Donald Trump's top Nazi calls the media the "opposition party" and orders it to "keep its mouth shut."

Courtesy of the New York Times:

Just days after President Trump spoke of a “running war’’ with the media, his chief White House strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, ratcheted up the attacks, arguing that news organizations had been “humiliated” by the election outcome and repeatedly describing the media as “the opposition party” of the current administration.

“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while,” Mr. Bannon said in an interview on Wednesday.

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

Sure they do. They've been reporting on how James Comey and the Russians stole it for him for over two months now.

Joseph Goebbels went on to say this:

“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong,” Mr. Bannon said of the election, calling it “a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.”

“The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign,” Mr. Bannon said. “Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: They were outright activists of the Clinton campaign.” (He did not name specific reporters or editors.)

“That’s why you have no power,” he added. “You were humiliated.”

Well I have to agree with him that we were humiliated.

After all most of us were unaware of just how ignorant so many Americans were in this country.

So now the Trump campaign has essentially made it absolutely clear that they are waging a war on the media.

Oh, I'm sorry. Not ALL of the media.

Courtesy of CNN:

President Trump is getting information and affirmation from Fox News, and he's going a step further, openly promoting the conservative cable news channel.

"Turn on Fox," he told ABC's David Muir when confronted by criticism of his speech at CIA headquarters, "and see how it was covered."

Trump said other networks, including ABC, covered the speech "very inaccurately," but he said Fox got it right. He cited Fox's coverage three times. "That speech was a home run. That speech, if you look at Fox, OK, I'll mention you -- we see what Fox said. They said it was one of the great speeches," Trump said.

Go ahead. Say that it is unfair to keep comparing Donald Trump to Hitler.

I dare you.

    This POS is a disease.

    1. Anonymous4:46 PM

When I see his photo, all I can think is cirrhosis of the liver and take a bath. I wonder if he smells as bad as he looks.

    2. Anonymous9:32 PM

Maybe pustular cirrhosis of the liver? Or probably just the stench from his rotting soul.

  2. Anonymous11:46 AM

Bannon says: "They [the media] still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States."

He's wrong. The media understand perfectly why Trump is president. The media gleefully smooshed Trump's incoherent ramblings into palatable sound bites. The media gleefully pounded out Benghazi and emailzzzzzz stories daily.

We all know why Donald Trump is president. He has a penis. The other candidate does not have a penis.

The media knows the truth, the politicians know the truth, the voters know the truth. "TRUMP THAT BITCH" decided the election.

    1. Anonymous1:30 PM

Yes certain media only covered trump and his lies. The worst case was morning Joe scarsbough and meeker his mistress. They are trump chums and bet with barnacle at the elevator ride for a new truck that trump will win. Old giddy and chitty gloated with glee.

  3. Anonymous11:56 AM

F off bannon. I will never shut up and you will be one of the first persons I haunt when I die. pos toxic shit.

  4. Anonymous11:57 AM

He is one ugly sleazy creepy anal sucking scum.

  5. Bannon said of the election, calling it “a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there."

Cracks me up! I looked up at his picture .... the word "wash" just struck me as hilarious. He looks like a guy who's been sleeping in an abandoned chicken house with a bottle in a paper bag.

Conway looks like a meth head. And Sonny Perdue who is in line for Ag Dept. Head Chicken Man is best butties with disgraced minister Gothard, the perv Duggar minister who has molested 34 women and is DJT's spiritual adviser.

Oh and most fun factoid today. Sean Spicer was the Easter bunny on the White House lawn for Dubya.
Guess he is used to hiding and hopping, huh?

    1. Anonymous1:14 PM

A stunning defeat like McLame and Palin were handed from the pepper and salt duo of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

    2. Anonymous3:14 PM

      Good one 1:14

    3. Anonymous3:15 PM

      It was such a landslide

    4. I will never address him as President and knowing his fetishism for all things pee-pee, well....Pissident seems appropriate.

  6. What kind of fresh hell is going on? When am I going to wake up from this nightmare? Thankfully most of America ain't buying his bullshit. The Pissident's approval rating is at like 36% or something which, by the way, means some of the morons that voted for him are having second thoughts. You fucking idiots!

    1. Not sure which I love more...Dorothy Parker or "Pissident."

President was never going to be uttered, but Pissident streams so easily. Hugely. All the way to Jina!
      Oh. And thanks!

    2. Anonymous2:28 PM

Will steal it and use it from now on. THANK YOU, LAURENSD1!

  7. Anonymous12:11 PM

Bannon is nothing but a racist, sexist skid row drunk.

  8. Sharon12:15 PM

Not for nothing but....does this guy look homeless? For someone obsessed with having beautiful people instead of smart ones around in the hell does this guy even rate in the door? He certainly can't dress himself let alone shave...hes is so gross, dirty looking. He makes Trump's hair look acceptable and that is saying alot.

