Right Wing media creates alternate reality to protect Donald Trump from facts revealed by Russia investigations.

Courtesy of NPR:

Outlets such as Breitbart and Fox News, and talk radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage have crafted a powerful counternarrative, downplaying or discrediting developments in the Russia probe.

"Fox and Breitbart are providing a kind of air cover for the politicians who are standing with Trump right now, helping keep the Republican Party largely solidified behind Trump," said Nyhan.

On a recent show, talk radio host Laura Ingraham described the investigations as a cynical effort by liberals to distract the White House from its agenda. "This is what their game plan is; this is part of the resistance," she said.

Conservative sources frequently describe special counsel Robert Mueller as part of a conspiracy aimed at bringing down Trump.

"Mr. President, fire Mueller," demanded radio host Savage. "He's a political hack. The American people will be behind you. Don't worry about the fake press."

Conservative sources also work hard to discredit mainstream news sources, identifying them as corrupt or biased or part of an active conspiracy. A Pew study released in May found that only 42 percent of Republicans now believe the media should play an active "watchdog" role monitoring politicians. Only 11 percent of conservative-leaning voters believe traditional media sources are trustworthy.

One voice that is considered trustworthy for many conservatives is that of Limbaugh, the radio host who is viewed as sort of the conservative movement's Walter Cronkite.

Limbaugh tells listeners that the Russia probe is part of an effort to delegitimize Trump and his followers.

"Trump voters are never going to fall for this collusion story and are never going to buy into this notion that the Russians rigged it with Trump," said Limbaugh this week. "They're never going to buy into it. Because it makes them illegitimate. And they are not illegitimate. You people who voted for Trump are not illegitimate."

Conservatives have claimed for years that the mainstream media has a liberal bias, that was what gave Roger Ailes the excuse to create Fox News.

And now they have their own alternative universe of "news" and "facts" which rarely, if ever, line up with the actual factual news.

For them there are no actual facts, only opinion, and THEIR opinions are right, and all other opinions are wrong.

It is essentially a faith based understanding of reality.

Which should be clear once you recognize that Fox News and the other Right Wing news outlets are closely modeled on Pat Robertson's 700 Club.

"protect Donald Trump from facts revealed by Russia investigations"

The last thing Trumpy Dumpy needs... help protecting from facts. He is talented and gifted at protecting himself. The man is a genius in that department. He leads like no other. But cons like Limpy are loyal.

The most abysmal failure of a 'president' in modern history, throwing tantrums like a toddler, using brutal thug tactics to try and bend people to his will. The only talent he has is making an complete ass of himself on a daily basis.

Black Rifles Matter Linc Sample of Boothbay Harbor, Maine put up a homemade sign in his yard. It reads: “Black Rifles Matter.”
It’s an obvious and deliberate riff on the Black Lives Matter protests—Black Humor at its finest.
Linc’s sign protests New England calls to ban “assault rifles.” He recognizes that black urban residents are sometimes “targeted because of their appearance, fair enough. So is my rifle.” Linc says his is strictly a message about gun rights though, that he is not mocking BLM protests.
Nevertheless, the local Chamber of Commerce through mouthpiece town manager Tom Woodin claimed they received complaints about Linc’s sign from tourists: “Some of them [tourists] have cut their vacation short and left early.”

Sinclair Broadcasting Got Federal Favors To Launch Trump TV

The long rumored Trump TV is here, and it’s coopting the local news programs people imagine to be independent, but are actually becoming centrally controlled.

Sinclair Broadcasting is buying dozens of local television stations from the Tribune Company, which will expand their reach to create the largest local news broadcast empire our country has ever seen on TV.

It’s taken some very special help from the Trump Administration.

With the addition of one of Trump’s top surrogates, the stage has been set to distribute Administration propaganda nationally, without telling the audience that they’re watching biased local news, even though it’s branded ABC, CBS or NBC.

Sinclair says it has 173 television stations in 81 markets, broadcasting 514 channels and having affiliations with all the major networks.

By 2013, Sinclair Broadcasting owned more TV stations than anyone else in the country.

Now, they will vastly exceed the FCC’s cap on how much local television market share a single corporation — 39% of the national viewing market to be precise — is allowed to hold after purchasing the Tribune company’s 42 stations and 14 more in a separate deal.

But first, they cut a deal with during the campaign with Jared Kushner for “good” coverage of the Trump Administration, which seems to have paid off with a major regulatory change in their favor.

That’s why Sinclair began running softball interviews with Trump last August.

In fact, Sinclair is known for issuing “must run” orders with their slanted news.

Gryphen needs to dig deeper in Russia. They came to America in 1914 with money deposits, and then in 1917 staged a great "tragedy" while they got escorted out and left their people's behind. They "brainwashed" the Americans, and when you all start connecting the dots, well you will have unhappy American campers, possible a civil war.
    Russia money paid for wars.
Look at Pearl Harbor. Then 9-11.
Is it waking your brain up yet?
Look at the 1929 stock market crash. Too much money does that.
The Russians have been here for over a century now. Wake up USA.
    Before Trumpty makes it worse!
Take your power and country back.
    You better hurry up folks...

