The ones I did find in the
crowd are being eyed up by two Hitler youth:
