President Trump's former campaign adviser Roger Stone told TMZ that any politician who votes to impeach Trump “would be endangering their own life.”
“Try to impeach him. Just try it,” Stone said. “You will have a spasm of violence, an insurrection in this country like you have never seen before. Both sides are heavily armed, my friend.”
Stone said members of Congress who are advocating for Trump’s impeachment need to “get over it.”
“The people who are calling for impeachment are the people who didn’t vote for him,” Stone said. “They lose. Their candidate had every advantage.”
“Sorry, we whipped their ass,” he continued. “It’s over. You lost.”
Man I REALLY don't like this guy.
And yes he is clearly unhinged.
However having said that I am not completely sure is wrong about the response to an attempt to impeach Trump.
His followers are batshit crazy, and all it would really take to incite them to violence is one tweet from Trump.
Of course Stone is wrong to assume that this would be some battle between the armed Left and the armed Right on the streets of America. Instead these angry Trump supporters would be almost immediately wiped out by the US Military resulting in a one sided conflict that could see multiple Right Wing casualties.
Hey, I think I just came up with a silver lining here.

No, there will not be civil war if Trump is impeached. Because if he is, it will be because of an overwhelming preponderance of that even the Republicans can't ignore. They have the majority in both houses and it will be the Republicans that will impeach Trump. Without them the Democrats can't do anything. So it will be the REPUBLICANS THAT WILL IMPEACH TRUMP. And if they do, if Paul Ryan and Bitch McConnell move to impeach Trump and urge their colleagues to support impeachment, there will be no civil war. Trump will lose even more support and only the truly deranged will dig in their heels.
They'll look to Pence. And if Pence wants to behave presidential and truly do something to heal the damage Trump has done, he'll support the Republicans and make it clear that the evidence is true and honest and that Trump must be remove from office for .
But I don't think it is going to come to that. I think Mueller will gather a shitload of rock solid evidence and right before he is set to act, Trump will cut a deal and resign in return for no prison time. Pence will pardon the piece of crap. He'll get to keep his healthcare, his Secret Service, all his SWAG and will sponge off his name and his "title" for the rest of his miserable life.
