Majority of Republicans think higher education is bad for the country. Well that explains a lot.

Courtesy of the Daily Beast:

Fifty-eight percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say colleges and universities have a negative effect on the country, according to a new Pew Research Center study. This marks a 45 percent increase from last year's study. Comparatively, 72 percent of Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents say higher education has a positive impact on the country. Fifty-five percent of the general population was also found to think positively of higher education.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, Republicans want the American people to be as dumb as possible.

They have been attacking public education and the intellectually elite for decades now because they know full well that smart people do not fall for their bullshit.

When Donald Trump said "I love the poorly educated" he was not just blowing smoke.

Without them he would NEVER have been elected.

Donald Trump Jr. slips up on Sean Hannity show and admits he kept in contact with Russian officials after meeting
    Excerpt:
Sean Hannity asked Donald Trump Jr. what was supposed to have been a softball wrapped in the guise of a serious question: did he have any further contact with the Russian government after his one-off meeting with the Kremlin representative? Hannity was surely expecting Junior to say “no” and move on. But instead Junior seemed caught off guard, pausing for a minute before admitting that he went on to “casually” have further contact with the Russian officials multiple additional times."

Earlier today, Down Goes Trump confidently predicted that Donald Trump would further contribute to his own self-destruction when he appeared on the Sean Hannity show on Fox News tonight. And sure enough, that’s exactly what just happened. But this might be an even bigger slip-up than even we could have cynically predicted.

Sean Hannity asked Donald Trump Jr. what was supposed to have been a softball wrapped in the guise of a serious question: did he have any further contact with the Russian government after his one-off meeting with the Kremlin representative? Hannity was surely expecting Junior to say “no” and move on. But instead Junior seemed caught off guard, pausing for a minute before admitting that he went on to “casually” have further contact with the Russian officials multiple additional times.

Because Hannity is an apologist and a hack, he didn’t properly push for the requisite followup information. But that won’t matter. Now that Donald Trump Jr. has publicly admitted that he had ongoing contacts with Russian officials after his June 2016 meeting, every journalist on earth will begin digging for evidence of what those contacts were. And if Special Counsel Robert Mueller wasn’t already aware of Junior’s additional contacts with Russia, his team will begin digging into it now as well."

"In other words, Donald Trump Jr.’s decision to appear on Hannity tonight was roughly as stupid as everything else he’s said and done over the past three days. He just managed to open up yet another can of worms."

Donald Trump and Ivana Trump gave their children quality educations. University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, The Hill School. What happened? If Donald didn't get his money's worth, this may explain why Donald Trump now says "I love the poorly educated". You don't need a education to have good instincts. An idiot could guess not to meet with a foreign entity to collect dirt for a political campaign. An idiot could know not to keep lying and no matter how many times they are caught to choose more lies. Donald Trump Jr. should stay off any medications or dope and most of all stay away from Fox cameras. Fox is proud and infamous as liars. Liars interviewing liars is redundant.

Donald must want to punch out his son to oblivion, but staff is writing simple tepid support comments for the family mess. It must be killing the Don.

Junior is merely following the family traditions that he learned from his father. It doesn't matter how immoral or illegal your actions and words are because the Trump name (and fancy lawyers) will protect you.

Unfortunately for all of them, what may work in private business does NOT work when you're in the bright, hot spotlight of the White House.

    4. Holy shit. How dumb is this fucker?

You know that children are usually about the same I.Q. level of the average of both parents I.Q.s. I thought Ivana was pretty smart, smarter than her husband. If she was the brains of the pair, you can extrapolate how dumb Donald Sr. must be.

I am reminded of Boopsie and Mini-Me confronting teacher Kathleen Gustafson at the fair over her WGE sign.

Higher education? They don't even value high school diplomas.

What happened to the mob lawyer Alan Futerfas? Did he move on already?

Did you expect a Trump to listen to advice from someone? Their arrogance and stupidity will lead to their ultimate downfall and, hopefully, some significant time behind bars.

    2. LOL. No wonder the Trumps have such problems finding representation. If I were Jr's Mob Lawyer I would drop him as a client. Probably as dumb and uncontrollable as his dad, unwilling to follow advice. Certainly can't keep his mouth shut.

  10. Way back when Apprentice began, one of the male contestants did not have a college education. He was excellent but was fired due to his lack of education. As I recall Trump offered up a 4 year college opportunity...they guy declined. I cannot remember this mans' name but Trump doesn't hire management without degree.

Just who does he think he is kidding?
