In response to Lisa Murkowski's no vote on Trumpcare, the Administration threatens Alaska. Update!

Courtesy of Alaska Dispatch:

Early Wednesday, Trump took to Twitter to express displeasure with Murkowski's vote. By that afternoon, each of Alaska's two Republican senators had received a phone call from Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke letting them know the vote had put Alaska's future with the administration in jeopardy.

The response follows Trump's no-holds-barred style of governing, even when it comes to his own party. It is his first strike of retaliation against Murkowski, however, despite her tendency to stray from the party line and the president's priorities.

Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan said the call from Zinke heralded a "troubling message."

"I'm not going to go into the details, but I fear that the strong economic growth, pro-energy, pro-mining, pro-jobs and personnel from Alaska who are part of those policies are going to stop," Sullivan said.

"I tried to push back on behalf of all Alaskans. … We're facing some difficult times and there's a lot of enthusiasm for the policies that Secretary Zinke and the president have been talking about with regard to our economy. But the message was pretty clear," Sullivan said. The Interior secretary also contacted Murkowski, he said.

Oh you fucking stepped in it now.

If Donald Trump thinks that he can make Alaskans turn on one of their own by threatening our economy he has another think coming.

We may not all agree with each other politically, but if an out of stater attacks one of our own, they are going to witness a circling of the wagons like they have never seen before.

We live in one of the harshest climates on the planet, and are constantly surrounded by predators that will kill us just as soon as look at us, so if that corpulent orange POS thinks that Alaskans cave to threats than he knows nothing about us as a people.

And by the way if Lisa Murkowski's no vote on Trumpcare keeps his administration from inflicting their economic plans on us, I might even erect a statue to her in my backyard.

The very LAST thing I want is for the guy who has almost as even more bankruptcies than ex-wives, to "help" Alaska economically.

Yes, yes I know, Lisa Murkowski is a political animal who probably made her decions based on careful political calculations, but at least she is actually one of us.

Dan Sullivan on the other hand is a carpetbagger bought and paid for by the Koch brothers who does not give a shit about Alaskans, and is only interested in furthering his own career and lining his own pockets.

So of COURSE he is going to vote along with Donald Trump and support Donald Trump policies.

Look if we get a good Democrat to run against her I will likely vote against her in the next election cycle, but if I have to choose sides between my Senator and that shitgibbon in the White House, I will stand with Lisa Murkowski every time.

Update: Lisa retaliates.
Have to remember that Lisa Murkowski learned at the feet of her father Frank, and a guy named Ted Stevens.

I was not a fan of either one, but when it came to playing political hardball those guys had very few equals.

  3. Isn't this basically extortion? The opposite of buying votes, which he already tried with her. Threats if you don't vote his way.

LOL. Right. What are they going to do? Deny those permits for Pebble Mine? No permits for drilling? Refuse to allow the hunting of wolves from helicopters, killing of pups in their dens and baiting of bears?

Okay. Please, please don't throw me into that briar patch.

I can think of a lot worse punishments.

I suspect none of this will have an effect on Murkowski unless it is to entrench her even further, if your description of native Alaskans pertains to Murkowski. The harder he pushes her the more she'll resist.

    Trump is gonna hate that.

    Good.

if that corpulent orange POS thinks that Alaskans cave to threats than he knows nothing about us as a people.

You would think he would know all about Alaska and the people.

Doesn't he know about his grandfather? He knew the people when he lived in Alaska.

Doesn't Trump know where the Trump fortune started? Had it not been for the people of Alaska back in the day, it is doubtful gramps could have made so much money anywhere else. No other people he knew would have made him so rich.

Trump would be smart to keep up with the people of Alaska. He may think they are all Sarah Palin and Lisa Murkowski is just some wayward sister. He will fix her.

I'm hoping she'll fuck off after this term. She's a wealthy old grandmother who should be living her life but she shares her father's avarice and that shouldn't be encouraged. It's past time someone younger was given an opportunity (don't forget, Lisa's seat was a gift from her daddy), Lisa should be mentoring someone right now but her Murkowski greed won't let her let go of the power.

First, some lies we plucked out of their “straight talk” joking bonhomie.

Senator McCain complained that he didn’t want to act like the dastardly Dems, who “rammed through” Obamacare without a single Republican vote. The Affordable Care Act may not have received a Republican vote, but it received a year of hearings, 161 Republican amendments, and was based on a Republican think tank plan. It didn’t get a Republican vote because of spite and McConnell’s plan to deprive President Obama of any legislative accomplishments and “make Obama a one-term president.”

