Today's Trump Twitter tantrum.

None of those words, "open, transparent, or innocent," actually seem to describe any member of this family.
I think these are actually the sources that Trump himself constantly quotes.

As in "I hear from a lot of people, good people, smart people, that I am doing a great job as president."
The Washington Times is not a legitimate source of accurate information. In fact they are often purveyors of fake news.
Yeah lucky Hillary, she was only dogged for years concerning made up scandals about Benghazi and her private server that saw her testifying before the Senate on multiple occasions.
Please, we all KNOW that you are glued to cable news and freaking out about every new detail that emerges.

Face it you tangerine tinted dipshit, this thing is blowing up all around you and even if you COULD ignore it there is not way it is ever going away.

The Trumps Are Turning On Each Other As Trump’s Own Lawyer Backs Away From Donald Trump Jr.

There are signs that President Trump has retreated to his mental happy place of the 2016 election as Trump took to social media to defend himself against the Russia scandal by claiming that Hillary Clinton may have gotten away with crimes while complaining that he should be allowed to get away with crimes too.

    1. Anonymous8:06 AM

For many, many years Hillary was investigated for any minor thing she said or did. It was exhausting to watch the gop go after her, because she is intelligent. The gop HATES truly intelligent people, especially democratic politicians. Their side attracts the greedy, self serving slimeballs. Now, they have the biggest slimeball in the WH, and it is all their doing along with Russia. I hope the entire party collapses.

...In another reality, any one of these about-faces would have resulted in the firing of a communications staffer. They would have required a moment of reckoning from the administration in which it acknowledged the reversal, and made it clear that the implication of the first statement — that Trump cared about working to tackle election fraud and was looking to Putin to do it; that Donald Trump Jr. had been victimized by the media over an innocent adoption-policy meeting — was false.

This would happen in an administration that cared about truth or accuracy. But it would also happen in an administration that cared about its own narrative — that wanted to hammer home a particular set of facts, “alternative” or otherwise.

This administration simply does not. It flip-flops with as much abandon as it lies.

Outraged Republicans want answers from Trump Jr.

Evidence that President Donald Trump’s eldest son welcomed the Russian government’s help in his father’s campaign outraged Republicans in Congress on Tuesday, driving senators to demand more answers, and fast, as a new lane of inquiry opened in congressional probes of potential collusion with the Kremlin.

"Other shoes will drop before this thing is over,” said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

"The emails are very problematic, very disturbing," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said of the email chain that Donald Trump Jr. released Tuesday.

"If you’re ever approached about getting help from a foreign government, the answer is no,” said Graham, a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Trump-Russia investigators probe Jared Kushner-run digital operation

Rep. Adam Schiff of California said he wants the House panel to determine whether Trump aides helped Russia time its cyberattacks or target certain voters and whether there was “any exchange of information, any financial support funneled to organizations that were doing this kind of work.”

Trump son-in-law Kushner, now a senior adviser to the president and the only current White House aide known to be deemed a “person of interest” in the Justice Department investigation, appears to be under the microscope in several respects. His real estate finances and December meetings with Russia’s ambassador and the head of a sanctioned, state-controlled bank are also being examined.

Kushner’s “role as a possible cut-out or conduit for Moscow’s influence operations in the elections,” including his niche overseeing the digital operations, will be closely looked at, said the source knowledgeable about the Justice Department inquiry.

Republican threatens to re-open investigation for Hillary’s emails if media keeps reporting on Russia

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) appeared on CNN Wednesday morning to issue an ultimatum: Congress would be “forced” to start investigating Hillary Clinton’s emails again if Democrats didn’t stop talking about the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with the Russian government.

During an interview with Alisyn Camerota, King lamented the way that the Russia scandal has upended President Donald Trump’s administration — and he said that if such disruptions continued, Congressional Republicans would restart the investigation into the private email server that Hillary Clinton used while she served as Secretary of State.

“If this continues  —  this immobilization of the presidency over these kind of things   it’s going to force Congress to do an investigation, a complete and thorough investigation, and that means go back all the way to the 650,000 emails of Anthony Weiner and look at [former FBI Director James] Comey and his activities,” King said, via ThinkProgress.

For good measure, King also said that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s decision to appoint former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a special prosecutor to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election was the actual “collusion” we should be worried about, as Mueller and Comey are longtime friends.

    Watch the clip below.

After Donald Trump Jr.’s constantly shifting explanations for his meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer, we now know that he, Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort were eager to receive incriminating information about Hillary Clinton that was offered as “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.” Is this the smoking gun investigators have been waiting for?

...So Trump has already delivered one concession closely related to Veselnitskaya’s agenda. He has not eliminated the sanctions regime — which is Putin’s highest diplomatic priority vis-à-vis the United States — but Trump is currently battling tooth and nail to weaken a bill to lock in the sanctions, a bill that the Senate passed 97–2.

WATCH: Cuomo refuses to let Kushner off the hook for Russia meeting because ‘he doesn’t know what he was doing’

Trump ‘rages’ behind closed doors — instead of in front of cameras — as he ponders replacing Priebus

While the news was breaking of the Donald Trump Jr. revelation that the campaign was so desperate for “dirt” on Hillary Clinton they were willing to collude with Russia, President Donald Trump was “raging” behind closed doors.

According to an Associated Press report, the president is furious at the media for what he tweeted was “the greatest political witch hunt in history.” However, even CNN’s Chris Cuomo noted that unless Trump Jr. made up the email, it isn’t a witch hunt.

At the same time, Trump has railed about Chief of Staff Reince Priebus to confidants and the former RNC chair has been a target of criticism for months with constant speculation that a shakeup could happen.

During a Tuesday panel discussion, MSNBC’s Kristen Welker revealed a grim outlook of a White House desperately scrambling to come up with ways to spin the email from Trump Jr.’s email that proves he was willing to collude with the Russian government.

“This is now a White House that is in full damage control,” she explained. “This complicates the narrative even further that we have heard consistently — from the president, from the vice president, from his top officials on down — saying that no one from his campaign met with or knew about Russia’s efforts to try to intervene with Russia’s efforts to intervene in the 2016 race, or to try to collude with them.”

At the same time, White House staffers are terrified of having anything to do with Russian policies because they might end up as part of the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“The White House has been thrust into chaos after days of ever-worsening revelations about a meeting between Donald Trump Jr,” The Washington Post reported. “One White House official went so far as to stop communicating with the president’s embattled son.”

At the same time, the legal teams seem to be confused with how to advocate for their individual clients without throwing another staffer or family member under the bus.

Kushner “knew that was false,” Murphy said. “Either he didn’t alert the president and vice president, or there is a much bigger problem, and the president and vice president knew they were lying. There is a crisis of trust that the White House has to deal with.”

  35. Anonymous11:51 AM

I feel that this whole Trump fiasco will go on his whole term. One scandal after the other. And while this takes place, I think the Trumpsters will continue to hand our country over to Putin because Putin has proven a sure fire method of stealing from one's own country and making it look patriotic.
The Republicans are so entangled int his mess there is no way for either of them to come clean. The hope lies in smart Republicans and maybe there's a few.
