Absolutely. He has to be feeling quite relived by now. Anybody seen his low-energy, kid brother lately? Has he put the fat back on? So easy to imagine him last Friday, sitting around in a stained-tank top, gorging and playing with his navel.

DeleteBush wasn't inherently mean spirited and vindictive. He didn't delight in suffering, revel in retaliation or glory in one-upmanship. And he could smile. Laugh even.
I've never seen Trump smile a truly, spontaneous, sincere, joyful smile. I don't think he has it in him.
Trump is basically a mean person. Bush was not. Bush even tried to do some good. Trump won't. He will benefit the wealthy at the expense of the poor and he'll think that it's good, simply because he personally benefits. If others do too, that's OK as long as it doesn't take anything away from him.
The Electoral College failed us and we should never let them forget that.
I agree with the above comments. What's more, while his daughters acted out somewhat in their teens (they did not want him to run for a second term and knew much of the country despised their father), they both matured into apparently decent, educated people. Surely both parents contributed to that.

Bush was a doofus and I didn't agree with many of his policies however I didn't have to worry about him deploying nuclear weapons in retaliation for some insignificant criticism.