Does anyone else feel like this country is being held hostage? What is it gonna take for what shitty leadership we got to stand up and say....he is a mentally gone, get him out of office? Keith, Robert Reich and now Leonard & Bernstein are actually saying outloud he is mentally unstable...jeezz louis, just take him out!!!!

I want someone to start screaming about Detroit and their poison water instead of wasting 5 million on ad space already paid for about Obamacare and that friggin wall.

    1. Anonymous1:04 PM

  9. Anonymous12:23 PM

I wonder if Bannon is aware of the great number of Trump voters already fed up with him? There seem to be several twitter accounts tweeting and ret-tweeting about voters' regrets. This is the largest with over 90,000 followers already.

  10. Anonymous12:27 PM

Bannon sounds as though he thinks the sheep in America are going to follow his every word! Screw him! This is unbelievable to watch. The Nazis coming to rule us with their Hitler II leader? Hardly! Americans have awakened and we will not follow their lead!

Impeachment should be on the table as to Trump!

Media and press, do stay on them! Publicize what they are saying and doing. Investigate their lies, each of their histories in America as well as their fraudulent ways!

They are ALL anti America - Trump, his family members, his cabinet and Bannon most assuredly!

  11. Anonymous12:50 PM

A reporter yesterday said that those in the media are loving being a journalist at this time in history. They love the idea of digging up dirt in this administration. It's a swamp and many went into journalism to expose corruption. Trump and Bannon are stupid. If anything, they are just galvanizing the press to bring the whole operation down.

    1. Anonymous1:50 PM

Yes. And if they would have done their job 18 months ago this would not have happened. The documents and stories were easily accessible, the facts and truth was there, many spoke up. Many provided information. The networks instead allowed this asshole to dictate, make fake news, lies and insults to americans. Citizens United is behind this take over and the criminals and networks are part it.

    2. Anonymous2:31 PM

Well, it is ABOUT TIME that the journalists figure out that they are supposed to CHECK THE FACTS each and every time they hear something - especially from this cabal!
THIS WAS A COUP, and the journalists were complicit. Now it is time they redeem themselves!

    3. Anonymous4:51 PM

CBS nightly news is calling trump lies, “exaggerations”, state they fact checked them and here is what we found> then they present the FACTS.

Interesting because donnie can’t whine that they are calling him a liar.

    4. Too late now.

If that's what they wanted they should have done it before the elections.

But they wanted a horse race so they made Trump as legitimate as possible and tore Clinton down to try to even the score. But they miscalculated and now they have an enemy of the first amendment controlling the nation.

Sure they can try to expose him while he is busy undermining their credibility, calling them fake news and liars.

Too late. Trump is controlling the narrative now. And it's THEIR FAULT.

  12. We are in a siege now. And since the GOP have decided for the most part to be gutless collaborators, we're fucked.
And it's not going to end well.

    1. Anonymous1:35 PM

It's going to start in our own country - neighbor against neighbor and I've been saying it since before the election!

Look at all the upheaval the assholes (Trump and his cabinet) have created in such a short time! This mess is on Republicans and Donald Trump! They are one evil bunch and could care less about their fellow Americans!

Prepare, talk and protect each other! Include the poor and minorities that might be in your neighborhood.

Trump is satan himself! Hell is right here on earth!

    2. Anonymous1:52 PM

We are the majority. To win our demands would depend on our military and law enforcement standing with the people instead of criminals.

  13. Anonymous1:02 PM

OK! HA! ", Greene says that it was collected donations to help victims of storms that had ravaged Southern Georgia over the past weekend." Riiggghhht.

  14. Anonymous1:07 PM

Ha. He was pretty much right about everything he said. the dummies still don;t get it.

    1. Anonymous1:29 PM

You're right about the dummies, 1:07. You don;t get it for sure. This isn't a dictatorship. A free press doesn't swallow propaganda. Trump is an illegitimately elected president under the sway of a Russian strongman. There ARE emails out there and VIDEOS that WILL be leaked.

    2. Anonymous2:04 PM

Bannon is right about ONE thing. We have been humiliated....our country has been humiliated by the entire world witnessing the fact that an insane clown is not at the helm of a once-great country.

    3. Anonymous2:55 PM

Doesn't know a semicolon from an apostrophe. She's limited in many ways including grammar. She's a true dummy. Hi Sarah.

    4. Anonymous3:59 PM

correcting typo from 2:04. Insane clown IS NOW at the helm, not NOT at the helm. Wanta make that real clear.

    5. Anonymous11:42 PM

watch out Sarah someone might roll that beautiful bean footage of the old old man!

