Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised to see that it was a Republican who said this. Those "reasonable" Republicans are becoming fewer and farther between.

And that shoe can go on the other foot for the likes of Kathy Griffin and her beheading photo that she has since apologized for.

OT? FYI-"Trump’s ire is misplaced or unwise on several levels. First, yes, Americans buy a lot of German cars, but this isn’t because Germany is dumping BMWs and Volkswagens on the U.S. market; it’s because a lot of Americans like those cars."f those German cars are made in the United States; a BMW plant in South Carolina—the company’s biggest plant in the world—churns out 400,000 cars a year."The CEOs of BMW, Siemens, and Schaeffler, an industrial-parts manufacturer, who met with Trump for an hour, briefing him on their $300 billion investment in the American economy and the 750,000 American jobs that their plants had created. By all accounts, Trump was impressed." no coincidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s chief foreign-policy goal is to restore the old Soviet Union. He can do that only if the European Union is weakened and the ties between the United States and Europe are severed."

Work at the White House? "apparently came as a surprise, and, in a highly unusual and awkward circumstance, no successor for Pelley was announced. Before the leak defined him as a lame-duck anchor, Pelley was expected to resume helming the newscast when he returned to New York next week."

  9. And then you have this:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/portland-stabbing-arraignment_us_592def7ae4b0e95ac194cd5b?ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009

"In a chilling first court appearance on Tuesday, Portland stabbing suspect Jeremy Christian yelled about free speech and patriotism and called for more deaths.

“Free speech or die, Portland!” Christian, 35, yelled as he walked into his arraignment hearing, local NBC outlet KGW reported. “You got no safe place. This is America. Get out if you don’t like free speech!”"

Then there are the shootings in Kentucky that took out the windows of the local paper.

The press is under attack because they report the Truth. Truth is under attack because it opposes hate, racism and bigotry.

And we know who the party of hate, racism and bigotry is, don't we. The one that has White Supremacists embedded in the Trump administration.

Trump didn't bother to say squat about that stabbing. Only it was "unacceptable" in a fucking TWEET. But not one word about this White Supremacist targeting two young girls he thought were muslim and killing the three men who stepped up to defend them. A one line fucking TWEET that was all but ambiguous.

Yes, there is an attack on our freedoms and the press is on the front line. Pummel a reporter, shoot out the windows of a newspaper office.

    What next?

That is where they are. They've been there for a long time with checks and balances. The checks and balances are now gone.