Alt/Con radio sure know their farts about Trump on Mueller. Limp One, how about nuke options?

"I am very disappointed in China," Trump wrote in a pair of Twitter posts. "...they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk. We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!"

Alaska is not a state that can be trusted. We know how they can lie and cover up since they wanted one of their governors to be president, by way of the vice president office.
So how successful are they with the latest message to Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un?

Can Jong-un believe Alaska is not lying about THAAD, why would North Korean Supreme Leader trust or believe anything Alaska?
Why would they believe the hype about a 'successful' THAAD?

Like Russia and China, also North Korea would know all about how in America the media was not free to get to the truth about Sarah Palin and what and how she managed to get and remain on the ticket with John McCain.

Kim Jong-un has been studying Alaska longer than some Republicans knew there is a North and South Korea.
Jong-un has his own depraved and debauched fascinations. He would know more details of Sarah Palin, and her baby makers, than any American or European blog or news. He would know how they are into propaganda, how they lie to their citizens as they wave their USA flags.
China, North Korea, Russia, each one or all of them may have Trigs DNA and birth certificate. It is America corruptness that lies and fools their citizens. It is America that is in the dark and has no free speech when it comes to some of America's biggest criminals and those that steal or try to steal elections.

So why would North Korea think this THAAD is anything other than more propaganda?

Sinclair Broadcasting – and 2 Maine TV stations – under fire for pro-Trump segments

To the dismay of the president's opponents, WGME and WPFO carry the taped segments on orders from their corporate owner.

Marc McCutcheon of South Portland was watching WGME’s evening newscast as he has for half a century when something came on that shocked him.

In the midst of the local news, a taped commentary from President Trump’s former special assistant Boris Epshteyn appeared on the screen, trumpeting the administration’s position with what he thought selective use and abuse of facts.

McCutcheon, a small-business owner and political independent, describes the experience as “surreal,” “extremely jarring” and “so out of place with the friendly, local broadcast from news people I’ve come to trust over the years.” There was no rebuttal, no context, no alternate point of view – a situation he found concerning.

WGME-TV (Channel 13) and WPFO-TV (Channel 23) each carry the segments nine times a week on orders from their owner, the Maryland-based Sinclair Broadcasting Group, the nation’s largest owner of local television stations and an aggressive, unabashed disseminator of conservative commentary supporting the Trump wing of the Republican Party.

The company has been in the national news regularly this year because the pro-Trump segments are appearing at the same time the company is awaiting approval from the Trump administration for it to purchase the 42 stations of the Tribune Media company, which will extend its reach to 72 percent of American households.

Epshteyn has been a Sinclair employee since April. His pieces are produced at Sinclair’s headquarters outside Baltimore and distributed to the company’s 173 local stations on a “must run” basis, along with conservative commentary from a former company executive, Mark Hyman, and nightly updates from their Terrorism Alert Desk, regardless of whether there was any terrorism that day to be alerted about. No segments present countervailing points of view.

Russia is better with propaganda and their lies are more believable for more people in Russia. They do better with education, at least, the people that are able to have an education. But they keep individuals down, to share in any success or business you need to buy into their Putin spiel.
I am not in Alaska but west coast, in Cali now. Long before any of this Russia, Palin seeing Russia, long before that. When I began to learn about our indigenous people I found that the Europeans and early explorers were mostly about destroying anything that was not their new world. Some French and the Russians were the ones that had the most interest in the civilizations others had to destroy. That was how it was where I lived.
Hence, we did not have many artifacts or things remaining of the original culture. More of what remained was in Russia. They were not so brutal and torched earth in their old quests in the new world. They would have a wider more complete perspective of history.
That would give them a more complete view of America now. Unfortunately, we pick out parts we want at a moment in time and make up a narrow history to fit one of man's ideologies.

It’s not Fox News, with its angry anchors and aging audience. It’s Circa, a colorful digital media site aimed at viewers in their teens and 20s.

Circa is owned by the Sinclair Media Broadcast Group, which owns or operates more than 170 television stations across the country and calls itself America’s “leading local news provider”. As Sinclair expands, it has faced speculation that it could become a conservative challenger to Fox News.

For months, Circa has attracted special attention from other news outlets for a series of scoops on the progress of the Russian investigation that many saw as shoring up the administration’s narrative.

The latest scoop came on Thursday, when Circa reported that a high-ranking FBI official, general counsel James A Baker, was “the top suspect in an ongoing leak investigation”, having allegedly leaked “classified national security information to the media”.

The report cited “multiple government officials close to the probe” who spoke “on the condition of anonymity”, and said an FBI spokeswoman declined to comment.

The scoop came at the end of a bruising week for the attorney general, Jeff Sessions, who faced pressure from the president over his decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation, a move Sessions defended as the only lawful choice. On Twitter, Trump criticized Sessions’ “VERY weak position” on leaks. A day before the Circa scoop, Fox News reported that Sessions would soon announce an investigation into intelligence leaks.

On Thursday night, the MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow examined the way the story played into the administration’s “counter narrative”. Calling Circa a “pro-Trump conservative media outlet”, she said Sinclair was “emerging as kind of a successor to Breitbart News”.