Senator Graham complained that “four states receive 40 percent of Obamacare dollars.” Perhaps you remember, Republican governors SUED for the privilege of declining Obamacare dollars. THAT IS WEIRD HOW THEY ARE NOT GETTING OBAMACARE DOLLARS. BAD OBAMACARE! UNFAIR.

Senator Ron Johnson showed a lie chart about premiums exploding under Obamacare. You know what might have stopped that (in the states where premiums did rise)? The Republican Congress not suing to keep from paying to stabilize insurers’ losses when they took on customers with pre-existing health issues, as was required by the law. He also keeps talking about “Sherry and Vern,” who had to sell their house to meet their rising premiums. Personal bankruptcies have dropped by HALF since the Affordable Care Act was enacted, fuck you very much.

I have not been angrier this week than I am right now, at the New Three Amigos’ pretending to be principled “no votes,” while they will sell out healthcare for millions — including every member of your Wonkette staff — that they claim “is a failure.”

He would have no idea that Lisa won a write-in election AGAINST the Republicans... all he sees is how she went right back to sucking McConnell's ass as soon as Alaskans returned her to the senate.

Fuck Lisa Murkowski, I'd venture her no vote is all part of McConnell's plan to get nothing done that would make Republicans lose in 2018. She's his girl, not Alaska's. Don't ever think otherwise.

Anthony Scaramucci Called Me to Unload About White House Leakers, Reince Priebus, and Steve Bannon

    He started by threatening to
fire the entire White House communications staff. It escalated from there.
...I asked him why it was so important for the dinner to be kept a secret. Surely, I said, it would become public at some point. “I’ve asked people not to leak things for a period of time and give me a honeymoon period,” he said. “They won’t do it.” He was getting more and more worked up, and he eventually convinced himself that Priebus was my source.

“They’ll all be fired by me,” he said. “I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow. I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus—if you want to leak something—he’ll be asked to resign very shortly.” The issue, he said, was that he believed Priebus had been worried about the dinner because he hadn’t been invited. “Reince is a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” Scaramucci said. He channelled Priebus as he spoke: “ ‘Oh, Bill Shine is coming in. Let me leak the fucking thing and see if I can cock-block these people the way I cock-blocked Scaramucci for six months.’ ” (Priebus did not respond to a request for comment.)

Scaramucci was particularly incensed by a Politico report about his financial-disclosure form, which he viewed as an illegal act of retaliation by Priebus. The reporter said Thursday morning that the document was publicly available and she had obtained it from the Export-Import Bank. Scaramucci didn’t know this at the time, and he insisted to me that Priebus had leaked the document, and that the act was “a felony.”

“I’ve called the F.B.I. and the Department of Justice,” he told me.

    “Are you serious?” I asked.

“The swamp will not defeat him,” he said, breaking into the third person. “They’re trying to resist me, but it’s not going to work. I’ve done nothing wrong on my financial disclosures, so they’re going to have to go fuck themselves.”

Scaramucci also told me that, unlike other senior officials, he had no interest in media attention. “I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock,” he said, speaking of Trump’s chief strategist. “I’m not trying to build my own brand off the fucking strength of the President. I’m here to serve the country.” (Bannon declined to comment.)

He reiterated that Priebus would resign soon, and he noted that he told Trump that he expected Priebus to launch a campaign against him. “He didn’t get the hint that I was reporting directly to the President,” he said. “And I said to the President here are the four or five things that he will do to me.” His list of allegations included leaking the Hannity dinner and the details from his financial-disclosure form.

With Trump’s ‘Green Light,’ Scaramucci Declares Total War on ‘Paranoid Schizophrenic’ Reince Priebus

President Donald Trump has not only blessed efforts by his new communications director Anthony Scaramucci to wage a battle against chief of staff Reince Priebus, he’s actively egging on the very public and painful feud.

The ante was upped Thursday evening after a profanity-laced tirade was published in the New Yorker in which Scaramucci raged against Priebus and White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, and promised to fire the communications staff if it helped to root out leaks.

White House officials and outside allies say the president is revelling in Scaramucci’s campaign against Priebus—undertaken through cable news appearances and a billow of tweets, some of which were subsequently deleted—and is thrilled to see a top staffer placing a publicly bombastic emphasis on White House leaks to the press, which consistently infuriate the president.