  15. Anonymous1:33 PM

    Liar king drumpf

  16. Anonymous1:37 PM

Beware and pay attention. This was not about R or L. It is about citizen united billionaires wanting profits and a new gig to siphon money and pay for their elite bunkers for world war 3 and the chaos their stiring. Billionaires come from both parties and their standing together today. Its all about money.
The New Yorker has a good article online.

  17. Anonymous1:39 PM

So let me get this straight. We suffered through almost two years of non-stop "Donald this, Donald that" ass-kissing as he soaked up the free publicity, and NOW they're complaining when they were complicit in it? Screw all of 'em!

  18. Anonymous1:45 PM

Time to send bannon duck hunting with cheney.

    1. That's only buckshot.

      Send him deer hunting.

  19. Anonymous1:56 PM

GOOD!"This legislation would prohibit the President from launching a nuclear first strike without a declaration of war by Congress. "

    1. Anonymous2:44 PM

      THIS TOO!

  20. Jake Tapper replies: "uh, no."

Thus should every media outlet respond to Bannon's call to shut up. uh, NO!

And in the Trump still can't let it go category we have:

"President Donald Trump personally called the head of the National Park Service on the day after his inauguration to ask for photographic evidence that would support his claims about the size of the crowd at the event, The Washington Post reported.

A National Park Service official confirmed to The Huffington Post that the call took place on Saturday but would not comment further."

"According to The Washington Post’s sources, Trump asked Michael T. Reynolds, the National Park Service’s acting director, to turn over more photos of the Mall, suspecting that additional photos would support his crowd size claim. Reynolds reportedly complied with the request, but the photos did not support the numbers the president had touted. "

"On Friday, the agency retweeted photographs comparing Trump and Obama’s inauguration crowds. Shortly after, the agency was ordered to stop using its Twitter account, later telling CNN its account was frozen in order to determine if it had been hacked.

Then, after staffers at the Environmental Protection Agency said they were told to cease social media use and communication with the media, the official account for Badlands National Park in South Dakota began tweeting facts about climate change. The tweets have since been deleted, and the agency said they were posted by a former employee.

On Wednesday, Death Valley National Park in California began a similar social media campaign, tweeting about the imprisonment of Japanese-Americans during World War II just as Trump signed an executive order restricting the entry of refugees from predominantly Muslim countries.

Twitter users have rallied around NPS staffers, and several “alternative” national park accounts have popped up in recent days."

Keith Olbermann has nailed Trump at every turn. He is mentally unstable. He is obsessed about "winning". And he just can't let this numbers at his inauguration thing go.

Trump is a LOSER. He LOST the popular vote. He LOST as far as his inauguration goes in both those physically present and those watching through various media. He is a LOSER when it comes to approval ratings and popularity.

And it's eating him up inside. He can't handle it. This is what is going to do him in. The constant reminder that he is a LOSER and a majority of the people HATE him.

  21. Time for a repost on Fascism.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over” Joseph Goebbels

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." —George W. Bush, Greece, N.Y., May 24, 2005
    -President Bush

"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion." Joseph Goebbels

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." - Benito Mussolini.

    Danger signs of fascism:

    1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism.
    2. Disdain for the importance of human rights.
    3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause.
    4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism.
    5. Rampant sexism.
    6. A controlled mass media.
    7. Obsession with national security.
    8. Religion and ruling elite tied together.
    9. Power of corporations protected.
    10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated.
    11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts.
    12. Obsession with crime and punishment.
    13. Rampant cronyism and corruption.
    14. Fraudulent elections.

(How many out of those 14 has Trump hit?)

    Here are some more signs:

    1. Instability of capitalist relationships or markets

    2. The existence of considerable declassed social elements

    3. The stripping of rights and wealth focused upon a specific segment of the population, specifically the middle class and intellectuals within urban areas as this is the group with the means, intelligence and ability to stop fascism if given the opportunity.

    4. Discontent among the rural lower middle class (clerks, secretaries, white collar labor). Consistent discontent among the general middle and lower middle classes against the oppressing upper-classes (haves vs have-nots).

    5. Hate: Pronounced, perpetuated and accepted public disdain of a specific group defined by race, origin, theology or association. (How often have you heard the words "Homo", "Gay" or "Liberal" used in such a manner?)

    6. Greed: The motivator of fascism, which is generally associated with land, space or scarce resources in the possession of those being oppressed.

    7. Organized Propaganda:

    A) The creation of social mythology that venerates (creates saints of) one element of society while concurrently vilifying (dehumanizing) another element of the population through misinformation, misdirection and the obscuring of factual matter through removal, destruction or social humiliation, (name-calling, false accusations, belittling and threats).

    B) The squelching of public debate not agreeing with the popular agenda via slander, libel, threats, theft, destruction, historical revisionism and social humiliation. Journalists in particular are terrorized if they attempt to publish stories contrary to the agenda.

(How many of those 7 are we living with?)

We may be a "flawed democracy" now but we are slipping fast and further down the list. Active responsibility can be laid at the Republican's door but passive responsibility can be laid at the door of the Democratic Party for failure to stop it.

    This didn't start with Trump.

It didn't start with Bush/Cheney either but it certainly accelerated under them.

This has been going on since Reagan. Slowly and systematically. Now that it is so blatantly obvious, it's too late to stop it.

    1. Anonymous4:02 PM

Correct. REAGAN. And I'm afraid you're right about stopping it. They just thumb their noses at "we the people," and go about their business.

Although there are some strong parallels to Hitler's behaviors, I actually see trump being closer to Mussolini in comparison (and there are certainly plenty of pictures showing trump in classic Mussolini poses).

I say this because of the bravado trump displays that is not backed by substance....and Mussolini eventually needed Hitler to bail him out of some situations caused by his incompetence.

Look for trump to have to depend on Putin for similar help at some point.

  25. Anonymous3:14 PM

Fuck you bannon. The next four years will be the worst of your miserable life.

    1. Anonymous11:40 PM

none of them think ahead to the fact that Barack can be a legal representative for the media and well they already love him. so. he can also go to the UN or ICC and get the media to follow him there - live coverage! yeah bannon is a fucking idiot!

  26. Anonymous3:18 PM

  27. Anonymous3:25 PM

  28. Anonymous3:26 PM

It's an interesting insight into the Trump/Bannon mentality. They seem to think that the media should have been punished for not predicting the election results. The very fact that they predicted a Clinton win together with all the mean stuff they have said and written about the Donald proves that they were playing for the other team, right? They were losers and should have lost their jobs. They should be feeling a crushing sense of humiliation that their side didn't win despite all their efforts to play so unfairly.

It seems Trump/Bannon are frustrated that the media isn't eating humble pie and playing along to get forgiveness from the Evil Empire.

  29. Anonymous5:18 PM

You know for a group that supposedly won, they sure are spending a lot of time trying to convince themselves they won by attacking others. Donnie won but he doesn’t have a mandate nor the popular vote. Boo hoo

Who said the election is rigged>trump, who keeps bringing up voter fraud>trump

Making attacks on others, like trumpy troll @1:07 with their immature vocabulary is all part of the propaganda.

They are terrified the truth will come out. Trumps ties with russia, how involved the FBI was in the rigging.

The only dummies are people like trumpy troll, who think trump is working for them. He not only could careless about them and has no plans to create jobs or affordable healthcare, he won’t be caught dead even eating dinner with them.

They are so stupid they haven’t even realized his cabinet is all the people they profess to hate: Wall St elite, Goldman Sachs executives, those that foreclose on their homes and created the recession, millionaires and billionaires that don’t pay taxes, crony capitalist and long time politicians. All of whom could careless about the “forgotten” people’s best interests.

What a rude awakening that will be.

    1. Legitimacy.

They are desperate to make it look legitimate.

Give them a few months and they will have completely rewritten history. They're already scrubbing the White House website.

Once their FCC guy gets going, you'll be surprised how thoroughly they are going to be able to scrub the web and control the narrative.

    2. Anonymous7:13 PM

Uhhhh, new administrations always set new policy and direction from the old ones, especially if a different political party takes over. Is this your first election little ones?

    3. Anonymous8:36 PM

@7:13 Little one grumpy bernie, trumpy troll

Yes, this is our first election where the president thinks his own term is illegal and their only policy is to whine they didn’t win by enough.

Must be really hard for you to realize trump is NOT popular and no one is bowing down to kiss his butt. Bernie didn’t win either.

    4. Anonymous5:10 AM

@ 7:13 little condescending troll, ummm he isn’t writing policy. He is ruling by Executive Order, you know what he called unconstitutional when the black guy did it and obviously with no understanding of the consequences.

It isn’t his job to write/rewrite the law, that the job of Congress. He isn’t in trump tower anymore; he is in the WH and should show some adult leadership and stop acting like a tyrant.

  30. Anonymous5:42 PM

Wow, bannon is nuts. Imagine him typing up each executive order for the fat arse in a white house. Trying to be president. And fatty little fingers brings in cameras to show him signing. Fake news. They all state, "all work and no play make teeny djt a fat arse". LOL!

  31. Anonymous8:22 PM

    Bannon Takes Control

..... Politico and the Hill supply some data points about the all-important paper flow in Washington. Steve Bannon, the former Goldman Sachs executive-turned-Breitbart news chief, is running the government, while the president argues with actresses....

  32. Anonymous7:58 AM

Like he was silent when Obama was President? I flip him off holding the finger upright, and then turn the hand 90 degrees (I don't like his horse, either)

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