“The president specifically gave [Scaramucci] the green light to go after Reince”—on-air if necessary—one White House adviser told The Daily Beast, citing conversations with President Trump. Scaramucci himself claimed that he had secured Trump’s “blessing” for his words and actions in a phone call with the president prior to a Thursday morning CNN interview.

The Mooch’s Profanity-Laden, Mobster On Crack Style Call Proves Trump’s Descent Into Madness

Threatening to fire anyone who leaks and promising that the FBI will get anyone who "cock-blocked" him, Trump's new Communication Director Anthony Scaramucci's profanity littered phone call with Ryan Lizza is telling, mostly because he didn't even know to ask for it to be off the record or on background.

Here are a few highlights from The New Yorker:

“Reince is a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” Scaramucci said. He channelled Priebus as he spoke: “ ‘Oh, Bill Shine is coming in. Let me leak the fucking thing and see if I can cock-block these people the way I cock-blocked Scaramucci for six months.’ ”

Saying he’s called the FBI and the DOJ, Scaramucci continued, “The swamp will not defeat him,” he said, breaking into the third person. “They’re trying to resist me, but it’s not going to work. I’ve done nothing wrong on my financial disclosures, so they’re going to have to go fuck themselves.”

“I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock.”

“What I want to do is I want to fucking kill all the leakers…”

He promised that he had digital footprints on White House aides who would soon be prosecuted.

This is the guy representing the President who got the white Christian conservative vote. His language is not unusual for this administration. While most people in politics can curse with the best, they know not to do it in public. They don’t use “cock block” and “suck my cock” in an on the record call.

Trump-Touted Wisconsin Deal Forces Taxpayers To Shell Out $3 Billion

...You see, in exchange for Foxconn choosing Wisconsin, Republican lawmakers and Governor Scott Walker approved a $3 billion subsidy for the company. According to Bloomberg, that amounts to taking $519 from every man, woman, and child in Wisconsin to fund what the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel points out “would total more than the combined yearly state funding used to operate the University of Wisconsin System and the state’s prison system.”

...So while Trump is busy touting the deal to make himself look good, he is doing so at the expense of Wisconsin taxpayers, many of whom now have to worry about how they will get by after paying Foxconn’s ransom.

Boy Scouts Forced To Apologize On Trump’s Behalf

...After a fierce backlash following Donald Trump’s appalling speech in front of the Boy Scouts in West Virginia, an official with the organization was forced to apologize for the former reality show star’s wildly inappropriate “political rhetoric.” Initially, the BSA issued a statement but Trump’s speech was not addressed.

On Thursday, since Trump could not find it in himself to apologize for being highly inappropriate, an official with the Boy Scouts of America apologized in a message posted online to the scouting community for the political content of his speech at the National Scout Jamboree.

“I want to extend my sincere apologies to those in our Scouting family who were offended by the political rhetoric that was inserted into the jamboree. That was never our intent,” Michael Surbaugh, Chief Scout Executive, wrote.

Trump’s speech was so awful that a former CIA chief said “it was like watching a dictator” and said it “gave him the creeps.” The amateur president even prompted the crowd of children to boo former president Barack Obama. The event was supposed to be about the Boy Scouts but as usual, Trump’s intense jealousy of his predecessor was on full display.

Surbaugh said “we know the past few days have been overshadowed by the remarks offered by the President of the United States” and that’s putting it mildly.

Fucking Palin doesn't give a shit about Alaska. All she cares about is herself. And, of course, she hates Lisa. Palin thought that Senate seat belonged to her. Because.

I have read the above statements and don't pretend to know why Lisa is on their shit list. What I saw is that she stood her ground when everyone didn't. She and the other six Republicans. Were their motives shady? Who knows. Politicians are all over the place these days.
But for today, I admire Lisa. She and Susan Collins have my begrudging respect. They are strong women, and it's hard to ignore.
I hope to hell it's women who put that orange asshole out of the White House. That would be fitting.
Yes, today, I am in total admiration of Lisa. Tomorrow, who knows? Like I said, the politics are all over the place. Donald has made it worst with his two faced mentality.
I hope that Putin gets nothing out of the deal.

Collins, McCain, and MURKOWSKI defy Turtleface, vote for the people who sent them to the Senate!!!!!!!!!!

Reports are McCain told Schumer around 10:00 PM -- hours before the vote -- that he was voting NO!!!!

Although I'm in Virginia, I'm calling, texting, emailing and faxing Collins, McCain, and Murkowski to congratulate and thank them!!!!!!!!!
